An Edmonton limo service booked through Elly8.net is a private chauffeur and vehicle at a fixed, all-in price, quoted and charged in US dollars before you travel. The run that matters most is the one people underestimate: Edmonton International Airport (YEG) sits about 32 km (20 mi) south of downtown, and a YEG to downtown transfer costs from US$155 in a business sedan to US$405 in an Executive Sprinter, with the chauffeur inside arrivals and your flight tracked.
Rides in Edmonton are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. This page covers YEG in detail, the downtown and university districts, Rogers Place and the convention centre, winter driving, an honest comparison with the airport taxi, rideshare and the 747 bus, and the day trips Edmontonians actually take.
How much is a limo service from Edmonton airport to downtown?
A fixed Elly8.net transfer from YEG to downtown Edmonton costs from US$155 in a business sedan, US$205 in a business SUV, US$250 in a First Class SUV, US$275 in a First Class Sedan and US$405 in an Executive Sprinter. The price is per vehicle and includes the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet.
All Elly8.net prices are in US dollars. A round trip from YEG to downtown and back costs from US$295 in a business sedan, US$390 in a business SUV and US$770 in an Executive Sprinter, which suits a three-day convention or a short business trip with a fixed departure.
The clear-road drive is about 35 minutes. The route runs north on the Queen Elizabeth II Highway and Gateway Boulevard, then through the south side and across the North Saskatchewan River into downtown. Weekday rush hours on Gateway Boulevard and Calgary Trail, a snowfall, or a game night downtown can add 15 to 30 minutes. The fare is fixed, so traffic changes your pickup time, not your price.
YEG is 32 km from downtown: plan around the distance
Many travellers arriving from the United States assume Edmonton's airport is close to the city, as Saskatoon's and Regina's are. It is not. YEG is in Leduc County, south of the city limits, and the trip downtown is longer than most visitors expect. That distance is the main reason a pre-booked car makes more sense here than in most Canadian cities of this size.
Arrivals. YEG has one terminal building for domestic, international and US flights. Your chauffeur tracks the flight number on your booking and waits in the arrivals area with a name board once you have collected your bags. Waiting is complimentary after a tracked landing, so a late flight from Toronto or a slow bag belt costs nothing extra. For reference, the airport's own ground transportation page shows the taxi and limo curb at Door 9 and rideshare pickup outside Door 10 on the Arrivals level. Our airport meet and greet page explains how the meeting works.
Departures to the United States. YEG is one of the Canadian airports with US Customs preclearance, listed by US Customs and Border Protection. You clear US immigration in Edmonton, which saves time on arrival in the US but adds a queue before departure. For a morning flight to Denver, Chicago or Houston we usually suggest a downtown pickup at least three hours before departure, more in winter.
Leduc and Nisku. Many energy-sector visitors are not going downtown at all. The industrial parks of Nisku and the city of Leduc sit right beside the airport, and the web booker quotes those addresses directly. For a full day of site visits, book Edmonton car service by the hour: from US$110 an hour in a business sedan to US$220 in a Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum.
Private aviation. Give us the handler's name and the tail number and the chauffeur meets you at the FBO door instead of the main terminal; see private jet and FBO transfers.
Edmonton airport taxi, rideshare, the 747 bus or Elly8.net
Edmonton has real alternatives, and for some trips they are the right call. These are the official numbers.
| Option | Price YEG to downtown | Time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| ETS Route 747 bus + LRT | C$6 on the 747, then transfer at Century Park | about 24 min on the bus to Century Park, then the LRT north | One traveller, light bag, daytime, budget first |
| Airport taxi | C$62 flat rate to downtown, published by YEG | about 35 min or more | Walk-up trips, no booking |
| Airport limo at the rank | C$71 flat rate to downtown, published by YEG | about 35 min or more | Walk-up, a little more room |
| Rideshare (Uber, Lyft) | Varies with demand | Pickup outside Door 10 | Light travellers comfortable with app pickups |
| Elly8.net business sedan | US$155 fixed, per vehicle | Door to door, met inside | Late flights, families, groups, meetings, a fixed budget in US$ |
The ETS Route 747 is Edmonton Transit's express bus between the airport and Century Park Transit Centre. The City of Edmonton lists a C$6 fare and a ride of about 24 minutes, running from early morning until after midnight at 30 to 60 minute intervals. It does not go downtown: you change to the LRT at Century Park and ride north. For a solo traveller with a carry-on and time to spare, it is genuinely the cheapest way in.
The airport also publishes a C$62 flat taxi fare and a C$71 flat limo fare to downtown, which is a fair price for one or two people who are happy to queue at Door 9. Rideshare works too, with the pickup outside Door 10, though the price moves with demand when several flights land together.
A pre-booked chauffeur earns its fixed price in the situations a curb queue cannot solve: a family with car seats on a winter evening, four colleagues and their bags who would otherwise need two cabs, a 6am departure for a preclearance flight, an executive who needs the car to wait outside a meeting, or a travel manager who wants every trip billed in US dollars on one invoice. Downtown, the ICE District and the south side
Downtown and the ICE District. The prices on this page are calculated to downtown Edmonton, the grid of office towers, government buildings and hotels between Jasper Avenue and the river valley. The ICE District around Rogers Place has added hotels, offices and restaurants on the north edge of downtown. Downtown pickups are simple most days; on game nights, the streets around the arena are not, and we stage pickups a block or two away.
The Alberta Legislature and government precinct. Ministry meetings and delegations cluster around the Legislature grounds on the south edge of downtown. For protocol-sensitive visits, see government and diplomatic transportation.
Old Strathcona and the University of Alberta. Across the river, Whyte Avenue is Edmonton's evening district, and the University of Alberta campus brings visiting faculty, conference delegates and graduation-week families. The web booker confirms any south-side address in seconds.
West Edmonton Mall. West Edmonton Mall is about 12 km (7 mi) west of downtown, roughly 20 minutes on a clear road, with an indoor waterpark, a skating rink and hotels inside. Shoppers with bags and families with wet towels are exactly the trips where a car that waits at the right entrance beats hunting for a ride home. A private city highlights tour that takes in the mall, the river valley and Old Strathcona costs from US$440 in a business sedan to US$880 in a Sprinter.
Rogers Place, the convention centre and Edmonton's event calendar
Rogers Place. Rogers Place is home to the Edmonton Oilers and the city's main arena for concerts, with about 18,500 seats. On a playoff night or a sold-out show, the surrounding streets fill and the crowd leaves all at once. Our chauffeurs drop you close to your entrance and collect you from an agreed corner away from the main exits. The evening out and event night package costs from US$550 in a business sedan to US$1,100 in a Sprinter; details on sports event transportation and concert transportation.
Commonwealth Stadium. The Edmonton Elks play CFL football at Commonwealth Stadium, northeast of downtown, and the stadium hosts the city's biggest summer concerts. Exit traffic is slow; a Sprinter for a group of friends or clients keeps everyone together and avoids the walk to remote parking.
The Edmonton Convention Centre. The Edmonton Convention Centre is built into the river valley bank below Jasper Avenue, steps from the downtown hotels. For multi-day conferences, a conference transportation booking covers delegate shuttles from YEG in Executive Sprinters, or a single executive car on call for the week. The Edmonton EXPO Centre, northeast of downtown, hosts trade shows and large exhibitions.
Summer festivals. Edmonton's festival season is the busiest time of year for cars: K-Days in late July, then the Edmonton Folk Music Festival and the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival in August, with the Fringe centred on Old Strathcona. The organisers set the dates each year, so book as soon as yours are confirmed. Explore Edmonton publishes the official city calendar, and our event transportation page covers gala dinners and private events.
Winter in Edmonton
Edmonton winters are long and cold, and they shape how we plan. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, and the chauffeur's job in January is as much about a warm car at the door as it is about the drive. On an early-morning airport run after overnight snow, we allow extra time on the Queen Elizabeth II Highway and confirm the pickup with you the evening before. If your inbound flight is delayed by weather elsewhere, flight tracking moves the pickup automatically; if it is cancelled, message the 24/7 desk and we rebook the transfer.
Day trips: Elk Island, Jasper and Calgary
Elk Island National Park. About 50 km (32 mi) east of downtown, Elk Island National Park is the easy half-day: bison herds, lakes and walking trails less than an hour from the city. Book it as an hourly chauffeur so the car waits while you walk.
Jasper. "Edmonton to Jasper" is one of the most searched trips from this city, and it is a big one: about 366 km (227 mi) to Jasper National Park, close to five hours on a clear road along the Yellowhead Highway. That is a one-way city to city car service trip or a two-day plan, not a casual day out. The web booker quotes it, and a full-day chauffeur is from US$810 in a business sedan to US$1,620 in a Sprinter.
Calgary and the Rockies. Calgary is about 300 km (186 mi) south, roughly three and a half hours on the QEII. If your trip continues there, the same fixed-price service runs as our Calgary car service, with Banff chauffeur transfers into the mountains.
Corporate travel and roadshows
Edmonton is Alberta's capital and a centre for energy, construction, health research and the public sector, and much of the travel we book here is business travel. Companies with people in Edmonton every month can open a corporate account with monthly invoicing, fixed US-dollar fares and NDAs on request. Travel managers book corporate car service here and across our 141 cities through one desk.
The corporate roadshow day package - a chauffeur and car for a full day of meetings downtown, at the Legislature and out to Nisku - costs from US$990 in a business sedan to US$1,980 in a Sprinter for a deal team. See investor roadshows and multi-meeting days. Travel agents and hotels have their own travel agent and hotel accounts.
Weddings, proms and nights out
Limo buses and party buses are among the most requested group vehicles in Edmonton, for graduations, stagettes and birthday nights on Whyte Avenue. For a group, an Executive Sprinter with driver is the practical choice, priced as one vehicle; larger groups can ask about party bus rental through the web booker. For weddings in the river valley and at venues around the city, a First Class Sedan for the couple and a Sprinter for the wedding party is a common pairing; see wedding limousine and guest shuttles and prom and graduation limousines. Chauffeurs follow Alberta's rules on alcohol in vehicles. The fleet page shows what each vehicle seats and carries.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a limo from Edmonton airport to downtown?
A fixed Elly8.net YEG to downtown Edmonton transfer costs from US$155 in a business sedan, US$205 in a business SUV and US$405 in an Executive Sprinter. The price is per vehicle and includes the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. All prices are in US dollars; parking and any waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost.
How far is Edmonton airport from downtown?
About 32 km (20 mi), roughly 35 minutes on a clear road via the Queen Elizabeth II Highway and Gateway Boulevard. At weekday rush hour, in snow or on a game night downtown, allow 15 to 30 minutes more. For US flights, remember preclearance at YEG and plan a downtown pickup at least three hours before departure.
Where will my chauffeur meet me at YEG?
In the arrivals area, holding a name board, after you collect your bags. The chauffeur tracks the flight number on your booking, so an early or late landing is handled automatically, and waiting is complimentary after a tracked landing. The chauffeur's contact details arrive before pickup, so you can message them as soon as you land.
Is the 747 bus or a taxi cheaper than a car?
For one person, yes. The ETS Route 747 costs C$6 to Century Park, where you change to the LRT, and the airport taxi flat rate to downtown is C$62. For a family, a group with bags, a late arrival or a business traveller who needs the car to wait, a fixed US$155 sedan, or a US$405 Sprinter for a whole group, is often the simpler choice.
Do you provide child seats in Edmonton?
Yes. Request child or booster seats when you book and give the children's ages, and the partner fits them before pickup. In winter that means the family goes straight from arrivals into a warm, ready car instead of fitting seats in a parkade.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup. At 72 hours or less the charge is 10%, at 48 hours or less 50%, and at 24 hours or less or for a no-show 100%. Refunds go back to the original card. If your flight is cancelled, message the 24/7 desk and we move the booking.
Can you handle a group for an Oilers game or a convention?
Yes. An Executive Sprinter carries a group and their bags as a single vehicle, from US$405 on the YEG transfer and from US$1,100 for an evening out and event night. For conventions, we can run repeated airport shuttles and keep a car on call for speakers or executives through the week.
Can my company open an account?
Yes. Corporate accounts get monthly invoicing, fixed US-dollar fares, a single desk for every city we serve and NDAs on request. Travel agents and hotels have their own accounts. Apply on the corporate accounts page and the desk sets up your travellers and billing details.
