Ask ten limousine companies what a limo costs and you will get ten answers, most of them "it depends" followed by a request for your details. The honest answer does depend on a few things: which vehicle, how far, for how long and in which city. But it does not have to be a mystery.
Every price on Elly8.net is published, fixed and all-in, in US dollars, for 141 cities in the USA, Canada and Europe. That gives us something most price guides lack: real numbers across hundreds of routes. This page summarises them, explains what moves the price up or down, and shows typical costs for airport transfers, hourly bookings, weddings, nights out and business days.
How much does a limo cost per hour?
Across the 141 Elly8.net cities, a chauffeured Business Sedan costs from US$85 to US$115 an hour, a Business SUV from US$110 to US$145, and an Executive Sprinter from US$170 to US$230, with a 3-hour minimum. Prices are fixed and include the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity.
The most common hourly price is US$95 an hour for a Business Sedan, used in 49 of our cities, including Las Vegas. New York, Los Angeles and London are US$105 an hour, Toronto US$110, Chicago and Miami US$100, and Paris US$90. The lowest, US$85, applies in cities such as Rome, Barcelona, Lisbon and Athens; the highest, US$115, is Aspen.
What is included in the price
Every Elly8.net price is per vehicle, not per person, and includes:
- the chauffeur and the vehicle,
- taxes,
- the standard gratuity,
- airport meet and greet on airport routes, with flight tracking and complimentary waiting after a tracked landing.
Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost and listed separately. There is no surge pricing, no fuel surcharge and no tip to calculate at the end. When comparing quotes from other companies, check which of these are included; a lower headline rate without gratuity, taxes and meet and greet can end up costing more.
Airport transfer prices
Airport transfers are the most booked service. The price depends mostly on distance and on the city. Across our network, one-way airport transfers in a Business Sedan range from US$90, for example Lisbon Airport to Avenida da Liberdade or Warsaw Chopin to Srodmiescie, up to US$1,235 for the long mountain drive from Denver International to downtown Aspen.
| Airport route | Business Sedan | Business SUV | First Class Sedan | First Class SUV | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| JFK to Midtown Manhattan | US$210 | US$275 | US$370 | US$340 | US$550 |
| LaGuardia to Midtown Manhattan | US$145 | US$190 | US$255 | US$235 | US$380 |
| Newark to Midtown Manhattan | US$215 | US$280 | US$380 | US$345 | US$560 |
| LAX to Beverly Hills | US$170 | US$225 | US$300 | US$275 | US$445 |
| O'Hare to the Loop and Magnificent Mile | US$215 | US$280 | US$380 | US$345 | US$560 |
| Midway to the Loop and Magnificent Mile | US$160 | US$210 | US$280 | US$260 | US$420 |
| MIA to Miami Beach | US$180 | US$235 | US$315 | US$290 | US$470 |
| Harry Reid (LAS) to the Las Vegas Strip | US$125 | US$165 | US$220 | US$200 | US$325 |
| Toronto Pearson to downtown Toronto | US$155 | US$205 | US$275 | US$250 | US$405 |
| Heathrow to Mayfair, London | US$195 | US$255 | US$345 | US$315 | US$510 |
| Charles de Gaulle to the 8th arrondissement, Paris | US$170 | US$225 | US$300 | US$275 | US$445 |
Round trips are priced slightly below two one-way trips. JFK to Midtown and back is US$400 in a Business Sedan, against US$420 for two singles. Every city page lists its airports, one-way and round-trip prices; start with New York, Los Angeles, Chicago or Toronto, or see airport transfers.
Hourly prices by city
Hourly bookings, also called "as directed", keep the car and chauffeur with you for meetings, shopping, a wedding or a night out. The minimum is 3 hours.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| New York | US$105 | US$135 | US$170 | US$160 | US$210 |

| London | US$105 | US$135 | US$170 | US$160 | US$210 |
| Toronto | US$110 | US$140 | US$180 | US$165 | US$220 |
| Chicago | US$100 | US$125 | US$160 | US$150 | US$200 |
| Miami | US$100 | US$125 | US$160 | US$150 | US$200 |

| Paris | US$90 | US$115 | US$145 | US$135 | US$180 |
So a 3-hour minimum in a Business Sedan costs US$315 in New York, US$285 in Las Vegas and US$270 in Paris. See hourly chauffeur for how as-directed bookings work.

What changes the price
The vehicle. The biggest single factor. In New York, JFK to Midtown runs from US$210 in a Business Sedan to US$550 in an Executive Sprinter. First Class cars sit in between.
Distance and route. Longer airport runs cost more: LaGuardia to Midtown is US$145, Newark US$215. Mountain resorts with long drives from the airport are at the top of the range.
The city. Prices reflect local operating costs. The same hourly Business Sedan is US$85 in Rome and US$115 in Aspen.
Time. For hourly bookings, the number of hours over the 3-hour minimum. For transfers, time of day does not change the price; there is no surge.
Extras billed at cost. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time. A tracked flight delay itself does not add a charge, because complimentary waiting applies after a tracked landing.
Cancellation timing. Free more than 72 hours before pickup, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show.
Typical costs by occasion
Airport run for one or two. US$125 to US$215 in a Business Sedan in most major North American cities, as the table shows.
Wedding. Most couples book a car for the day by the hour or a full-day package, plus SUVs or Sprinters for family and guest shuttles. A Business Sedan full day in New York is US$775; an Executive Sprinter at US$210 an hour for 5 hours is US$1,050. See wedding limousine.
Prom or graduation. Usually an evening or hourly booking for the group; an Executive Sprinter evening package is US$1,050 in New York, shared between the group. See prom limousine.
Night out, concert or game. The evening out and event night package, from US$475 in a Business Sedan in Las Vegas to US$550 in Toronto. See event transportation.
Business day. An hourly chauffeur for meetings, or a corporate roadshow day from US$810 in Paris to US$990 in Toronto. See roadshow chauffeur.
Stretch limousines and party buses. These are not on the fixed city price lists. Ask the desk or use the web booker for a quote where available; see limousine service and party bus rental.
How limo prices compare with taxis, rideshare and trains
A chauffeur is not the cheapest way to travel, and it should not pretend to be. In New York, the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission sets the JFK to Manhattan taxi flat fare at US$70 plus surcharges, tolls and tip. In Chicago, the CTA Blue Line from O'Hare is a US$5 fare according to the Chicago Transit Authority. Heathrow Express reaches Paddington in 15 minutes from £10 advance.
What you pay for with a chauffeur is the reservation: a car and chauffeur waiting for you, a fixed price, meet and greet, room for luggage, child seats on request and no surge. For groups, the per-vehicle price often makes the cost per person close to a taxi. We compare these in detail on chauffeur vs taxi and chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft.
Price per person: why groups pay less
Because prices are per vehicle, sharing changes the maths. An Executive Sprinter from O'Hare to the Loop at US$560 shared by eight colleagues is US$70 each. A Business SUV from MIA to Miami Beach at US$235 shared by four is under US$60 each. For a group, the right question is the cost per person, not the cost of the car.

A family weekend in Las Vegas. Harry Reid Airport to the Strip and back in a Business SUV at US$315 round trip, plus the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead day trip at US$665 in a Business SUV: US$980 for the family's ground transport.
A long weekend in Paris. Charles de Gaulle to the 8th arrondissement in a Business Sedan at US$170, the Champagne day trip to Reims and Epernay at US$830, and Orly back at US$135: US$1,135 for the car, booked before you fly.
