A Brussels airport transfer booked through Elly8.net is a private chauffeur at a fixed, all-in price agreed before you fly, charged to your card in US dollars. Brussels Airport (BRU) to the Grand-Place costs from US$115 in a business sedan to US$300 in an Executive Sprinter for a delegation, and the chauffeur tracks your flight and meets you in arrivals with your name.
Rides in Brussels are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. This page covers both airports, the European Quarter and the summit days that reshape its traffic, the low emission zone, Brussels Expo, the Bruges day trip, and a fair comparison with the train, the taxi and rideshare.
How much is a car from Brussels Airport to the city centre?
A fixed Elly8.net transfer from Brussels Airport (BRU) to the Grand-Place costs from US$115 in a business sedan, US$150 in a business SUV, US$205 in a First Class Sedan and US$300 in an Executive Sprinter. Prices are per vehicle and include the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Tolls and parking are billed at cost.
The Grand-Place is the reference point, but the same fares serve central Brussels addresses including the hotels around the Mont des Arts, Avenue Louise and the European Quarter around Schuman. A round trip from BRU costs from US$220 in a business sedan, US$285 in a business SUV and US$570 in a Sprinter.
BRU is in Zaventem, about 16 km (10 mi) north-east of the Grand-Place, roughly 24 minutes on a clear road. The Brussels ring and the E40 approach are among the busiest roads in Belgium at rush hour, and a weekday morning arrival can take considerably longer. The fare stays fixed.
Brussels Airport (BRU) and Charleroi (CRL)
| Airport | Distance to the Grand-Place | Clear-road drive | Business Sedan | First Class Sedan | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brussels Airport (BRU), one way | 16 km / 10 mi | about 24 min | US$115 | US$205 | US$300 |
| Brussels Airport, round trip | 16 km / 10 mi each way | about 24 min each way | US$220 | US$390 | US$570 |
| Brussels South Charleroi (CRL) | about 57 km / 35 mi | about 50 min | Quoted in the web booker | Quoted in the web booker | Quoted in the web booker |
Brussels Airport (BRU). Belgium's main airport handles the transatlantic flights from North America and most European business traffic. Give us your flight number at booking. The chauffeur tracks the landing and waits in the arrivals hall with a name board once you have cleared passport control and collected your bags; waiting after a tracked landing is complimentary, so a slow queue after a morning transatlantic bank costs you nothing. The car is parked a short walk away, and the chauffeur takes the luggage from there. See airport transfers and meet and greet.
Brussels South Charleroi (CRL). Charleroi is a secondary airport used mainly by low-cost European airlines. Brussels Airport itself notes that Charleroi is significantly further from Brussels and needs an extra bus transfer from the nearest railway station. By road it is about 57 km (35 mi) from the Grand-Place, roughly 50 minutes on a clear road. There is no published fare for Charleroi on this page; enter the flight and address in the web booker and you will see a fixed price before you pay. For travellers connecting from a transatlantic flight into a short hop from Charleroi, a car is often the only practical door-to-door option.
Train, taxi, rideshare or a pre-booked chauffeur
Brussels Airport has its own railway station, and for light travellers the train is good value. According to Brussels Airport, the station is directly beneath the departures and arrivals halls, six direct trains run every hour from early morning until around midnight, and journey times are about 11 minutes to Brussels-North, 18 minutes to Brussels-Central and 23 minutes to Brussels-South. Two trains an hour also link the airport with the European Quarter. Tickets usually include a Brussels Airport Supplement of €6.90 collected by the railway, and up to four children under 12 travel free with an adult.
| Option | Price | Time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Train to Brussels-Central | Rail fare including the €6.90 airport supplement | About 18 min, six trains an hour | Solo travellers with light bags near a station |
| Train to the European Quarter | Rail fare including the supplement | Two trains an hour | EU visitors with a carry-on, daytime |
| Taxi from the airport rank | Metered fare | Same roads as any car | Spontaneous trips with no booking |
| Rideshare | Varies with demand | Pickup where the airport allows it | Light travellers comfortable with apps |
| Elly8.net business sedan | US$115 fixed, per vehicle | Door to door, about 24 min clear road | Delegations, families, late flights, fixed budgets |
The fair view: one person with a small bag going to a hotel near Brussels-Central or the European Quarter will do well on the train, especially in the morning rush when roads are slow. The case for a car is the rest of the trip: a delegation of five with luggage and an agenda, a family with child seats, a late arrival after the last trains, or a meeting where you need to arrive on time and composed. A metered taxi from the rank is fine for a spontaneous trip, without a set price in advance. See chauffeur vs taxi and chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft.
The European Quarter and delegation travel
Brussels is where the European Union works day to day, and a large share of the city's chauffeured traffic serves it. The European Commission is headquartered at Rue de la Loi 200, the Berlaymont building at the Schuman roundabout, according to the European Commission. The European Parliament's Brussels buildings are a short drive away, and the Parliament's visitor service runs free visits to the Hemicycle, the Parlamentarium and the House of European History. The Council of the EU and the European Council also meet in the European Quarter.
Summit weeks change the map. The General Secretariat of the Council has published the dates envisaged for the next European Council meetings, including 17 and 18 December 2026, in an official note to delegations. On summit days and other high-level meetings, streets around the institutions can be closed or controlled, and access depends on accreditation and police instructions. The chauffeur follows those instructions and the desk plans routes and set-down points around published closures; Elly8.net provides transport, not security services.
For delegations, ministries, NGOs and law firms, a government and diplomatic transportation booking usually combines airport arrivals, an hourly car held for the day, and an Executive Sprinter for a team. Hourly rates start at US$85 in a business sedan, US$110 in a business SUV and US$170 in a Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum. NDAs are available on request, and corporate accounts invoice monthly.
The low emission zone
The whole Brussels-Capital Region is a low emission zone that applies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. According to LEZ Brussels, diesel cars, vans and buses must meet at least the Euro 6 standard, petrol vehicles at least Euro 3, and since 1 January 2026 Euro 5 diesel vehicles no longer qualify; the fine for a non-compliant vehicle is €350. If you are thinking of renting a car, check the rules first. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, which keeps them compliant; it is one more thing you do not have to think about. See also chauffeur vs car rental.
Hotel districts and business addresses
The Grand-Place and the Ilot Sacré. The historic square is pedestrianised, as are many of the lanes around it. visit.brussels covers the old centre; the chauffeur sets you down at the nearest street the car can reach.
Mont des Arts and Sablon. Hotels and galleries on the slope between the lower and upper town, a short walk from the Royal Palace and the museums.
Avenue Louise. The luxury shopping street and its hotels, south of the inner ring. Pickups are straightforward and the car can usually wait at the door.
The European Quarter. Hotels around Schuman serve the institutions. Plan for controlled access on summit days.
Brussels-Midi (South). International high-speed trains arrive here; book train station transfers to meet you on the platform side of the hall.
Brussels Expo, the Atomium and big events
Brussels Expo at Heysel, in the north of the city, hosts the largest trade fairs and consumer shows in Belgium in its palaces, next to the Atomium. On show days the access roads around Heysel are busy, and a car booked by the hour or with an agreed pickup time avoids the taxi queue at closing. See conference and trade show transportation.
Further afield, the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix runs from 23 to 25 July 2027 at Spa-Francorchamps, according to the Formula 1 calendar. The circuit is in the Ardennes about 146 km (91 mi) from the Grand-Place by road, with long walks from the car parks; a full-day chauffeur from US$630 in a business sedan to US$1,255 in a Sprinter is the comfortable way to do race day. See sports event transportation.
For gala dinners, concerts and the opera, the evening out and event night package costs from US$425 in a business sedan to US$850 in a Sprinter. More on event transportation.
The Bruges day trip
The signature Brussels package is an 8-hour day in Bruges, the medieval canal city about 100 km (62 mi) west of Brussels by road. It costs from US$630 in a business sedan, US$810 in a business SUV, US$1,035 in a First Class Sedan, US$960 in a First Class SUV and US$1,255 in an Executive Sprinter for a group, all-in. The historic centre limits through traffic, so the chauffeur sets you down at the edge of the old town and collects you at an agreed point. Visit Bruges lists museums, canal boats and opening hours.
Ghent and Antwerp work on the same day rate as a full-day chauffeur. In the city, the private city highlights tour costs from US$340 in a business sedan to US$680 in a Sprinter, from the Grand-Place to the Royal Palace and the Atomium. See private city tours.
Corporate travel and weddings
Beyond the institutions, Brussels is a city of associations, consultancies and law firms. The corporate roadshow day costs from US$765 in a business sedan to US$1,530 in a Sprinter, with the car held between meetings in the European Quarter, Avenue Louise and the airport business parks. Read more on corporate car service and investor roadshows. Weddings in the city and the châteaux of Brabant usually pair a First Class Sedan with a Sprinter for guests; see wedding transportation.
Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley. The fleet page shows seats and luggage by class. Travel agents and hotels can book on account through travel agent accounts and hotel accounts.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a car from Brussels Airport to the Grand-Place?
A fixed Elly8.net transfer from BRU to the Grand-Place costs from US$115 in a business sedan, US$150 in a business SUV, US$185 in a First Class SUV, US$205 in a First Class Sedan and US$300 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. It includes the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Tolls and parking are billed at cost.
Where does the chauffeur meet me at Brussels Airport?
In the arrivals hall, holding a name board, after you clear passport control and collect your bags. The chauffeur tracks your flight from the flight number given at booking, so an early or delayed landing is handled automatically, and then walks you to the car.
Do you cover Charleroi airport?
Yes. Brussels South Charleroi is about 57 km (35 mi) from the Grand-Place by road, roughly 50 minutes on a clear road. Enter your flight and destination in the web booker to see a fixed price before you pay; the chauffeur meets you in arrivals as at Brussels Airport.
Is the train from Brussels Airport a better option?
For one traveller with a light bag, often yes: six direct trains an hour reach Brussels-Central in about 18 minutes, with a €6.90 airport supplement usually included in the fare. For delegations, families and late arrivals with luggage, a fixed US$115 car door to door is usually simpler.
Can you get us to the European Quarter on a summit day?
Yes, within the limits set by the police. On European Council days, streets around the institutions can be closed or controlled. The chauffeur follows official instructions and the desk plans set-down points around published closures. Accreditation remains the delegate's responsibility.
Are child seats available?
Yes. Ask for child or booster seats when you book and give the children's ages, and the partner fits them before pickup. A Business SUV or Executive Sprinter fits seats, a stroller and luggage in one vehicle.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation more than 72 hours before pickup. At 72 hours or less a 10% fee applies, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. Refunds return to the original card.
Do you offer accounts for institutions and firms?
Yes. Corporate accounts include fixed BRU fares, hourly delegation days, monthly invoicing and NDAs on request. The same account books Amsterdam, Paris, London and our other cities, so a team travelling on from Brussels keeps one set of terms.
