A Honolulu airport transfer on Elly8.net is priced before you fly: a business sedan from Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) to Waikiki starts at US$185 all-in, a business SUV is US$245 and an Executive Sprinter for a family reunion or a wedding party is US$485. The price includes the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet, and it stays the same whether the H-1 is moving or crawling through town at 5 p.m.
Rides in Honolulu are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. You land after five or ten hours in the air, and the one thing you do not have to work out is how to get to the hotel.
How much is a transfer from Honolulu airport to Waikiki?
A pre-booked car from Honolulu airport (HNL) to Waikiki costs from US$185 in a business sedan to US$485 in an Executive Sprinter on Elly8.net, fixed and all-in. The road distance is about 26 km (16 mi), roughly 36 minutes on a clear road and often longer in the afternoon rush on the H-1.
The fares panel on this page lists every vehicle class. In round numbers, an HNL transfer runs from US$185 (business sedan) through US$245 (business SUV) and US$300 to US$325 (first class SUV and first class sedan) up to US$485 for an Executive Sprinter. A round trip booked together starts at US$355 in a sedan and reaches US$925 in a Sprinter, which settles the departure-day ride before you even land.
Parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost; there are no toll roads on Oahu. The price is per vehicle rather than per person, so a family of four with surfboard bags and a stroller in a business SUV pays US$245 in total, and a Sprinter holds a much bigger group with luggage.
Daniel K. Inouye International (HNL): terminals and where your chauffeur meets you
HNL has two passenger terminals side by side along the same airport road. Terminal 1 has baggage claims 6 to 11, and Terminal 2 has baggage claims 16 to 31 plus the international arrivals area, according to the airport's ride app pickup map. Your airline decides which terminal you use, so check the boarding pass and add your flight number when you book. The desk tracks the flight, confirms the terminal and adjusts the pickup if you land early or late.
Your chauffeur meets you in baggage claim with a name board, at the carousel area for your flight, and walks you to the car at the airport's designated pre-arranged pickup area. You get complimentary waiting after a tracked landing, which matters at HNL: international arrivals clear US immigration and customs before baggage claim, and a wide-body flight can mean a long wait at the carousel.
Ride app pickups have their own fixed spots on the ground level: outside baggage claim 6 at Terminal 1, and on the median between baggage claims 19 and 20 or across from baggage claim 31 at Terminal 2. Taxis are dispatched from the centre median in front of the baggage claim areas, where dispatchers in yellow shirts marked "TAXI DISPATCHER" load the cabs, according to the airport's taxi page.
| From HNL to | Distance | Clear road | Busy periods | Elly8.net from |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Waikiki hotels | about 26 km (16 mi) | about 36 min | 50 to 70 min in the afternoon rush | US$185 sedan |
| Round trip, HNL and Waikiki | same | same | same | US$355 sedan |
| Downtown, Kakaako, Kahala, Ko Olina, Kailua, the North Shore | varies | varies | varies | web booker |
For departures, the chauffeur pulls up at the departures curb of your terminal. From Waikiki we usually suggest leaving at least 2 hours and 30 minutes before a mainland departure in the afternoon, because the H-1 through town is at its slowest just as the evening flights to the West Coast leave. Agricultural inspection for bags going to the mainland is part of the departure process, so do not cut it fine. More on airport pickups is on our airport transfers and airport meet and greet pages.
Honolulu taxi vs rideshare vs TheBus and Skyline vs Elly8.net
Honolulu's public transport to the airport has changed. The Skyline rail line now has an airport stop, Lelepaua Station, between the International Parking Garage and the Terminal 2 Parking Garage, according to the airport's TheBus and Skyline page. Skyline does not run to Waikiki yet: the City and County's Skyline page routes riders heading downtown onto a bus transfer. TheBus W Line runs from the airport through downtown, Kakaako and Ala Moana to Waikiki, and route 42 adds one late-night eastbound trip.
The catch for most visitors is luggage. TheBus allows one standard medium suitcase and one smaller carry-on per passenger, and every bag has to fit under or in front of your seat, between your feet or on your lap without blocking the aisle. That rules out the bus for most families arriving with a week of bags.
| Option | HNL to Waikiki | Time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| TheBus W Line | standard TheBus fare, cash or HOLO card | the longest, with stops through town | Solo traveller with one medium suitcase |
| Skyline plus a bus transfer | HOLO card fare, free transfer to TheBus within 2 hours | rail to the end of the line, then bus | Travellers staying near the rail line |
| Taxi from the centre median | metered, ask the dispatcher | about 36 min clear road | Walk-up arrivals, one or two people |
| Rideshare from the marked pickup zones | varies with demand and time of day | same roads, plus the wait at the zone | Off-peak, light luggage |
| Elly8.net business sedan | from US$185, fixed and all-in | about 36 min clear road, chauffeur waiting in baggage claim | Fixed budgets, late flights, honeymoons |
| Elly8.net Executive Sprinter | US$485 for the vehicle | same | Families, groups, weddings, heavy luggage |
The honest reading: one traveller with one bag can do the trip on TheBus for very little, and a taxi or rideshare is reasonable for a couple travelling light at a quiet hour. A pre-booked chauffeur wins when you land after a long flight with children who need seats (available on request), when the group is larger than a sedan, when the luggage includes surfboards or golf bags, when you land late in the evening, or when you simply want the price settled before you leave home. Waikiki, downtown and the rest of the south shore
Most Honolulu bookings start or end in Waikiki, and Waikiki has its own geography. The big beachfront hotels line Kalakaua Avenue, and many of the rest sit along Kuhio Avenue a block inland. Hotel driveways are tight and busy at check-in and check-out time, so the chauffeur may suggest a pickup point in the porte-cochere or a side street to save ten minutes.
West of Waikiki, Ala Moana and Kakaako hold the big shopping centre and a growing set of hotels and condos, and downtown Honolulu is the business and government district around the State Capitol and Iolani Palace. East, Kahala is quieter and residential, with its resort beside the golf course. Out on the west side, the Ko Olina resort area is a longer drive from the airport in the other direction. All of these are priced in the web booker.
Hawaii Convention Center, Aloha Tower and the cruise piers
The Hawaii Convention Center at 1801 Kalakaua Avenue sits steps from Waikiki and covers 1.1 million square feet, with a 200,000-square-foot exhibit hall. Its calendar includes the Na Lehua Marketplace and Festival (November 6 to 8, 2026), a holiday light and indoor ice rink event in December, and the expo for the Honolulu Marathon, which starts at 5 a.m. on December 13, 2026. On marathon morning, roads along the course close early, so airport pickups and departures that day are planned around the closures. For conferences, conference transportation runs hotel loops and VIP arrivals on a schedule.
Cruise passengers arrive and depart at Honolulu Harbor, beside the Aloha Tower Marketplace at 1 Aloha Tower Drive. On a turnaround day the harbour roads fill with buses and cars at once, so the desk times a pier pickup for after you have cleared the ship and collected bags, and routes the drop-off to the pier on your cruise documents. A Sprinter is often the right vehicle for a family with a week of luggage. See cruise port transfers.
Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head and the North Shore circle-island day
Two of Oahu's top sights have rules that shape the day, and a chauffeur makes both easier.
At Pearl Harbor National Memorial, USS Arizona Memorial programmes are booked through recreation.gov and reservations are recommended. The bag policy is strict: bags larger than a small clutch are not allowed unless they are clear, and storage near the entrance carries a fee. On an hourly booking, from US$100 an hour in a business sedan (3-hour minimum), bags stay in the car with the chauffeur while you are inside.
At Diamond Head State Monument, non-residents need entry and parking reservations, and the park lists a US$5 per person entry fee and a US$10 parking fee for non-residents, with hours of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Book your slot first and send it to the desk, and the pickup is timed to it. Both sights fit inside the private city highlights tour, from US$400 in a business sedan to US$800 in an Executive Sprinter, along with downtown, Iolani Palace and the lookouts above Honolulu. See private city tours.
The signature day is the 8-hour North Shore circle-island tour, from US$740 in a business sedan and US$920 in a business SUV to US$1,475 in an Executive Sprinter. The usual loop heads out along the Windward coast past Kailua and Kaneohe, follows the shore north to Laie, then the surf beaches of the North Shore, Sunset Beach, the Banzai Pipeline and Waimea Bay, before lunch in Haleiwa and the drive back through the middle of the island. In winter the North Shore surf is the show, and the beach parking fills early; a chauffeur who drops you and waits solves that.
Corporate travel, weddings and nights out
Honolulu's corporate traffic is government, defence, tourism and the conferences at the convention center. For a full day of meetings, the corporate roadshow day package starts at US$900 in a business sedan and US$1,125 in a business SUV, up to US$1,800 in an Executive Sprinter. Shorter days work as hourly chauffeur service from US$100 an hour in a business sedan (3-hour minimum), or a full-day chauffeur from US$740. A corporate account gives monthly invoicing and NDAs on request; see corporate car service.
Destination weddings are a big part of Honolulu work: a hotel pickup, a beach or chapel ceremony, photos at a lookout and a dinner reception. An hourly booking or full-day chauffeur keeps one car with the couple, and an Executive Sprinter moves the family. See wedding limousine service. For a dinner or a show, the evening out and event night package runs from US$500 in a business sedan to US$1,000 in an Executive Sprinter. The chauffeur follows Hawaii's rules on alcohol in vehicles, so plan the toast for the venue.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a car from Honolulu airport to Waikiki?
On Elly8.net, a transfer from Daniel K. Inouye International (HNL) to Waikiki costs from US$185 in a business sedan and US$245 in a business SUV, up to US$485 in an Executive Sprinter. The price is fixed and all-in: chauffeur, vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet. Parking and extra waiting are billed at cost.
Where will my chauffeur meet me at HNL?
In baggage claim at your terminal, holding a name board. Terminal 1 has baggage claims 6 to 11 and Terminal 2 has 16 to 31 plus international arrivals. Add your flight number when you book; the desk tracks the flight and confirms the terminal, and you get complimentary waiting after a tracked landing.
Can I take the bus or Skyline from the airport to Waikiki?
You can take TheBus W Line, but each passenger may bring only one medium suitcase and one carry-on, and bags must fit by your seat or on your lap. Skyline stops at the airport but does not reach Waikiki yet. For families and anyone with more luggage, a pre-booked car is far easier.
How much is the North Shore circle-island tour?
The 8-hour North Shore circle-island day costs from US$740 in a business sedan, US$920 in a business SUV and US$1,475 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. It typically follows the Windward coast to the North Shore surf beaches and Haleiwa, then returns through central Oahu, with the chauffeur waiting at each stop.
Do you meet cruise ships at Honolulu Harbor?
Yes. Book a pier pickup or drop-off with your ship and date. The desk times the pickup for after you clear the ship and collect bags, and routes the car to the pier on your cruise documents. A business SUV or an Executive Sprinter suits families with a week of luggage.
Do you provide child seats in Honolulu?
Yes, child seats are available on request. Tell us each child's age and weight when you book so the right seat is fitted before pickup. After a long flight, having the seat already installed saves a lot of time at the curb, and the price is fixed per vehicle.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 72 hours before pickup and it is free. At 72 hours or less the charge is 10%, at 48 hours or less it is 50%, and at 24 hours or less, or for a no-show, it is 100%. Refunds go back to the original card used for the booking.
Can you plan a Pearl Harbor visit with a car?
Yes. Book an hourly chauffeur from US$100 an hour (3-hour minimum) or the private city highlights tour. Reserve your USS Arizona programme on recreation.gov first and send the time to the desk. Because the memorial does not allow most bags, you can leave them in the car with the chauffeur.
