Limousine service means two things to two kinds of traveller. To a business traveller, "the limo" is the black sedan that meets the flight. To everyone else, a limousine is the celebration car: a stretch limo at the church door, a stretch SUV for a birthday, a party bus for a night out, a Rolls-Royce for the bride. Elly8.net books both, and this page is about the second kind.
The fixed packages on every city page cover the evening and event booking in five classes, from a business sedan to an Executive Sprinter for twelve: an evening out starts at US$425 in cities such as Barcelona and Prague and is US$550 in Toronto and Canadian cities, with New York, Los Angeles and London at US$525. Stretch limousines, stretch SUVs, Rolls-Royce, Maybach and party buses are priced for your exact date and address in the web booker.
What does a limousine service include?
A limousine booking includes the vehicle, a licensed and commercially insured chauffeur, taxes and standard gratuity, at a price fixed before the day. The chauffeur arrives early, handles doors and timing, waits between stops and follows local rules. Tolls and parking are billed at cost, and so is time beyond what you booked.
The chauffeur's job on a celebration day is timing and calm. On a wedding day that means arriving early enough to stage the car for photographs, keeping the schedule between the ceremony, the photo stop and the reception, and getting everyone back out at the end of the night. On a night out, it means being outside when you come out, not twenty minutes away.
The limousine fleet: which vehicle for which group
Choose by headcount first and luggage second. Celebration vehicles have generous seating and very little luggage space, which is why we do not recommend them for airport runs with suitcases.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Bags | Best for | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stretch Limousine | up to 8 | 2 | Weddings, proms, anniversaries, nights out | Web booker, by date and address |
| Stretch SUV Limousine | up to 16 | 2 | Big birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties | Web booker |
| Party Bus | up to 12 | 2 | Concerts, birthdays, group nights out | Web booker |
| Rolls-Royce | up to 2 | 2 | The bride, the couple, a VIP guest | Web booker |
| Mercedes-Maybach | up to 2 | 2 | The arrival that matters | Web booker |
| Jet Sprinter | up to 6 | 4 | Captain's chairs, VIP cabin for small groups | Web booker |
| Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | 12 | Wedding parties, guest shuttles, groups with bags | Fixed price list and web booker |
| First Class SUV | up to 6 | 6 | Escalade or Navigator for the family or the wedding party | Fixed price list and web booker |
Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer; for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley the limit is seven model years, because those cars are built and maintained to last. Availability of stretch vehicles and party buses varies by city and date, and the web booker shows only what can be confirmed. See the fleet page for photographs and interiors.
Limousine prices: what a night or a wedding costs
The most useful benchmark is the evening out and event night package on each city page, which bundles the hours most evenings need. These are published, all-in prices per vehicle.
| City | Business Sedan | First Class Sedan | First Class SUV | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| New York City | US$525 | US$850 | US$800 | US$1,050 |
| Los Angeles | US$525 | US$850 | US$800 | US$1,050 |
| Miami | US$500 | US$800 | US$750 | US$1,000 |
| Chicago | US$500 | US$800 | US$750 | US$1,000 |
| Las Vegas | US$475 | US$775 | US$725 | US$950 |
| Toronto | US$550 | US$900 | US$825 | US$1,100 |
| London | US$525 | US$850 | US$800 | US$1,050 |
For a wedding day or anything with an uncertain end, book by the hour instead: from US$85 to US$115 an hour in a business sedan and US$170 to US$230 an hour for an Executive Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum. Stretch limousines and party buses are quoted in the booker for the hours you need. The how much does a limo cost guide explains what moves the price, and black car vs limousine helps if you are deciding between the two.
Planning a limousine day: a short checklist
Most problems on celebration days come from missing information rather than from the car. Before the day, send the desk:
- Every address in order, including the photo stop, with a time for each. If the ceremony venue has a separate entrance for vehicles, say so.
- The headcount for each leg. Wedding parties often grow between the ceremony and the reception, and the vehicle has to match the biggest leg.
- A contact on the day who is not the bride, the groom or the birthday guest: a planner, a parent or a best friend, whose phone the chauffeur can call.
- The end of the night. "Until the reception ends" is not a time. Give a latest pickup and the drop-off addresses so the chauffeur's schedule and the booked hours match.
- Anything special. A dress with a long train needs a car with a wide door; a grandparent may need help in and out; a child may need a car seat.
Rolls-Royce and Maybach arrivals
A Rolls-Royce or a Mercedes-Maybach is chosen for one moment: the arrival. For weddings it is the bride's car; for galas and private events it carries the guest of honour. These cars seat two in comfort and are best used for a single, carefully timed journey, with the wedding party or guests following in a Sprinter or an SUV.
Because they are booked for photographs as much as transport, tell the desk the time you want the car in place, not just the departure time, so the chauffeur can stage it, clean it on site and open the door at the right moment. In Las Vegas, where weddings run on a tight chapel schedule, and in Lake Como or the Hamptons, where venues are spread out, the timing matters even more; Visit Las Vegas lists wedding venues and the city's show calendar.
Weddings
A wedding is the booking where timing matters most. A typical day has three movements: getting the couple and the wedding party to the ceremony, a photo stop, and the reception, with a late run home or to the hotel. Many couples use two vehicles: a Rolls-Royce or Maybach for the couple, and an Executive Sprinter or stretch SUV for the wedding party. Guests staying at one hotel can be shuttled in Sprinters so nobody drives.
Give the desk the full schedule, the addresses and any photo locations when you book. Chauffeurs arrive early to stage the car. The wedding limousine and wedding guest shuttles page covers the planning in detail.
Proms, graduations and birthdays
For proms and graduations, parents usually book and want to know three things: who the chauffeur is, where the car will be, and when the students will be home. The booking can carry a parent's phone number for updates and a fixed return time. The chauffeur follows local rules on alcohol and passenger conduct, which are strict for younger passengers. See prom and graduation limousines.
Birthdays and bachelor or bachelorette parties suit a stretch SUV or a party bus with driver: one vehicle, one schedule, everyone together. Plan the route with the desk, list the stops, and leave slack for the stop that runs long.
Nights out, concerts and shows
A limousine or a Sprinter makes the most sense for a night out when the group is large, the venue is hard to leave, or the evening has several stops. In Miami, a night that moves from dinner in Brickell to South Beach is easier with a waiting car; Miami and the Beaches lists the districts most visitors combine. In Los Angeles, the Hollywood Bowl sells Park & Ride and shuttle passes for show nights, which tells you how hard the hill is to reach by car; a chauffeur with a booked pickup point saves the walk to a distant lot. For arena and festival nights, see concert transportation.
Laws on alcohol in vehicles differ by city, state and country. The chauffeur follows local rules, and we do not book vehicles on the basis of drinking on board.
Limousine vs a taxi convoy, rideshare or driving
For a group of ten going to a wedding or a concert, the alternatives are three taxis, several rideshare cars or a designated driver. Splitting a group across cars means arriving at different times, losing people at pickup and paying peak pricing at the end of the night when a show lets out. A single Sprinter or stretch SUV keeps everyone together and the price is set before the evening starts. For two people going to dinner, a limousine is not necessary and a business sedan, or a taxi, is the sensible choice.
Booking a limousine in three steps
- Enter the first pickup address, the date and the time, and list the stops and the end point in the notes.
- Choose the vehicle: a fixed-price class from the city price list, or a stretch limousine, stretch SUV, party bus, Rolls-Royce or Maybach in the web booker.
- Press Reserve now on the price list, or complete the web booker. Confirmation arrives by email.
Cancellation terms are the same for every booking: free more than 72 hours before pickup; 10% within 72 hours; 50% within 48 hours; 100% within 24 hours or for a no-show. Refunds go back to the original card. For weddings, book early, because the cars that couples want are the first to go on Saturdays in season.
Who operates the cars
In Toronto and the GTA, limousine bookings run on the Elly8 fleet with Elly8 chauffeurs. In every other city, rides are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Wedding planners, event agencies and hotels can book on an account: see hotel accounts and corporate accounts.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a limousine service cost?
The evening out and event night package, a good benchmark, starts at US$425 in a business sedan in cities such as Barcelona and Prague; in Toronto it is US$550 in a business sedan and US$1,100 for an Executive Sprinter, and in New York US$525 to US$1,050. Stretch limousines, stretch SUVs, party buses, Rolls-Royce and Maybach are priced for your date in the web booker. Prices include chauffeur, vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity.
How many people fit in a stretch limousine?
A stretch limousine seats up to 8 passengers, a stretch SUV up to 16 and a party bus up to 12, but all three have space for only about two bags. For a group with luggage, an Executive Sprinter, which carries up to 12 passengers and 12 bags, is the better choice.
Is there a minimum booking time?
Hourly bookings on the price list have a 3-hour minimum. Celebration vehicles are quoted in the web booker for the hours you request. For weddings, book the full span from first pickup to the last drop-off with some slack, because ceremonies and photographs rarely run exactly to schedule.
Can we drink in the limousine?
Laws on alcohol in vehicles differ by city, state and country, and the chauffeur follows local rules. Ask the desk about the rules where you are booking. Rules are especially strict for proms, graduations and passengers under the legal drinking age.
Can the limousine take us to the airport?
It can, but it is rarely the right vehicle. Stretch limousines and party buses hold only about two bags. For airport runs, book a sedan, an SUV or an Executive Sprinter from the airport transfer price list, which includes meet and greet and flight tracking.
How far ahead should a wedding limousine be booked?
As soon as the date and venues are fixed. Saturday afternoons in wedding season are the busiest times of the year for celebration vehicles, and Rolls-Royce and Maybach cars are limited in every city. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup, so an early booking carries little risk.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free more than 72 hours before pickup; 10% within 72 hours; 50% within 48 hours; 100% within 24 hours or for a no-show. Refunds go back to the original card.
