The 69th Daytona 500 is on Sunday, February 21, 2027, at Daytona International Speedway, according to the Speedway's official site. It opens the NASCAR Cup Series season and closes Speedweeks presented by AdventHealth, a full week of racing that in 2027 starts with the return of the Clash at Daytona on Saturday night, February 13, for the first time since 2021. The Speedway says its fans come from all 50 states and dozens of countries.
Daytona Beach is not on our city list, but most visitors fly into Orlando, and that is where the car starts. On our routing the Speedway is about 63 miles (102 km) from International Drive and about 66 miles (106 km) from Orlando International Airport, around 80 to 90 minutes on a clear road and much longer on race morning. Elly8.net plans the day as a chauffeured round trip from Orlando: a pickup at your hotel, a drop-off at the Speedway's official rideshare point, the chauffeur waiting through the race, and the drive back, at fixed, all-in prices.
How do you get to the Daytona 500 from Orlando?
By car on I-4 east, about 63 miles (102 km) from International Drive. Book a chauffeured race day: the car drops you at the Speedway's official rideshare pick-up and drop-off near Lot 1, on the International Speedway Boulevard frontage road by Cracker Barrel, waits through the race and drives you back to Orlando.
The Speedway's directions and parking page sets out how race day works. General Lots 7 and 8 offer free parking options, with a shuttle from Lot 7 at Clyde Morris Boulevard and Jimmy Ann Drive; paid Lots 1, 3, 4 and 8 are closest, with advance purchase for select events and day-of parking until full. The official rideshare pick-up and drop-off is near Lot 1, off the frontage street near Cracker Barrel on eastbound International Speedway Boulevard, with signs posted along the boulevard. Lot availability and pricing vary by event, and the Speedway asks fans to check the event page before race week.
After the checkered flag, the Speedway asks drivers to be patient inside the parking areas and keep a navigation app open for the best route to I-95, I-4 or the beachside. That exit is the longest part of the day, and it is where a chauffeur who knows the agreed meeting point earns the fare.

Arriving in Orlando: MCO and Sanford
Our Orlando prices are set to International Drive, per vehicle and all-in:
| Airport | Distance to International Drive | To the Speedway | Business Sedan | Business SUV | First Class Sedan | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Orlando International (MCO) | about 13 mi (22 km), about 23 min clear | about 66 mi (106 km) | US$155 | US$205 | US$275 | US$405 |
| Orlando Sanford (SFB) | about 37 mi (60 km), about 53 min clear | about 43 mi (69 km) | US$275 | US$360 | US$485 | US$715 |
MCO has three passenger terminals, A and B in the original building and the newer Terminal C. Your chauffeur tracks the flight, meets you inside arrivals with a name board and waits at no charge after a tracked landing; the airport's ground transportation pages set out where taxis and app rides load at each terminal. Sanford is closer to Daytona than MCO is, so if you land at SFB and go straight to a beachside hotel, enter the address in the web booker for the fixed price. Daytona Beach International Airport sits beside the Speedway; it is not on our price list, but the web booker prices any pickup there. See airport transfers and meet and greet. For private aircraft, see private jet and FBO car service.
Race-day packages from Orlando
A Daytona 500 day from Orlando is long: the drive out, the pre-race build-up, several hours of racing, the wait in the lots and the drive back. The corporate roadshow day, ten hours with the car and chauffeur at your disposal, is the package that fits; the full-day chauffeur (eight hours) suits a qualifying day or a race you plan to leave early.
| Package | Business Sedan | Business SUV | First Class Sedan | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Full-day chauffeur (8 hours) | US$700 | US$885 | US$1,145 | US$1,400 |
| Corporate roadshow day (10 hours) | US$855 | US$1,080 | US$1,395 | US$1,710 |
| By the hour, as directed (3-hour minimum) | US$95 per hour | US$120 per hour | US$155 per hour | US$190 per hour |
| Evening out & event night (5 hours) | US$475 | US$600 | US$775 | US$950 |
Waiting beyond the included time, parking and tolls are billed at cost, and we tell you before the day how much margin we recommend for a race that runs long. Prices include the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity. For a one-way drop to a Daytona Beach hotel instead, use the city-to-city car service in the web booker. Our sports event transportation page explains how we plan stadium drop-offs and the post-race wait, and by the hour covers shorter days.
The chauffeur follows Florida's rules on drinks in vehicles; tailgating happens in the lots, not in the car.
Groups, hospitality and corporate guests
Race day is a group day. An Executive Sprinter carries up to 12 passengers with coolers and bags within the Speedway's rules, and a ten-hour Sprinter day from Orlando is US$1,710 all-in, which works out to about US$143 a head for a full van. Several vehicles can run under one reference with one meeting point near the rideshare area. See group transportation and Sprinter van hire with a driver.
Companies entertaining clients in suites or hospitality areas should tell us the venue; some hospitality lots are reserved for pass holders, and the drop-off depends on the credential. A corporate account puts the week on one monthly invoice with a reference per guest, and travel planners can book through travel-agent accounts. The desk signs NDAs on request; Elly8.net provides transportation, not security.
Daytona 500 transport options compared honestly
| Option | Cost | Best for | Weak point |
|---|---|---|---|
| Drive yourself, free Lot 7 or 8 | Free lots on select events, plus shuttle from Lot 7 | Drivers who want to tailgate | 63 miles each way, then the exit queue |
| Drive yourself, paid lots | Per the Speedway's event page | Closest parking | Sell out; still the long drive home |
| Rideshare from Orlando | Varies, rises with demand | Rarely sensible at this distance | Few drivers for a 63-mile return after the race |
| Official travel packages | Per package | Fans who want tickets, hotel and transport in one | Fixed group schedule |
| Elly8.net chauffeured race day | From US$855 for 10 hours in a business sedan | Families, groups, corporate guests, no designated driver | Book ahead; race weekend fills early |
If you are a local fan who wants to tailgate, drive yourself and use the free lots; that is the cheapest way to see the race, and we say so. The Speedway's official travel package provider offers packages that can include raceday transportation, which suits some visitors. Rideshare is fine around Daytona Beach itself, but asking an app driver to bring you back to Orlando after 200 laps, with every car leaving at once, is a gamble. A pre-booked chauffeur wins when nobody in the group wants to drive 126 miles on race day, when there are children or older guests, when you are hosting clients, or when you want to know the full cost before you fly. Compare in chauffeur vs renting a car and chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft.
In Orlando itself, a taxi from MCO to International Drive is metered, with no flat rates authorized, according to the airport's taxi page, and the airport estimates about US$38 to US$45. For a solo traveler with a carry-on, that and the LYNX bus are sensible choices for the airport leg.
Around the race
Many race visitors make a week of it. The Kennedy Space Center day trip from Orlando (8 hours) runs from US$700 in a business sedan to US$1,400 in an Executive Sprinter, and the private city highlights tour from US$380 to US$760. Elly8.net also covers Jacksonville, Tampa, Palm Beach and Miami, and our Orlando car service page covers the theme parks and convention district. Flights and hotels can be booked through our travel partner BookingWorldwide.net; Elly8.net books the car.
How booking works

About 63 miles (102 km) from International Drive and about 66 miles (106 km) from MCO on our routing, around 80 to 90 minutes on a clear road. Race morning on I-4 and International Speedway Boulevard takes much longer, so the car leaves early.

The ten-hour corporate roadshow day is US$855 in a business sedan, US$1,080 in a business SUV and US$1,710 in an Executive Sprinter, all-in. Waiting beyond the included time, parking and tolls are billed at cost.
Where does the car drop me off at the Speedway?
At the official rideshare pick-up and drop-off near Lot 1, off the frontage street near Cracker Barrel on eastbound International Speedway Boulevard, according to the Speedway. The chauffeur meets you at the same point after the race; the time is confirmed by text.
Is it cheaper to drive myself?
Yes, usually. The Speedway offers free general lots on select events, and driving is the cheapest option if someone is happy to drive 126 miles on race day. A chauffeur suits groups, families, corporate guests and anyone who wants a fixed cost and no driving.

Yes, on request. Tell us each child's age and weight when you book so the right seat is fitted before pickup. A Business SUV or Executive Sprinter gives a family room for coats, bags and a long day.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 72 hours before pickup and it is free. At 72 hours or less the fee is 10%, at 48 hours or less 50%, and at 24 hours or less, or a no-show, 100%. Refunds go to the original card. Times can be changed through the 24/7 desk.
