A Kingston limo or car service through Elly8.net costs US$95 in a business sedan from Kingston Norman Rogers Airport (YGK) to downtown, US$565 from Toronto Pearson, and US$610 for a six-hour chauffeured day in the Thousand Islands. Every price is fixed, all-in and per vehicle, and your card is charged in US dollars. Kingston is the halfway city of the Toronto-Montreal corridor, so a lot of what we book here is long: Pearson is about 278 km (173 mi) away, roughly three hours and 20 minutes on a clear Highway 401.
Rides in Kingston are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. That desk books Queen's University families on move-in day, visiting faculty and defence-sector guests, wedding parties heading for the waterfront, and visitors who want the St. Lawrence and its islands without driving a rental car.
How much does a car service from Toronto to Kingston cost?
From Toronto Pearson to downtown Kingston, a Business Sedan is US$565, a Business SUV US$735, a First Class Sedan US$990 and an Executive Sprinter US$1,470, fixed and all-in. From YGK, downtown is US$95 in a sedan. Prices include chauffeur, vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet.
"Toronto to Kingston" is one of the most searched trips in eastern Ontario, and the reason is obvious when you land at Pearson with two suitcases and a family. The prices below are per vehicle, so a Business SUV at US$735 shared by four people is about US$185 each, door to door, with the luggage loaded once. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost; there are no tolls on the 401.

Toronto Pearson to Kingston
The Pearson run is about 201 minutes on a clear road, east on Highway 401 past Oshawa, Port Hope, Cobourg, Belleville and Napanee. In practice the variables are the Toronto end, where the 401 can stall at almost any hour, and winter weather along Lake Ontario. Plan on three and a half to four hours on a weekday afternoon. Your chauffeur builds in a rest stop on request, and the price stays the same however long the 401 takes.
Your chauffeur meets you inside arrivals at Pearson Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 with a name board, after baggage and customs. The flight is tracked, so an early arrival from London Heathrow or a delayed connection from Chicago moves the pickup with it, and there is complimentary waiting after a tracked landing. For departures, we work back from your flight time and the season and suggest a pickup with margin; on a long run, that margin is the whole point of booking ahead. See our airport transfers and city to city car service pages for how long-distance runs work.
Kingston Norman Rogers Airport (YGK)
YGK sits west of the city, about 11 km (7 mi) and 16 minutes from downtown on a clear road. Its scheduled link to Toronto changed recently: Visit Kingston reports that Air Canada's partnership with Landline connects Pearson and YGK, expanding to four non-stop round trips a day from 1 May 2026. Landline is a ticketed coach connection rather than a flight, so check your booking.
Private and charter aircraft also use YGK. For a business aircraft or a charter arrival, add the operator and tail number when you book and the chauffeur will meet you at the right door; see private jet and FBO car service. A YGK pickup to downtown is US$95 in a sedan and US$250 in an Executive Sprinter.
Train, bus, taxi or chauffeur: the honest comparison
Kingston has real public alternatives, and for some people they are better.
VIA Rail. Visit Kingston notes multiple daily VIA Rail departures and arrivals from Kingston station, with connections to Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. For a solo traveller between downtown Toronto and Kingston with a carry-on, the train is comfortable and lets you work. It is less convenient from Pearson, because you first have to reach Union Station.
Intercity coach. Several coach operators serve Kingston from Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, according to Visit Kingston, and Air Canada's Landline links Pearson to YGK.
Kingston Transit. Inside the city, Kingston Transit charges an adult cash fare of CA$3.50, in coins only, with no change given.
Taxi and rideshare. Metered taxis and app-based rideshare cover local trips. For a short hop from the station or YGK, they are quick and economical; late at night and in bad weather, waits grow.
| Getting to downtown Kingston | Price | Time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| VIA Rail from downtown Toronto | rail fare, varies by date | plus the trip to Union Station | Solo, light bag, laptop work |
| Air Canada Landline, Pearson to YGK | ticketed with your flight | coach, scheduled departures | Connecting passengers on Air Canada |
| Kingston Transit | CA$3.50 cash, coins only | local routes | Short local trips |
| Taxi or rideshare from YGK | meter or dynamic price | about 16 min clear road | Short-notice local trips |
| Elly8.net from YGK | from US$95 fixed | about 16 min clear road | Late arrivals, groups |
| Elly8.net from Pearson | from US$565 fixed | about 201 min clear road | Families, luggage, door to door |
Our view: one traveller leaving from downtown Toronto should look hard at VIA Rail. A pre-booked chauffeur wins when you land at Pearson with a family and luggage, when a student is moving in with a car-load of belongings, when children need seats, or when you have a meeting at the end and want to arrive without changing trains. Queen's University, RMC and corporate travel
Queen's University defines Kingston's calendar: move-in in late summer, homecoming in the fall, convocation in spring and a steady flow of visiting faculty, examiners and recruiters. Move-in weekend fills hotels and roads at once, so families who travel together book Executive Sprinters early.
The Royal Military College of Canada and the defence and government presence around the city bring official visitors, while the hospitals, research groups and companies on the 401 corridor add business travel. For a day of meetings, the corporate roadshow day from US$990 in a sedan keeps one chauffeur with you, and an hourly chauffeur from US$110 an hour with a 3-hour minimum suits shorter programmes. Organisations with regular visitors open a corporate account for monthly invoicing; see corporate car service. NDAs are available on request.
The Thousand Islands day trip
The signature Kingston trip is east along the St. Lawrence to the Thousand Islands, where granite islands fill the river between Kingston and Brockville. Our six-hour package, from US$610 in a Business Sedan to US$1,215 in an Executive Sprinter, puts a chauffeur at your disposal for the day: a scenic drive along the river, a stop in Gananoque, about 30 km east, for a boat cruise among the islands, lunch on the waterfront and the drive home at your pace.
Parks Canada's Thousand Islands National Park protects part of the archipelago; the agency notes that island access is by boat only and that the park is temporarily closed, reopening in May 2027, so check before planning a park visit. The cruises from the mainland towns are a summer and early-autumn activity, and the drive along the river is worth it in any season. Our private city tours page explains how a day with a chauffeur works.
Closer to town, Fort Henry, run by the St. Lawrence Parks Commission, overlooks the harbour; its Fort Fright evenings ran on select nights from 2 to 31 October 2026. The private city highlights tour (from US$440) takes in the fort, the limestone downtown, the waterfront and the Queen's campus.
Downtown Kingston and the waterfront
Kingston's downtown is compact and walkable, built in limestone around Princess Street, Market Square and City Hall, with the harbour and the waterfront hotels a block or two away. Most visitors stay downtown or near the waterfront, which puts restaurants, the arena and the Queen's campus within a short walk, and makes the chauffeur most useful at the edges of the trip: the airport or Pearson run, the evening at Fort Henry across the causeway, and the day on the river.
From Highway 401, the Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard exit (number 615) leads about 6 km (4 mi) south to downtown, according to Visit Kingston. On the return to Pearson, a downtown or waterfront pickup gives the chauffeur a direct line to the 401, and we plan the time around the Toronto end of the drive rather than the Kingston end. Hotels west of the city near the airport suit an early YGK departure.
Slush Puppie Place and event nights
Kingston's downtown arena, Slush Puppie Place at 1 The Tragically Hip Way, the former Leon's Centre, is home to the OHL's Kingston Frontenacs and books curling, comedy and touring shows. Coming dates include a Grand Slam of Curling Players' Cup draw on 15 December 2026, the Harlem Globetrotters on 2 February 2027 and Riverdance 30 on 3 February 2027. The evening out and event night package runs from US$550; see event transportation and sports event transportation.
Weddings and nights out
Kingston's limestone churches, waterfront hotels and wineries in nearby Prince Edward County make it a wedding destination. We book a First Class Sedan for the couple, a Sprinter for the wedding party and runs from Pearson or YGK for guests; see wedding limousine service. Graduations book prom limousines. The chauffeur follows Ontario rules, which means no alcohol in the vehicle.
Nearby Elly8.net cities
Kingston links east and west. Ottawa is north-east via Highway 15 or the 401 and 416, Toronto is west, and Mont-Tremblant is the ski destination beyond Montreal. For a cottage weekend, Muskoka is reached through Toronto, and Niagara Falls and Buffalo are the run around the western end of the lake. One-way trips between cities are priced in the web booker.
