The 80th Festival de Cannes runs from Tuesday 11 May to Saturday 22 May 2027 at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès on La Croisette. The anniversary edition starts a day earlier in the calendar than the 2026 festival did, and it keeps its home on the seafront. According to the Marché du Film's 2026 figures, some 40,000 professionals came to Cannes for the festival, with 16,000 accredited to the film market alone, from more than 140 countries.
For twelve days a town of beaches and boulevards becomes the most watched red carpet in the world. Producers, sales agents, buyers, press, talent and their teams move between the Palais, hotel suites along the Croisette, beach venues, villas in the hills and galas further along the coast, often four or five times a day. Elly8.net books the festival as fixed-price chauffeured cars: airport meet and greet at Nice or Cannes-Mandelieu, hourly cars that wait between meetings and screenings, and evening cars for galas and parties.
How do you get around Cannes during the film festival?
For short hops along La Croisette, walking is often fastest. Book a chauffeur by the hour for the days with meetings away from the Palais, screenings in evening dress, galas on the Cap or dinners in the hills. The chauffeur follows the police arrangements around the Palais and meets you at agreed points, not in the crowd.
During the festival, traffic on La Croisette is managed closely. Police regulate the flow of chauffeured cars around the Palais, parking near the seafront fills early, and access to the area around the red carpet is controlled. Accredited professionals walk between the Palais and the Croisette hotels; cars do the longer trips.
That split is the right way to plan. Do not book a car to cover 400 metres in festival traffic. Book one for the trip that is too far, too formal or too late to walk: a screening in black tie, a market meeting at a villa in Mougins, a gala on Cap d'Antibes, the airport at 6 a.m.
Arriving for the festival: Nice Côte d'Azur and Cannes-Mandelieu
Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (NCE) handles most festival arrivals. It is about 32 km (20 mi) from La Croisette, roughly 41 minutes on a clear road. During the festival, the A8 motorway and the coast road into Cannes slow down at the hours when everyone arrives, so allow more. The chauffeur meets you inside arrivals at the Nice airport with a name board, tracking your flight, with complimentary waiting after a tracked landing.
Cannes-Mandelieu Airport (CEQ) is the business aviation airport west of town, about 6 km (4 mi) from La Croisette, roughly 12 minutes on a clear road. For guests flying privately, or connecting by helicopter or business jet from Nice, it is the shortest transfer on the Riviera. See private jet FBO transfers.
| Route | Business Sedan | Business SUV | First Class Sedan | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| NCE to La Croisette | US$190 | US$250 | US$335 | US$495 |
| NCE round trip to La Croisette | US$365 | US$475 | US$640 | US$945 |
| CEQ to La Croisette | US$115 | US$150 | US$205 | US$300 |
| By the hour, as directed (3-hour minimum) | US$90 | US$115 | US$145 | US$180 |
Prices are per vehicle and all-in, including the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet. A first class SUV is US$305 from Nice airport. The full list is on the Cannes price list; for how airport meetings work, see airport transfers.
The festival day: hourly chauffeurs between Palais, hotels and villas
Most festival days follow a pattern: market meetings in the morning, screenings and press in the afternoon, a premiere in the evening and a party after it. An hourly chauffeur fits that day better than a series of transfers.
Meetings. Many companies take suites in the Croisette hotels or rent villas and apartments in Le Cannet, Mougins or Super-Cannes. The chauffeur moves you between them and waits.
Screenings in evening dress. The festival asks for evening wear at the gala screenings in the Grand Théâtre Lumière, around 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., and walking along the Croisette in black tie and heels at 7 p.m. is not always practical. The chauffeur drops you at the nearest point permitted by the police arrangements of the day and collects you at an agreed point afterwards.
Galas and parties. The festival's evenings spread along the coast, to Cap d'Antibes and the hills behind Cannes. The amfAR gala, listed for 20 May 2027 on Cap d'Antibes with the venue to be confirmed, is one of the best known. The coast road between Cannes and the Cap is slow at gala hour; plan the return time in advance and the car will be there.
The evening out and event night package (5 hours) is US$450 in a business sedan, US$575 in a business SUV, US$725 in a first class sedan and US$900 in an Executive Sprinter. For a long day, the full-day chauffeur (8 hours) is US$665 to US$1,325 and the corporate roadshow day (10 hours) is US$810 to US$1,620. See hourly chauffeur and event transportation.
Where you stay changes the transport plan
The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès sits at the western end of La Croisette, beside the Vieux Port. Where you sleep decides how much of the festival you can do on foot and how much needs a car.
On La Croisette. The seafront hotels are a walk from the Palais, and most daytime moves are on foot. A car is needed mainly for the airport, evening screenings in formal dress and anything outside the town centre.
In the town centre and the Suquet. Close to the Palais but up narrow streets; a car helps with luggage on arrival day and late at night.
In Le Cannet, Mougins, Super-Cannes and the hills. Villas and apartments rented by companies for the fortnight. Every trip to the Palais is a drive, and the return after a late screening is the one to book in advance. An hourly booking or the evening package usually costs less than a string of single transfers.
Further along the coast. Some guests stay in Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, Cap d'Antibes or Nice. Allow for the coast road and the A8 at peak hours, and book by the hour on the days you shuttle back and forth.
Tell the desk your address when you book, and the chauffeur plans pickup times from it, not from a map of the Croisette.
Talent, sales companies and production teams
Festival transport for talent and their teams is about timing and discretion. A premiere has a time to arrive, a route from the hotel to the carpet, and a moment to leave. The desk plans each car against the schedule you receive from the festival, the distributor or the publicist, and the chauffeur stages close by, ready to move when the window opens.
For a delegation of a film's cast and crew, the desk books several cars timed to arrive in order, or an Executive Sprinter (up to 12 passengers, US$495 from Nice airport, US$180 per hour) for team moves between hotel and screening. Chauffeurs can sign non-disclosure agreements, and they are briefed only on the timing and the route. Elly8.net is a transportation service, not a security company; close protection should be arranged separately. For production and talent logistics in general, see film and production transportation.
Sales companies, distributors and agencies can open a corporate account for monthly invoicing; travel agents and concierges book through travel-agent accounts.
Walk, bus, taxi or chauffeur: an honest comparison
| Option | Price | Best for | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Walking along La Croisette | Free | Accredited professionals staying near the Palais | Not practical in evening dress or rain, or for the hills |
| ZOU regional express coach from Nice airport | Regional fare | Solo travellers with light luggage | Fixed timetable; festival traffic on the road |
| Taxi or app ride | Metered or variable | A single trip off-peak | Queues at peak hours; police-managed access near the Palais |
| Elly8.net chauffeur | From US$190 from Nice; from US$90 per hour | Teams, talent, galas, villas, evenings | Must be pre-booked; festival fortnight books out early |
The regional ZOU express coach network runs an express line between Nice airport Terminal 2 and Cannes, and regional trains run along the coast between Nice and Cannes. For one traveller with a cabin bag and a hotel near Cannes station, they are a sensible way in. Once you are in Cannes, walking is the best way to move along the seafront during the day.
A chauffeur earns its place when you travel with luggage or a team, when you need to be on time in formal dress, when your evening ends on the Cap or in the hills, or when you need a fixed budget for a fortnight. For the general comparison, see chauffeur vs taxi.
After the festival, and the rest of the Riviera
Many guests stay on when the festival closes. The signature Saint-Tropez day trip (8 hours) is US$665 in a business sedan to US$1,325 in an Executive Sprinter, and the private city highlights tour starts at US$360. The Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix follows from 3 to 6 June 2027, about two weeks after the festival, and the desk books both on one account.
For trips along the coast and beyond, the city-to-city car service connects Cannes with Nice, Monaco, Milan and Geneva. Visitor information for the town is on the Cannes tourism site, and the festival's own programme on the Festival de Cannes website.
How booking works
Rides in Cannes are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer (seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley). Elly8.net is a member of LimousineWorldwide.Directory and LimousineAssociation.International.

Prices include the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet; tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. They do not change for the festival, but availability does. The festival fortnight is the busiest of the year for chauffeured cars in Cannes, so reserve now.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a car from Nice airport to Cannes during the film festival?
The price does not change for the festival. Nice Côte d'Azur Airport to La Croisette is US$190 in a business sedan, US$250 in a business SUV, US$335 in a first class sedan and US$495 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle and all-in, with meet and greet inside arrivals. From Cannes-Mandelieu it is US$115 to US$300.
Can the car drop me at the red carpet?
Access around the Palais is controlled by the festival and the police, and the arrangements depend on your accreditation and invitation. The chauffeur drops you at the closest point permitted on the day and collects you at an agreed point afterwards. Send the desk any arrival instructions you receive.
How long does the drive from Nice airport take?
About 41 minutes on a clear road for 32 km (20 mi). During the festival, allow more at the main arrival and departure hours and in the evening, when traffic on the A8 and the coast road builds. The desk sets pickup times with that in mind.
Do I need a car if I am staying on La Croisette?
Not for every trip. Walking along the Croisette is often the quickest way to the Palais during the day. Book a car for screenings in evening dress, for meetings in the hills, for galas on the Cap and for the airport.
Can you handle a cast or a sales team?
Yes. The desk books several cars timed to arrive in order, or an Executive Sprinter for up to 12 people at US$180 per hour. NDAs are available on request. All vehicles sit under one reference, and corporate accounts receive one monthly invoice.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free more than 72 hours before pickup; 10% at 72 hours or less; 50% at 48 hours or less; 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. Refunds go to the original card.
Can you take us to Saint-Tropez after the festival?
Yes. The Saint-Tropez day trip is an 8-hour package from US$665 in a business sedan. One-way transfers to Saint-Tropez, Monaco or other Riviera addresses can be priced and reserved in the web booker.
How early should I book?
As soon as your dates and accreditation are confirmed. The Cannes price list is fixed, but the number of chauffeured vehicles on the Riviera in May is not, and the most requested vehicles go first.
