A Monaco car service booked through Elly8.net is a private chauffeur at a fixed, all-in price, agreed before you fly and charged to your card in US dollars. The transfer from Nice Côte d'Azur Airport to Monte-Carlo costs from US$220 in a business sedan to US$575 in an Executive Sprinter, with the chauffeur waiting in arrivals, tracking your flight and loading the luggage.
Rides in Monaco are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Monaco has no airport of its own, so almost every visit begins with the drive, the train or the helicopter from Nice. This page sets out the choices honestly, then covers the districts, the event calendar and how the desk plans race weekend.
How much is a transfer from Nice airport to Monaco?
A fixed Elly8.net transfer from Nice Côte d'Azur Airport to Monte-Carlo costs from US$220 in a business sedan, US$290 in a business SUV, US$385 in a First Class Sedan and US$575 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. It includes the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Tolls and parking are billed at cost.
The road distance is about 35 km (21 mi) and the drive takes about 45 minutes on a clear road, usually by the A8 motorway and the descent into the principality, or by the slower coast road when the motorway is jammed. A round trip from the airport and back costs from US$420 in a business sedan to US$1,095 in a Sprinter. Monaco is a sovereign principality, but the road from France has no border check, so the transfer runs straight through.
Arriving at Nice Côte d'Azur Airport
Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (NCE) has two terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, linked by a free tram. Many North American travellers reach it on a connection through Paris, London, Frankfurt or another hub, so give us the flight number of your final segment. The chauffeur tracks that landing, waits in the arrivals hall of the correct terminal with a name board, and walks you to the car. Waiting after a tracked landing is complimentary, and if a connection is missed the 24/7 desk moves the pickup to the new flight. More on Nice to Monaco airport transfers and meet and greet.
Private jets to Monaco land at Nice's Business Aviation Terminal, which has its own customs post. The chauffeur meets you there at the same fixed fares; see private jet and FBO transfers.
Car, helicopter, taxi, coach or train: the honest comparison
Monaco has more ways in than most destinations, and each one suits a different traveller.
| Option | Price | Time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Helicopter, Nice airport to the Monaco heliport | Set by the operators | The fastest crossing | Travellers who want to skip the road, light luggage |
| Taxi from the Nice airport rank | €95 fixed rate (airport's 2025 indicative fare) | Same roads as any car | Spontaneous trips with no booking |
| Express coach line 80 | Bought before boarding | Longer, with stops along the coast | Budget trips, light bags |
| Regional train from Nice-Ville | Regional fare | Train time plus getting to Nice-Ville | Day visitors already in Nice |
| Elly8.net business sedan | US$220 fixed, per vehicle | Door to hotel door | Families, groups, executives, heavy luggage, fixed budgets |
The airport publishes a €95 fixed taxi rate from Nice airport to Monaco, and its business aviation team describes a helicopter terminal serving regular Nice to Monaco helicopter services. The Express coach, line 80 to Monaco and Menton, leaves from Terminal 2. A helicopter is genuinely the quickest way in, and on Grand Prix weekend, when roads into the circuit are controlled, it is often the most sensible choice for anyone travelling light; we will say so. You will still need ground transport from the heliport to your hotel, which a chauffeur can provide.
A pre-booked chauffeur wins on the door-to-door experience. Monaco is built on a cliff, with lifts and tunnels linking its levels, and arriving with four suitcases at a hotel on Place du Casino by coach or train is hard work. The car takes the whole party, child seats fitted, to the hotel's entrance, at a price fixed in dollars before you leave home. For the broader reasoning, see chauffeur vs taxi and chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft.
Monte-Carlo, the Rock and the harbour
Monte-Carlo. Place du Casino, the Hôtel de Paris, the Casino de Monte-Carlo and the boutiques of the Golden Circle make Monte-Carlo the reference point for our fares. The square is small and busy in the evening, so drop-offs are timed: the chauffeur arrives at the minute you set, rather than waiting on the square.
Port Hercule and La Condamine. The harbour below Monte-Carlo is where superyachts berth and where the Monaco Yacht Show takes place. Yacht guests usually want luggage delivered to the quay; tell us the berth and the chauffeur coordinates with the crew.
Monaco-Ville. The old town on the Rock holds the Prince's Palace, the cathedral and the Oceanographic Museum. Access for vehicles is restricted, so the chauffeur drops at the nearest permitted point.
Larvotto and Fontvieille. The beach district to the east and the reclaimed business and residential district to the west, by the heliport. The Grimaldi Forum, Monaco's convention and cultural centre, sits on the Larvotto seafront and hosts conferences and exhibitions through the year.
Because the principality is small, an hourly booking is often more useful than a series of transfers: the car stays with you between a lunch on the harbour, a meeting in Fontvieille and dinner in Monte-Carlo. Monaco car service by the hour costs US$100 an hour in a business sedan, US$125 in a business SUV and US$200 in an Executive Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum.
Leaving Monaco for the airport
The return to Nice is where most timing mistakes happen. The climb out of the principality to the A8 is slow at the evening rush, the motorway towards Nice backs up behind the toll plazas on summer weekends, and the drop-off lanes at Nice airport fill when many departures are scheduled close together. The desk normally suggests leaving Monte-Carlo so that you reach the terminal two and a half hours before a long-haul flight and two hours before a European one, then adds time in July and August, on Grand Prix weekend and during the Yacht Show.
If you are flying home to North America through Paris, London or another hub, the connection sets the real deadline, and the first flight out of Nice is the one that cannot be missed. Booking the departure at the same time as the arrival locks in both fixed fares - from US$420 for the round trip in a business sedan - and lets the desk plan the pickup around your checkout, a late lunch on the harbour or a last meeting in Fontvieille. Motorway tolls on the way are billed at cost.
The Monaco Grand Prix and the 2027 calendar
These are the dates published by organisers for the next editions after October 2026.
- Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco, 4 to 6 June 2027. Confirmed on the Formula 1 2027 calendar and by the Automobile Club de Monaco. The circuit runs through the streets of Monte-Carlo and La Condamine, so roads inside it close for practice, qualifying and the race, and traffic control extends well beyond. We plan race-weekend transfers around those controls: arrivals timed outside session hours where possible, drop-offs at the nearest permitted point, and early departures booked in advance. Some guests choose to stay in Nice or Cannes and travel in each morning; the evening out and event night package from US$500 in a business sedan works well for the parties that follow each session.
- Monaco Yacht Show, 22 to 25 September 2027 at Port Hercule, per the show organisers. Brokers and buyers often book a car by the hour for the week, moving between the show, their hotel and Nice airport.
- The rest of the Riviera season. The Cannes Film Festival from 11 to 22 May 2027 and Cannes Lions from 21 to 25 June 2027 bring many guests who stay in Monaco and travel west; see our Cannes car service page. The Automobile Club de Monaco also runs the Rallye Monte-Carlo each winter.
For any of these, book early through event transportation or sports event transportation. The evening out and event night package costs from US$500 in a business sedan to US$1,000 in an Executive Sprinter.
Days out from Monaco
There is no fixed signature package from Monaco, because most guests prefer to build their own day. The private city highlights tour costs from US$400 in a business sedan to US$800 in a Sprinter, covering the Rock, the Palace, the Casino, the Grand Prix circuit and the viewpoints above the principality. A full-day chauffeur, from US$740 in a business sedan, US$920 in a business SUV and US$1,475 in a Sprinter, opens up the coast: the hilltop village of Èze and the corniche roads, Menton and its gardens near the Italian border, the Italian Riviera, or Saint-Paul-de-Vence in the hills behind Nice. From Nice, the same idea is packaged as the six-hour Èze and Monaco day trip on our Nice chauffeur page. See private city tours for more.
Corporate travel, family offices and private events
Monaco's business is private banking, wealth management, yachting and events, and discretion matters. A corporate account gives your company fixed airport fares, the corporate roadshow day from US$900 in a business sedan to US$1,800 in a Sprinter, monthly invoicing and NDAs on request. Read more on corporate car service and executive car service.
Private dinners, galas and weddings in Monaco and the villages around it use a First Class Sedan for principals and an Executive Sprinter with driver for guests; see wedding transportation and group transportation. Concierges and travel agents book on account through hotel accounts and travel agent accounts.
Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley, all from licensed, commercially insured operators. See the fleet.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a car from Nice airport to Monaco?
A fixed Elly8.net transfer from Nice Côte d'Azur Airport to Monte-Carlo costs from US$220 in a business sedan, US$290 in a business SUV, US$385 in a First Class Sedan and US$575 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. It includes the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet; tolls and parking are billed at cost.
How long does the drive from Nice airport to Monaco take?
About 45 minutes on a clear road for roughly 35 km (21 mi). In summer traffic, on event days or at the evening rush, allow an hour or more. The fixed fare does not change, and the chauffeur chooses between the motorway and the coast road based on live traffic.
Is the helicopter better than a car?
It is faster, and for a light traveller on Grand Prix weekend it can be the smart choice. A car is better for families, heavy luggage, child seats and door-to-door delivery to the hotel. Many guests fly in by helicopter and book a chauffeur in Monaco for the rest of the stay.
Can you drive us during the Monaco Grand Prix?
Yes, within the traffic controls. Roads inside the circuit close during sessions, so the desk times transfers around them and uses the nearest permitted drop-off points. Book as early as possible for 4 to 6 June 2027, because demand for cars across the Riviera peaks that weekend.
Are child seats available?
Yes. Ask for child or booster seats when you book and give the children's ages, and the partner fits them before pickup. A Business SUV or Executive Sprinter gives a family room for seats, strollers and luggage in one vehicle.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation more than 72 hours before pickup. A 10% fee applies at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. Refunds go to the original card used for the booking.
Do you offer corporate accounts in Monaco?
Yes. Corporate and family-office accounts include fixed fares from Nice airport, hourly bookings, the corporate roadshow day from US$900, monthly invoicing and NDAs on request. Assistants can book for any principal or guest, and the same account books our other cities across Europe and North America.
