A party bus is the simplest way to keep a group together for a night: one pickup, one vehicle, one driver who waits outside every stop, and nobody deciding who drives home. Elly8.net books party buses with a professional driver in 141 cities across the USA, Canada and Europe, and prices them online in the web booker for your exact addresses, date and hours.
Party buses are not on our fixed city price lists, because the vehicles vary more than any other class and a five-hour Saturday in July is a different job from a two-hour Tuesday transfer. What is on the price list is the closest alternative, the 12-seat Executive Sprinter, at a fixed hourly rate with a three-hour minimum. Many groups find the Sprinter is the better fit. This page explains both, honestly.
How much does it cost to rent a party bus?
On Elly8.net a party bus is priced in the web booker for your route, date and hours, with the driver, taxes and standard gratuity included. The fixed-price alternative is a 12-seat Executive Sprinter: US$170 an hour in Barcelona or Rome, US$190 in Las Vegas or Nashville, US$210 in New York and US$220 in Toronto, three-hour minimum.
Party bus prices depend on four things: the size of the bus, the day of the week, the number of hours, and how far the bus travels before and after your booking. That is why the booker asks for every address. The number it shows is the number you pay, all-in, with tolls and parking billed at cost.
For the Sprinter, the city price lists give you exact figures before you start:
| City | Executive Sprinter by the hour (3-hour minimum) | 5-hour evening block, Sprinter | 5-hour evening block, Business SUV |
|---|---|---|---|
| Las Vegas | US$190 | US$950 | US$600 |
| Nashville | US$190 | US$950 | US$600 |
| New York City | US$210 | US$1,050 | US$675 |
| Chicago | US$200 | US$1,000 | US$625 |
| Miami | US$200 | US$1,000 | US$625 |
| Los Angeles | US$210 | US$1,050 | US$675 |
| Toronto | US$220 | US$1,100 | US$700 |
| Napa Valley | US$200 | US$1,000 | US$625 |
Twelve people sharing a five-hour Sprinter night in Las Vegas pay about US$79 each, gratuity included.
Party bus, Sprinter or stretch SUV: which one?
Choose by group size, by what the group wants to do inside the vehicle, and by the rules where you are going.
Party bus. The party bus class on our fleet page seats up to 12, with perimeter seating, lighting and a sound system; larger buses exist in many cities and the desk will tell you what partners can offer for your date. It suits groups that want the vehicle itself to be part of the night: birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties, graduation celebrations.
Executive Sprinter. Up to 12 seats, forward-facing, a high roof, luggage space and a calmer cabin. It suits concerts, games, brewery or winery tours, airport runs for a group and corporate evenings. It is on fixed city price lists, so you know the price before you call anyone.
Stretch SUV limousine. Up to 16 passengers, low limousine seating and the classic look. Priced in the web booker. See black car vs limousine for the trade-offs.
Two SUVs. For 8 to 12 people who will split up during the night, two Business SUVs (up to 6 each) give you flexibility the bus cannot.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Best for | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|---|
| Party Bus | up to 12 on our fleet page; larger on request | birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette nights | web booker |
| Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | concerts, games, tours, group transfers | city price list and booker |
| Stretch SUV Limousine | up to 16 | big celebrations with the limo look | web booker |
| Business SUV | up to 6 | smaller groups, or two vehicles that split up | city price list and booker |
| Stretch Limousine | up to 8 | proms, weddings, a night out | web booker |
Alcohol, safety and the rules on board
This is the question every group asks, and the honest answer is that it depends on where you are. Laws on alcohol in vehicles differ by state, province and country, and often by the type of vehicle and the licence the operator holds. Some places allow passengers of legal drinking age to drink in certain licensed vehicles; others do not allow open alcohol at all. The driver follows local rules, and the booking follows the driver.
What does not vary:
- Nobody under the legal drinking age drinks on board. For proms and student groups, book a no-alcohol vehicle; see prom limousine.
- Passengers stay seated while the vehicle moves, and the driver decides when it is safe to stop.
- The driver can end the trip if the group puts the vehicle or other road users at risk.
- Damage and cleaning beyond normal use may be charged at cost by the operator.
Licensing is also local. In New York City the Taxi and Limousine Commission licenses for-hire drivers, bases and vehicles. In California, passenger carriers, including party bus operators, operate under authority from the California Public Utilities Commission. Buses used for interstate trips in the United States carry a USDOT number that anyone can check on the federal FMCSA SAFER Company Snapshot. Outside Toronto and the GTA, where rides run on the Elly8 fleet and chauffeurs, Elly8.net rides are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.
Where groups book party buses and Sprinters most
Las Vegas. The Strip, the clubs, a show and a late dinner, all in one night, with the driver waiting at each door. Groups arriving together also book a Sprinter from Harry Reid International (LAS) to the Strip, from US$325 one way. See Las Vegas limo service.
Nashville. Bachelorette weekends on Broadway and in the Gulch, with honky-tonk stops and a dinner reservation. The BNA airport run to downtown is from US$325 in an Executive Sprinter, and the five-hour evening block is US$950. See Nashville car service.
Wine country. A party bus is fun until the first winery asks how many people are in the group. For tasting days, a Sprinter with a planned list of appointments is the practical choice; see wine tours by chauffeured car and Napa Valley.
Concerts and games. A group heading to a stadium concert needs a vehicle that can wait out the post-show traffic and find the group at a pre-agreed meeting point. Read concert transportation and sports event transportation.
Toronto and the GTA. Birthdays and graduation parties in Toronto, Mississauga and Hamilton are run by the Elly8 fleet, which makes multi-vehicle nights straightforward to plan with us.
Miami. South Beach nights and birthday dinners; a Sprinter from MIA to Miami Beach is from US$470 one way, and the five-hour evening block is US$1,000. See Miami limo service.
Planning the night: a sample itinerary
Groups that plan the route in advance get more night for their money. The driver needs the order of stops, and every venue on the list needs to know a group of twelve is coming. A typical five-hour Saturday looks like this:
- 7:00 p.m. Pickup at the hotel or one home. If friends live across the city, meet at one address; each extra suburban pickup adds 10 to 15 minutes.
- 7:30 p.m. Dinner reservation for the whole group. The driver waits nearby and returns on a call.
- 9:30 p.m. A show, a concert or the first bar. Agree a meeting point outside, because venue fronts are busy at closing.
- 11:00 p.m. A second stop, or a photo loop past the skyline.
- 12:00 a.m. Drop-offs, in an order agreed before the night started.
Five hours goes quickly. If the dinner booking is late or the show runs long, add an hour when you book rather than on the night; time beyond the booked block is billed at cost, and it is easier for the operator to plan a six-hour job than to extend at midnight. Bachelor and bachelorette weekends often book two vehicles: an Executive Sprinter for the airport arrival with luggage, and the party bus for the big night.
Party bus vs rideshare, taxis or driving yourselves
Rideshare and taxis split the group into three or four cars, each arriving at a different time, at surge prices exactly when a hundred other groups leave the same venue. For two or three friends going to one place, that is fine and often cheaper. For twelve people moving between four stops, the group spends half the night waiting on the curb.
Renting a van and driving leaves one person sober and responsible all night,. It is rarely the saving it looks like once fuel, parking and insurance are counted.
A party bus or Sprinter with a driver keeps the group together, waits at every stop, and costs one fixed price shared between everyone. See chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft and chauffeur vs car rental for the full numbers.
| Option | Group of 12, five hours, four stops | Waits at each stop | Price known in advance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Party bus with driver (Elly8.net) | one vehicle, priced in the booker | yes | yes, all-in |
| Executive Sprinter (Elly8.net) | one vehicle, from US$950 to US$1,100 for five hours | yes | yes, all-in |
| Rideshare XL | two or more cars per leg, when available | no | no, surge pricing |
| Rented van | one vehicle, one sober driver, parking and insurance on you | yes | partly |
How booking works
- Enter the first pickup and every stop, or choose "by the hour". Add the date and start time; Saturday evenings book first.
- Choose the vehicle: party bus or stretch SUV in the web booker, or an Executive Sprinter or SUV from the city price list.
- Reserve now and pay by card. The confirmation arrives by email and the driver's details follow before the night.
Event planners and venues booking buses for guests can open a travel-agent account or a hotel account, and companies running staff parties use corporate accounts with monthly invoicing. For bigger events with several vehicles, see group transportation.
Cancellation is the same for every booking: more than 72 hours before pickup, free; 72 hours or less, 10%; 48 hours or less, 50%; 24 hours or less, or a no-show, 100%. Refunds go to the original card.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a party bus for 4 hours?
A party bus is priced in the Elly8.net web booker for your date, addresses and hours, all-in with the driver, taxes and standard gratuity. For a fixed figure in advance, a 12-seat Executive Sprinter for four hours is US$760 in Las Vegas or Nashville, US$840 in New York or Los Angeles and US$880 in Toronto.
Can we drink on a party bus?
It depends on local law and the operator's licence, which differ by state, province and country and by vehicle type. The driver follows local rules. Nobody under the legal drinking age may drink on board, and no-alcohol bookings are the rule for proms and student groups.
How many people fit on a party bus?
The party bus class on our fleet page seats up to 12, a stretch SUV limousine up to 16 and an Executive Sprinter up to 12. Larger buses are available from partners in many cities; enter your group size in the web booker or ask the 24/7 desk what is available for your date.
Is the driver's tip included?
Yes. Every Elly8.net price includes the driver or chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes and a standard gratuity. Tolls, parking and time beyond the booked hours are billed at cost. Cleaning or damage beyond normal use may be charged by the operator at cost.
Can the party bus pick up from several homes?
Yes. Add every pickup in order when you book by the hour, and the time between stops counts toward your hours. For pickups spread across a large city, it is often cheaper to meet at one or two addresses, which also gets the night started sooner.
How far ahead should we book a party bus?
For Friday and Saturday nights, and for graduation and holiday season, book as early as you can; party buses are the scarcest class in most cities. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup, so you can hold the bus while the group confirms numbers.
Is a Sprinter cheaper than a party bus?
Often, and its price is fixed on the city price list before you book. A Sprinter is calmer inside, with forward-facing seats and luggage space, which suits concerts, tours and group transfers. A party bus suits groups that want lighting, music and perimeter seating as part of the night.
Do you rent party buses without a driver?
No. Every Elly8.net vehicle comes with a licensed professional driver or chauffeur, and the price includes them. That is the point: nobody in the group has to drive, park or stay sober, and the vehicle waits for the group at every stop on the plan.
