A Berlin airport transfer booked through Elly8.net is a private chauffeur at a fixed, all-in price agreed before you fly, charged to your card in US dollars. Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) to Mitte costs from US$150 in a business sedan to US$390 in an Executive Sprinter, and the chauffeur tracks your flight and meets you in arrivals with your name.
Rides in Berlin are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. This page covers BER and its two terminals, the government quarter and the hotel districts, the fairs and festivals that fill the city from the Berlinale in February to IFA in September, the Potsdam day trip, and a fair comparison with the Airport Express, the taxi rank and rideshare.
How much is a car from BER airport to central Berlin?
A fixed Elly8.net transfer from Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) to Mitte costs from US$150 in a business sedan, US$195 in a business SUV, US$265 in a First Class Sedan and US$390 in an Executive Sprinter. Prices are per vehicle and include the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Tolls and parking are billed at cost.
Mitte is the reference point, covering the hotels around Unter den Linden, Gendarmenmarkt, Potsdamer Platz and Friedrichstrasse, and the same fares serve most central addresses including Tiergarten and Kreuzberg. A round trip from BER costs from US$285 in a business sedan, US$375 in a business SUV and US$745 in a Sprinter.
BER is in Schönefeld, south-east of the city, about 27 km (17 mi) from Mitte by road and roughly 33 minutes on a clear road. The A113 and the city motorway slow down at rush hour, and central Berlin's roadworks and event closures add time. The fare stays fixed.
Berlin Brandenburg Airport: Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and where you are met
| Trip | Distance | Clear-road drive | Business Sedan | Business SUV | First Class Sedan | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| BER to Mitte | 27 km / 17 mi | about 33 min | US$150 | US$195 | US$265 | US$390 |
| BER round trip | 27 km / 17 mi each way | about 33 min each way | US$285 | US$375 | US$505 | US$745 |
| By the hour, as directed | 3-hour minimum | - | US$85/hr | US$110/hr | US$140/hr | US$170/hr |
BER has two terminals within walking distance of each other, according to Berlin Brandenburg Airport. Terminal 1 is the main building, with the arrivals hall and baggage claim on level E0 and the railway station beneath it; Terminal 2 is next door, with its own check-in and baggage claim on level E0. Your airline decides which you use.
Give us the flight number at booking. The chauffeur tracks the landing and waits in the arrivals area of your terminal with a name board once you have cleared passport control and collected your bags. Waiting after a tracked landing is complimentary, so a slow passport queue or a late bag does not cost extra. For departures, tell us the airline and the chauffeur sets you down at the right terminal. See airport transfers and meet and greet.
For business aviation arrivals at BER, book private jet and FBO transfers and give the desk the handler's name.
Airport Express, S-Bahn, taxi or a pre-booked chauffeur
Berlin's rail link to the airport is good. According to BER's public transport page, the Airport Express (FEX) runs between the airport and Hauptbahnhof in about 23 minutes, with stops at Potsdamer Platz (about 19 minutes) and Südkreuz (about 14 minutes), every 15 minutes from 4:00 to 1:00; S-Bahn lines S9 and S85 also run every 20 minutes. BER is in fare zone C, so a trip to the centre needs an ABC ticket, and BVG prices a single ABC ticket at €5.00. Licensed taxis wait at the North and South ranks in front of Terminal 1 on level E0 and charge by the meter.
| Option | Price | Time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Airport Express (FEX) to Hauptbahnhof | ABC single ticket €5.00 per person | About 23 min, every 15 min | Solo travellers with light bags near Hauptbahnhof or Potsdamer Platz |
| S-Bahn S9 or S85 | ABC single ticket €5.00 per person | Every 20 min, many stops | Travellers heading to east and central Berlin on a budget |
| Taxi from the Terminal 1 ranks | Metered fare | Same roads as any car | Spontaneous trips with no booking |
| Elly8.net business sedan | US$150 fixed, per vehicle | Door to door, about 33 min clear road | Families, executives, late arrivals, fixed budgets |
| Elly8.net Executive Sprinter | US$390 fixed, per vehicle | Door to door | Groups, fair teams, film and festival crews |
The fair verdict: for one traveller with a carry-on staying near Hauptbahnhof or Potsdamer Platz, the FEX is fast and cheap and is what the desk would suggest. Berlin is large and spread out, though, and most hotels are not on the line; a change to the U-Bahn or a walk with cases after a transatlantic night flight is where the train loses its shine. Taxis from the rank are reliable, without a fixed total.
A pre-booked chauffeur makes sense for families with child seats, groups of four or more with luggage, executives going straight to the government quarter or a meeting at the Messe, and anyone arriving late in the evening. See chauffeur vs taxi, chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft and Uber Black vs a pre-booked chauffeur.
The government quarter and the Reichstag
Berlin is Germany's capital, and much of its chauffeured traffic serves ministries, embassies, associations and the parliament. The Bundestag sits in the Reichstag Building beside the Brandenburg Gate, with the Chancellery and the parliamentary offices along the Spree. The dome and roof terrace of the Reichstag are open to the public free of charge, but, according to the German Bundestag, advance registration is required; register first, then book the car for your slot.
State visits and large demonstrations close roads around the government quarter at short notice. The chauffeur follows police instructions and the desk adjusts routes; Elly8.net provides transport, not security services. For ministries, delegations and NGOs, see government and diplomatic transportation, usually an airport arrival, an hourly car held for the day from US$85 an hour (3-hour minimum) and an Executive Sprinter for a team. NDAs are available on request.
Hotel districts and the green-sticker zone
Mitte. Unter den Linden, Gendarmenmarkt, Museum Island and Friedrichstrasse hold many of the city's best-known hotels, along with embassies and ministries.
Potsdamer Platz and Tiergarten. Office towers, hotels and the Berlinale's main venue, next to the park and the embassy quarter.
Charlottenburg and the City West. The Kurfürstendamm, the KaDeWe department store on Tauentzienstrasse, and hotels close to the Messe grounds. Shoppers with bags are one of the best reasons to keep a car by the hour here.
Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain and Prenzlauer Berg. The creative districts, restaurants and nightlife; the Uber Arena concert venue is in Friedrichshain.
The environmental zone. Central Berlin inside the inner S-Bahn ring is an environmental zone (Umweltzone), and according to the Berlin Senate a green emissions sticker is required to drive in it. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer and carry the right sticker; if you are comparing a rental car, check this first. See chauffeur vs car rental.
Messe Berlin, the Berlinale and the year's big events
Messe Berlin, the exhibition grounds in Charlottenburg, is about 9.5 km (6 mi) west of Mitte, roughly 18 minutes on a clear road, and the venue for most of the city's large fairs. These are the dates published by organisers for the next editions after October 2026:
- Fruit Logistica, 3 to 5 February 2027. The fresh-produce trade fair at the Messe, per Fruit Logistica.
- The 77th Berlinale, 10 to 21 February 2027. The Berlin International Film Festival, with the European Film Market from 10 to 16 February, according to the Berlinale. Red-carpet nights around Potsdamer Platz, screenings across the city and February weather make a car by the hour the practical choice for guests and industry visitors. See film and production transportation.
- ITB Berlin, 16 to 18 March 2027. The travel industry's trade show at the Messe, per ITB Berlin, with evening receptions across Mitte and Charlottenburg.
- SuperReturn International, 7 to 11 June 2027. The private capital conference at the InterContinental Berlin, according to SuperReturn; back-to-back meetings between Tiergarten hotels suit an hourly booking.
- IFA Berlin, 3 to 7 September 2027. The consumer electronics and home appliance show at the Messe, per IFA, with heavy traffic around the grounds all week.
- GENERALI BERLIN-MARATHON, 26 September 2027. According to the organisers, the marathon runs under its new name for the first time; roads across the centre close for much of the day, so plan airport transfers around the course.
For football and stadium concerts, the Olympiastadion Berlin in the west of the city empties slowly after a full house. The evening out and event night package costs from US$425 in a business sedan to US$850 in a Sprinter, with the car waiting at an agreed point. See conference and trade show transportation, event transportation and sports event transportation.
The Potsdam day trip
The signature Berlin package is a 6-hour day to the Potsdam palaces, about 37 km (23 mi) south-west of Mitte by road. It costs from US$470 in a business sedan, US$610 in a business SUV, US$775 in a First Class Sedan, US$720 in a First Class SUV and US$940 in an Executive Sprinter, all-in. The day centres on Sanssouci Palace and its terraced park, run by the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation, and usually adds the New Palace, the Cecilienhof and Potsdam's Dutch Quarter. Book palace tickets ahead and send us the times; the chauffeur plans the day around them.
In the city, the private city highlights tour costs from US$340 in a business sedan to US$680 in a Sprinter, covering the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, Checkpoint Charlie, the East Side Gallery and Charlottenburg Palace. A full-day chauffeur from US$630 to US$1,255 suits Dresden or the Spreewald. visitBerlin lists what is on. See private city tours and car service by the hour.
Corporate travel and weddings
Berlin's mix of government, start-ups, media and associations means meeting days that cross the whole city. The corporate roadshow day costs from US$765 in a business sedan to US$1,530 in a Sprinter, with the car held between meetings in Mitte, Potsdamer Platz and the City West. A corporate account adds fixed BER fares, monthly invoicing and NDAs on request. Read more on corporate car service and investor roadshows.
Weddings at the city's historic venues and the lakeside estates around Potsdam usually pair a First Class Sedan with a Sprinter for guests; see wedding transportation. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley; the fleet page shows seats and luggage by class. Travel agents and hotels can book on account through travel agent accounts and hotel accounts.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a car from BER to Mitte?
A fixed Elly8.net transfer from BER to Mitte costs from US$150 in a business sedan, US$195 in a business SUV, US$240 in a First Class SUV, US$265 in a First Class Sedan and US$390 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. Where does the chauffeur meet me at BER?
In the arrivals area of your terminal, Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, holding a name board once you have cleared passport control and collected your bags. The chauffeur tracks your flight from the flight number you give at booking, so a change in landing time is handled automatically.
Is the Airport Express cheaper than a car?
Yes, for one person. The FEX reaches Hauptbahnhof in about 23 minutes and an ABC single ticket costs €5.00. For two or more travellers with luggage, or a hotel away from the line, a fixed US$150 car door to door is often the easier arrival.
How long is the Potsdam day trip?
The package is a 6-hour day and costs from US$470 in a business sedan to US$940 in an Executive Sprinter. Potsdam is about 37 km (23 mi) from Mitte by road. Book palace tickets first and send us the times.
Can you handle Berlinale or ITB schedules?
Yes. An hourly car from US$85 an hour with a 3-hour minimum keeps you moving between screenings, stands, receptions and hotels, and Executive Sprinters carry teams. The 2027 Berlinale runs from 10 to 21 February and ITB Berlin from 16 to 18 March; book early for both.
Are child seats available?
Yes. Ask for child or booster seats when you book and give the children's ages, and the partner fits them before pickup. A Business SUV or Executive Sprinter fits seats, a stroller and luggage in one vehicle.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation more than 72 hours before pickup. At 72 hours or less a 10% fee applies, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. Refunds return to the original card.
Do you offer corporate accounts in Berlin?
Yes. Corporate accounts include fixed BER fares, roadshow and fair days, monthly invoicing and NDAs on request. The same account books Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg and our other cities across Europe and North America.
