A Charleston wedding limo plan works best when it is built backwards from the ceremony time and around the city's geography: a small peninsula of narrow streets, river venues out along Ashley River Road, and Mount Pleasant and the islands across the bridges. On Elly8.net the couple's car, the wedding party's Sprinter and the guest shuttles are all priced before you book. A First Class Sedan is US$155 an hour, an Executive Sprinter US$190 an hour, both with a three-hour minimum, and a five-hour evening package runs from US$475 to US$950.
This guide sets out a realistic day-of timeline, which vehicle to give each job, worked budgets for three common Charleston weddings, and the questions to settle before you sign. Rides in Charleston are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.
How much does a wedding limo cost in Charleston?
For the couple, a First Class Sedan is US$155 an hour or US$775 for a five-hour evening package. A 12-seat Executive Sprinter for the wedding party or guests is US$190 an hour or US$950 for five hours. Hourly bookings have a three-hour minimum. Stretch limousines and Rolls-Royce cars are quoted in the web booker.
All prices are per vehicle and all-in, with chauffeur, taxes and standard gratuity included; tolls, parking and waiting beyond the booked time are billed at cost. The full list, including the Business Sedan at US$95 an hour and SUVs at US$120 to US$145, is on the Charleston price list.

Where Charleston weddings happen, and why it matters for transport
The venue decides the transport plan more than the guest count does.
The peninsula. Churches, historic houses and hotel ballrooms in the old city keep distances short, but the streets are narrow, often one-way, and parking is scarce. Vehicles stage nearby and pull up when the couple is ready. Smaller cars have the easiest time south of Broad.
Ashley River Road. Some of the area's best-known historic estates sit along Ashley River Road (Route 61), west of the city: Drayton Hall at 3380 Ashley River Road, Magnolia Plantation and Gardens at 3550, which hosts weddings and elopements, and Middleton Place at 4300, a National Historic Landmark with America's oldest landscaped gardens. Guests staying downtown need a ride out and, more importantly, a ride back after a reception where most people will not want to drive country roads in the dark.
Mount Pleasant. Across the Ravenel Bridge, waterfront venues and Boone Hall Plantation, which lists weddings among its events, put the bridge in the middle of the timeline.
The islands. Resort weddings on Kiawah, Isle of Palms or Folly Beach mean longer drives and, on Kiawah, gated entry. Give the desk the resort name and any guest-pass instructions.
A day-of timeline, built backwards
Here is a typical plan for a 5 p.m. ceremony at an Ashley River Road venue with the wedding party getting ready on the peninsula and guests in two downtown hotel blocks. Adjust each line to your venue's own schedule.
| Time | What moves | Vehicle | Why this time |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1:30 p.m. | Bridesmaids and bride to the photo location | Executive Sprinter | Photos before the ceremony; dresses need space |
| 2:00 p.m. | Groomsmen collected at their hotel | Business SUV or second Sprinter | Keeps the two groups on separate schedules |
| 3:30 p.m. | Couple's car staged at the getting-ready location | First Class Sedan | The arrival car should be early and spotless |
| 3:45 and 4:15 p.m. | Guest shuttle runs from hotel blocks to the venue | Executive Sprinters | Two waves so the last guests are seated early |
| 4:15 p.m. | Bride departs for the ceremony | First Class Sedan | Allows for traffic on the way out of the city |
| 5:00 p.m. | Ceremony | Vehicles wait on site | Chauffeurs stage where the venue directs |
| 9:30 p.m. | Early guest return | Executive Sprinter | Older guests and families leave first |
| 11:00 p.m. | Couple's exit and final guest run | First Class Sedan and Sprinters | The send-off, then everyone home safely |
Three habits make this work. First, add slack to every leg that crosses a bridge or leaves the peninsula at the evening peak. Second, keep the couple's car separate from the shuttles, so a late guest never delays the bride. Third, send the desk the venue's vendor instructions, because many estates have their own rules for where vehicles drop off and wait.
Which vehicle for which job
Seat counts are from our fleet page.
The couple: First Class Sedan or a statement car. A First Class Sedan, Mercedes-Benz S-Class or similar, seats up to three and is the cleanest choice for the arrival and the exit. For photographs, a Rolls-Royce or Mercedes-Maybach is available through the web booker; partner vehicles in those marques are seven model years old or newer.
The wedding party: Executive Sprinter. Twelve forward-facing seats, a high roof for dresses and room for the bouquets, the emergency kit and the photographer's bag. One Sprinter for both sides of the party works when the schedules overlap; two keep them independent.
The classic look: Stretch Limousine. Up to eight passengers in low limousine seating. It photographs beautifully, but it is less practical for long rural runs and tight peninsula corners. Quoted in the booker; see black car vs limousine.
Guests: Sprinter shuttles. Run scheduled loops between hotel blocks and the venue. Each Sprinter carries twelve per run, so a 100-guest wedding with half the guests using the shuttle needs two Sprinters running two waves each way. Our wedding limousine and guest shuttle page and group transportation page explain loop planning.
Three Charleston weddings, priced
These budgets use the published Charleston price list and five-hour evening packages. Your exact plan is priced in the booker.
An intimate peninsula wedding
Ceremony at a downtown church, dinner at a restaurant four blocks away, about 30 guests staying on King Street. Most guests walk. The couple books a First Class Sedan on the evening package, US$775, for the arrival, photographs around the Battery and the exit.
The Ashley River Road estate wedding
The timeline above: a First Class Sedan for the couple (US$775), a Sprinter for the wedding party (US$950) and two Sprinters running guest waves (US$1,900 together). Total, US$3,625 for four vehicles. Split across 60 shuttle riders, the guest share is about US$32 a head, as arithmetic for comparison only, since every price is per vehicle.
The Kiawah Island resort weekend
Guests fly into Charleston International (CHS) and the chauffeur meets them inside baggage claim. CHS to the Historic Peninsula is US$140 in a Business Sedan, US$185 in a Business SUV and US$365 in an Executive Sprinter; island addresses are quoted in the booker. On the day, the 5-hour Kiawah Island package, from US$440 in a sedan to US$875 in a Sprinter, covers a family's trip out and back with the car waiting. Read the airport's ground transportation page for the terminal layout, and our airport transfers page for how pickups work.
| Wedding | Vehicles | Hours | Total, per vehicle pricing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Peninsula, about 30 guests | First Class Sedan | 5 | US$775 |
| Ashley River Road estate | First Class Sedan + 3 Sprinters | 5 each | US$3,625 |
| Couple only, short ceremony | First Class Sedan | 3 (minimum) | US$465 |
| Guest airport arrivals, per car | Business Sedan to Sprinter | one way | US$140 to US$365 |
The rest of the weekend: rehearsal dinner, welcome party and the day after
A Charleston wedding is rarely one day. The rehearsal dinner and the welcome party are usually on the peninsula or in Mount Pleasant, and both end late, often in a different place from where they started. A single Executive Sprinter on the five-hour evening package, US$950, collects the family and wedding party from the hotels, waits through dinner and runs everyone back, so nobody has to choose a designated driver the night before the wedding.
The day after is quieter but still busy for transport: a farewell brunch, a check-out at the inn and a string of departures. Airport fares are the same fixed price in either direction, so the CHS run home is US$140 in a Business Sedan up to US$365 in an Executive Sprinter. Families with children and car seats, or guests with heavy bags, usually prefer a Business SUV at US$185. If the couple's family wants a last day together, the 4-hour private city highlights tour, from US$380 in a sedan to US$760 in a Sprinter, covers the Battery, Rainbow Row and the harbour; see private city tours.
When to book
Spring and autumn Saturdays are Charleston's busiest wedding dates, and Sprinters and statement cars are the first vehicles to go. Book the couple's car and the Sprinters as soon as the venue and ceremony time are confirmed, then finalise the shuttle schedule a few weeks out when the guest list settles. Changing a booking is easier than finding a vehicle in May.
Remember the cancellation terms when you set your deadlines: free more than 72 hours before pickup, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show, refunded to the original card. Ask the desk to adjust times or vehicles instead of cancelling if the plan moves.
Questions to settle before you sign
- Is every price all-in? With Elly8.net, gratuity and taxes are included; tolls and parking are billed at cost.
- Who is the contact on the day? The 24/7 desk, plus each chauffeur's details sent before pickup.
- What happens if the ceremony runs late? Waiting beyond the booked hours is billed at cost, so book an extra hour of slack rather than cutting it close.
- Can guests drink in the shuttle? The chauffeur follows local rules on alcohol in vehicles; celebrate at the venue.
- Child seats? Available on request; give the ages when you book.
- Who pays? One card, or invoicing through an account. Planners can book through a travel agent account, and hotels holding the room block can open a hotel account.

Frequently asked questions
How many cars do we need for a Charleston wedding?
Most weddings book one car for the couple, one Sprinter for the wedding party and enough Sprinters for the guests who need a ride. Each Sprinter carries twelve per run, so count shuttle riders, divide by twelve and decide how many waves you want. The desk checks the plan against the venue's arrival rules.
How much is a Sprinter for wedding guests in Charleston?
An Executive Sprinter is US$190 an hour with a three-hour minimum, or US$950 for a five-hour evening package, per vehicle and all-in. Shared by twelve guests, five hours works out at about US$79 each, as arithmetic only. Two Sprinters running alternating loops cover most mid-size weddings.
Can the car take us to Magnolia, Middleton Place or Drayton Hall?
Yes. All three are along Ashley River Road west of the city, and the chauffeur drops off and waits where each venue directs vendors. Send the desk the venue's instructions and the ceremony time, and allow extra time for the drive out of the peninsula on a busy afternoon.
Do you offer Rolls-Royce or vintage-style cars?
Rolls-Royce and Mercedes-Maybach are available through the web booker, subject to the date, and partner vehicles in those marques are seven model years old or newer. Stretch limousines are also quoted there. For guest transport, the Executive Sprinter on the fixed price list is the practical choice.
How far ahead should we book?
As soon as the venue and ceremony time are set, especially for spring and autumn Saturdays. Statement cars and Sprinters are booked first. You can refine shuttle times later; free cancellation applies more than 72 hours before pickup, with charges rising from 10% to 100% inside that window.
Can you meet out-of-town guests at the airport?
Yes. The chauffeur tracks each flight and meets guests inside baggage claim at CHS with a name board, with complimentary waiting after a tracked landing. CHS to the Historic Peninsula is US$140 in a Business Sedan up to US$365 in an Executive Sprinter, the same fixed price in either direction.
