A Courchevel transfer booked through Elly8.net is a private chauffeur and winter-equipped vehicle at a fixed, all-in price, agreed before you fly and charged to your card in US dollars. Geneva Airport to Courchevel 1850 costs from US$525 in a business sedan to US$1,365 in an Executive Sprinter, a sensible choice for a family with skis and boot bags; the short hop from Courchevel Altiport starts at US$120.
Rides in Courchevel are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Courchevel is not a city, and the drive up is the main event: a motorway, a valley road and a climb of switchbacks, often in snow. This page covers the two airports, the mountain road and its winter rules, the resort's villages, and when a shared shuttle or the train is the better choice.
How much is a transfer from Geneva to Courchevel?
A fixed Elly8.net transfer from Geneva Airport to Courchevel 1850 costs from US$525 in a business sedan, US$685 in a business SUV, US$840 in a First Class SUV and US$1,365 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. It includes the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Tolls and parking are billed at cost.
The road distance is about 148 km (92 mi) and the drive takes about 2 hours 34 minutes on a clear road. In winter, clear roads are the exception: snow on the climb above Moûtiers, and Saturday changeover traffic along the valley, can add an hour or more. The fare is fixed regardless. A round trip from Geneva and back costs from US$1,000 in a business sedan to US$2,595 in a Sprinter, which most skiers book together so the departure on the last day is settled before they arrive.
Geneva Airport and Courchevel Altiport
| Airport | Distance to Courchevel 1850 | Clear-road drive | Business sedan | Business SUV | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Geneva (GVA) | 148 km / 92 mi | about 154 min | from US$525 | US$685 | US$1,365 |
| Courchevel Altiport (CVF) | 4 km / 3 mi | about 7 min | from US$120 | US$160 | US$315 |
Geneva (GVA). Geneva Airport is the usual gateway for North American skiers, whether you fly in directly or connect through London, Paris, Frankfurt or Zurich. Give us the flight number; the chauffeur tracks the landing and waits in arrivals with a name board, then loads the skis and bags. Ski luggage takes time at the oversize baggage belt, and waiting after a tracked landing is complimentary. If a connection is missed or a flight diverts because of weather, the 24/7 desk moves the pickup. Read more on Geneva to Courchevel airport transfers and meet and greet, and see our Geneva airport transfers page if you are spending time in the city first.
Courchevel Altiport (CVF). The resort's own airfield sits on the mountainside above Courchevel 1850, about 4 km (3 mi) and 7 minutes from the centre. The resort describes it as accommodating certain private and commercial flights; its short, sloping runway is reserved for suitable aircraft and pilots qualified for it, and operations depend on mountain weather. Some guests fly privately to a larger airport and continue to the Altiport by helicopter or small aircraft. Transfers from the Altiport to the resort start at US$120 in a business sedan and US$210 in a First Class Sedan, with round trips from US$230. See private jet and FBO transfers.
The Courchevel tourist office also lists Lyon-Saint-Exupéry and Chambéry as access airports. We quote those routes through the web booker.
The road up: winter tyres, chains and timing
From Geneva the route runs on motorways south through Savoie to Albertville, then along the dual carriageway up the Tarentaise valley to Moûtiers, and finally up the mountain road to Courchevel - a climb the tourist office times at about 30 minutes from Moûtiers in normal conditions.
French law treats this as mountain driving. In Savoie, the prefecture's winter rules require every vehicle, from 1 November to 31 March and across the whole department, either to have winter tyres marked 3PMSF or to carry snow chains or snow socks for the driven wheels. Partner vehicles assigned to Courchevel transfers in that period are equipped accordingly, and the chauffeur fits chains when signs or conditions call for them. That is one of the clearest reasons not to rent: a hire car collected in Geneva may not come with the equipment French mountain roads require, and fitting chains on a switchback in the dark after an overnight flight is not how anyone wants to start a ski week. Our chauffeur vs car rental guide sets out the comparison.
Timing matters as much as equipment. Saturdays in season are changeover days across the Tarentaise valley, when departing and arriving guests share the same road, and the drive can take far longer than the clear-road time. If your dates are flexible, a Sunday or midweek arrival is calmer. When snow is forecast, the chauffeur may suggest leaving earlier; the fixed fare does not change.
Going home: the departure from the mountain
The trip down to Geneva needs more margin than the trip up. If your flight home leaves Geneva in the morning, the pickup in Courchevel can be well before dawn, on a road that may have frozen overnight. The desk normally works back from your flight: about three hours to reach Geneva in good conditions, plus extra time if snow is forecast or it is a Saturday, plus the check-in margin your airline recommends for a long-haul flight with oversize ski bags.
If the forecast looks bad, the desk may suggest leaving the evening before and staying near the airport; it is a judgement made with you, not a surcharge. Booking the departure together with the arrival - the round trip costs from US$1,000 in a business sedan and US$2,595 in an Executive Sprinter - means the car is already assigned when the weather turns, rather than competing with every other chalet in the valley for the last available driver.
Shared shuttle, train, helicopter or a private chauffeur
| Option | Price | Time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shared coach or shuttle from Geneva | Per seat, set by the operator | Longer, with stops at other resorts | Solo travellers and couples on a budget |
| Train to Moûtiers, then taxi or bus | Rail fare plus the last leg | Train time plus about 30 min up the mountain | Travellers already in France, light luggage |
| Helicopter or small aircraft to the Altiport | Set by the operator | Fastest when weather allows | Private flyers, light luggage |
| Elly8.net from Geneva | From US$525 per vehicle, fixed | Door to chalet door | Families, groups, ski equipment, late arrivals, fixed budgets |
The honest view: if you are travelling alone or as a couple with a single ski bag, a shared coach from Geneva is far cheaper, and the tourist office publishes coach schedules from Geneva, Lyon, Chambéry and Moûtiers. Moûtiers is the nearest railway station to the resort, which makes the train a good choice for travellers already in France. A helicopter or a flight into the Altiport is the fastest option when the weather cooperates.
A private chauffeur wins for families and groups. An Executive Sprinter from US$1,365 carries a family of six or a group of friends with skis, boots and luggage in one vehicle, without stopping at three other resorts first, and costs less per person than many assume. It also wins for late arrivals, for anyone carrying children who need child seats, and for chalet guests whose host wants a reliable arrival time. Courchevel's villages and Les 3 Vallées
Courchevel is a family of villages on one mountainside, linked to Méribel and Val Thorens in Les 3 Vallées ski area.
Courchevel 1850. The highest and best known, with palace hotels, private chalets on the Jardin Alpin and Bellecôte slopes, the Croisette at the foot of the lifts, and the Altiport above. Our fares are calculated to 1850.
Moriond (1650), Courchevel Village (1550) and Le Praz (1300). Lower villages with their own lifts and chalets. They are a short drive from 1850 and quoted through the web booker.
La Tania. The wooded village between Le Praz and Méribel, also part of the Courchevel ski domain.
Inside the resort, the roads between villages are steep and the parking near the lifts is limited, so many guests keep a car for the week. Courchevel car service by the hour costs US$95 an hour in a business sedan, US$120 in a business SUV, US$155 in a First Class Sedan and US$190 in an Executive Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum. A full-day chauffeur costs from US$700 in a business sedan to US$1,400 in a Sprinter, ideal for a day at Méribel or Val Thorens with the car carrying the skis between them.
The 2026 to 2027 season and evenings out
The Courchevel tourist office gives the winter season as 4 December 2026 to 18 April 2027. Christmas, New Year, the February school holidays in Europe and Easter are the peak weeks; book transfers for those dates as early as your flights.
Evenings in Courchevel mean dinners at mountain restaurants reached by snowy roads, and late returns to chalets. The evening out and event night package costs from US$475 in a business sedan to US$950 in a Sprinter, with the chauffeur waiting through dinner. For private parties and chalet events, see event transportation. The private highlights tour, from US$380, takes in the villages, the Altiport viewpoint and the mountain villages of the valley.
Corporate travel and chalet hosts
Companies holding ski incentives, client weekends or board retreats in Courchevel can use a corporate account with fixed fares from Geneva, monthly invoicing and NDAs on request; the corporate roadshow day, from US$855 in a business sedan to US$1,710 in a Sprinter, covers a full day of movements. See corporate car service. Chalet operators, hotels and travel agents book guests on account through hotel accounts and travel agent accounts.
Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley, all from licensed, commercially insured operators. See the fleet.

About 148 km (92 mi) and about 2 hours 34 minutes on a clear road. In winter, snow on the climb above Moûtiers and Saturday changeover traffic in the Tarentaise valley can add an hour or more. The chauffeur plans the departure around the forecast, and the fixed fare does not change.

Can you fit skis and snowboards?
Yes. Tell us how many ski or board bags and boot bags you are bringing when you book. A Business SUV takes a couple or small family with equipment; an Executive Sprinter is the usual choice for four or more skiers with full luggage.
What if my flight to Geneva is delayed?
The chauffeur tracks the landing from your flight number, and waiting after a tracked landing is complimentary, including the wait at the oversize baggage belt. If a connection is missed or the flight diverts, message the 24/7 desk with the new details and the pickup moves.
Are child seats available?
Yes. Ask for child or booster seats when you book and give the children's ages, and the partner fits them before pickup. Combined with the luggage space of an SUV or Sprinter, that makes a private transfer the simplest way up the mountain for families.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation more than 72 hours before pickup. A 10% fee applies at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. Refunds go to the original card used for the booking.
