The 127th U.S. Open Championship is played at Pebble Beach Golf Links from Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 June 2027, with a field of 156 players. Weekly tickets cover Monday to Sunday of championship week, so practice rounds bring crowds to the Monterey Peninsula from Monday 14 June. It is Pebble Beach's seventh U.S. Open, after 1972, 1982, 1992, 2000, 2010 and 2019, and the USGA describes the course as an "anchor" site with more Opens to come.
The peninsula is beautiful and small. Pebble Beach is about 129 km (80 mi) from Mineta San Jose International Airport and about 170 km (106 mi) from San Francisco International on our routing, and the roads that serve it were not designed for a major championship. Elly8.net plans U.S. Open week from San Jose and Silicon Valley, the nearest city on our network: fixed-price airport transfers, long-distance cars quoted in the web booker, and chauffeurs who know that the last few miles depend on the USGA's parking and shuttle plan.
How do you get to the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach?
Fly into Monterey Regional (MRY) if you can, about 16 km (10 mi) from the course, or San Jose (SJC), about 129 km (80 mi) away. Drive or be driven to the championship parking named on your ticket, then take the shuttle to the entrance. Premium packages include upgraded parking and shuttle service; follow the instructions that come with your ticket.
The USGA's 2027 ticket page shows the pattern for spectators: premium packages include premium or upgraded VIP parking with shuttle service to the championship entrance. That is the key planning fact. The final approach to the course runs on the USGA's own arrangements, and the most useful thing a car can do is put you at the right parking or drop-off point, early, without you having to navigate the peninsula at dawn.
For corporate hosts, a chauffeur also removes the long drive at the end of a hot day. A business sedan from the course back to Silicon Valley lets a client sleep, take calls or prepare for the next morning instead of driving 130 km (81 mi) north on US-101.

All of the above comes from the USGA's Fast Facts for the 2027 U.S. Open. If scores are tied after 72 holes, a two-hole aggregate playoff follows immediately, which can push the Sunday finish later than planned. Book the Sunday evening car with that in mind.
Which airport: Monterey, San Jose or San Francisco
| Airport | Road distance to Pebble Beach (Elly8.net routing) | Clear-road drive | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monterey Regional (MRY) | about 16 km (10 mi) | about 27 min | Guests who can find a flight; the shortest final leg |
| Mineta San Jose (SJC) | about 129 km (80 mi) | about 1 h 40 min | Most domestic flights; guests staying in Silicon Valley |
| San Francisco (SFO) | about 170 km (106 mi) | about 2 h 10 min | International arrivals and the widest choice of flights |
Monterey Regional Airport is closest, and the airport notes that rideshares, taxis and buses serve its terminal. Seats into MRY are limited during a championship week, so many visitors land at San Jose or SFO and drive south.
Our fixed San Jose and Silicon Valley prices are priced to Mountain View: from SJC, US$145 in a business sedan, US$190 in a business SUV and US$380 in an Executive Sprinter; from SFO, US$255, US$335 and US$665. Round trips start at US$280 from SJC and US$485 from SFO. For the long leg to the Monterey Peninsula, or from MRY to a hotel in Carmel or Pebble Beach, the web booker quotes the exact trip before you pay. Chauffeurs track your flight and meet you inside arrivals with a name board, with complimentary waiting after a tracked landing; see airport transfers. Guests arriving by private aircraft are met at the FBO named in the booking; see private jet and FBO transfers.
The plan for championship week
Where to stay. Hotels in Pebble Beach, Carmel-by-the-Sea and Monterey fill early for a U.S. Open, and many visitors stay further away: in Silicon Valley, Santa Cruz or the Salinas Valley. The further out you stay, the more a car is worth. The Monterey County visitor bureau lists accommodation across the area.
Practice days, Monday 14 to Wednesday 16 June. These are the most relaxed days to watch, and the easiest on the roads. A car for the full day lets you arrive for the morning groups and leave when you choose. On the San Jose list, the full-day chauffeur (8 hours) is from US$740 in a business sedan to US$1,475 in an Executive Sprinter.
Championship rounds, Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 June. Early starts, late finishes and heavy traffic at close of play. If you are staying in Silicon Valley, the 10-hour corporate roadshow day, from US$900 in a business sedan to US$1,800 in an Executive Sprinter, covers the drive down, a long day at the course and the drive back with time to spare. The chauffeur drops you at the parking or drop-off point your ticket names and collects you there; waiting beyond the included time is billed at cost.
Evenings. Championship week brings sponsor dinners and private events across the peninsula. The evening out and event night package (5 hours) on the San Jose list is from US$500 in a business sedan to US$1,000 in an Executive Sprinter; on the peninsula itself, the web booker quotes the evening. The chauffeur follows local rules on drinks in vehicles.
Corporate hosts, golf groups and travel companies
Corporate hospitality is a large part of any U.S. Open, and the Bay Area's technology companies are only two hours away. A company hosting clients can run a simple pattern: an Executive Sprinter from a Silicon Valley office to the championship parking in the morning, sedans for guests who need to leave early, and one reference for the whole day. Sprinters are US$200 per hour on the San Jose list, three hours minimum. See corporate car service, group transportation and sports event transportation.
Every journey can sit on one corporate account with monthly invoicing, and golf travel companies and agents can book for clients through travel-agent accounts. For executives and players' guests who need discretion, chauffeurs are briefed only on what the route requires and the desk signs NDAs on request. Elly8.net provides transportation, not security.
Rental car, rideshare, shuttle or chauffeur: an honest comparison
For a visitor who enjoys driving and holds a parking pass, a rental car from SJC or SFO is a reasonable choice, and the drive down the coast is part of the pleasure. Rideshare and taxis serve MRY and the peninsula's towns and are fine for short hops outside peak hours.
| Option | Cost | Best for | Weak point in championship week |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rental car with parking | Rental, fuel and parking | Confident drivers with a parking pass | You drive 130 to 170 km (81 to 106 mi) each way after a long day |
| Rideshare or taxi | Metered or app price | Short hops between Monterey, Carmel and Pebble Beach | Supply thins and prices can rise at close of play |
| Official championship parking and shuttle | Included with some ticket packages | Every spectator for the final approach | You still need to reach the parking area |
| Elly8.net chauffeur | SJC transfer from US$145; hourly from US$100 | Corporate hosts, groups, evenings, long days from Silicon Valley | Long-distance legs quoted in the web booker; book early |
A chauffeur makes sense when the drive home is the part of the day you would rather not do, when you are hosting, when a group needs to arrive together, or when children need car seats (provided on request). For the general comparisons, see chauffeur vs renting a car and chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft.
Before and after the championship
Visitors who stay on can combine the U.S. Open with California's wine and coast. Elly8.net covers San Francisco, Napa Valley, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Sacramento and Lake Tahoe, and the city-to-city car service quotes longer journeys between them. A wine country tour by chauffeured car is a natural Monday after a Sunday finish. Flights and hotels can be arranged through our travel partner BookingWorldwide.net; Elly8.net books the car.

Frequently asked questions
Can a chauffeur drop me at the entrance to Pebble Beach Golf Links?
Plan on the USGA's arrangements for the final approach. Premium ticket packages include parking with shuttle service to the championship entrance, and the chauffeur takes you to the parking or drop-off point your ticket names. Follow the instructions issued with your tickets, as access rules are set by the organiser.
How far is Pebble Beach from San Jose airport?
About 129 km (80 mi) on our routing, roughly 1 hour 40 minutes on a clear road and longer in championship traffic. Monterey Regional Airport is about 16 km (10 mi) from the course, and SFO about 170 km (106 mi).
How much does a car service cost for the U.S. Open?
From SJC to Mountain View a business sedan is US$145, and from SFO US$255, all-in per vehicle. Hourly cars start at US$100 with a three-hour minimum, the 8-hour full day at US$740 and the 10-hour day at US$900. Journeys to the Monterey Peninsula are quoted in the web booker before you pay.
Should I fly into SJC or SFO?
SJC is closer, about 129 km (80 mi) from the course against about 170 km (106 mi) from SFO, and its fixed transfer to Mountain View starts at US$145 against US$255 from SFO. SFO has more international and long-haul flights. If you are staying in Silicon Valley, SJC is usually simpler; for the peninsula itself, MRY is closest of all.
Can the chauffeur wait while I watch the golf?
Yes, on an hourly booking, the 8-hour full day or the 10-hour day. The chauffeur waits near the parking or drop-off area your ticket names and comes back when you message. For a long championship day from Silicon Valley, the 10-hour package is usually the right fit.
When should I book?
As soon as you hold tickets. Chauffeured vehicles on the peninsula are limited in championship week. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup; 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show, refunded to the original card.
Can you transport a corporate group with golf bags?
Yes. Tell the desk how many guests and bags, and we recommend the right mix, often an Executive Sprinter plus sedans for guests who leave early. Several vehicles can sit under one reference, invoiced monthly on a corporate account.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes, on request at the time of booking. Give the desk the ages of the children so the right seats are fitted before pickup.
