A Frankfurt car service booked through Elly8.net is a private chauffeur at a fixed, all-in price agreed before you fly, charged to your card in US dollars. Frankfurt Airport (FRA) to the banking district costs from US$130 in a business sedan to US$340 in an Executive Sprinter, and the chauffeur tracks your flight and meets you at the right terminal with your name.
Rides in Frankfurt are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Below: FRA's terminals now that Terminal 3 is open, the financial district and the Messe, the fairs that fill every hotel in the Rhine-Main area, the Rhine Valley day trip, and a fair comparison with the S-Bahn, the taxi rank and rideshare.
How much is a car from Frankfurt Airport to the city centre?
A fixed Elly8.net transfer from Frankfurt Airport (FRA) to the banking district costs from US$130 in a business sedan, US$170 in a business SUV, US$230 in a First Class Sedan and US$340 in an Executive Sprinter. Prices are per vehicle and include the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Tolls and parking are billed at cost.
The banking district is the reference point, but the same fares serve central Frankfurt addresses from the Westend and the Messe to Sachsenhausen and the old town around the Römerberg. A round trip from FRA costs from US$250 in a business sedan, US$325 in a business SUV and US$650 in a Sprinter.
FRA is about 20 km (13 mi) south-west of the banking district, roughly 24 minutes on a clear road. The motorway junctions around the airport are among the busiest in Germany, and the A5 and A3 back up at rush hour and on fair days. The fare is fixed regardless.
Frankfurt Airport: Terminal 1, Terminal 3 and where you are met
| Trip | Distance | Clear-road drive | Business Sedan | Business SUV | First Class Sedan | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| FRA to the banking district | 20 km / 13 mi | about 24 min | US$130 | US$170 | US$230 | US$340 |
| FRA round trip | 20 km / 13 mi each way | about 24 min each way | US$250 | US$325 | US$440 | US$650 |
| By the hour, as directed | 3-hour minimum | - | US$85/hr | US$110/hr | US$140/hr | US$170/hr |
The terminal map at FRA has changed. According to Frankfurt Airport, Terminal 3 has begun operations with gates G, H and J, and all airlines that used to operate from Terminal 2 are now in Terminal 3. Terminal 3 is directly connected to the A5 motorway and has its own drop-off zone, and the free SkyLine train links it with Terminal 1 every two to three minutes from 4:00 to 23:00. Terminal 1, with its areas A, B and C, continues to operate alongside it.
That is why your flight number matters. The chauffeur checks which terminal your airline uses, tracks the landing and waits in the right arrivals hall with a name board after you have cleared passport control and collected your bags. Waiting after a tracked landing is complimentary, which covers long walks and immigration queues after the morning transatlantic arrivals. If you are flying out, tell us the airline and we drop you at the correct terminal; it is not a short walk between them. See airport transfers and meet and greet.
FRA also has a long-distance railway station for ICE trains, about five minutes' walk from Terminal 1. If you are taking the train on to Cologne or another city and want help with bags between the hall and the platform, book a train station transfer or simply ask the desk.
S-Bahn, taxi, rideshare or a pre-booked chauffeur
The cheapest way into the city is the S-Bahn. Frankfurt Airport's rail guide explains that the regional station sits on the lower level of Terminal 1 and is served by S-Bahn lines S8 and S9 and regional trains towards Frankfurt, Mainz and Wiesbaden; from Terminal 3 you first take the SkyLine, which the airport puts at about 10 to 15 minutes. Taxis wait at the ranks outside arrivals and charge by the meter.
| Option | Price | Time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| S-Bahn S8 or S9 to the city | Regional transport fare per person | Train time plus the SkyLine from Terminal 3 | Solo travellers with light bags, staying near a station |
| Taxi from the rank | Metered fare | Same roads as any car | Spontaneous trips with no booking |
| Rideshare | Varies with demand | Pickup where the airport allows it | Light travellers comfortable with apps |
| Elly8.net business sedan | US$130 fixed, per vehicle | Door to door, about 24 min clear road | Executives, families, groups, fixed budgets |
| Elly8.net Executive Sprinter | US$340 fixed, per vehicle | Door to door | Deal teams, fair delegations, families of seven |
Be fair about it: a single traveller with a carry-on, landing in Terminal 1 and staying near Hauptbahnhof or the banking district, is well served by the S-Bahn. Arriving in Terminal 3 adds the SkyLine leg before you even reach the train. A metered taxi is reliable but the total is not fixed, and on Messe days the queues are long.
A pre-booked chauffeur wins when time and certainty matter: a board meeting an hour after landing, a team of five with luggage and a printed agenda, children who need seats, or a fair week when every taxi in the city is busy. The banking district, the Westend and the green-sticker zone
The banking district. The towers around the Taunusanlage, Neue Mainzer Strasse and the Opernplatz hold the headquarters of Germany's largest banks and many international ones. This is where most corporate travel starts and ends.
Westend and the Messe. North-west of the towers, the Westend is the quiet residential and office quarter; beyond it, the Messe and its hotels.
The old town and Sachsenhausen. The rebuilt old town around the Römerberg, covered by Frankfurt Tourism, and the apple-wine taverns of Sachsenhausen across the Main.
The green-sticker zone. Frankfurt has an environmental zone (Umweltzone) in which, according to the city of Frankfurt, only vehicles with a green emissions sticker have been allowed since 1 January 2012, with an €80 fine for driving without one. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer and carry the right sticker; if you are weighing a rental car, it is one more detail to check.
Messe Frankfurt and the fairs that fill the city
Messe Frankfurt, at Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage 1, is one of the world's largest trade fair grounds, about 2.5 km (1.6 mi) from the banking district and an easy run from the airport. On big fair days the Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage and the surrounding streets are congested at opening and closing, and hotels across the Rhine-Main region sell out. These are the dates published by organisers for the next editions after October 2026:
- Ambiente, 29 January to 2 February 2027. The consumer goods fair, per Ambiente. Buyers stay across the region, so daily cars from outlying hotels are common.
- ISH, 15 to 19 March 2027. The leading fair for HVAC and bathrooms, according to ISH.
- IMEX Frankfurt, 11 to 13 May 2027. The meetings and incentives show, with a specialist education day on 10 May, per IMEX.
- Frankfurter Buchmesse, 6 to 10 October 2027. The book fair, according to Frankfurter Buchmesse, with trade days followed by the public weekend.
A note on the motor show: the IAA car show no longer takes place in Frankfurt. Its passenger-car successor, IAA Mobility, runs in Munich from 7 to 12 September 2027, per IAA Mobility. If that is your trip, see our Munich car service.
For exhibitors and delegations, an Executive Sprinter from US$340 for the airport run and hourly cars from US$85 an hour (3-hour minimum) keep a team moving between the halls, client dinners and the hotel. See conference and trade show transportation.
Eintracht Frankfurt play at Deutsche Bank Park, the stadium in the city forest south-west of the centre, towards the airport. Match nights and concerts there fill the roads in that direction; the evening out and event night package costs from US$425 in a business sedan to US$850 in a Sprinter. See sports event transportation.
The Rhine Valley day trip
The signature Frankfurt package is an 8-hour day in the Rhine Valley and Rüdesheim, the wine town on the river about 63 km (39 mi) west of the banking district by road. It costs from US$630 in a business sedan, US$810 in a business SUV, US$1,035 in a First Class Sedan, US$960 in a First Class SUV and US$1,255 in an Executive Sprinter, all-in. A typical day drives out through the Rheingau vineyards, spends the late morning in Rüdesheim, and continues along the river for castle views and a Riesling tasting before the drive home. Rüdesheim lists its sights and wine estates. The chauffeur drives so everyone else can enjoy the tastings, and follows local rules in the vehicle itself. See wine tours.
Heidelberg works as a full day on the same rate, from US$630 in a business sedan to US$1,255 in a Sprinter. In the city, the private city highlights tour costs from US$340 to US$680 and covers the Römerberg, the cathedral, the Museum Embankment and the skyline viewpoints. See private city tours.
Corporate travel and roadshows
Frankfurt is continental Europe's banking capital and the desk is built around its rhythm: early arrivals, back-to-back meetings in the towers, a dinner in the Westend and a late flight out. The corporate roadshow day costs from US$765 in a business sedan to US$1,530 in a Sprinter, with the car held between meetings all day. A corporate account adds fixed FRA fares, monthly invoicing and NDAs on request, with the same terms in London, Zurich and New York. Read more on corporate car service and investor roadshows.
Weddings in the city and the Rheingau usually pair a First Class Sedan for the couple with an Executive Sprinter with driver for guests; see wedding transportation. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley; the fleet page shows seats and luggage by class. Travel agents and hotels can book on account through travel agent accounts and hotel accounts.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a car from Frankfurt Airport to the banking district?
A fixed Elly8.net transfer from FRA to the banking district costs from US$130 in a business sedan, US$170 in a business SUV, US$210 in a First Class SUV, US$230 in a First Class Sedan and US$340 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. It includes the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Tolls and parking are billed at cost.
Which FRA terminal does my flight use?
It depends on your airline. Frankfurt Airport says all airlines that used Terminal 2 now operate from the new Terminal 3, while other airlines use Terminal 1. Give us your flight number and the chauffeur waits in the right arrivals hall with a name board.
Is the S-Bahn quicker than a car?
The S-Bahn lines S8 and S9 leave from the regional station under Terminal 1, and are the cheapest option for one traveller with a light bag. From Terminal 3 you first ride the SkyLine for about 10 to 15 minutes. For groups, luggage or a fixed schedule, a US$130 car door to door is simpler.
Do you serve Messe Frankfurt during big fairs?
Yes, and fair weeks are when booking ahead matters most. The Messe is about 2.5 km (1.6 mi) from the banking district. Hourly cars from US$85 an hour (3-hour minimum) and Executive Sprinters for teams keep exhibitors and buyers on schedule; book as soon as your fair dates are fixed.
Are child seats available?
Yes. Ask for child or booster seats when you book and give the children's ages, and the partner fits them before pickup. A Business SUV or Executive Sprinter fits seats, a stroller and luggage in one vehicle.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation more than 72 hours before pickup. At 72 hours or less a 10% fee applies, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. Refunds return to the original card.
How long is the Rhine Valley day trip?
The package is an 8-hour day and costs from US$630 in a business sedan to US$1,255 in an Executive Sprinter. Rüdesheim is about 63 km (39 mi) from the banking district by road; the day usually combines the town, a wine tasting and the river views.
Do you offer corporate accounts in Frankfurt?
Yes. Corporate accounts include fixed FRA fares, roadshow days, monthly invoicing and NDAs on request. The same account books Munich, Zurich, London and our North American cities, so a travelling team keeps one set of terms.
