The 115th Session of the International Labour Conference meets in Geneva in June 2027. The International Labour Organization lists the session for June 2027, and the exact dates are published by the ILO; the 114th Session ran from 1 to 12 June 2026. The Conference meets every year and brings together tripartite delegations, government, employer and worker representatives, from the ILO's 187 Member States, along with ministers, advisers and observers.
The agenda of the 115th Session includes the draft Programme and Budget for 2028-29, a first standard-setting discussion on consolidating the instruments on chemical hazards, a recurrent discussion on social security, and a general discussion on harnessing technology for productivity and decent work. Technical items like these run in committees alongside the plenary, which is why delegations move between buildings all day.
Elly8.net books the ground transport for those two weeks: tracked pickups at Geneva Airport (GVA), cars by the hour that wait between the Palais des Nations, ILO headquarters and the hotels, and late pickups when committees sit into the evening. Every price is fixed and all-in, and the 24/7 desk handles the changes that a two-week conference always brings.
What is the transport challenge at the International Labour Conference?
The Conference is spread across several buildings in the international district, parking at the Palais des Nations is restricted, and committee sittings can run late. Delegates need a reliable way between GVA, hotels on both sides of the border, the Palais and ILO headquarters, often several times a day, plus a car that is ready when a sitting ends.
At the 2026 session, the Conference used the Palais des Nations, ILO headquarters on the Route des Morillons and the Centre International de Conférences Genève (CICG). The ILO's practical information for the 114th Session described a shuttle bus running at frequent intervals between the ILO and the Palais des Nations, and between the ILO and the CICG, from 7:00 a.m. until the end of the committees' sittings. It also asked delegates to leave their cars in the ILO car park because of parking restrictions at the Palais, and referred permanent missions to a note verbale on vehicle access and temporary passes for mission drivers.
That shuttle is the right tool for moving between buildings during the day. A chauffeur fills the gaps around it: the arrival from GVA with bags, the morning run from a hotel on the lakefront or in France, the lunch meeting in town, the evening reception at a mission, and the late return after a drafting session.
The geography: the international district, the airport and the hotels
Everything at the Conference happens in a small area. By road, the Palais des Nations, ILO headquarters and the World Health Organization's building on Avenue Appia sit within about 1.6 km (1 mi) of one another, and the Palais is about 6 km (4 mi) from GVA. The lakefront hotels on the right bank are about 3.4 km (2 mi) from the Palais. Short distances do not mean short journeys at the morning peak, when the roads into the international district carry delegates, staff and commuters at the same time.
| From | To | Distance by road | Elly8.net price on the list |
|---|---|---|---|
| Geneva Airport (GVA) | Palais des Nations | about 6 km (4 mi) | GVA to the lakefront from US$125 |
| Geneva Airport (GVA) | ILO headquarters | about 6 km (4 mi) | by the hour from US$100 an hour |
| Lakefront hotels | Palais des Nations | about 3.4 km (2 mi) | by the hour from US$100 an hour |
| Lakefront hotels | ILO headquarters | about 4.8 km (3 mi) | by the hour from US$100 an hour |
| Palais des Nations | ILO headquarters | about 1.6 km (1 mi) | shuttle at the 2026 session, or your hourly car |
The fixed airport fares on the Geneva page are priced to the lakefront. For a hotel elsewhere, a mission address or a hotel across the border in France, enter it in the web booker for a fixed quote, or book the car by the hour, which is how most delegations work.
Arriving at Geneva Airport: Swiss side or French side
The chauffeur tracks the flight and meets you inside arrivals with a name board, and waiting after a tracked landing is complimentary. GVA straddles the border with France, and passengers can leave on the Swiss side or through the France Sector, so tell the desk which side you will exit, especially if your delegation is staying in France. The ILO's practical information covers visas for both Switzerland and France.
A fixed transfer from GVA to the lakefront runs from US$125 in a business sedan, US$165 in a Business SUV and US$220 in a First Class Sedan to US$325 in an Executive Sprinter. A round trip booked together, so the departure is already assigned before you land, runs from US$240 to US$620. See Geneva airport transfers and meet and greet. Ministers and employer delegates flying privately can give the desk the operator and tail number; see private jet and FBO transfers.
The plan for the Conference fortnight
Hourly cars for heads of delegation. A head of delegation or a minister attending for a few days rarely has a predictable schedule: plenary in the Palais, a group meeting at ILO headquarters, a bilateral at a mission, a lunch in town. A car by the hour stays with you between them. In Geneva the hourly service runs from US$100 an hour in a business sedan, US$125 in a Business SUV, US$150 in a First Class SUV and US$160 in a First Class Sedan, to US$200 an hour in an Executive Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum. See hourly chauffeur service.
Full days and long days. For a delegation with back-to-back commitments, the full-day chauffeur (8 hours) runs from US$740 in a business sedan to US$1,475 in an Executive Sprinter, and the corporate roadshow day (10 hours) from US$900 to US$1,800, all-in per vehicle. Book each day as its own reservation so each has its own confirmation and chauffeur details, and ask for the same chauffeur across the fortnight.
Late sittings. Committees and drafting groups do not always finish on time. The ILO noted in 2026 that pedestrians could leave the Palais des Nations through the Pregny Gate and the Peace Gate 24 hours a day, with the Peace Gate giving more direct access to the tram and bus stops at the Place des Nations. Tell the desk which gate you will use and the chauffeur waits at an agreed point outside it.
Sprinters for delegations. A tripartite delegation travelling together, with advisers and documents, fits in one Executive Sprinter, which means one car at each building and one schedule. See Sprinter van with driver and conference transportation.
Evenings. For a reception, a working dinner or a night out after the sitting, the evening out and event night package covers the evening and the drive home, from US$500 in a business sedan to US$1,000 in an Executive Sprinter.
Access, accreditation and what a chauffeur does not do
Access to the Conference buildings is a matter for the ILO, the United Nations Office at Geneva and the Swiss authorities. Badges, credentials and vehicle passes follow their procedures; in 2026 the ILO also said that, because of security measures at the Palais des Nations, visitors could not be accommodated on the premises during the session. Our chauffeurs drop off and collect where the rules allow, and never attempt to enter a restricted area.
Elly8.net is a chauffeured car service, not a security company. We do not provide armoured vehicles, protective drivers or escorts. We do sign NDAs on request, send chauffeur and vehicle details in advance for any list that needs them, and keep the same chauffeur wherever the schedule allows. Chauffeurs do not discuss passengers, delegations or anything said in the car. See government, diplomatic and delegation transportation.
Rides in Geneva are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley.
Elly8.net vs train, tram, taxi and the Conference shuttle
Geneva's public options are excellent, and for many delegates they are enough. According to Genève Aéroport, the railway station under the terminal reaches the city centre in 7 minutes with up to seven trains an hour at peak times, and from there Geneva Public Transport (TPG) trams and buses serve the Place des Nations. The airport's official taxis charge flat fares, including CHF 35 to the international organisations, CHF 50 to the right-bank city centre and CHF 60 to the left bank, according to the airport's taxi page.
| Option | Price | Best for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Train from GVA plus tram | Public transport fare | One delegate, light bag, hotel near Cornavin | Changes with luggage and documents |
| Conference shuttle (2026 session) | Provided for participants | Moving between the ILO, the Palais and the CICG | Runs between Conference sites only |
| GVA taxi | CHF 35 flat to the international organisations | A single trip on arrival | The rank can queue at peak arrival times |
| Ride-hailing app | Dynamic | Short off-peak hops, where available | No waiting, new driver each time |
| Elly8.net business sedan | From US$125 from GVA; US$100 an hour | Heads of delegation, ministers, late sittings, hotels in France | Book ahead; tolls and parking at cost |
Fairly put: one delegate with a carry-on staying near Cornavin should take the train and the tram, and use the shuttle between buildings. A pre-booked chauffeur wins when a minister lands with a team and bags, when the hotel is across the border, when the day has four venues in it, when a sitting runs past the last convenient tram, or when a delegation wants one fixed price and one contact. See chauffeur vs taxi and chauffeur vs airport shuttle.
How to book for the Conference
- Enter each pickup and drop-off, with the flight number for arrivals and the side of GVA you will exit. Use the fixed prices on the Geneva page for airport runs to the lakefront, and the web booker for missions, French-side hotels and multi-stop days.
- Choose the vehicle: Business Sedan, Business SUV, First Class Sedan, First Class SUV or Executive Sprinter.
- Select Reserve now and pay by card in US dollars, or book on account. Confirmation arrives by email, and chauffeur details follow before pickup.
Conference weeks book out early in Geneva, so reserve as soon as your delegation's dates are confirmed. Prices on the list do not change for the event; tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. Ministries, employer and worker organisations with several travellers can open a corporate account for monthly invoicing and one contact, and travel agents booking delegations can use a travel agent account.
Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup; 10% at 72 hours or less; 50% at 48 hours or less; 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. Refunds go to the original card.

After the Conference
Delegates who stay on often head for the mountains or the lakes. The signature Geneva day trip, eight hours to Chamonix and Mont Blanc, runs from US$740 in a business sedan to US$1,475 in an Executive Sprinter. The same desk books Zurich airport transfers, Lake Como car service, the Nice chauffeur service and Courchevel transfers, and city to city car service for long drives between them.
Frequently asked questions
When is the 115th International Labour Conference?
The ILO lists the 115th Session for June 2027 in Geneva, and the exact dates are published by the ILO. The Conference normally meets in June; the 114th Session ran from 1 to 12 June 2026. Book your cars as soon as your delegation's travel dates are fixed.
Which buildings does the Conference use?
The 2026 session used the Palais des Nations, ILO headquarters on the Route des Morillons and the CICG, with a shuttle bus linking them. The ILO published venues and access maps for the 2026 session, and we plan drop-offs and pickups around whatever it publishes for 2027.
How much is a car from Geneva Airport to the Palais des Nations?
The Palais is about 6 km (4 mi) from GVA. Fixed fares on the price list run from GVA to the lakefront, from US$125 in a business sedan to US$325 in an Executive Sprinter. For the Palais, ILO headquarters or a mission, use the web booker for a fixed quote, or book by the hour from US$100 an hour.
Can the chauffeur drive into the Palais des Nations?
Vehicle access is controlled by the United Nations and the ILO; in 2026 missions received a note verbale on vehicle access and temporary passes for mission drivers. Without such a pass, the chauffeur drops you and collects you outside, at a gate you agree with the desk.
What if a committee sitting runs late?
Book the car by the hour and it waits. In 2026 the ILO said pedestrians could leave the Palais through the Pregny Gate and the Peace Gate at any hour, so the chauffeur meets you at an agreed point outside the gate you choose. Message the desk when the sitting ends.
Can we keep the same chauffeur for two weeks?
Yes. Book each day by the hour or as a full-day or roadshow package and ask for the same chauffeur across the bookings. The desk keeps continuity wherever the schedule allows, and NDAs are available on request for delegations and ministers.
What is the cancellation policy?
More than 72 hours before pickup, cancellation is free; 72 hours or less costs 10%; 48 hours or less, 50%; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100%. Refunds go to the original card. Delegation schedules change, so book early and adjust as soon as plans move.
