A Copenhagen airport transfer booked through Elly8.net is a private chauffeur and vehicle at a fixed, all-in price, agreed before you fly and charged to your card in US dollars. Copenhagen Kastrup Airport (CPH) to Kongens Nytorv costs from US$115 in a business sedan to US$300 in an Executive Sprinter, and the same desk books congress days at the Bella Center, the drive north to Kronborg Castle and trips across the Øresund Bridge to Malmö.
Rides in Copenhagen are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Copenhagen is a city of cyclists and an excellent metro, and the airport sits on the island of Amager only about 10 km (6 mi) from the centre, so we start with an honest answer: for a solo traveller with a carry-on, the metro is hard to beat. For everyone else, here is what a chauffeur adds, and what it costs.
How much is a car from Copenhagen Airport to the city?
A fixed Elly8.net transfer from Copenhagen Airport (CPH) to Kongens Nytorv costs from US$115 in a business sedan, US$150 in a business SUV, US$185 in a First Class SUV and US$300 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. It includes the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Tolls and parking are billed at cost.
The road distance is about 10 km (6 mi) and the drive takes about 22 minutes on a clear road. Weekday rush hours on the approach into the city can add time, but the fare is fixed. A First Class Sedan costs US$205. A round trip, booked together so the departure is settled before you land, costs from US$220 in a business sedan to US$570 in a Sprinter.
| Route | Distance | Clear-road drive | Business sedan | Business SUV | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CPH to Kongens Nytorv | 10 km / 6 mi | about 22 min | from US$115 | US$150 | US$300 |
| CPH round trip | 20 km / 12 mi | 2 x 22 min | from US$220 | US$285 | US$570 |
| Kronborg and the Danish Riviera (6 hours) | about 48 km / 30 mi each way | - | from US$500 | US$635 | US$995 |

Arriving at Copenhagen Airport
Most travellers from North America reach Copenhagen on a direct flight or a connection through another European hub. Give us the flight number when you book: the chauffeur tracks the actual landing, waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, and waiting after a tracked landing is complimentary. Passport control and baggage reclaim after a long-haul flight can take time, and the chauffeur waits through it. If a connection is missed, message the 24/7 desk with the new flight and the pickup moves.
Tell us how many checked bags, strollers or ski bags you are bringing and whether anyone needs a child seat, and the desk assigns a vehicle that fits. Read more about airport transfers and meet and greet. For private flights, give us the operator and tail number and the desk arranges the meeting point with the handling agent; see private jet and FBO transfers.
Metro, taxi, ride-hailing or a pre-booked chauffeur
Copenhagen's metro is the benchmark. The Copenhagen Metro says it takes 14 minutes from the airport station on line M2 to the centre of the city, and the metro runs around the clock, every day. A 3-zone ticket for travel between the city centre and the airport costs DKK 30 for an adult, and an adult may bring two children under 12 for free. Visit Copenhagen notes that the Copenhagen Card includes unlimited public transport, including to and from the airport.
| Option | Price | Time to the centre | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Metro M2 | DKK 30 per adult, 3 zones | about 14 min, around the clock | One or two travellers, light bags, central hotels |
| Taxi from the rank | Metered | about 22 min plus traffic | Short notice, a single trip |
| Ride-hailing app | Dynamic, changes with demand | Pickup wait plus drive | Off-peak trips, where the app operates |
| Elly8.net business sedan | From US$115 per vehicle, fixed | about 22 min, door to door | Families, groups, heavy luggage, fixed budgets |
The honest view: a couple with two carry-ons staying near Kongens Nytorv should take the metro, and they will be at the hotel before a car has cleared the airport roads. A taxi from the rank works for a quick trip when you have not planned ahead.
A pre-booked chauffeur wins when the metro stops being simple: a family with checked suitcases and a child seat, a group of colleagues heading straight to the Bella Center, a hotel outside the metro's reach, a late arrival in winter darkness, or a traveller who wants the price settled before departure. An Executive Sprinter at US$300 carries a group of six and their luggage in one vehicle. See chauffeur vs taxi, chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft and chauffeur vs airport shuttle.
Bella Center and congress days
The Bella Center Copenhagen in Ørestad is a large exhibition and congress venue on Amager, used for medical and scientific congresses, trade fairs and conferences, between the airport and the centre. The venue notes it is close to metro, train and bus, and it has its own metro stop, Bella Center, on line M1.
For congress delegates the planning problem is the morning peak. Thousands of attendees arrive at the same entrances within the same hour, and the trip back to central hotels at the end of the day is just as crowded. Delegations, sponsors and speakers book the hourly service, from US$90 an hour in a business sedan to US$180 in an Executive Sprinter with a 3-hour minimum, or the corporate roadshow day, from US$810 in a business sedan to US$1,620 in a Sprinter, with the car waiting near the venue between sessions. See conference transportation and hourly chauffeur.
Where to stay: Kongens Nytorv, Nyhavn and the harbour
Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn. Our reference point for fares is the King's New Square, at the head of the Nyhavn canal and next to the Royal Danish Theatre. The grand hotels here and along the shopping street of Strøget put you within walking distance of the old town.
The Central Station and Tivoli. Hotels around the Rådhuspladsen and the Central Station are convenient for trains, with Tivoli Gardens across the street.
Frederiksstaden and the waterfront. The quarter around Amalienborg Palace and the harbour front has quieter, upscale hotels; the opera house faces it across the water.
Christianshavn and the islands. Canals, restaurants and converted warehouses on the other side of the harbour, linked by bridges that are often busier with bicycles than cars.
Copenhagen's centre is compact but it is designed around bikes and public transport, so kerb space for cars is limited. Your chauffeur agrees a meeting point at each stop, which matters more here than in most cities.
Tivoli, Christmas and nights out
Tivoli Gardens is the city's historic amusement park and concert garden. Christmas in Tivoli runs from 13 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, and evening crowds at the main entrance on Vesterbrogade and the Central Station entrance on Bernstorffsgade make a pre-arranged pickup point useful.
The evening out and event night package costs from US$450 in a business sedan to US$900 in an Executive Sprinter, and covers dinner, a concert or the theatre and the drive back. The private city highlights tour, from US$360 in a business sedan to US$720 in a Sprinter, covers Nyhavn, Amalienborg, the Little Mermaid on the Langelinie promenade, Christiansborg and Christianshavn. For weddings and private celebrations, see wedding limousine and event transportation. The chauffeur follows local rules on everything inside the vehicle.
Day trip: Kronborg Castle and the Danish Riviera
The signature day trip from Copenhagen follows the coast north along the shore the Danes call the Danish Riviera, to Kronborg Castle in Helsingør. Kronborg, part of the National Museum of Denmark, is on the UNESCO World Heritage list and is known around the world as the setting of Shakespeare's Hamlet; an adult ticket costs DKK 150, or DKK 135 bought online. The castle is about 48 km (30 mi) from Kongens Nytorv by road, about 47 minutes on a clear road.
On the way, many guests stop at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, about 40 km (25 mi) from the centre, for its collection and its gardens above the sea. The six-hour package covers the coast road, the museum, lunch and the castle, and costs from US$500 in a business sedan, US$635 in a business SUV, US$805 in a First Class Sedan and US$750 in a First Class SUV to US$995 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. See private city tours.
For a longer day, the full-day chauffeur costs from US$665 in a business sedan to US$1,325 in a Sprinter.
Malmö and the Øresund Bridge
Copenhagen and Malmö are linked by the Øresund Bridge and tunnel, and the Swedish city is about 40 km (25 mi) from central Copenhagen by road, about 45 minutes on a clear road, or about 34 km (21 mi) from the airport. It is a popular one-way transfer for travellers continuing to southern Sweden, and an easy return trip for meetings or a day in Malmö.
The bridge charges a toll, and Øresundsbron sets the price by the length of the vehicle. Like all tolls, it is billed at cost on top of the fixed fare, so a Sprinter pays more than a sedan. Bring your passport: you are crossing a national border. Malmö and other Swedish routes are quoted through the web booker. See city to city car service.
Copenhagen to Stockholm is a long day by road, and most travellers fly or take the train; if you want to drive, quote it on the web booker and look at our Stockholm chauffeur service for the other end.
Roskilde Festival and summer events
Roskilde Festival takes place west of Copenhagen from 26 June to 3 July 2027, and is one of Europe's large music festivals, with camping guests and day visitors. Arrival and departure days crowd the roads around the festival site. Day guests staying in Copenhagen book transfers from CPH or the city through the web booker, or a full-day chauffeur for the round trip. See concert transportation.
Corporate travel and roadshows
Copenhagen draws life-sciences, shipping, energy and design businesses, and visiting teams usually need a car that waits between meetings. The corporate roadshow day costs from US$810 in a business sedan, US$1,035 in a business SUV and US$1,305 in a First Class Sedan to US$1,620 in an Executive Sprinter. See roadshow chauffeur and corporate car service.
A corporate account gives fixed fares, monthly invoicing, one booking contact for many travellers and NDAs on request. Hotels and travel agents book guests on account through hotel accounts and travel agent accounts. Cruise passengers starting or ending a Baltic voyage in Copenhagen book cruise port transfers the same way.
Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley, all from licensed, commercially insured operators. See the fleet.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a transfer from Copenhagen Airport to the city centre?
A fixed Elly8.net transfer from CPH to Kongens Nytorv costs from US$115 in a business sedan, US$150 in a business SUV, US$205 in a First Class Sedan and US$300 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. It includes the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Tolls and parking are billed at cost.
Is the metro faster than a car from CPH?
For one or two travellers with light bags, often yes. The Copenhagen Metro takes about 14 minutes from the airport to the centre and runs around the clock. A car takes about 22 minutes on a clear road, but goes door to door with your luggage, which matters for families, groups and hotels away from a metro station.
Where does the chauffeur meet me at Copenhagen Airport?
In the arrivals hall, after baggage reclaim and customs, with a name board. The chauffeur tracks your flight from the number you give when booking, and waiting after a tracked landing is complimentary. If you miss a connection, message the 24/7 desk with the new flight and the pickup moves.
Can you drive us to Malmö?
Yes. Malmö is about 40 km (25 mi) from central Copenhagen over the Øresund Bridge, about 45 minutes on a clear road. The fare is fixed and quoted on the web booker; the bridge toll, which depends on the length of the vehicle, is billed at cost. Bring your passport.
How does the Kronborg day trip work?
The six-hour package drives north along the coast to Kronborg Castle in Helsingør, about 48 km (30 mi) from the centre, with time for the Louisiana Museum and lunch. It costs from US$500 in a business sedan to US$995 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. Museum and castle tickets are bought separately.
Are child seats available?
Yes. Ask for child or booster seats when you book and give the children's ages, and the partner fits them before pickup. With an SUV or Sprinter, that makes a private transfer the simplest way into the city for a family with suitcases.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation more than 72 hours before pickup. A 10% fee applies at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. Refunds go to the original card used for the booking.
Can you handle groups for a Bella Center congress?
Yes. Executive Sprinters carry groups with luggage, and the hourly service or the corporate roadshow day keeps cars near the venue between sessions. A corporate account adds fixed fares, monthly invoicing and one point of contact for the whole delegation.
