An Elly8.net Calgary airport to Banff car service is a private sedan, SUV or Sprinter that meets you inside arrivals at Calgary International Airport (YYC) and drives you west on the Trans-Canada Highway to your hotel in the town of Banff, at a fixed, all-in price. The one-way fare runs from US$370 in a Business Sedan to US$965 in an Executive Sprinter, with the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet included. All Elly8.net prices on this page are in US dollars.
Banff bookings are airport transfers at the start and end of a mountain stay, then days out to Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, the ski hills and the hot springs. Rides in Banff are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.
How much is a private car from Calgary airport to Banff?
An Elly8.net private car from YYC to the town of Banff costs US$370 in a Business Sedan, US$485 in a Business SUV, US$650 in a First Class Sedan, US$595 in a First Class SUV and US$965 in an Executive Sprinter. The round trip starts at US$705. Prices are fixed, all-in and per vehicle, not per person.
The town of Banff is about 135 km (84 mi) from YYC, roughly 1 hour 55 minutes on a clear road. The route runs across Calgary to the Trans-Canada Highway, west past Canmore and into Banff National Park. Snow, a holiday weekend or a collision closure can stretch the drive, and the fixed price stays the same.

Arriving at YYC for Banff: where your chauffeur meets you
YYC has a domestic and an international terminal. The chauffeur tracks your flight, waits inside arrivals with a name board and walks you to the car, so you do not need to find a coach bay or a rideshare door. Complimentary waiting starts after a tracked landing, which covers a slow customs hall on a winter Saturday. Send your flight number when you book. See airport transfers and airport meet and greet.
Tell the desk what is travelling with you. Skis, snowboards, hiking packs and child seats change which vehicle works: a Business SUV suits a couple or small family with skis, and an Executive Sprinter carries a larger group with its gear inside. The fleet guide lists seats and luggage space. A grocery stop in Canmore on the way in is easy to add if you mention it at booking.
The national park pass and the drive in
Banff is inside a national park, and everyone who stops in the park needs a pass. Parks Canada's Banff fees page lists a daily adult pass at C$12.25, a senior pass at C$10.75 and a family or group pass at C$24.50 for up to seven people arriving in one vehicle, with youth 17 and under free. An annual Parks Canada Discovery Pass is C$83.50 for an adult or C$167.50 for a family or group. Park fees are in Canadian dollars and are not included in Elly8.net prices; buy passes online before you travel.
Parks Canada's driving page sets a 90 km/h (56 mph) maximum on major routes and warns that wildlife may be on or near any park road, especially at dawn and dusk. Snow tires or chains are required by law on the Icefields Parkway (Highway 93N) and the Banff-Windermere Highway (Highway 93S) in Banff National Park from November 1 to March 31, or whenever those roads are snow- or ice-covered, and on the Trans-Canada through Yoho National Park from October 1 to April 30. The desk checks 511 Alberta before mountain departures in poor weather.
Airport coach, rental car or a private car
Banff and Lake Louise Tourism puts YYC about 90 minutes from Banff National Park and notes shuttle connections from the airport to Banff and Lake Louise. Here is the honest comparison.
| Option | Price | Time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scheduled airport coach | per seat, set by each operator | longer than a private car, with timetabled stops | Solo travellers with light bags |
| Rental car | daily rate, plus fuel, park pass and parking | about 1 h 55 min on a clear road, you drive | Travellers who want a car all week |
| Elly8.net Business SUV | US$485 fixed, all-in, per vehicle | about 1 h 55 min, door to door | Couples and families with skis |
| Elly8.net Executive Sprinter | US$965 fixed, all-in, per vehicle | about 1 h 55 min, door to door | Groups with gear, weddings, corporate retreats |
Airport coaches. The airport's transportation to Banff list names several coach and shuttle operators running from YYC to Banff. For one person with a single bag they are usually the cheapest option, but they run to a timetable and drop at set stops.
Rental car. A rental gives freedom during your stay, but you drive a mountain highway after a long flight, pay for parking in town and at the lakes, and still cannot drive to Moraine Lake (see below). The town of Banff is walkable, and Roam Transit links it with Canmore and Lake Louise.
A private car wins for families with child seats and skis, groups who would otherwise buy several coach seats, late flights after the last coach, and anyone who wants to go from the arrivals hall to the hotel door. Because the price is per vehicle, four people in a Business SUV pay one fare between them. See chauffeur vs shared airport shuttle and chauffeur vs renting a car.
Lake Louise and Moraine Lake: the access rules we verified
This is the part of a Banff trip that changed most in recent years, so here is exactly what Parks Canada's Lake Louise and Moraine Lake page says for 2026.
Moraine Lake. Moraine Lake Road is closed to personal vehicles year-round. Parks Canada says access is only permitted for Parks Canada shuttles, licensed commercial operators with a Moraine Lake Road Licence of Occupation, and registered guests of Moraine Lake Lodge. A chauffeured car can only drive up the road if its operator holds that licence. We do not assume that it does, so Elly8.net plans Moraine Lake visits around the Parks Canada shuttle, and the chauffeur does not drive you to the Moraine Lake shoreline.
Lake Louise. Personal vehicles can still drive to the Lake Louise Lakeshore, but Parks Canada advises against it because the lot often fills before sunrise. Paid parking applies there during the shuttle season; the fees page lists C$42.00 per vehicle from May 15 to October 12, 2026.
The shuttles. In 2026 the Parks Canada shuttles ran from the Lake Louise Park and Ride at the Lake Louise Ski Resort (1 Whitehorn Road): to Lake Louise Lakeshore from May 15 to October 12, to Moraine Lake from June 1 to October 12 (weather permitting), every 30 minutes from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the last return at 7:30 p.m. A Lake Connector shuttle runs between the two lakes, and an Alpine Start service leaves Lake Louise Lakeshore at 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Reservations are required, open in April, and include both lakes, the Lake Connector and the return to the Park and Ride. You must check in at the Park and Ride kiosk during your one-hour window. The fees page lists the adult fare at C$12.75, plus a C$3.50 online reservation fee, and the shuttle ticket does not include the park pass.
Roam Transit. Roam Transit Route 8X runs year-round between Banff and Lake Louise, at C$12.50 for an adult single ride, in about 1 hour 20 minutes.
Moraine Lake is a backcountry location with no cell service, running water or lighting; Parks Canada says reception returns about 5 km back down the road. Agree a meeting time with your chauffeur before you board the shuttle.
How our Lake Louise and Moraine Lake day works
The 8-hour Lake Louise and Moraine Lake package is priced from US$810 in a Business Sedan, US$1,035 in a Business SUV and US$1,325 in a First Class Sedan to US$1,620 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. In the shuttle season the day usually runs like this:
- Book your shuttle seats first on the Parks Canada reservation system and send the desk your departure window.
- The chauffeur picks you up in Banff and drives the 45 minutes to the Lake Louise Park and Ride, timed to your check-in window.
- You ride the Parks Canada shuttle to Moraine Lake and Lake Louise, using the Lake Connector between them.
- The chauffeur collects you at the Park and Ride when you come back, and the afternoon can include lunch in Lake Louise village or a slower drive back to Banff.
Outside the shuttle season there is no Parks Canada shuttle to Moraine Lake, and the day becomes Lake Louise and the village, with the frozen lake and winter walks in the colder months. Tell the desk your dates and it confirms which version applies. Our private city tours page explains how stops and timing are agreed.
The town of Banff, the gondola and the hot springs
The town of Banff is small and walkable, centred on Banff Avenue, with hotels along the avenue, on Tunnel Mountain and at the Fairmont Banff Springs above the Bow River. Cars stop at hotel entrances rather than on the busiest blocks, so the chauffeur confirms the exact drop-off when the pickup is set.
The private city highlights tour, priced from US$440 in a Business Sedan to US$880 in an Executive Sprinter, can combine the Banff Gondola on Sulphur Mountain, the Banff Upper Hot Springs, the Fairmont Banff Springs and the Banff Avenue shops in a few relaxed hours. Parks Canada lists hot springs admission at C$19.75 for an adult. An hourly chauffeur, from US$110 per hour in a Business Sedan to US$220 per hour in an Executive Sprinter with a 3-hour minimum, suits a day that moves between Banff, Canmore and the lakes at your own pace.
Ski season, the film festival and events
Banff has three ski areas within the national park: Mt Norquay above town, Sunshine Village to the west and the Lake Louise Ski Resort. Ski-day transfers from Banff hotels to any of the three, and YYC transfers with ski bags, are quoted in the web booker. In winter, a Business SUV or an Executive Sprinter is the usual choice.
The Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival runs from October 31 to November 8, 2026, one of the busiest weeks of the autumn in town. The evening out and event night package, priced from US$550 in a Business Sedan to US$1,100 in an Executive Sprinter, covers a dinner reservation, a screening or a special occasion with a set pickup. The chauffeur follows local rules on alcohol, and there is no drinking in the vehicle.
Weddings and corporate retreats in the Rockies
Mountain weddings in Banff and Lake Louise often bring guests in through YYC across a day or two, with ceremonies at hotels or viewpoints and receptions in town. A First Class Sedan for the couple and an Executive Sprinter for guests is a common plan; see wedding limousine and guest shuttles and group transportation.
Corporate retreats and incentive groups follow a similar pattern: staggered YYC arrivals, a few days of meetings and activities, then departures. The corporate roadshow day is priced from US$990 in a Business Sedan to US$1,980 in an Executive Sprinter, and a full-day chauffeur from US$810 to US$1,620. A corporate account adds monthly invoicing, saved traveller profiles and NDAs on request; see corporate car service.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a private car from Calgary airport to Banff?
An Elly8.net Business Sedan from YYC to the town of Banff is US$370, a Business SUV US$485, a First Class Sedan US$650, a First Class SUV US$595 and an Executive Sprinter US$965. The round trip starts at US$705. Prices are per vehicle, fixed and all-in, covering the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Park passes, parking and extra waiting are not included.
Can a private car or limo drive to Moraine Lake?
Not unless the operator holds a licence. Parks Canada says Moraine Lake Road is closed to personal vehicles year-round, and access is only permitted for Parks Canada shuttles, licensed commercial operators with a Moraine Lake Road Licence of Occupation and registered Moraine Lake Lodge guests. Our day trip uses the Parks Canada shuttle from the Lake Louise Park and Ride for Moraine Lake.
Can you drive us to Lake Louise?
Yes. Vehicles can still reach the Lake Louise Lakeshore, though the lot often fills early and paid parking applies in the shuttle season, listed at C$42.00 per vehicle in 2026 and billed at cost. In the shuttle season the chauffeur usually drops you at the Park and Ride instead, so you can visit both lakes on one ticket.
Do I need a park pass?
Yes. Everyone stopping in Banff National Park needs a pass. Parks Canada lists a daily adult pass at C$12.25 and a family or group pass at C$24.50 for up to seven people in one vehicle, with youth 17 and under free. Buy passes online before the trip; they are not included in Elly8.net prices.
How long is the drive from YYC to Banff?
About 1 hour 55 minutes on a clear road for the 135 km (84 mi) trip. Snow, holiday traffic or a closure on the Trans-Canada can add time, and the fixed price stays the same. For departures, the desk sets the pickup with a buffer for the drive back to the airport.
Can I bring skis and snowboards?
Yes. Tell us how many ski or board bags are travelling when you book. A Business SUV usually suits a couple or small family with skis, and an Executive Sprinter carries a larger group with gear inside the vehicle. Ski-day transfers to Norquay, Sunshine or Lake Louise are quoted in the web booker.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes, on request. Add the number and ages of the children when booking and the chauffeur installs the seats before pickup. Mention ski bags and strollers at the same time, because seats and gear together decide which vehicle fits.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup. At 72 hours or less the charge is 10%, at 48 hours or less it is 50%, and at 24 hours or less or a no-show it is 100%. Refunds go to the original card. If your Parks Canada shuttle time changes, tell the desk so the pickup moves with it.
