Limo bus rental in Minneapolis for a wedding usually means one of three vehicles: a party-style limo bus for the wedding party, a 12-seat Executive Sprinter for the wedding party or a guest loop, or a stretch SUV limousine for up to 16 who want the classic arrival. On Elly8.net the Sprinter is on the fixed Minneapolis price list at US$190 an hour with a 3-hour minimum, or US$1,400 for a full day; limo buses and stretch SUVs are priced for your date in the web booker.
Choosing the vehicle is the easy part. The planning that prevents surprises is the timeline, the head count for each leg of the day, the access at each venue and a weather plan, which in Minnesota is not optional. This guide covers all of it, with prices, a sample schedule and the questions to settle before you sign. Rides in Minneapolis are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.
What size limo bus do you need for a wedding?
Count each leg of the day separately. For a wedding party of up to 12, one Executive Sprinter or a 12-seat party bus fits everyone with belts; a stretch SUV limousine seats up to 16. For guests, size the shuttle to the largest single run, not the total guest list, and add a second vehicle for peak times.
A wedding is several trips, not one. The bridal party to the ceremony, the couple from the ceremony, everyone to photos, guests from the hotel to the venue and back again late at night: each has its own head count and timing. Write them down before you choose a vehicle.

The vehicles, and which job each does best
Seating and bags are from our fleet page.
| Vehicle | Seats | Best wedding job | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business Sedan or First Class Sedan | up to 3 | The couple's getaway, parents of the couple | US$95 or US$155 an hour, 3-hour minimum |
| Business SUV / First Class SUV | up to 6 | Bridesmaids with dresses, grandparents, a small party | US$120 or US$145 an hour |
| Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | Wedding party, guest shuttle loops | US$190 an hour, or US$1,400 full day |
| Party bus (limo bus) | up to 12 on our fleet page, larger on request | Wedding party celebration between venues | web booker, for your date |
| Stretch SUV limousine | up to 16 | A big wedding party wanting the limo arrival | web booker |
| Stretch limousine | up to 8 | The classic photo with the couple | web booker |
| Rolls-Royce | up to 2 | The couple's arrival | web booker |
The Sprinter is the workhorse: forward-facing seats, a high roof that is kind to dresses and suits, room for bags and a step that is easier for older guests than the low entry of a stretch limousine. A party-style limo bus suits a wedding party that wants the ride between ceremony and reception to be part of the celebration. Our wedding limousine and guest shuttles page explains both in every city.
What a Minneapolis wedding costs to move
Prices are per vehicle and all-in: chauffeur, taxes and standard gratuity included. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost.
| Plan | Vehicles | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Couple only, ceremony to reception | First Class sedan, 3-hour minimum | US$465 | Enough for photos and the transfer |
| Wedding party of 10, ceremony, photos, reception | Executive Sprinter, 5 hours | US$950 | Evening out & event night package |
| Couple plus wedding party, full day | First Class sedan and Sprinter, full day | US$2,545 | US$1,145 plus US$1,400 |
| Guest shuttle, hotel to venue and back | One Sprinter, full day | US$1,400 | Loops of up to 12 per run |
| Large guest list | Two Sprinters, full day | US$2,800 | Runs every few minutes at peak times |
For a limo bus or stretch SUV limousine, enter the plan in the web booker for a fixed price for your date. Compare the total with the Sprinter plan above, and remember the per-guest maths: a Sprinter full day shared by a wedding party of twelve is about US$117 each.
Building the timeline
A working wedding timeline is built backwards from the ceremony and forwards from the last dance. Here is a sample for a Saturday in June, with a downtown hotel, a church ceremony, photos by the river and a reception at a venue on Lake Minnetonka.
- 12:30 pm Sprinter collects the wedding party at the hotel.
- 1:15 pm Arrive at the ceremony venue; allow time for the group photo outside.
- 2:00 pm Ceremony.
- 3:00 pm Couple leaves in the First Class sedan; wedding party follows in the Sprinter to photos.
- 3:20 pm Photos at the Stone Arch Bridge or the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.
- 4:30 pm Depart for the reception. Wayzata is about 13 mi (21 km) from downtown, roughly 20 minutes on a clear road; plan 35 to 45 minutes on a summer Saturday.
- 5:30 pm Cocktail hour; the sedan stays for the couple's later exit, or returns at an agreed time.
- 11:00 pm Guest shuttle runs back to the hotel begin; the Sprinter loops until the last guests are home.
Add 15 minutes of slack between every step. Photographers run long, and a wedding party of twelve does not board in two minutes.
Photo stops and venue access
The Twin Cities have some well-loved backdrops. The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden holds more than 60 sculptures across 11 acres, including Spoonbridge and Cherry (walkerart.org), and the Stone Arch Bridge over the Mississippi is a classic river shot (minneapolisparks.org). The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board also lists wedding and ceremony sites you can reserve, so check its rules for photography and groups before you plan a stop.
Venue access is where surprises happen. Before you book, ask each venue:
- Can a 12-seat Sprinter or a limo bus use the driveway, and where can it wait?
- Is there a low bridge, a tight turn or a height limit on the approach?
- Where is the covered entrance, if there is one?
- Is there a set time when vehicles must leave the site?
Send the answers to the desk with the booking. A Stillwater venue on the St. Croix, about 26 mi (42 km) and roughly 37 minutes from downtown, is a different drive from a downtown hotel ballroom, and the chauffeur will plan for both.
The weather plan
Minnesota weddings need a plan B for the transport as much as for the ceremony.
- Summer storms. Have an indoor photo location ready, and tell the chauffeur in advance so the switch does not cost time.
- Winter weddings. From December to March, build in extra time for every leg, choose vehicles with easy entry, and ask the chauffeur to stop at covered entrances. Guests in dress shoes on ice appreciate a door-to-door shuttle more than anyone.
- Busy summer Saturdays. Lake and river venues share roads with weekend traffic heading out of the city; leave earlier than you think.
Questions to ask before you sign
- What exact vehicle, how many belted seats, and how old is it? Partner vehicles booked through Elly8.net are four model years old or newer, seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley.
- Is the operator permitted? Minnesota requires a state permit and a vehicle decal for for-hire limousine service (revisor.mn.gov).
- What are the start and end times, the minimum and the overtime terms?
- Is the total all-in, including gratuity?
- What are the rules for decorations, food and drinks on board? The chauffeur follows Minnesota's rules and the operator's policy; plan the toast for the venue.
- What is the backup if a vehicle breaks down?
- What is the cancellation policy? Ours: free more than 72 hours before pickup; 72 hours or less 10%; 48 hours or less 50%; 24 hours or less or a no-show 100%, refunded to the original card.
Our Minneapolis limo rental prices guide covers quote lines and the state permit in more detail.
The rehearsal dinner and the day after
The wedding day gets the attention, but the evenings either side often need cars too. A rehearsal dinner in the North Loop or St. Paul suits the 3-hour minimum: a Sprinter for the wedding party at US$570, or a business SUV for close family at US$360. The morning after, guests head to MSP at different times, and individual airport transfers from US$150 in a sedan are easier to manage than holding one large vehicle all morning.
If you are using a planner, give them the desk's contact so changes go through one person. One point of contact, one schedule and one confirmation email for every vehicle is what keeps a three-day wedding calm. The Sprinter van with driver page shows the cabin layout if guests ask what to expect, and Meet Minneapolis lists hotels and venues across the city for out-of-town families.
Couples marrying elsewhere in the Midwest can book the same way in Milwaukee and Chicago, each with its own fixed price list.
Guests flying in
Out-of-town guests often land the day before. MSP to downtown Minneapolis is a fixed US$150 in a business sedan or US$390 in an Executive Sprinter, the same in either direction, with flight tracking and meet and greet inside the terminal; our MSP car service guide explains the pickup. For a group block, one Sprinter can collect several flights with a plan agreed in advance. Wedding planners booking often can open a travel agent account, and hotels can open a hotel account.
How to book without surprises
- Send the desk the full timeline: every pickup, every stop, every head count.
- Choose the vehicles: sedan, SUV and Sprinter on the fixed list, or a limo bus, stretch limousine or Rolls-Royce priced in the booker.
- Pay with Reserve now or in the booker. Confirmation arrives by email; a week before the wedding, confirm the final schedule and the chauffeur contacts.
Every Minneapolis price is on the Minneapolis limo service page, and our group transportation page covers larger guest movements.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a limo bus for a Minneapolis wedding?
Limo buses are priced in the web booker for your date, route and hours, all-in. The fixed-price alternative is the 12-seat Executive Sprinter: US$190 an hour with a 3-hour minimum, US$950 for a 5-hour evening, or US$1,400 for a full day, about US$117 per person for a party of twelve.
How many hours should we book for the wedding party?
Five hours covers most ceremony-photos-reception plans; a full day suits weddings with an early hotel pickup, a long photo session or a late shuttle home. Build the timeline first, add 15 minutes between each step, and book the length you need rather than the minimum.
Do we need a separate guest shuttle?
If many guests are staying at one hotel and the venue is a drive away, yes. A Sprinter on a full day can loop between hotel and venue with up to 12 per run. Size the shuttle to the busiest run, usually the late trip home, and add a second vehicle if more than about 24 guests need it.
What happens if it snows on our wedding day?
The fixed price does not change, but every leg takes longer. We build extra time into the schedule, the chauffeur uses covered entrances where possible, and the desk stays in touch on the day. For winter dates, plan the timeline with a buffer from the start.
Can the limo bus wait during the reception?
Yes, on an hourly or full-day booking the vehicle and chauffeur stay with you for the booked time, including the reception. If you only need the vehicle at the start and end of the evening, the desk can quote two separate runs instead, which may cost less.
Is alcohol allowed on the limo bus?
Rules depend on Minnesota law, the vehicle type and the operator's own policy, so check before you plan anything. The chauffeur follows those rules. Nobody under 21 drinks on board, and the simplest plan is to keep the toast for the venue.
