A Los Angeles airport car service turns the most unpredictable part of a trip, the hour after landing, into a set sequence: your flight is tracked, the chauffeur is inside arrivals when you come out with your bags, and the car takes you to your door at a price fixed before you flew. Elly8.net publishes fixed fares from four airports to Beverly Hills: LAX from US$170, Burbank from US$175, Van Nuys from US$200 and John Wayne from US$370, all in a business sedan.
Los Angeles is spread out, and the airport you land at, and the neighbourhood you are heading for, shape the trip more than anything else. This guide follows a typical arrival step by step, then shows realistic drive times from LAX and Burbank to the parts of the city visitors use most.
What happens between landing and drop-off?
The flight is tracked, so the chauffeur adjusts to the real landing time. You deplane and collect bags, or clear customs at the Tom Bradley International Terminal. The chauffeur meets you inside arrivals with a name board, walks you to the car and drives you to the address you booked, at a fixed price.
That is the short version. The detail below shows how long each stage usually takes, so you can tell the hotel, the office or the family when to expect you.

The arrival, step by step
Every arrival has the same stages. What changes is how long they take, and the biggest difference is whether your flight is domestic or international.
| Stage | Domestic arrival | International arrival at LAX |
|---|---|---|
| Landing to gate | 5 to 20 minutes | 5 to 20 minutes |
| Gate to arrivals hall | 10 to 20 minutes | Immigration and customs first, often 30 to 90 minutes |
| Baggage claim | 15 to 30 minutes | Usually before customs |
| Meeting the chauffeur | Inside arrivals, with a name board | Inside the Tom Bradley arrivals hall |
| Walk to the car | 5 to 10 minutes | 5 to 10 minutes |
| Drive to Beverly Hills | About 22 minutes clear, much longer at peak | About 22 minutes clear, much longer at peak |
Before you land. Booking with a flight number lets the desk follow the flight from departure. If you leave New York late, the pickup moves with you. You do not have to message anyone, though you can let the desk know if your plans change.
On the ground. Switch your phone on after landing; the chauffeur's details arrive before pickup with the confirmation. If you are connecting from an international flight to a domestic one at LAX, give the desk the flight you will actually arrive on.
In arrivals. Your chauffeur waits inside the terminal with a name board, not at the curb. At LAX that saves a trip to LAX-it, the separate lot where taxis and app rides pick up. Waiting is complimentary after a tracked landing, which covers the normal time to get off the plane and collect bags, and the immigration queue at Tom Bradley.
At the car. The chauffeur loads the bags and confirms the destination. If you asked for child seats, they are already fitted. If you want a stop on the way, it should be in the booking; the desk can add it if you message ahead.
At the door. The chauffeur takes you to the hotel entrance or the front of the house and unloads the bags. For gated homes in the hills or a building with a private driveway, add gate codes or instructions to the booking.
Which Los Angeles airport, and what it costs
Los Angeles has more useful airports than most visitors realise, and picking the right one can save an hour of traffic. These are the published fixed fares to Beverly Hills.
| Airport | Distance to Beverly Hills | Clear-road drive | Business sedan | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LAX (Los Angeles International) | about 12 mi (20 km) | about 22 min | US$170 | US$445 |
| BUR (Hollywood Burbank) | about 13 mi (21 km) | about 27 min | US$175 | US$455 |
| VNY (Van Nuys) | about 16 mi (26 km) | about 25 min | US$200 | US$520 |
| SNA (John Wayne, Orange County) | about 50 mi (80 km) | about 64 min | US$370 | US$965 |
LAX has the most flights by far, including almost every long-haul international arrival. It is the natural airport for the Westside, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and the South Bay. The trade-off is the terminal loop and the 405.
Burbank is a smaller airport in the San Fernando Valley with mostly domestic flights. For Hollywood, Studio City, Glendale and Pasadena, it is often faster than LAX, and the walk from the gate to the car is short. A round trip from Burbank to Beverly Hills is from US$335 in a business sedan.
Van Nuys is a general aviation airport in the San Fernando Valley and the usual choice for private flights into Los Angeles. Ask your operator which FBO it uses at Van Nuys Airport, and the chauffeur meets you there. Give the desk the tail number and FBO; our private jet and FBO car service explains how the car is staged.
John Wayne in Orange County suits trips to Newport Beach, Irvine and Anaheim, and a few travellers use it for Los Angeles to avoid LAX. For an Orange County stay, our Orange County car service has much shorter fares from SNA, from US$125 to Newport Beach.
Drive times from LAX to the neighbourhoods
Clear-road times are rare in Los Angeles, but they are the honest baseline. The "plan for" column is what we suggest you tell the people waiting for you on a weekday afternoon.
| From LAX to | Distance | Clear road | Plan for at weekday peak |
|---|---|---|---|
| Santa Monica | about 9 mi (14 km) | about 17 min | 35 to 55 min |
| Century City | about 11 mi (18 km) | about 20 min | 40 to 60 min |
| Beverly Hills | about 12 mi (20 km) | about 22 min | 45 to 70 min |
| Hollywood | about 15 mi (24 km) | about 30 min | 50 to 75 min |
| Downtown Los Angeles | about 18 mi (29 km) | about 25 min | 45 to 75 min |
| Pasadena | about 28 mi (45 km) | about 40 min | 60 to 90 min |
| Malibu | about 26 mi (43 km) | about 46 min | 60 to 90 min |
Late-evening and early-morning arrivals are much faster. A flight that lands at 10:00 pm will usually reach Beverly Hills close to the clear-road time; a 5:00 pm landing on a Thursday will not. The fixed fare does not change either way, which is the point of agreeing it in advance.
From Burbank, Hollywood is about 9 miles (14 km), around 17 minutes on a clear road, Pasadena about 16 miles (26 km) and Downtown about 17 miles (27 km). If your week is centred on the studios, the Valley or the east side, compare flights into Burbank before you book.
Where you are going matters too
Hotels. Beverly Hills, Century City, West Hollywood and Santa Monica hotels have driveways and valet stands, and the chauffeur pulls in at the entrance. Downtown hotels near L.A. Live are busy on event nights.
Business addresses. Downtown's financial district and the Los Angeles Convention Center, Century City's towers and the studio lots in Burbank and Culver City all have their own drop-off points and security desks. Add the building, entrance or gate to the booking.
Homes. Gated communities and hillside streets often need a gate code or a call ahead. Narrow streets in the hills may mean the chauffeur stops at the nearest safe point; the desk will tell you when you book.
Multi-stop arrivals. Dropping a colleague in Century City on the way to Santa Monica is common. Add each stop in the web booker and the price is fixed before you pay.
Event weeks. Arrivals in the week of a big event take longer at every stage. The 69th Grammy Awards are scheduled for February 7, 2027, and Super Bowl LXI is at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on February 14, 2027, a few miles from LAX. Book early for those weeks, allow extra time from the airport, and see event transportation if the trip includes a gala or a game.
Departures: the same trip in reverse
The departure is where most travellers misjudge Los Angeles. Allow more time going to the airport than coming from it, because the terminal loop at LAX backs up at peak departure times. Our separate guide to how car service pickups and waiting work at LAX has a full departure timing table. As a rule, leave a Westside hotel two and a half to three hours before a domestic flight, and three and a half to four hours before an international one.
The published round-trip fares make the departure simple: LAX to Beverly Hills and back is from US$325 in a business sedan and US$850 in an Executive Sprinter; Burbank from US$335; Van Nuys from US$380.
Options other than a car service
For some travellers, another option is better, and it is worth being clear about when. The LA Metro regular fare is US$1.75, and rail is a sensible choice for one person with a carry-on heading to a hotel near a station. A taxi or an app ride, picked up at LAX-it, works well enough for a short, off-peak trip with light bags.
A pre-booked car is better when you land late, when you have children who need car seats (available on request), when there are four of you with six bags, when you are heading straight to a meeting, or when the city is busy. Visitors planning the rest of the stay can find ideas on Discover Los Angeles, the official visitor site. Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to get from LAX to my hotel?
To Beverly Hills, about 22 minutes on a clear road for 12 miles (20 km), and 45 to 70 minutes at a weekday afternoon peak. Santa Monica is closer, about 9 miles (14 km), and Pasadena further, about 28 miles (45 km). Add customs time for international arrivals.
Which Los Angeles airport is best for Hollywood or Pasadena?
Burbank is often the better choice. Hollywood is about 9 miles (14 km) from Burbank and Pasadena about 16 miles (26 km), and the airport is smaller and quicker to leave than LAX. Fixed fares from Burbank to Beverly Hills start at US$175.
Where does the chauffeur meet me?
Inside the arrivals area of your terminal, with a name board, after baggage claim; at LAX international arrivals, in the Tom Bradley arrivals hall after customs. At Van Nuys, the chauffeur meets you at your FBO. You do not need to go to LAX-it.
What if my international flight lands but customs takes a long time?
Waiting is complimentary after a tracked landing, and that covers a normal immigration queue. If it is taking much longer, message the 24/7 desk and the car keeps waiting. Waiting beyond the included time is billed at cost.
Are the airport fares fixed?
Yes. Published fares are fixed and all-in per vehicle, including the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Tolls and parking are billed at cost. For addresses not on the price list, the web booker shows the fixed price before you book.
Can a stop be added between the airport and the hotel?
Yes. Add it when you book, and the fixed price includes it. If you decide later, message the 24/7 desk before pickup so the route and price can be updated.
