Chicago limo service on Elly8.net is priced before you land: a business sedan from O'Hare (ORD) to the Loop or the Magnificent Mile starts at US$215 all-in, and a Midway (MDW) pickup starts at US$160. That figure covers the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet, and it does not change when the Kennedy is backed up from the Junction to Ohio Street or when a snow squall pushes every app into surge.
Rides in Chicago are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. You get one confirmation, one price and one number to call, whether the job is a single O'Hare arrival, a week of McCormick Place show days for a sales team, or a Saturday at Lake Geneva.
How much is a car service from O'Hare to downtown Chicago?
A pre-booked car from O'Hare (ORD) to the Loop or the Magnificent Mile costs from US$215 in a business sedan to US$560 in an Executive Sprinter on Elly8.net, fixed and all-in. The road distance is about 22 mi (35 km), roughly 56 minutes on a clear road and longer at weekday rush hour.
From Midway the same downtown run is shorter, about 13 mi (21 km) and roughly 28 minutes on a clear road, and the price follows: from US$160 in a business sedan, US$210 in a business SUV and US$420 in an Executive Sprinter. Round trips are priced together, from US$410 for O'Hare and from US$305 for Midway in a business sedan.
The clear-road times are the floor, not the forecast. For a weekday departure from River North to O'Hare between 3 pm and 7 pm, our desk schedules the pickup with a generous buffer for the Kennedy Expressway, and we do the same for game nights and big McCormick Place move-out days. The fare stays fixed either way; tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost.
O'Hare International Airport (ORD): terminals and where your chauffeur meets you
O'Hare has four passenger terminals: Terminals 1, 2 and 3 in the core, and Terminal 5 for most international arrivals. There is no Terminal 4. When you book an O'Hare airport transfer, add your flight number and we track it, so a delayed United or American arrival moves the pickup automatically.
Your chauffeur meets you inside, in the baggage claim area, with a name board. The Chicago Department of Aviation describes exactly this for pre-arranged limousine services: the driver meets arriving passengers in baggage claim, helps with luggage, and walks you to the vehicle in the designated livery parking directly across from the terminal, typically a 5 to 7 minute walk (flychicago.com). That is a different place from the app pickups: rideshare loading zones at Terminals 2 and 3 are on the upper level at marked poles, so a pre-booked chauffeur saves you the hunt for the right pole number with a cart of bags.
On an international arrival at Terminal 5, allow for customs and immigration. Complimentary waiting starts after a tracked landing, and the chauffeur stays in touch through the desk, so there is no need to rush through the hall. Families can ask for child seats at booking, and groups arriving together can be met by one Sprinter instead of three cars. Our airport meet and greet page explains the arrivals routine step by step.
| Route | Business Sedan | Business SUV | First Class Sedan | Executive Sprinter | Clear-road drive |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ORD to the Loop / Magnificent Mile | US$215 | US$280 | US$380 | US$560 | about 56 min, 22 mi (35 km) |
| ORD round trip | US$410 | US$535 | US$725 | US$1,065 | two legs |

The First Class SUV runs US$345 from O'Hare and US$260 from Midway. All prices are per vehicle, not per person.
Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW)
Midway is the compact one: a single terminal building on the Southwest Side, about half the distance of O'Hare from downtown. It is the natural choice for anyone staying in the South Loop, Hyde Park or near McCormick Place, where Midway is often the faster airport.
Pre-arranged cars at Midway work the same way as at O'Hare: the chauffeur waits in the baggage claim area and walks you to the livery parking, which the airport also puts at a 5 to 7 minute walk (flychicago.com). Rideshare pickups are lettered zones on the lower level centre lane, and city taxis load at the lower level inner lane. Book a Midway car service with your flight number and the desk handles the timing.
CTA Blue Line, Orange Line, taxi or rideshare: which is right for you?
Chicago has genuinely good airport trains, and we would rather you use them when they fit. The CTA Blue Line runs 24 hours a day from O'Hare through downtown, with a normal travel time of 40 to 45 minutes, and the Orange Line runs from Midway to the Loop in 20 to 25 minutes (transitchicago.com). A regular L ride is US$2.50, but a trip that starts at O'Hare costs US$5 (CTA fares).
Taxis load at the lower level curb outside baggage claim at every O'Hare terminal and run on the meter. The airport puts the average O'Hare to downtown taxi fare at about US$50, and Midway to downtown at US$35 to US$40, with Chicago taxi fare rates updated from July 1, 2026. Rideshare prices move with demand, and the app sets the price when you request, not when you book your flight.
| Option | Typical price to downtown | Time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| CTA Blue Line from O'Hare | US$5 per person | 40-45 min on the train | One traveller, light bag, any hour |
| CTA Orange Line from Midway | US$2.50 per person | 20-25 min on the train | Solo trips to the Loop |
| Taxi from O'Hare | about US$50 average, metered | traffic-dependent | Short notice, one or two people |
| Taxi from Midway | about US$35-40 average, metered | traffic-dependent | Short notice |
| Rideshare (Uber, Lyft, Uber Black) | set by the app at request time, surge applies | traffic-dependent | Flexible plans, off-peak |
| Elly8.net business sedan from ORD | from US$215, fixed, all-in | about 56 min clear road | Late flights, meetings, bags, fixed budget |
| Elly8.net Executive Sprinter from ORD | US$560 per vehicle | about 56 min clear road | Groups and teams with luggage |
Be honest with yourself about the trip. One person with a carry-on landing at 2 pm and heading to a Loop hotel two blocks from a Blue Line stop does not need us. Four colleagues with checked bags, a 7 am pitch on Wacker Drive, a family with two car seats, or anyone landing at midnight in January is a different calculation, and that is where a fixed price and a chauffeur in baggage claim win. Our Uber Black vs a pre-booked chauffeur and chauffeur vs taxi pages go deeper.
The Loop, the Magnificent Mile, River North and the hotel districts
Most of our Chicago drop-offs fall in a tight grid. The Loop holds the financial district along LaSalle Street, the office towers and law firms along Wacker Drive, and Union Station for Amtrak connections. North of the river, the Magnificent Mile on Michigan Avenue and the Gold Coast hold most of the luxury hotels, and River North and Fulton Market hold the restaurants, galleries and the newer tech and consulting offices.
Hotel driveways matter in Chicago. Many Michigan Avenue properties have tight motor courts or side-street entrances, and Lower Wacker Drive is its own world of loading docks and turns. Our partner chauffeurs know which entrance a hotel prefers for luggage pickups, and the desk notes the door you choose when you book. For days with several stops, an hourly chauffeur at US$100 to US$200 an hour, with a 3-hour minimum, keeps one car with you between meetings.
McCormick Place and the shows that fill Chicago
McCormick Place on the Near South Side bills itself as North America's largest convention center (mccormickplace.com), and when a big show is in town the whole city feels it: hotel rates jump, shuttle lines grow, and the taxi and app queues outside the halls get long at closing time.
The shows that drive the most demand for pre-booked cars are predictable. The RSNA annual meeting of radiologists runs November 29 to December 3, 2026 (rsna.org). The Chicago Auto Show is set for February 13 to 21, 2027 at McCormick Place. The National Restaurant Association Show follows on May 22 to 25, 2027 (nationalrestaurantshow.com). Exhibitors, speakers and buyers booking for these dates should reserve early, because partner capacity is the first thing to go.
For exhibitors we can run morning drops at the right hall entrance, a chauffeur on standby through set-up, and evening transfers to client dinners in the West Loop. Our conference and trade show transportation page covers multi-day schedules, and a corporate account puts every ride for the team on one monthly invoice.
Game nights, concerts and Chicago's big events
Chicago's major-league venues are spread across town, and every venue has its own traffic pattern. The United Center on the Near West Side hosts the Bulls and Blackhawks and most arena tours. Soldier Field on the lakefront is home to the Bears, and Wrigley Field in Lakeview fills the surrounding streets with Cubs fans and neighbourhood closures on game days. For any of them, a sports event car service means a set drop-off, a confirmed pickup point after the final whistle, and no waiting for surge pricing to ease.
The calendar has two other fixed points. Lollapalooza takes over Grant Park each summer; the 2026 edition ran July 30 to August 2, and the festival announces future dates on lollapalooza.com. Downtown streets around Grant Park close or reroute during the festival, so we plan pickups at agreed points a few blocks away. The Bank of America Chicago Marathon is scheduled for October 10, 2027 (chicagomarathon.com), and race morning closes much of the Loop, Lincoln Park and the South Side course. If you are flying in for either, book the airport leg and the event-day car together.
For galas, award dinners and private events, the Evening out and event night package runs from US$500 in a business sedan to US$1,000 in an Executive Sprinter. Our event transportation page explains how we stage cars for arrivals and departures at hotel ballrooms and museums.
Corporate travel, roadshows and business days
Chicago is a roadshow city: asset managers along Wacker, private equity in the Loop, and corporate headquarters spread from Fulton Market to the western suburbs near O'Hare. The Corporate roadshow day is priced from US$900 in a business sedan to US$1,800 in an Executive Sprinter, and the Full-day chauffeur from US$740 to US$1,475. Both keep one chauffeur with your delegation for the day, waiting curbside between meetings and adjusting when a meeting runs long.
We work with executive assistants and travel managers on detailed itineraries, NDAs on request, and monthly invoicing through a corporate account. Our roadshow chauffeur and corporate car service pages explain the format. Private aviation passengers using the fixed-base operators at O'Hare or Midway can book an FBO car service with the tail number instead of a flight number.
Weddings, proms and nights out
Chicago weddings tend to move: ceremony in a Gold Coast church or a North Shore venue, photos along the lakefront, reception in a West Loop loft or a downtown hotel ballroom. A sedan for the couple and a Sprinter for the wedding party is a common combination, and the desk can build a timeline with every stop. See our wedding limousine page for how we plan it.
For birthdays, anniversaries and dinners in River North or the West Loop, the Evening out package keeps a car and chauffeur with you for the night. The chauffeur follows local rules on everything inside the vehicle, so plan the celebration around the venues, not the ride.
Private tours and the Lake Geneva day trip
The Private city highlights tour runs from US$400 in a business sedan to US$800 in an Executive Sprinter, built around what you want to see: the lakefront and Museum Campus, the architecture of the Loop, Wrigleyville, Hyde Park, or the neighbourhoods north along DuSable Lake Shore Drive. Choose Chicago, the city's tourism board, is a good place to plan the stops.
The signature day trip is Lake Geneva, Wisconsin: a 10-hour package priced from US$920 in a business sedan to US$1,840 in an Executive Sprinter. The drive is about 74 mi (119 km) each way, roughly an hour and three quarters on a clear road, which leaves most of the day for the Geneva Lake Shore Path, lunch on the water, a spa or a round of golf (visitlakegeneva.com). It is a favourite for anniversaries, small corporate offsites and families who want a day out of the city without anyone driving home.
Milwaukee, Indianapolis and city-to-city trips from Chicago
Plenty of Chicago trips leave Illinois. Milwaukee is about 92 mi (149 km) from the Loop, and many Wisconsin travellers fly through O'Hare, so a car service between Milwaukee and O'Hare is a regular booking. We also cover Indianapolis, Detroit, St. Louis, Louisville and Cincinnati as their own Elly8.net cities. For one-way runs between them, enter both addresses in the web booker or see the city-to-city car service page.
How booking a Chicago car works
Booking takes about two minutes, and you see the full price before you pay.
- Enter the pickup and drop-off. For airport pickups, add your flight number so we can track the landing; for a hotel, add the entrance if you have a preference.
- Choose the vehicle: business sedan, business SUV, First Class sedan or SUV, or an Executive Sprinter for groups. Our fleet page shows what fits how many people and bags. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley.
- Press Reserve now on any fixed price in the panel, or use the web booker for any other address. Confirmation arrives by email, with the chauffeur's details closer to the pickup.
Changes and cancellations follow one simple policy: more than 72 hours before pickup is free; 72 hours or less is 10%; 48 hours or less is 50%; 24 hours or less, or a no-show, is 100%. Refunds go back to the original card. The full wording is on our cancellation policy page.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a limo from O'Hare to downtown Chicago?
A pre-booked business sedan from O'Hare to the Loop or the Magnificent Mile is US$215, a business SUV US$280, a First Class sedan US$380, a First Class SUV US$345 and an Executive Sprinter US$560. Prices are per vehicle, fixed and all-in, including the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Tolls, parking and extra waiting are billed at cost.
Where will my chauffeur meet me at O'Hare or Midway?
Inside, in the baggage claim area of your terminal, holding a name board. After you collect your bags, the chauffeur walks you to the designated livery parking across from the terminal, which the airport puts at a 5 to 7 minute walk. At Terminal 5, allow time for customs; your flight is tracked and waiting starts after landing.
Is the CTA Blue Line cheaper than a car service from O'Hare?
Yes. A Blue Line trip starting at O'Hare costs US$5 per person and takes about 40 to 45 minutes to downtown, around the clock. For one traveller with light luggage it is hard to beat. A fixed-price car makes more sense for groups, heavy bags, late arrivals, child seats or a meeting straight from the airport.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Every airport pickup is flight-tracked, so your chauffeur adjusts to the actual landing time without you calling. Complimentary waiting applies after a tracked landing. If you miss a connection or are rebooked onto a different flight, message the 24/7 desk with the new flight number and we move the booking.
Do you provide child seats in Chicago?
Yes, on request. Add the number of seats and the children's ages when you book, and the partner chauffeur will have them installed before the pickup. If you prefer to bring your own seat, tell the desk and the chauffeur will allow time to fit it at the curb.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations more than 72 hours before pickup are free. Within 72 hours, the charge is 10%; within 48 hours, 50%; and within 24 hours or for a no-show, 100% of the fare. Refunds go back to the card used to book. Changes to time or address are handled by the desk and are often possible at no cost.
Can you move a group to McCormick Place every day of a show?
Yes. We plan daily runs from your hotels to the right hall entrance, standby cars during the show, and evening transfers, with Executive Sprinters for larger teams. For the busiest shows, such as the Chicago Auto Show or RSNA, book as early as you can, because partner capacity fills first.
Can my company get a corporate account in Chicago?
Yes. A corporate account gives your travellers and assistants one place to book, saved profiles and flight details, and monthly invoicing across every Elly8.net city. NDAs are available on request for confidential travel. Apply through the corporate accounts page and the desk will set up your Chicago travellers.
