An Oslo airport transfer booked through Elly8.net is a private chauffeur and vehicle at a fixed, all-in price, agreed before you fly and charged to your card in US dollars. Oslo Airport Gardermoen (OSL) to the city centre costs from US$265 in a business sedan to US$690 in an Executive Sprinter, and the same desk books hourly cars for the Nobel Peace Prize week, congress days at Oslo Spektrum and NOVA Spektrum, and evenings at the Opera House.
Rides in Oslo are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Gardermoen is about 52 km (33 mi) north of the city, almost every new car sold in Norway is electric, and the Oslo region charges tolls on every main road into the city. This page explains each of those, compares the car with the Flytoget airport express train and taxis, and covers the hotel districts, events and corporate travel.
How much is a car from Oslo Airport to the city?
A fixed Elly8.net transfer from Oslo Airport Gardermoen (OSL) to the city centre costs from US$265 in a business sedan, US$345 in a business SUV, US$425 in a First Class SUV and US$690 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. It includes the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Road tolls and parking are billed at cost.
The road distance is about 52 km (33 mi) and the drive takes about 47 minutes on a clear road along the E6. Weekday rush hours into the city can add time, but the fare is fixed. A First Class Sedan costs US$465. A round trip, booked together so the departure is settled before you land, costs from US$505 in a business sedan to US$1,315 in a Sprinter.
| Route | Distance | Clear-road drive | Business sedan | Business SUV | Executive Sprinter |

Oslo Airport Gardermoen: the meeting point
Gardermoen is Norway's main international airport. Most travellers from North America arrive on a direct flight or connect through Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London or another hub. Give us your flight number when you book: the chauffeur tracks the actual landing and waits in the international arrivals hall with a name board, and waiting after a tracked landing is complimentary. Passport control and baggage after a long flight take time, and the chauffeur waits through it.
If a connection is missed, message the 24/7 desk with the new flight and the pickup moves. Tell us about skis, golf bags, strollers or child seats in advance and the desk assigns a vehicle that fits. Read more about airport transfers and meet and greet. For private flights, give us the operator and tail number; see private jet and FBO transfers.
Flytoget, taxi, ride-hailing or a pre-booked chauffeur
The airport express train is the obvious alternative, and a very good one. Flytoget says it departs every 10 minutes from Oslo Airport and takes 19 minutes to the city centre. Its published fares list an adult ticket to Oslo S at NOK 276, and NOK 218 to Lillestrøm.
Taxis wait at the stand right outside the international arrivals hall. Avinor, the airport operator, notes that prices vary between operators and that taxi drivers are obliged to give an upfront price before the trip starts, and the taxi booking point at the airport shows prices to most addresses in Eastern Norway.
| Option | Price | Time to the centre | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flytoget airport express | NOK 276 per adult to Oslo S | 19 min, every 10 min | One or two travellers, hotels near Oslo S or Nationaltheatret |
| Taxi from the stand | Upfront price, varies by operator | about 47 min plus traffic | Short notice, no planning |
| Ride-hailing app | Dynamic, changes with demand | Pickup wait plus drive | Off-peak trips, where the app operates |
| Elly8.net business sedan | From US$265 per vehicle, fixed | about 47 min, door to door | Families, groups, Holmenkollen and Bygdøy addresses, fixed budgets |
The honest view: for one or two travellers with light bags, Flytoget is faster to central Oslo than any car and costs a fraction of the fare. If your hotel is by Oslo S or Nationaltheatret, take the train.
A pre-booked chauffeur wins when the group is larger, the luggage heavier or the address further from the line. Four adults on the train pay for four tickets and still need a car from the station; a family with suitcases and child seats, a delegation heading straight to a meeting, a late arrival in winter, or a hotel on the hillside at Holmenkollen are all easier door to door. An Executive Sprinter at US$690 carries a group of six with luggage. See chauffeur vs taxi, chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft and chauffeur vs airport shuttle.
Road tolls around Oslo
Oslo and the surrounding region charge a toll each time a vehicle passes one of the toll stations on the roads into and around the city. Fjellinjen, which collects the tolls in Greater Oslo, sets different prices by fuel type and time of day. For cars up to 3,500 kg, a passage outside rush hour costs NOK 38 for a petrol car or plug-in hybrid, NOK 42 for a diesel car and NOK 21 for an electric car, with higher prices in rush hour.
Tolls are billed at cost on top of the fixed fare, so an electric partner vehicle usually means a smaller toll line on the invoice. A single airport transfer passes a small number of stations; a full day of hourly service in and out of the centre passes more.
An electric city: what that means for your car
Norway's new-car market has switched almost entirely to electric. According to the Norwegian Road Federation (OFV), 98.81 percent of the 18,733 new passenger cars registered in Norway in September 2026 were electric, and electric cars now make up about 51 percent of all cars registered in Oslo.
For you, that has three practical effects. Many partner vehicles in Oslo are fully electric, which makes for a quiet ride and lower tolls. If you prefer a specific vehicle type, tell us when you book and the desk will note it. And for long days or out-of-town trips, the chauffeur plans charging stops into the route, which is one reason we quote longer journeys through the web booker rather than assuming a range. The vehicle classes are the same as everywhere on the network: Business Sedan, Business SUV, First Class Sedan, First Class SUV and Executive Sprinter. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley, all from licensed, commercially insured operators; see the fleet.
The Nobel Peace Prize in December
The Nobel Peace Prize is the only Nobel Prize presented in Oslo. According to the Nobel Prize organisation, the ceremonies take place every year on 10 December, the anniversary of Alfred Nobel's death, and the Peace Prize ceremony is held in Oslo City Hall, where the laureate receives the prize from the chair of the Norwegian Nobel Committee in the presence of the King of Norway. The official Nobel Peace Prize site states that the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize is awarded to Navanethem "Navi" Pillay.
The days around 10 December bring delegations, diplomats, guests and media to a small capital at once, with the city centre around City Hall and the harbour front at its busiest. Book hourly cars, airport transfers and evening service as early as you can. The evening out and event night package costs from US$475 in a business sedan to US$950 in an Executive Sprinter, and the hourly service covers a week of movements. We provide the car and chauffeur only; invitations and access to official events are arranged by the organisers. See government and diplomatic transportation and event transportation.
Where to stay: Sentrum, Aker Brygge, Bjørvika and Frogner
Sentrum and Karl Johans gate. The city centre, our reference point for fares, with the main street running from Oslo S to the Royal Palace, the Parliament and the large historic hotels.
Aker Brygge and Tjuvholmen. The western harbour front by City Hall, with waterfront hotels, restaurants and the Astrup Fearnley Museum.
Bjørvika. The eastern waterfront, home of the Oslo Opera House, whose sloping roof you can walk on, and MUNCH, the museum dedicated to Edvard Munch and The Scream.
Frogner and Majorstuen. Residential districts west of the centre around Frogner Park and the Vigeland sculptures, with embassies and boutique hotels.
Holmenkollen. The hillside above the city, about 9.5 km (6 mi) and 20 minutes from the centre, with the ski jump, the Holmenkollen Ski Museum and Tower and hotels with views over the fjord.
The hourly service costs US$95 an hour in a business sedan, US$120 in a business SUV, US$155 in a First Class Sedan, US$145 in a First Class SUV and US$190 in an Executive Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum. See hourly chauffeur.
Congresses, concerts and the cruise port
Oslo Spektrum is the Oslo arena that hosts both concerts and congresses, and is being extended with a new congress and culture stage due in autumn 2028 while events continue. NOVA Spektrum is the trade fair and conference centre in Lillestrøm, a stop on the Flytoget line between the airport and the city. Delegations book the hourly service or the corporate roadshow day, from US$855 in a business sedan to US$1,710 in a Sprinter. See conference transportation and concert transportation.
The Port of Oslo receives cruise calls through the season. Tell us the ship and the quay when you book, and the chauffeur times the pickup to your disembarkation or the drive to your check-in window. See cruise port transfers.
City tour, day trips and long drives
The private city highlights tour, from US$380 in a business sedan to US$760 in an Executive Sprinter, takes in the Royal Palace, the Opera House, City Hall, Vigeland Park, the Bygdøy peninsula and its museums, and the view from Holmenkollen. See private city tours. The full-day chauffeur, from US$700 in a business sedan to US$1,400 in a Sprinter, covers a day along the Oslofjord or into the forests and lakes north of the city.
Longer drives, such as Oslo to Bergen across the mountains, are a full day or more on the road, and are quoted through the web booker with charging and rest stops planned in. See city to city car service.
Corporate travel and roadshows
Oslo is home to energy, shipping, seafood, finance and technology firms, and to embassies and international organisations, and visiting teams need a car that waits between meetings. The corporate roadshow day costs from US$855 in a business sedan, US$1,080 in a business SUV and US$1,395 in a First Class Sedan to US$1,710 in an Executive Sprinter. See roadshow chauffeur and corporate car service.
A corporate account gives fixed fares, monthly invoicing, one booking contact for many travellers and NDAs on request. Hotels and travel agents book guests on account through hotel accounts and travel agent accounts. For weddings and private celebrations, see wedding limousine. The chauffeur follows local rules on everything inside the vehicle.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a transfer from Oslo Airport to the city centre?
A fixed Elly8.net transfer from OSL to the city centre costs from US$265 in a business sedan, US$345 in a business SUV, US$465 in a First Class Sedan and US$690 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. It includes the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Road tolls and parking are billed at cost.
Is Flytoget faster than a car?
To Oslo S, yes: Flytoget takes 19 minutes and leaves every 10 minutes, while the drive is about 47 minutes on a clear road. For one or two travellers it is also far cheaper. A car makes more sense for groups, heavy luggage, child seats and addresses away from the rail line.
Where does the chauffeur meet me at Gardermoen?
In the international arrivals hall, after passport control and baggage reclaim, with a name board. The chauffeur tracks your flight from the number you give when booking, and waiting after a tracked landing is complimentary. If you miss a connection, message the 24/7 desk and the pickup moves.
Who pays the Oslo road tolls?
Tolls are billed at cost on top of the fixed fare, like parking. Fjellinjen sets the toll by fuel type and time of day, and electric cars pay a lower rate than petrol and diesel cars, so an electric partner vehicle usually keeps the toll charge small.
Will my car be electric?
Often, yes. Most new cars sold in Norway are electric, and many partner vehicles in Oslo are too. If you need a particular vehicle type for luggage or comfort, say so when you book, and long trips are planned with charging time included.
Can you provide cars for the Nobel Peace Prize week?
Yes. Book hourly cars and evening service for the days around 10 December early, because the city is busy and hotels fill. We provide the car and chauffeur only; invitations and access to the ceremony at Oslo City Hall and other official events are arranged by the organisers.
Are child seats available?
Yes. Ask for child or booster seats when you book and give the children's ages, and the partner fits them before pickup. For a family with suitcases after a long flight, an SUV or Sprinter from Gardermoen is the simplest way into the city.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation more than 72 hours before pickup. A 10% fee applies at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. Refunds go to the original card used for the booking.
