Flying private removes the terminal, the queue and the gate. It should not end with a phone call to find a car. Elly8.net books chauffeurs for private and business aviation in the cities we serve, coordinated with the fixed-base operator (FBO) that handles your aircraft, so the car is in position when the door opens, or when you walk out of the lounge, depending on what the FBO allows.
The executive airports on our city price lists have fixed, all-in prices for every vehicle class, from a business sedan to a 12-seat Executive Sprinter for a full cabin and crew. Mercedes-Maybach and Rolls-Royce are priced in the web booker. Every price includes the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and the meet and greet.

Planeside, ramp or lounge: what the FBO allows
This is the question most private flyers ask, and the honest answer is that tarmac access depends on the FBO and on the airport's security rules, not on the car company. Practices differ from one FBO to the next, even at the same airport, and can change with security levels, the type of flight and whether the arrival is international.
What usually happens, in one of three ways:
- Planeside. Some FBOs allow a pre-arranged vehicle onto the ramp to meet the aircraft, usually with the chauffeur escorted or cleared in advance and the vehicle details sent ahead. Luggage goes straight from the hold to the car.
- Through the lounge. Many FBOs ask passengers to walk through the lounge, a few steps, to the car waiting at the front kerb, while line staff bring the bags.
- After customs. On international arrivals, passengers clear customs and immigration first, and the car meets them once they are released.
When you book, give us the FBO name. We check that FBO's current procedure in advance and tell you which of the three applies, and the chauffeur follows the FBO's instructions on the day. We never promise ramp access that the FBO has not confirmed.
What to send us for a private arrival
Private flights change time more often than airline flights, so the details matter more:
- FBO name and the airport code (TEB, VNY, OPF, LBG, FAB and so on).
- Tail number and the expected arrival time, with the name of the flight department or crew contact if you have one.
- Passengers and bags. Private cabins often bring more luggage than a sedan holds: golf bags, skis, hard cases, dog carriers. A First Class SUV carries 6 with 6 bags; an Executive Sprinter, 12 with 12.
- Crew transport. If pilots and cabin crew need a separate car to their hotel, add a second vehicle so the principal is not waiting.
- Onward plan. Straight to the hotel, a meeting on the way, or the car held by the hour for the day.
Updates on the day go to the 24/7 desk, which passes them to the chauffeur. On airport pickups the chauffeur works to the actual arrival time, and waiting after the confirmed landing is complimentary within the included time.

Discretion, NDAs and security details
Private aviation clients often travel with security, with assistants, or under a name that should not appear on a name board. Tell us how you want to be met: a name board with a code name, no board at all, or a chauffeur who waits at the car. NDAs are available on request, and corporate and family-office clients often keep one on file. For heads of delegation and protected principals, see government and diplomatic transportation.
Outside Toronto and the GTA, rides are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. In Toronto and the GTA, rides run on the Elly8 fleet and chauffeurs.
FBO car service vs the FBO's courtesy car, a taxi or rideshare
FBO courtesy cars, where they exist, are typically meant for crew errands nearby, not for a passenger transfer into the city.
Taxis and rideshare do not wait at most FBOs, which are not on a taxi rank, and a request from a quiet executive airport at night may take a long time to match. A rideshare car is not pre-arranged with the FBO, so it will not be cleared to the ramp.
Your own driver or a car service you know is often the best choice at home. Away from home, a pre-booked chauffeur who has the FBO's procedure in advance is the closest equivalent.

How booking works
- Enter the FBO as the pickup, with the tail number and arrival time, and the drop-off; or choose "by the hour".
- Choose the vehicle, from a First Class Sedan to an Executive Sprinter, or a Maybach, Rolls-Royce or Jet Sprinter in the web booker.
- Reserve now and pay by card or on account. The confirmation arrives by email, and the chauffeur's details follow before landing.
Flight departments, family offices and charter brokers book under corporate accounts with monthly invoicing; travel agents use a travel-agent account. Cancellation: more than 72 hours before pickup, free; 72 hours or less, 10%; 48 hours or less, 50%; 24 hours or less, or a no-show, 100%. Refunds go to the original card.

Frequently asked questions
Can the car meet us at the aircraft?
Sometimes. Tarmac or ramp access depends on the FBO and the airport's security rules, and differs between FBOs at the same airport. Give us the FBO name when you book; we check its current procedure in advance and tell you whether the car can go planeside or will meet you at the lounge kerb.
What happens if our private flight is early or late?
Send the tail number and the estimated arrival, and update the 24/7 desk if the time changes. The chauffeur works to the actual arrival, and waiting after the confirmed landing is complimentary within the included time. Waiting beyond it is billed at cost.
How much is a car from Teterboro to Manhattan?
Teterboro to Midtown Manhattan is a fixed US$170 in a business sedan, US$225 in a business SUV, US$300 in a First Class Sedan, US$275 in a First Class SUV and US$445 in an Executive Sprinter, all-in. Tolls and parking are billed at cost. A round trip in a business sedan is US$325.
Do you meet international private arrivals?
Yes. On international arrivals passengers clear customs and immigration first, at the FBO or wherever the airport directs. The chauffeur meets you once you are released, following the FBO's instructions, and luggage is brought to the car by the FBO's line staff or the chauffeur.
Can you also transport the crew?
Yes. Add a second vehicle for pilots and cabin crew so the principal never waits while the aircraft is secured. Crew cars are often booked to the crew hotel with a separate pickup time, and an Executive Sprinter can carry passengers and crew together when everyone leaves at once.
Is a Rolls-Royce or Maybach available at the FBO?
Mercedes-Maybach and Rolls-Royce are bookable in many cities and are priced in the web booker for your exact FBO and drop-off. Partner vehicles in those classes are seven model years or newer. For larger families, a First Class SUV is the more practical arrival car.
Can you sign an NDA?
Yes, NDAs are available on request. Clients can also be met without a name board, or with a code name on the board. Corporate and family-office accounts often keep an NDA on file so that every booking is covered without new paperwork.
Which FBOs do you serve?
Any FBO reachable from our 141 cities. Teterboro, Van Nuys, Opa-locka, Hanscom, Henderson Executive, DeKalb-Peachtree, Le Bourget and Farnborough are on fixed city price lists; for other FBOs, enter the address in the web booker to see a fixed, all-in price before you book.
