A New York car service from Elly8.net is a pre-booked chauffeured car with the price fixed before you land: JFK to Midtown from US$210 in a business sedan, LaGuardia from US$145, Newark from US$215 and Teterboro from US$170. The price covers the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet; tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost.
Rides in New York City are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. The desk tracks your flight so the car is there when you actually land.
How much is a car service from JFK to Manhattan?
A fixed Elly8.net car service from JFK to Midtown Manhattan costs from US$210 in a business sedan, US$275 in a business SUV and US$550 in an Executive Sprinter for groups. The price is all-in for the vehicle, with flight tracking and a chauffeur waiting inside arrivals. Tolls are billed at cost.
The JFK run is about 18 miles (29 km), roughly 29 minutes on a clear road, but New York roads are rarely clear. Plan on the Van Wyck and the Long Island Expressway or the Belt Parkway, and allow 60 to 90 minutes in the weekday afternoon peak. A round trip, out to JFK and back into Manhattan later, is priced from US$400 in a business sedan to US$1,045 in an Executive Sprinter. First Class sedans start at US$370 and First Class SUVs at US$340.
Every JFK pickup is tracked, so the pickup time moves with the real landing, with complimentary waiting after a tracked landing. Your chauffeur meets you inside arrivals with a name board and walks you to the car, which matters at JFK, where curbs are busy and enforcement is strict.
JFK, LaGuardia, Newark and Teterboro: where the chauffeur meets you
New York is four airports, not one, and the right one depends on where you are going. The table gives road distance to Midtown, clear-road time and the starting fixed price in a business sedan and an Executive Sprinter.
| Airport | Distance to Midtown | Clear-road time | Business Sedan | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| JFK International (JFK) | 18 mi (29 km) | about 29 min | US$210 | US$550 |
| LaGuardia (LGA) | 9 mi (14 km) | about 17 min | US$145 | US$380 |
| Newark Liberty (EWR) | 19 mi (31 km) | about 34 min | US$215 | US$560 |
| Teterboro (TEB) | 12 mi (20 km) | about 25 min | US$170 | US$445 |
JFK. The airport currently serves passengers from Terminals 1, 4, 5, 7 and 8, and it is in the middle of a large redevelopment, so roadways and curbs shift from month to month. JetBlue is in Terminal 5, Delta is mainly in Terminal 4 and American is in Terminal 8. With a pre-booked car you do not need to learn the current layout: send the flight number and the chauffeur meets you in the arrivals hall of your terminal. That is the simplest way to book a JFK car service during construction.
LaGuardia. The closest airport to Midtown and the Upper East Side, about 9 miles (14 km) away, usually via the Grand Central Parkway and the RFK Bridge or the Queens-Midtown Tunnel. Terminals B and C are both rebuilt. LGA to Midtown starts at US$145 in a business sedan, US$190 in a business SUV and US$380 in an Executive Sprinter; a round trip is from US$280.
Newark. Often the best choice for the West Side, Hudson Yards, Tribeca and Lower Manhattan, depending on the tunnels. Newark is about 19 miles (31 km) from Midtown and around 34 minutes on a clear road via the New Jersey Turnpike and the Lincoln or Holland Tunnel. Fixed prices run from US$215 in a business sedan to US$560 in an Executive Sprinter, and from US$410 for a round trip.
Teterboro. The private aviation airport for Manhattan, about 12 miles (20 km) away in New Jersey and the usual choice for business jets and charters. Teterboro to Midtown starts at US$170 in a business sedan, US$300 in a First Class sedan and US$445 in an Executive Sprinter. Give the desk the tail number and FBO, and the car is staged there; see private jet and FBO car service.
Taxi vs Uber vs AirTrain vs a pre-booked car from JFK
New York has good public options and a regulated taxi fare, and they are often the right choice. Here is the honest comparison from JFK to Midtown, with the official numbers.
| Option | Price to Midtown | Time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yellow taxi (flat fare) | US$70 flat, plus surcharges, tolls and tip | 45 to 90 min | One or two travellers, light bags, taxi line is short |
| AirTrain + subway | US$8.75 + US$3 = US$11.75 | 60 to 75 min | Solo traveller with a carry-on, daytime |
| AirTrain + LIRR from Jamaica | US$8.75 + US$7.25 peak (US$5.25 off-peak) | 45 to 60 min | Solo traveller heading to Penn Station or Grand Central |
| Uber / Lyft / Uber Black | Dynamic, set by the app at booking | 45 to 90 min | Off-peak trips when surge is low |
| Elly8.net business sedan | from US$210, fixed and all-in | 45 to 90 min | Late flights, meetings, families, fixed budgets |
| Elly8.net Executive Sprinter | from US$550 for the vehicle | 45 to 90 min | Groups with luggage, crews, delegations |
The taxi flat fare. Under the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission fare rules, a yellow cab between JFK and Manhattan is a US$70 flat fare, plus a US$0.50 MTA surcharge, a US$1.00 improvement surcharge, the US$2.50 New York State congestion surcharge south of 96th Street, the US$0.75 congestion pricing toll in the zone south of 60th Street and a US$2.00 airport access fee on pickups. Add US$5.00 on weekdays from 4 pm to 8 pm, then tolls and tip. For one traveller with a roller bag, the official taxi line is good value.
The AirTrain. According to JFK Airport's AirTrain page, the single-ride AirTrain fare is US$8.75, paid by contactless card, phone or OMNY when you enter or exit at Jamaica or Howard Beach; trains between terminals run every 5 to 15 minutes. From Jamaica you continue on the subway (US$3 base fare) or the Long Island Rail Road (US$7.25 peak, US$5.25 off-peak to Penn Station). It is the cheapest way in, and with two large suitcases the hardest.
Rideshare at JFK. App rides use designated pickup areas, usually in front of each terminal after baggage claim. During construction, JFK's ride-share page notes that pickups for Terminals 5 and 7 have temporarily moved to the Howard Beach AirTrain Station, which means a train ride before the car ride. The price is set by the app at the moment you request, so a late-night arrival during a storm or after a Garden concert can cost more than a fixed car. Our Uber Black vs a pre-booked chauffeur comparison goes through this in detail.
LaGuardia and Newark numbers. The Port Authority's LaGuardia taxi estimate to Times Square and the Theater District is US$30 to US$52 on the meter before tips, tolls and congestion pricing, and the Q70 LaGuardia Link bus to the Jackson Heights subway hub is free. LaGuardia's ride app pickups are on Level 2 of the Terminal B parking garage and in the arrivals inner lane at Terminal C. At Newark, the Port Authority's taxi zone fares are US$65 to the West Side between 14th and 50th Streets, plus a US$2.00 access fee, tolls, a US$10 weekday rush-hour charge into New York and US$1 per bag. AirTrain Newark to the rail station is US$8.75 if you do not already hold an NJ Transit or Amtrak ticket.
When the chauffeur wins. The fixed price does not surge. It wins for groups who would need two taxis, families who need child seats, executives with a meeting to make, and anyone landing after midnight. See chauffeur vs taxi and chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft for the full comparisons.
Manhattan districts, hotels and how the car works around them
Most rides start or end at a Manhattan hotel or office, and every district has its own rules of the road.
Midtown and the Plaza District. Fifth, Madison and Park Avenues and the hotels around Central Park South. Avenue traffic moves, cross streets do not, so the chauffeur usually waits on the avenue side rather than block a side street.
Times Square and the Theater District. Broadway curtain times create predictable gridlock before and after the shows, so arrange a pickup corner a block from the theatre. The Broadway League lists current shows and running times, which helps the desk set the return pickup.
Hudson Yards, the West Side and downtown. Hudson Yards sits near the Lincoln Tunnel and the Javits Center, a good base for Newark and Teterboro. The Financial District, Tribeca and SoHo are efficient for Newark via the Holland Tunnel; on narrow SoHo streets the car may wait around the corner.
The Upper East and West Sides, Brooklyn and Queens. LaGuardia is usually the fastest airport from the Upper East Side. Rides also cover Williamsburg, DUMBO, Brooklyn Heights and Long Island City; any address not on the price list is priced in the web booker below the hero.
Javits, the Garden, Barclays, MetLife and the events that fill the city
New York's demand peaks around a short list of venues and a calendar that repeats every year. When these dates land on your trip, book early, because vehicles, especially SUVs and Sprinters, sell out across the city.
Javits Center. The convention centre on the far West Side between 34th and 40th Streets hosts the New York International Auto Show, published for March 26 to April 4, 2027, plus trade shows across the year. Exhibitor teams book Sprinters for hotel-to-Javits runs; see conference and trade show transportation.
Madison Square Garden. The arena above Penn Station, home of the Knicks and Rangers and of many of the city's biggest concerts. After events the car waits a few blocks away and the chauffeur sends the pickup corner; the Madison Square Garden site lists event times.
Barclays Center. Brooklyn's arena at Flatbush and Atlantic Avenues; pickups are easiest a block off Flatbush.
MetLife Stadium. In East Rutherford, New Jersey, home of the Giants and the Jets. Game days back up the Lincoln Tunnel and Route 3, so the desk confirms the drop-off lot when you book. An Executive Sprinter with driver is the usual choice for groups; see sports event and game-day transportation.
US Open tennis. Late August into September at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, Queens; hourly bookings let the car wait out a night session.
UN General Assembly week. Every September, the high-level week of the UN General Assembly brings heads of state and delegations to the East Side, with security zones, motorcades and closures around First Avenue and the Midtown hotels. Delegations book weeks ahead; our government, diplomatic and delegation transportation service is built for these days, with NDAs on request.
The New York season. The TCS New York City Marathon on the first Sunday of November closes bridges and avenues in all five boroughs, Thanksgiving brings the Macy's parade through Midtown, and December fills the hotels around Rockefeller Center. For galas, premieres and award nights, see event transportation.
Corporate travel, roadshows and hourly chauffeurs in Manhattan
Much of New York's corporate car work is not airport work: a banker going from Park Avenue to Hudson Yards and back, an investor roadshow with eight meetings in a day, or a legal team moving between courthouses downtown.
The hourly price, as directed, starts at US$105 an hour in a business sedan, US$135 in a business SUV and US$210 in an Executive Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum. A full-day chauffeur starts at US$775 in a business sedan and US$1,550 in an Executive Sprinter. The corporate roadshow day, built around a fixed meeting schedule, starts at US$945 in a business sedan, US$1,215 in a business SUV and US$1,530 in a First Class sedan. Read more on corporate car service and investor roadshow chauffeurs.
Companies that book regularly can open a corporate account with monthly invoicing, one invoice per cost centre, and travellers booked by an assistant or travel desk. When a chauffeur waits outside a meeting, an hourly chauffeur is usually cheaper than a series of one-way rides, and you are never looking for a car on a wet Midtown corner.
Nights out, weddings and the private city tour
Evening out and event night. The evening package starts at US$525 in a business sedan, US$675 in a business SUV and US$1,050 in an Executive Sprinter, and covers dinner, a show and the ride home. Groups use the Sprinter so everyone arrives together. The chauffeur follows New York's rules on passengers and alcohol.
Weddings. A wedding limousine and guest shuttle plan usually pairs a First Class car for the couple with a Sprinter for the wedding party, from Manhattan ceremonies to Long Island estates.
Private city highlights tour. From US$420 in a business sedan to US$840 in an Executive Sprinter: the High Line and Hudson Yards, Central Park, the Empire State Building, the 9/11 Memorial, Brooklyn Bridge views from DUMBO and the skyline from the Queens waterfront. More ideas are on our private city tours page.
The Hamptons day trip and nearby cities
The signature day trip from Manhattan is a 10-hour Hamptons day: Southampton, East Hampton and Sag Harbor, the beaches and villages, then back to the city in the evening. It is priced from US$970 in a business sedan, US$1,245 in a business SUV and US$1,935 in an Executive Sprinter for a group. For one-way trips out east, see our Hamptons car service page.
Elly8.net also runs fixed-price cars in the cities around New York:

- Philadelphia car service for PHL, Center City and city-to-city rides down the New Jersey Turnpike.
- Atlantic City limo service for the Boardwalk casinos, about two and a half hours from Manhattan.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a car service from JFK to Manhattan?
A fixed Elly8.net car service from JFK to Midtown Manhattan starts at US$210 in a business sedan, US$275 in a business SUV, US$340 in a First Class SUV and US$550 in an Executive Sprinter. The price includes the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet inside arrivals. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost.
Where will my chauffeur meet me at JFK or LaGuardia?
Inside the arrivals hall of your terminal, holding a name board, after you collect your bags. The desk tracks the flight, so the chauffeur adjusts to early and late landings. You do not need to go to the ride app pickup areas or the taxi line. If you cannot find your chauffeur, call the 24/7 desk and we connect you directly.
How long will the chauffeur wait if my flight is late?
Every airport pickup is flight-tracked, so the pickup time moves with the actual landing, and you get complimentary waiting after a tracked landing to clear immigration and collect bags. If customs runs long, message the desk and we keep the car; extra waiting beyond the included time is billed at cost.
Are child seats available for New York airport transfers?
Yes. Child seats are available on request; add the number and type (infant, convertible or booster) when you book and the chauffeur installs them before pickup. For families landing at JFK or Newark, it is a main reason to pre-book.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations more than 72 hours before pickup are free. Within 72 hours a 10% charge applies, within 48 hours 50%, and within 24 hours or for a no-show the full fare is charged. Refunds go back to the original card. The full terms are on the cancellation policy page.
Do you have vehicles for groups and delegations in New York?
Yes. The Executive Sprinter carries larger groups with luggage, and the desk can schedule several vehicles for one arrival, such as a UN week delegation or a Javits exhibitor team. Prices are per vehicle, so the JFK Sprinter at US$550 often costs less per person than several taxis.
Is Elly8.net a good choice for corporate travel in New York?
Yes. Companies can open a corporate account with monthly invoicing and book hourly cars from US$105 an hour (3-hour minimum) or a corporate roadshow day from US$945. NDAs are available on request for confidential meetings.
Do you serve Teterboro and private jet arrivals?
Yes. Teterboro to Midtown Manhattan starts at US$170 in a business sedan, US$300 in a First Class sedan and US$445 in an Executive Sprinter. Send the tail number, FBO and estimated arrival time, and the car is staged at the FBO before the jet lands.
