A production day is a timetable with no slack. The lead's pickup is at 5:10 a.m. because hair and make-up starts at 5:45; the crew van has to reach a location before the light changes; the director's car must be at the airport when a reshoot flight lands. When a car is late, a whole unit waits. Elly8.net books chauffeured transport for film, television, commercial, music video and photo productions in our 141 cities across the USA, Canada and Europe, planned against the call sheet and invoiced to the production.
We move people, not equipment. Talent cars, crew Sprinters, executive producers, visiting financiers, airport arrivals and the premiere night are our work. Picture cars, camera cars, trucks and precision driving are specialist jobs for the production's own transport department and vendors, and we say so plainly. Every price is fixed and all-in: chauffeur, vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity.
How much does production transportation cost?
Elly8.net prices production work by the hour or by the day. A chauffeured car is US$105 to US$210 an hour in Los Angeles, New York or London depending on the vehicle, and US$110 to US$220 in Toronto, with a three-hour minimum. Full eight-hour days run from US$775 in a business sedan to US$1,550 in a 12-seat Executive Sprinter.
Because shooting days are long, most production bookings use the full-day or ten-hour day rates, or hourly bookings of up to twelve hours. Here is a guide from the main production cities on our price lists.
| City | By the hour, sedan to Sprinter (3-hour min) | Full day, 8 hours: sedan / First Class SUV / Sprinter | 10-hour day: sedan / Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|
| Los Angeles | US$105 to US$210 | US$775 / US$1,180 / US$1,550 | US$945 / US$1,890 |
| New York City | US$105 to US$210 | US$775 / US$1,180 / US$1,550 | US$945 / US$1,890 |
| Toronto | US$110 to US$220 | US$810 / US$1,215 / US$1,620 | US$990 / US$1,980 |
| Vancouver | US$110 to US$220 | US$810 / US$1,215 / US$1,620 | US$990 / US$1,980 |
| Atlanta | US$95 to US$190 | US$700 / US$1,070 / US$1,400 | US$855 / US$1,710 |
| London | US$105 to US$210 | US$775 / US$1,180 / US$1,550 | US$945 / US$1,890 |
| Paris | US$90 to US$180 | US$665 / US$995 / US$1,325 | US$810 / US$1,620 |
The ten-hour day is listed on our city price lists as the corporate roadshow day: ten hours with one chauffeur and a planned route, priced 10% below hourly. Tolls, parking and time beyond the booked block are billed at cost.
What we move on a production
Talent cars. A First Class Sedan or First Class SUV, the same chauffeur every day where possible, pickups timed to the call sheet, and a car that waits at base or the hotel. For a lead who wants to rest or run lines between locations, the six-seat Jet Sprinter with captain's chairs is a moving trailer; it is priced in the web booker.
Crew Sprinters. An Executive Sprinter seats up to 12 with up to 12 bags, which suits a department moving from the hotel to unit base, or a small crew to a location with personal kit. It is not a grip truck: hard cases and personal kit, yes; lighting and camera packages, no.
Airport arrivals. Talent, directors and producers flying in, flight-tracked, met inside arrivals with a name board (or without a name, see below), with complimentary waiting after a tracked landing. For private flights into Van Nuys or Teterboro, see private jet and FBO transfers.
Producers, financiers and studio executives. Visits to set, meetings between offices and location scouts. See executive car service and roadshow chauffeur for the day-long version.
Press junkets and premieres. Talent moving between interviews, a red carpet drop-off at the door and a car waiting for the after-party. The five-hour Evening out & event night block suits a premiere: US$525 in a business sedan in Los Angeles or New York. See event transportation.
Commercials, music videos and photo shoots
Shorter productions have the same problems in a smaller box. A one-day commercial shoot might need a talent car from the hotel, a Sprinter for the agency and client team, and a car on standby for the director between the studio and a second location. A music video often runs overnight, with artists arriving late and leaving at dawn. A fashion or catalogue shoot moves models, stylists and wardrobe rails between a studio and two or three street locations.
For these jobs, a single Executive Sprinter booked by the hour for the agency and client, plus one First Class SUV for talent, covers most days. In Los Angeles that is US$210 and US$160 an hour respectively, three-hour minimum; in London the same. Wardrobe rails and garment bags fit in the Sprinter's rear area; tell us how many when you book so the partner configures the seats.
Working to the call sheet
Productions run on call sheets that change the night before. The desk works the same way.
- Standing bookings by department or by person. Each pickup is its own booking with its own confirmation, so a change for one actor does not disturb the crew van.
- Send tomorrow's times when the call sheet is out. The desk updates each booking and the partner confirms the chauffeurs.
- Base and location addresses. Give us the unit base, the parking for the cars and the location; productions often have a specific holding area for talent cars. The chauffeur follows the location manager's instructions on the day.
- Wrap. Wrap times run late. Book the return as part of the day or as a separate pickup "on call", and the desk dispatches it when the 2nd AD or the production office calls.
- Pre-calls and turnaround. Very early pickups are normal; tell us if the same chauffeur has a late wrap the night before, so the partner can plan rest for the next morning.
Long days need breaks. We plan the chauffeur's meals around the shooting schedule so the car is never missing when it is needed.
Permits, locations and the city
Filming permits belong to the production, not the car company, but they affect where vehicles can stop. In Greater Los Angeles, FilmLA handles film permits and runs the MyFilmLA permit system; in New York City, the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment issues film permits. Productions coming to the UK can start with the British Film Commission. If your permit reserves parking for production vehicles, send us the details so talent cars and crew vans can use it.
Confidentiality and name boards
Productions are confidential, and some passengers cannot be named. NDAs are available on request, and production companies with a corporate account can keep one on file for every booking. Name boards can carry a production code name or a character name instead of a real name, or no board at all, with the chauffeur waiting by the car. For protected principals with security teams, see government and diplomatic transportation.
The production cities we book most
Los Angeles. Studio lots, stages and locations from the Valley to the coast, and talent hotels in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. LAX to Beverly Hills is fixed from US$170, Burbank from US$175 and Van Nuys from US$200. See Los Angeles limo service.
New York. Stages and locations across the five boroughs and New Jersey. Teterboro to Midtown is fixed from US$170, JFK from US$210. See New York car service.
Toronto. Toronto and the GTA run on the Elly8 fleet and chauffeurs, so Toronto productions deal directly with our own chauffeurs and dispatch. Pearson to downtown is fixed from US$155. See Toronto limo service.
Vancouver and Atlanta. Series and feature work with long location days outside the city. YVR to downtown Vancouver is fixed from US$110; Atlanta airport to Midtown from US$150. See Vancouver and Atlanta.
London and Paris. Studios outside London and locations in the city; for Paris, locations across the arrondissements and the Ile-de-France. Heathrow to Mayfair is fixed from US$195, CDG to the 8th from US$170. In Europe the SUV class is the Mercedes-Benz V-Class. See London and Paris.
Outside Toronto and the GTA, rides are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Partner vehicles are four model years or newer, and seven or newer for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley.
Production cars vs rideshare, taxis or crew driving themselves
Rideshare and taxis are fine for a crew member going home from a city-centre wrap at a normal hour. They are not reserved, do not wait at base, cannot be relied on at 4:30 a.m. in an industrial district and leave no consistent paper trail for the production accountant.
Crew driving themselves is normal for many departments and often the right call. After a fourteen-hour day, though, a driven van home for the crew who need one is a sensible safety decision.
Pre-booked production transport wins for talent, for early calls and late wraps, for confidentiality, and for accounting: every ride on one monthly invoice with the production's references.
| Need | Elly8.net | Rideshare or taxi |
|---|---|---|
| 4:30 a.m. pickup guaranteed | booked and confirmed in writing | not reserved |
| Same chauffeur every day | where possible | no |
| Waits at base or the hotel | yes, by the hour | no |
| Code names and NDA | yes, on request | no |
| Monthly invoice with production references | yes, on account | receipts per ride |
How booking works
- Send the plan: pickups and drop-offs from the call sheet, flight numbers for arrivals, or the hours for a day booking.
- Choose the vehicles: First Class Sedan or SUV for talent, Executive Sprinter for crew, Jet Sprinter in the web booker.
- Reserve now and pay by card, or book on account. Each booking is confirmed by email, and the chauffeur's details follow before the call.
Production companies and studios open corporate accounts with monthly invoicing and cost-centre or episode references; travel coordinators and agencies book through a travel-agent account, and hotels housing a production can book through a hotel account. Cancellation: more than 72 hours before pickup, free; 72 hours or less, 10%; 48 hours or less, 50%; 24 hours or less, or a no-show, 100%. Refunds go to the original card.

Frequently asked questions
Do you provide picture cars or camera cars?
No. Elly8.net moves people: talent, crew, producers and guests. Picture cars, camera cars, trucks and precision driving are specialist services for the production's transport department and its vendors. Our bookings are for passenger transport, so tell the transport coordinator to source any vehicle that will appear in shot separately.
Can we change pickup times the night before?
Yes. Send the updated times when the call sheet is released, and the desk updates each booking and confirms the chauffeurs with the partner. Each pickup is its own booking, so a change for one person does not move anyone else. Inside the cancellation windows, the standard policy applies.
Can talent be met without a name board?
Yes. Name boards can carry a production code name, a character name or nothing at all, with the chauffeur waiting at the car. NDAs are available on request, and production companies on account can keep one on file so every booking is covered.
How long can we book a car for on a shooting day?
By the hour up to twelve hours, with a three-hour minimum, or as an eight-hour full day or a ten-hour day at the reduced package rates. For days longer than twelve hours, book a second chauffeur for the wrap so the first driver gets proper rest.
Can a Sprinter carry equipment?
An Executive Sprinter carries up to 12 people with up to 12 bags, which covers personal kit and small hard cases. It is not a substitute for a grip, electric or camera truck. Tell us what the crew is carrying when you book, and add a second vehicle if needed.
How does billing work for a production?
On a corporate account, every ride appears on a monthly invoice with the references you choose: production name, episode, department or cost centre. One-off bookings can also be paid by card at the time of booking. Each ride has its own confirmation for the production accountant.
Do you work outside Los Angeles and New York?
Yes, in all 141 Elly8.net cities across the USA, Canada and Europe, including Toronto on the Elly8 fleet, Vancouver, Atlanta, London and Paris. Enter location addresses in the web booker for fixed prices, or call the 24/7 desk to plan a whole shoot.
Are the chauffeurs licensed and insured?
Yes. In Toronto and the GTA, rides run on the Elly8 fleet with our own chauffeurs. Elsewhere, rides are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network, with partner vehicles four model years or newer.
