Ambiente 2027 opens at Messe Frankfurt on Friday 29 January and runs to Tuesday 2 February 2027, alongside Christmasworld on the same dates and Creativeworld from 29 January to 1 February, according to the organiser's Ambiente 2026 final report. The Compass Talks open the week on 28 January. Together the three fairs make up one of the largest consumer-goods events in the world, and for five days buyers fill hotels across Frankfurt and the wider Rhine-Main region.

How do you get to Ambiente from Frankfurt Airport?
Messe Frankfurt is about 14 km (9 mi) from FRA by road, roughly 15 minutes on a clear road, and about 2.5 km (1.6 mi) from the banking district. The organiser's arrival page sets out how the grounds work. Coming from the airport by road, cars can drop at three entrances: City/Festhalle, Galleria and Portalhaus. From the city, taxis also serve the Europa-Allee entrance and the Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage (LEA)/Congress Center entrance. Visitors staying in hotels south of the grounds are pointed to the Europa-Allee entrance.
The same page warns that construction works around Güterplatz and Europa-Allee have led to road closures and detours in central Frankfurt, and advises visitors arriving via the South Gate or East Gate to check the latest traffic situation. The scale of the week
Ambiente describes itself as the leading international consumer goods trade fair, with product areas for dining, living and giving and specialised exhibitors across six hall levels. In 2026 the three fairs together counted 4,636 exhibitors and participants from 170 countries and around 140,000 visitors, according to the final report; the FKM-verified figures for 2025 were 4,689 exhibitors and 147,684 visitors, of whom 100,808 came from outside Germany. The report also notes that between just under 60 and over 80 per cent of visitors to one fair also visited the other two.
The fairs are trade-only: buyers from every kind of retail outlet, commercial buyers from industry and hospitality, service providers, architects, interior designers and project planners. Many come with colleagues and an appointment schedule that runs from opening to close, then continues over dinner. That is the kind of week where a car on standby pays for itself.
Opening hours and when the roads fill
According to the organiser's visitor information, Ambiente 2027 is open from Friday to Monday, 29 January to 1 February, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Tuesday 2 February from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Exhibitor tickets give access an hour before visitors.
Those hours set the traffic pattern. The Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage, the Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage and the streets around the Messeturm are busiest from about 8 a.m. to opening, and again from late afternoon. Buyers staying outside the city, in Wiesbaden, Mainz, Offenbach, Bad Homburg or around the airport, join the motorway traffic on the A5, A3 and A648 at the same time. The arrival: Frankfurt Airport
FRA now operates Terminal 1 and the new Terminal 3. According to Frankfurt Airport, all airlines that used Terminal 2 now operate from Terminal 3, which has gates G, H and J, its own drop-off zone and the free SkyLine train link to Terminal 1. The plan for Ambiente week
Arrival and build-up. Exhibitors arrive before opening day with stand teams and sample cases. A business SUV takes two travellers and their luggage; an Executive Sprinter with driver moves a team and its kit in one vehicle. Tell the desk what you are carrying so we send the right car.
Fair days: hotel drop-off, then a car on standby. Book car service by the hour, as directed, with a 3-hour minimum: US$85 an hour in a business sedan, US$110 in a business SUV, US$130 in a First Class SUV, US$140 in a First Class Sedan and US$170 in an Executive Sprinter. The car sets you down at your entrance in the morning and is ready for lunch with a supplier, a showroom visit in the city or the run back at closing. For a full day, the 8-hour chauffeur is fixed from US$630 in a business sedan to US$1,255 in a Sprinter.
Buyers based outside the city. Departure day. The organiser notes a Lufthansa luggage service at the City entrance near Hall 1: passengers on Lufthansa Group flights can check bags there at least three hours before departure on the day they fly. If you use it, book a light car to the airport after the halls; if not, the chauffeur collects you and your cases at the hotel or the entrance.

Prices on the Frankfurt price list do not change for Ambiente. They are per vehicle, fixed and all-in, and include the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet; tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost.

Honest alternatives
Messe Frankfurt is well served by public transport, and the organiser makes it attractive: all paid admission tickets include free travel to and from the fair on the Rhein-Main transport network (RMV) within the entire fare zone, presented with ID for online tickets. From the airport, S-Bahn lines S8 and S9 run to Frankfurt Central Station, where S3, S4, S5 or S6 continue to "Frankfurt Messe" for the Torhaus entrance; U-Bahn line U4 and trams 16 and 17 serve Festhalle/Messe. Drivers can use the Rebstock multi-storey car park with the organiser's shuttle, and taxis serve all the main entrances. A metered taxi is fine for a single short trip outside the opening and closing peaks.
A chauffeur wins on the days the fair creates pressure: four buyers arriving together, a hotel 40 km away, sample cases, a supplier lunch across the city at 12:30 and back by 14:00, or a late flight on Tuesday after the 5 p.m. close.
