A wedding needs more than one car. There is the car that brings the couple to the ceremony, usually something the photographer wants in the frame. There are parents and grandparents who need a calm, punctual ride. And there are guests, often forty or a hundred of them, spread across two hotels, who must reach the ceremony on time and get back safely after the last dance. Elly8.net books all of that from one reservation desk, in 141 cities across the USA, Canada and Europe.
Every vehicle on our city price lists has a fixed, all-in price: chauffeur, vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity included. Rolls-Royce, Mercedes-Maybach and stretch limousines are priced in the web booker for your exact addresses and hours. Either way you see the number before you pay, and nothing changes on the day because traffic was slow or the photographer asked for ten more minutes on the church steps within your booked time.
How much does a wedding limo cost?
With Elly8.net, a five-hour "evening out and event" block covers most wedding days for one car: from US$450 in a business sedan in Paris, US$475 in Las Vegas or Nashville, US$525 in New York or Los Angeles, and US$1,050 for a 12-seat Executive Sprinter in New York. Stretch limousines and Rolls-Royce are priced in the web booker.
Wedding cars are almost always booked by time, not by distance, because the car waits between the ceremony and the reception and moves several times. That is why we point couples to two lines on each city's price list: the five-hour Evening out & event night block, and By the hour, as directed, with a three-hour minimum.
| City | Hourly, sedan to Sprinter (3-hour minimum) | 5-hour block, Business Sedan | 5-hour block, Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|
| New York City | US$105 to US$210 per hour | US$525 | US$1,050 |
| Los Angeles | US$105 to US$210 per hour | US$525 | US$1,050 |
| Chicago | US$100 to US$200 per hour | US$500 | US$1,000 |
| Miami | US$100 to US$200 per hour | US$500 | US$1,000 |
| Las Vegas | US$95 to US$190 per hour | US$475 | US$950 |
| Nashville | US$95 to US$190 per hour | US$475 | US$950 |
| Toronto | US$110 to US$220 per hour | US$550 | US$1,100 |
| Napa Valley | US$100 to US$200 per hour | US$500 | US$1,000 |
| London | US$105 to US$210 per hour | US$525 | US$1,050 |
| Paris | US$90 to US$180 per hour | US$450 | US$900 |
All prices are in US dollars, per vehicle, not per person. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the booked time are billed at cost. A First Class Sedan (S-Class or similar) or a First Class SUV (Escalade or Navigator) sits between the two columns: in New York the five-hour block is US$850 in a First Class Sedan and US$800 in a First Class SUV.
Which wedding car fits which job
Most weddings end up with two or three different vehicles, each doing a different job. Choose by passengers, dress and timing rather than by the brochure.
The bridal car. For the couple, the classic choices are the Rolls-Royce or Mercedes-Maybach (two passengers in comfort, with room for a full skirt in the rear), a First Class Sedan, or a stretch limousine when the wedding party rides together. Partner vehicles in the Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley classes are seven model years or newer; every other class is four model years or newer.
The wedding party. Bridesmaids and groomsmen moving together between the hotel, the photo location and the ceremony fit a stretch limousine (up to 8), a stretch SUV limousine (up to 16) or an Executive Sprinter (up to 12). The Sprinter is the practical choice when people get in and out all day; it has a high roof and real headroom for a dress and a suit jacket.
Parents and grandparents. A business or first-class sedan, or an SUV if a wheelchair or walker needs to fold into the back. We ask about mobility when you book so the partner sends the right car.
Guest shuttles. Executive Sprinters running loops between the guest hotels, the ceremony and the reception. This is the job that saves weddings: no guest drives after the reception, nobody gets lost finding a vineyard at dusk, and the timeline holds. See group transportation and shuttles for how we plan loops with several vehicles.
The late car. A sedan or SUV held for the couple and the last guests, often booked as a separate hourly reservation that starts when the reception winds down.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Best wedding job | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business Sedan | up to 3 | parents, officiant, late car | city price list and booker |
| First Class Sedan | up to 3 | the couple, parents | city price list and booker |
| Business or First Class SUV | up to 6 | family groups, mobility aids | city price list and booker |
| Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | wedding party, guest shuttle loops | city price list and booker |
| Rolls-Royce or Mercedes-Maybach | up to 2 | the couple's arrival and departure | web booker |
| Stretch Limousine | up to 8 | wedding party, photos | web booker |
| Stretch SUV Limousine | up to 16 | larger wedding parties | web booker |

Planning the wedding-day timeline with your cars
The cars should follow the timeline, not the other way round. When you book, the desk asks for the same things a wedding planner would:
- Every address, in order: hotel or home, photo location, ceremony, reception, after-party, hotel.
- The ceremony start time and how early the couple must arrive. We build the buffer in before the ceremony, not after.
- Who rides in which car, and whether anyone needs a child seat, booster or mobility help.
- Where the car waits. Venues often have a set loading area, and some historic churches and town halls have no parking at all, so the chauffeur waits nearby and returns on a call.
- The finish, including the last pickup after the reception.
Hourly bookings let the car wait with you between legs, which is what most couples want. A typical pattern in a city such as Chicago or Toronto is a five-hour block for the couple's car from first look to reception entrance, a Sprinter loop for guests timed around the ceremony and reception, and a separate late car.
For a chapel ceremony in Las Vegas, a car booked by the hour can wait outside and then do a photo loop on the Strip before dinner. For a city hall ceremony in New York, book the car around your appointment time and leave the buffer for Midtown traffic, not for the ceremony itself.
Guest shuttles: how many Sprinters do you need?
A practical rule: one Executive Sprinter seats up to 12. For a single loop between one hotel and one venue, divide your guest count by 12 and decide how many runs you can fit before the ceremony. With a 15-minute drive each way, a Sprinter can complete a round trip in roughly 40 minutes including loading, so one vehicle can move about 24 guests in the hour before the ceremony. For 60 guests in that hour, three Sprinters running two loops each is the honest answer; one Sprinter running five loops will make the last guests late.
After the reception people leave in waves, so fewer vehicles running more loops works well. We plan the last run around your venue's closing time, not a guess.
For destination weddings with guests arriving at the airport over two days, combine the shuttles with airport transfers: the flight-tracked arrivals are booked one by one, and the wedding-day loops are booked by the hour.
Weddings in wine country, on the lake and abroad
Some of the weddings we book most are away from city centres, where taxis and rideshare are thin on the ground at the end of the night.
Napa and Sonoma. Vineyard weddings mean long, dark roads after the reception and venues with strict guest limits and parking rules. Guest Sprinters and a late car are close to essential. Napa Valley five-hour blocks run from US$500 in a sedan to US$1,000 in an Executive Sprinter; see Napa Valley car service for airport transfers from SFO, about 59 mi (94 km) away, and from Oakland. If guests plan a winery visit the day before, book the tasting first: Visit Napa Valley notes that tastings are conducted by appointment and that some wineries limit daily guests.
Toronto, Niagara and cottage country. Toronto and the GTA run on the Elly8 fleet and chauffeurs, which makes Toronto weddings the simplest to plan with us end to end. Winery weddings in Niagara-on-the-Lake combine well with Niagara Falls transfers, and lake weddings north of the city with Muskoka car service.
Europe. Couples marrying at Lake Como, in Paris or in London often book the couple's car, a guest Sprinter and airport arrivals for family flying in from North America in one reservation. In Europe the SUV class is the Mercedes-Benz V-Class, which seats six with luggage.
Outside Toronto and the GTA, rides are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Licensing differs by place: in New York City, drivers, bases and for-hire vehicles are licensed by the Taxi and Limousine Commission, and in California passenger carriers operate under authority granted by the California Public Utilities Commission. We only book partners who hold the licence their city requires.
Elly8.net vs a taxi, rideshare or a friend with a car
We are honest about this, because couples are spending real money.
A taxi or rideshare is perfectly fine for a guest going home alone from a city-centre reception at 10 p.m. It is the wrong tool for the couple's arrival, for anything with a timeline, and for a vineyard or country-house venue at midnight, when there may simply be no cars nearby. Rideshare XL tiers carry around six people when they are available; they are not reserved for you, and surge pricing at closing time is normal.
A friend with a car is generous, but a wedding asks a lot of a driver: no drinking, constant availability, and a clean car that fits a dress. Most couples are glad to give their friends the night off.
A pre-booked chauffeur is worth it when the timeline matters, when guests must get home safely, when the venue is out of town, and when you want one confirmation and one phone number for the day. The chauffeur follows local rules on alcohol in the vehicle, which differ by city and vehicle type, so plan the toasts at the venue rather than in the car.
| Option | Price certainty | Waits for you | Groups | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Elly8.net hourly car or Sprinter | fixed before you pay | yes, between every leg | up to 12 per Sprinter, several vehicles | the couple, the timeline, guest loops |
| Taxi | metered | no | usually up to 4 | a single guest from a city reception |
| Rideshare | surge pricing at peak | no | XL tiers when available | one-off rides home in the city |
| A friend's car | free | yes | one carload | very small weddings |

How booking works
Wedding reservations follow the same three steps as every Elly8.net booking:
- Enter the pickup and drop-off, or choose "by the hour" and list the stops. For guests landing the day before, add the flight number so the chauffeur tracks it.
- Choose the vehicle for each job: sedan, SUV, Executive Sprinter, or a stretch, Rolls-Royce or Maybach in the web booker.
- Reserve now from a city's price list, or price your exact addresses in the web booker, and pay by card. The confirmation arrives by email, and the chauffeur's details follow before the day.
Several cars for one wedding can sit under one name. If a wedding planner books on your behalf, they can open a travel-agent account, and hotels hosting the wedding can book guest transport through a hotel account. Companies paying for staff weddings or offsites use corporate accounts with monthly invoicing.
Cancellation, changes and the weather
Weddings move. Our cancellation policy is the same everywhere and is written into every confirmation: more than 72 hours before pickup, free; 72 hours or less, 10%; 48 hours or less, 50%; 24 hours or less, or a no-show, 100%. Refunds go back to the original card. The full wording is on the cancellation policy page.
You can ask to change times and addresses while the cars are still being planned; the price only changes if the hours or the vehicle change. On the day, if the ceremony runs long, the car simply waits, and time beyond the booked block is billed at cost. Child seats are available on request when you book.
Elly8.net is a member of the worldwide network of LimousineWorldwide.Directory, LimousineAssociation.International, HotelsWorldwide.Directory and VacationsWorldwide.Directory. For the flights and hotels around the wedding, our travel partner BookingWorldwide.net handles that side; Elly8.net books the cars.
Frequently asked questions
How far ahead should we book a wedding car?
As soon as the date and venues are fixed. Rolls-Royce, Maybach and stretch limousines are limited in every city, and summer Saturdays fill first. Booking early costs nothing extra: cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup, so you can hold the cars while the timeline settles and adjust the addresses later.
Is a wedding limo priced per hour or per trip?
Usually per hour, because the car waits between the ceremony, the photos and the reception. On Elly8.net price lists the hourly rate has a three-hour minimum, and the five-hour "evening out and event" block suits most wedding days. A single trip, such as the couple's ride to the airport the next morning, is booked point to point.
Can we drink champagne in the limousine?
Laws on alcohol in vehicles differ by city, state, province and country, and by vehicle type. The chauffeur follows local rules and may decline open containers. Plan the toast at the venue or the hotel and use the car for the arrival, the photos and the safe ride home.
How many guests fit in one shuttle?
An Executive Sprinter seats up to 12. Divide your guest count by 12, then by the number of loops you can fit before the ceremony. For 60 guests arriving in the hour before a ceremony 15 minutes away, plan three Sprinters running two loops each rather than one vehicle running five.
Is the gratuity included?
Yes. Every price on Elly8.net includes the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes and a standard gratuity. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the booked time are billed at cost. Any extra tip on the day is entirely your choice and is never expected by the desk.
What happens if the ceremony runs late?
The chauffeur waits. Time inside your booked block costs nothing extra, and time beyond it is billed at cost. Tell the chauffeur or call the 24/7 desk if the reception will finish later than planned so the guest shuttles can be adjusted in time.
Do you book weddings outside big cities?
Yes, when the venue is reachable from one of our 141 cities: a vineyard near Napa, a lake house in Muskoka or a villa on Lake Como, for example. Enter the venue address in the web booker for a fixed price, or call the desk for plans with several vehicles across several days.
Can our wedding planner manage the bookings?
Yes. Planners can open a travel-agent account and book every vehicle under the couple's name, with one confirmation per car and a single point of contact at the desk. Hotels hosting the wedding can do the same through a hotel account.
