A Vancouver limo service from Elly8.net is a pre-booked sedan, SUV or Sprinter with a fixed, all-in price agreed before you pay. From Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to downtown Vancouver the fare runs from US$110 in a Business Sedan to US$290 in an Executive Sprinter, with the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet included. All Elly8.net prices on this page are in US dollars.
Most Vancouver bookings are one of five trips: YVR arrivals and departures, Alaska cruise embarkation at Canada Place, convention and conference weeks on the Coal Harbour waterfront, nights out at Rogers Arena and BC Place, and the drive up the Sea-to-Sky Highway to Whistler. Rides in Vancouver are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.
How much is a car service from YVR to downtown Vancouver?
An Elly8.net car from YVR to downtown Vancouver costs US$110 in a Business Sedan, US$145 in a Business SUV, US$195 in a First Class Sedan, US$180 in a First Class SUV and US$290 in an Executive Sprinter. The round trip starts at US$210. Prices are fixed and all-in; tolls and parking are billed at cost.
YVR sits on Sea Island, about 14 km (9 mi) south of downtown, roughly 23 minutes on a clear road. The route crosses the north arm of the Fraser River and then runs up through the city, so the drive time depends on the afternoon peak and on event nights downtown. The fixed price is the point: it does not change if the bridge approach is slow.

Arriving at YVR: where your chauffeur meets you
YVR has separate domestic and international arrivals areas, plus the small South Terminal used by regional airlines. Flights from the United States and overseas arrive through the international side after Canadian customs, and the wait in the customs hall varies with how many wide-body flights land together.
With an Elly8.net booking you do not need to know which level the pickups use. The chauffeur tracks your flight, waits inside arrivals with a name board and walks you to the car. Complimentary waiting starts after a tracked landing, which covers a normal customs queue and baggage wait. Send your flight number when you book, and tell us if you are connecting from another airline so the desk watches the right arrival. Our airport meet and greet page explains what happens when a flight is diverted or very late.
For departures, give the chauffeur your airline and whether you are flying to the United States, within Canada or overseas, and the car drops you at the right departures door. If you are staying in Richmond near the airport, the drive is short; from the West End or Coal Harbour, allow for the run back over the bridge at the evening peak. The airport transfers page has general guidance on timing.
Canada Line, taxi, rideshare or a pre-booked car
Vancouver has a fast airport train, and for some travellers it is the right answer. Here is the honest comparison from YVR to downtown. Transit fares are in Canadian dollars; Elly8.net prices are in US dollars.
| Option | Price, YVR to downtown | Time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Canada Line (SkyTrain) | regular fare (C$3.50 one zone, C$5.10 two zones) plus the C$6.50 YVR AddFare | about 25 min to Waterfront, plus the walk to your hotel | One traveller, light bags, a hotel near a station |
| Taxi | check the posted rate at the taxi stand | 25-45 min | Two travellers at short notice |
| Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) | varies with demand | 25-45 min, plus the walk to the Level 2 pickup | Flexible, off-peak trips |
| Elly8.net Business Sedan | US$110 fixed, all-in | 25-45 min, door to door | Late flights, meetings, a guaranteed pickup |
| Elly8.net Executive Sprinter | US$290 fixed, all-in | 25-45 min, door to door | Groups, families and cruise passengers with luggage |
Canada Line. TransLink's visitor guide says the Canada Line links YVR with Waterfront Station downtown in about 25 minutes, and that trips from the airport toward downtown carry a C$6.50 AddFare on top of the regular fare. TransLink's fare table lists C$3.50 for one zone and C$5.10 for two zones by contactless or cash, and trips starting after 6:30 p.m. on weekdays, at weekends and on statutory holidays are charged as one zone. For one person with a carry-on staying near Waterfront, Vancouver City Centre or Yaletown-Roundhouse stations, the train is excellent value.
Taxi. Taxis serve both arrivals areas. We do not quote a taxi figure here because we could not confirm a current official rate; check the posted rate at the stand before you get in.
Rideshare. Uber and Lyft are the authorised ride-app providers at YVR, with pickups on Level 2 of the domestic and international arrivals areas. Prices move with demand, and late evenings when several long-haul flights land can be the most expensive time. Our Uber Black vs a pre-booked chauffeur guide explains how dynamic and fixed pricing compare.
A pre-booked chauffeur makes sense for groups with bags, families who need child seats, cruise passengers with a week of luggage, arrivals after midnight and business travellers going straight to a meeting. An Executive Sprinter at US$290 carries a group in one vehicle, which often costs less than two or three separate cars and keeps everyone together. See chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft for the wider comparison.
Downtown, Coal Harbour, Yaletown and the hotel districts
Most visitors stay on the downtown peninsula. Coal Harbour, along the waterfront west of Canada Place, has the convention hotels and the floatplane terminal. The central business district runs along Burrard, West Georgia and West Hastings. Yaletown, on False Creek near BC Place, mixes hotels, restaurants and residential towers, and the West End sits between downtown and Stanley Park.
Downtown streets are a grid with many one-way sections, and several hotels share driveways with office towers or have entrances on side streets. When the pickup is set, the chauffeur confirms the exact door, which matters on a wet evening. Gastown, at the east end of the waterfront, has cobbled streets and tight curbs, so the desk agrees a corner when a restaurant has no driveway.
Beyond the peninsula, Richmond near the airport has a cluster of airport hotels, Kitsilano and Point Grey sit across the Burrard Street Bridge on the way to the University of British Columbia, and the North Shore is reached over the Lions Gate or Ironworkers Memorial bridges. An hourly chauffeur, from US$110 per hour in a Business Sedan to US$220 per hour in an Executive Sprinter with a 3-hour minimum, suits days that cross all of these.
Canada Place and Alaska cruise days
Canada Place, on the downtown waterfront, holds the city's cruise ship terminal, and Vancouver is a homeport for Alaska cruises from spring to October. On a busy turnaround day several large ships embark and disembark within a few hours, and the approaches along Canada Place Way and Waterfront Road fill with coaches, taxis and private cars.
Three things help on embarkation day: send us the ship and sailing time, tell us how many bags are travelling, and let us know whether you are coming from YVR or a hotel. Transfers between YVR, downtown hotels and the cruise terminal are quoted in the Elly8.net web booker. For disembarkation, the chauffeur meets you at an agreed point outside the terminal once you have cleared, and a Business SUV or an Executive Sprinter is the usual choice for families with cruise luggage. Our cruise port transfers page covers timing and luggage.
Vancouver Convention Centre, Rogers Arena and BC Place
The Vancouver Convention Centre has two waterfront buildings, East and West, next to Canada Place. Its calendar includes the International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition from November 8 to 12, 2026 in the East Building and the Circle Craft Holiday Market from November 11 to 15, 2026 in the West Building. Web Summit Vancouver returns to the centre from May 25 to 28, 2027, one of the busiest weeks of the year for Coal Harbour hotels. A multi-day schedule or an hourly car keeps teams moving between hotel, halls and dinners; see conference and trade show transportation.
Rogers Arena is home to the Vancouver Canucks and the Vancouver Warriors and hosts major concerts. BC Place, a short walk away on False Creek, is home to the BC Lions and the Vancouver Whitecaps, and its calendar lists the CFL Western Semi-Final on October 31, 2026 and Metallica on May 8, 2027. The two venues sit side by side, so when both have events the streets around Pacific Boulevard and Expo Boulevard slow down for an hour either side.
The evening out and event night package is priced from US$550 in a Business Sedan to US$1,100 in an Executive Sprinter. The chauffeur drops you at the closest practical point, waits nearby and meets you at an agreed corner after the final whistle or encore. See sports event transportation and concert transportation.
The Sea-to-Sky Highway to Whistler: the signature day trip
The signature Vancouver day out is the Sea-to-Sky Highway, Highway 99, which runs north from Horseshoe Bay along Howe Sound, past Squamish and up to Whistler. The 10-hour package is priced from US$1,015 in a Business Sedan, US$1,290 in a Business SUV and US$1,660 in a First Class Sedan to US$2,025 in an Executive Sprinter, with one chauffeur and one vehicle for the whole day.
Tourism Whistler describes the drive from Vancouver as about two hours; from YVR it is closer to two and a half. A typical day stops at the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish for the view over Howe Sound, then continues to Whistler Village for lunch, the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola in season or a walk around the village, before the drive back in the late afternoon. If you would rather stay in the mountains, our Whistler car service page has one-way YVR to Whistler prices.
Winter matters on this road. The Province of British Columbia says drivers must obey winter tire and chain signs from October 1 to April 30, with the requirement ending on March 31 on some highways that are not mountain passes or high-snowfall areas; see the BC winter driving page. The Sea-to-Sky is signed for winter tires, so in season the vehicle must meet that rule. Conditions can change quickly between Squamish and Whistler, and the desk checks DriveBC before mountain departures.
North Shore, Stanley Park and the city highlights tour
The private city highlights tour is priced from US$440 in a Business Sedan to US$880 in an Executive Sprinter. A classic route takes in Stanley Park and its seawall viewpoints, then crosses the Lions Gate Bridge to the North Shore for the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park or the Skyride at Grouse Mountain, before coming back for Granville Island and Gastown. Bridge traffic is the main variable, so the chauffeur plans the order around the time of day. See private city tours for how the stops are set.
A full-day chauffeur, from US$810 in a Business Sedan to US$1,620 in an Executive Sprinter, is the better fit when the day is long and loose: a gallery morning, a lunch reservation, shopping on Robson Street and a dinner booking without having to plan each leg. Destination Vancouver lists current exhibitions and events.
Corporate travel and roadshows
Vancouver roadshows tend to move between downtown towers, offices in Burnaby or Richmond and a lunch on the waterfront, often around a flight out of YVR at the end of the day. The corporate roadshow day is priced from US$990 in a Business Sedan to US$1,980 in an Executive Sprinter, with one chauffeur and one vehicle for the whole programme. See investor roadshows and multi-meeting days.
A corporate account adds monthly invoicing, saved traveller profiles and NDAs on request. Assistants can book a multi-stop day in one reservation, and the desk keeps the plan when a meeting runs over. Our corporate car service page explains how accounts work, and private jet arrivals are covered on private jet and FBO car service.
Weddings, proms and nights out
Vancouver weddings use waterfront hotels, Stanley Park venues, North Shore estates and wineries in the Fraser Valley, often with guests spread across several hotels. A First Class Sedan for the couple and an Executive Sprinter for the wedding party is a common plan; see wedding limousine and guest shuttles. For graduation season, see prom limousine, and for larger groups, Sprinter van with driver. The chauffeur follows local rules on alcohol, and there is no drinking in the vehicle.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a car service from YVR to downtown Vancouver?
An Elly8.net Business Sedan from YVR to downtown Vancouver is US$110, a Business SUV US$145, a First Class Sedan US$195, a First Class SUV US$180 and an Executive Sprinter US$290. The round trip starts at US$210. Prices are fixed and all-in, covering the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Tolls, parking and extra waiting are billed at cost.
Where will my chauffeur meet me at YVR?
Inside arrivals, with a name board, on the domestic or international side depending on your flight. The chauffeur tracks the flight, so an early or late landing is covered, and complimentary waiting starts after a tracked landing. You receive the chauffeur's contact details before you fly, and the chauffeur walks you to the car.
Is the Canada Line cheaper than a car from YVR?
Yes, for one person. The Canada Line reaches Waterfront Station in about 25 minutes, and the fare is the regular TransLink fare plus the C$6.50 YVR AddFare. It is a good choice for a solo traveller with light luggage staying near a station. A pre-booked car makes more sense for groups, families with child seats, cruise passengers and late arrivals.
How do I get from YVR to the Canada Place cruise terminal?
Book a transfer to the cruise terminal and give us the ship and sailing time. Cruise terminal transfers are quoted in the web booker. The chauffeur meets you inside arrivals, loads the luggage and drops you at the terminal approach. On busy turnaround days several ships sail together, so allow a buffer before check-in closes.
How long is the drive from Vancouver to Whistler, and what does the day trip cost?
The drive on the Sea-to-Sky Highway takes about two hours from downtown Vancouver on a clear road. The 10-hour day trip is priced from US$1,015 in a Business Sedan to US$2,025 in an Executive Sprinter. From October to April, winter tire rules apply on the signed highway, and the desk checks road conditions before departure.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes, on request. Add the number and ages of the children when booking and the chauffeur installs the seats before pickup. Families with cruise or ski luggage usually choose a Business SUV or an Executive Sprinter for the extra space.
Can you take a group to a Canucks game or a concert?
Yes. An Executive Sprinter carries a group together, and the evening out and event night package, from US$550 in a Business Sedan to US$1,100 in an Executive Sprinter, includes a set drop-off and an agreed pickup point afterwards. When Rogers Arena and BC Place both have events, book early and allow extra time.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup. At 72 hours or less the charge is 10%, at 48 hours or less it is 50%, and at 24 hours or less or a no-show it is 100%. Refunds go to the original card. Contact the desk early if your flight or sailing changes.
