A Prague airport transfer booked through Elly8.net is a private chauffeur and vehicle at a fixed, all-in price, agreed before you fly and charged to your card in US dollars. Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) to the Old Town costs from US$95 in a business sedan to US$250 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle, with the chauffeur waiting in arrivals with your name and the luggage handled from the belt to the hotel door.
Rides in Prague are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Prague's historic centre was built long before cars, and much of the planning is about the last few hundred metres: which hotel entrance a car can reach, where to stop for the Castle, and how to get a group and its bags into the Old Town at night. This page covers the airport, the historic districts, the Christmas markets and arena nights, the day trips, and when the airport bus is the better choice.
How much is a car from Prague Airport to the Old Town?
A fixed Elly8.net transfer from Václav Havel Airport Prague to the Old Town costs from US$95 in a business sedan, US$125 in a business SUV, US$155 in a First Class SUV, US$170 in a First Class Sedan and US$250 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle, including chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet.
The airport is about 17 km (11 mi) from the Old Town, a drive of about 33 minutes on a clear road. The airport itself warns that reconstruction of the Aviatická intersection on the approach road means traffic restrictions and longer journeys at rush hour, so allow extra time for departures. The fare is fixed whatever the traffic does; parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. A round trip costs from US$185 in a business sedan to US$475 in an Executive Sprinter.

Prague has two passenger terminals. Terminal 2 handles flights within the Schengen area, so if you connect through Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam or Zurich you will land there; other international flights use Terminal 1. Give us your flight number when you book: the chauffeur tracks the landing and waits in the arrivals hall of the right terminal with a name board, and complimentary waiting after a tracked landing covers a slow passport queue or a late bag. Read more on Prague airport transfers and meet and greet.
The airport's official taxi service is run through the Uber Airport product, ordered in the app, at self-service kiosks or at staffed counters in each arrivals hall, according to Prague Airport; pick-up points are directly in front of the arrival halls of both terminals, and a six-digit PIN links you to the car. That works well for a quick solo ride. With a chauffeur, you skip the kiosk and the queue entirely: the person holding your name is already inside the hall.
For private and business aviation, give us the tail number or the handling agent, and the chauffeur meets you as the handler directs; see private jet and FBO transfers.
The historic centre: where a car can and cannot go
Prague's historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and its street plan shows it. The Old Town is a web of narrow, often one-way lanes; the Lesser Town climbs below the Castle on cobbles; and the most famous crossing of the Vltava has been off limits to traffic for decades. Prague City Tourism notes that cars stopped driving across Charles Bridge in 1965.
What that means for your transfer: the chauffeur drives to your hotel's own entrance where vehicles are allowed, or to the nearest point a car may stop, and helps with the bags for the final stretch. For hotels deep in the lanes around Old Town Square, tell us the hotel name when you book and we confirm the drop-off point in advance. At night and in the Christmas market season, when the squares are full, the drop-off may move to the edge of the Old Town.
Prague Castle. The Castle sits on its hill above the Lesser Town, and Prague Castle asks visitors not to bring large baggage into the Castle area. A car that waits is the natural answer on a travel day: leave the suitcases in the vehicle, visit the Castle, and continue to the airport or the next city afterwards.
Where you are staying: Old Town, Lesser Town and New Town
Old Town (Staré Město). Old Town Square, the Astronomical Clock and many boutique hotels in converted townhouses. Our airport fares are calculated to the Old Town.
Lesser Town (Malá Strana). Across Charles Bridge, below the Castle, with quiet hotels and steep cobbled streets. A short drive from the Old Town and quoted through the web booker.
New Town (Nové Město) and Wenceslas Square. The commercial heart, with the big international hotels, shopping and the main railway station within easy reach. For rail arrivals, see train station transfers.
Business districts. Offices further out, around the city's business parks, are reached easily by car; a full day of meetings is what the corporate roadshow day is for.
Christmas markets, the O2 arena and nights out
The Prague Christmas markets on Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square run from 28 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, daily from 10:00 to 22:00. They are beautiful and crowded, and the squares and the lanes around them fill on every evening of the season. For a market evening with dinner, the evening out and event night package, from US$425 in a business sedan to US$850 in an Executive Sprinter, keeps the car waiting nearby rather than circling the Old Town.
The O2 arena, the largest indoor arena in Czechia with room for about 18,000, hosts concerts and sport through the year. After a sold-out show, a pre-booked car with a set meeting point beats a crowd of people looking at ride-hailing apps; see concert transportation. For weddings, celebrations and private dinners, see event transportation and the wedding limousine page. The chauffeur follows local rules on the road and in the vehicle.
Prague car service by the hour costs US$85 an hour in a business sedan, US$110 in a business SUV, US$130 in a First Class SUV, US$140 in a First Class Sedan and US$170 in an Executive Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum. See hourly chauffeur.
Day trips: Kutna Hora and Karlovy Vary
Kutna Hora. The signature day trip, a 6-hour package to the medieval silver town about 82 km (51 mi) east of Prague. Kutná Hora has held UNESCO World Heritage status since 1995, and a chauffeur waiting between its sights makes the day easy. The day trip costs from US$470 in a business sedan, US$610 in a business SUV, US$720 in a First Class SUV and US$775 in a First Class Sedan to US$940 in an Executive Sprinter.
Karlovy Vary. The spa town in the west of the country is about 128 km (79 mi) from the Old Town, roughly an hour and forty minutes each way on a clear road. Karlovy Vary is known for its colonnades and its 15 healing springs, and it makes a long, relaxed day: a walk along the colonnades, lunch, a spa treatment if you have booked one, and the drive back in the evening. Book it as a full-day chauffeur, from US$630 in a business sedan to US$1,255 in an Executive Sprinter, or enter the route in the web booker for a fixed one-way transfer if you are staying on.
The private city highlights tour, from US$340 in a business sedan to US$680 in an Executive Sprinter, links the Castle, the Lesser Town, the river views and the New Town with a car waiting at each stop. See private city tours.
Prague is also a starting point for drives across Central Europe: Vienna is about 338 km (210 mi) by road, and Berlin, Munich and Budapest are all reachable in a day; see city to city car service.
Airport bus, taxi, rideshare or a chauffeur
| Option | Price | Time to the centre | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bus 59 to Nádraží Veleslavín, then metro A | 90-minute ticket, 50 CZK (46 CZK in the app) | About 35 min to the metro, then the metro ride | Solo travellers with light bags |
| Airport Express (AE) bus to the Main Railway Station | 200 CZK | About 45 min | Hotels near the main station |
| Uber Airport (the airport's official taxi) | App price | Traffic dependent | Short notice, one or two people |
| Elly8.net | From US$95 per vehicle, fixed | About 33 min, door to door | Families, groups, late flights, Old Town hotels, fixed budgets |
The honest view: Prague's public transport is cheap and good. Prague Integrated Transport lists bus 59 to the Nádraží Veleslavín metro station in about 35 minutes on a standard 90-minute ticket, bus 100 to the Zličín metro station in about 45 minutes, and the Airport Express to the Main Railway Station for 200 CZK. Luggage up to 25 by 45 by 70 cm travels free on standard lines. If you are travelling alone with a carry-on, take the bus. Uber Airport is quick and simple for one or two people.
A pre-booked chauffeur wins when the bags, the group or the hour make public transport hard work: a family with children who need child seats, four or more people with luggage, where one Executive Sprinter at US$250 costs less per person than separate cars, a late arrival when you would rather not navigate the metro, or a hotel in the Old Town lanes where knowing the right drop-off point saves a walk over cobbles with suitcases. See chauffeur vs taxi and chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft.
Corporate travel and groups
Companies bringing teams or clients to Prague can open a corporate account with fixed fares for every traveller, monthly invoicing and NDAs on request. The corporate roadshow day, from US$765 in a business sedan to US$1,530 in an Executive Sprinter, keeps one chauffeur with you between meetings. For incentive groups and conference delegates, see group transportation and conference transportation. Hotels and travel agents book guests on account through hotel accounts and travel agent accounts.
Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley, all from licensed, commercially insured operators. See the fleet.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a transfer from Prague Airport to the Old Town?
A fixed Elly8.net transfer from Václav Havel Airport Prague to the Old Town costs from US$95 in a business sedan, US$125 in a business SUV and US$250 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. It includes the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet; parking and extra waiting are billed at cost.
How long is the drive from Prague Airport to the centre?
About 33 minutes on a clear road for the 17 km (11 mi). Rush hours, and the reconstruction of the Aviatická intersection near the airport, can add time. The fare is fixed, so traffic changes the clock, not the price.
Which terminal will I arrive at?
Terminal 2 handles flights within the Schengen area, such as connections through Frankfurt, Paris or Amsterdam; other international flights use Terminal 1. The chauffeur tracks your flight from the flight number and waits in the right arrivals hall with a name board.
Can the car drive right to my Old Town hotel?
Often, but not always. Many Old Town lanes are narrow or one-way, and some hotels can only be reached on foot for the final stretch. Tell us the hotel name when you book, and we confirm the nearest drop-off point and help with the bags.
How do I get from Prague to Karlovy Vary?
Book a full-day chauffeur, from US$630 in a business sedan, for a day at the spa town and back, or a fixed one-way transfer through the web booker if you are staying on. The drive is about 128 km (79 mi), roughly an hour and forty minutes each way on a clear road.
Are child seats available?
Yes. Ask for child or booster seats when you book and give the children's ages, and the partner fits them before pickup. A Business SUV or Executive Sprinter gives a family room for seats, strollers and luggage, and the chauffeur helps load everything at the kerb.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation more than 72 hours before pickup. A 10% fee applies at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. Refunds go to the original card used for the booking.
Do you take groups?
Yes. An Executive Sprinter from US$250 carries a group with luggage from the airport to the Old Town in one vehicle, and several vehicles can be booked together for larger parties. Corporate accounts add monthly invoicing and NDAs on request.
