When a group outgrows an SUV, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is the vehicle that keeps everyone together: twelve forward-facing seats, standing headroom, a proper luggage area and a single chauffeur who handles the airport, the traffic and the parking. Elly8.net books chauffeur-driven Sprinters in 141 cities across the USA, Canada and Europe, and we offer two versions.
The Executive Sprinter seats up to 12 passengers with up to 12 bags and appears on every city price list at a fixed, all-in price: airport transfers, by the hour, full days and roadshow days. The Jet Sprinter is the VIP cabin: six captain's chairs and room for four bags, built for executives, artists and families who want a moving lounge. It is priced in the web booker for your exact trip. Every price includes the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity.
How much does a Sprinter van with a driver cost?
An Elly8.net Executive Sprinter with chauffeur costs US$170 to US$220 an hour depending on the city, with a three-hour minimum. Airport transfers are fixed: from US$325 at Las Vegas or Nashville, US$445 at LAX, US$550 from JFK to Midtown and US$510 from Heathrow to Mayfair. The Jet Sprinter is priced in the web booker.
Sprinter prices are per vehicle, not per seat, so the price per person falls as the group grows. Twelve people from JFK to Midtown in one Executive Sprinter pay about US$46 each, with the gratuity already included.
| City and route | Executive Sprinter one way | By the hour (3-hour min) | Full day (8 hours) |
|---|---|---|---|
| New York: JFK to Midtown | US$550 | US$210 | US$1,550 |
| New York: LaGuardia to Midtown | US$380 | US$210 | US$1,550 |
| Los Angeles: LAX to Beverly Hills | US$445 | US$210 | US$1,550 |
| Chicago: O'Hare to the Loop | US$560 | US$200 | US$1,475 |
| Miami: MIA to Miami Beach | US$470 | US$200 | US$1,475 |
| Las Vegas: LAS to the Strip | US$325 | US$190 | US$1,400 |
| Nashville: BNA to Broadway | US$325 | US$190 | US$1,400 |
| Toronto: Pearson to downtown | US$405 | US$220 | US$1,620 |
| London: Heathrow to Mayfair | US$510 | US$210 | US$1,550 |
| Paris: CDG to the 8th | US$445 | US$180 | US$1,325 |
Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. Airport transfers include meet and greet inside arrivals and complimentary waiting after a tracked landing.
Executive Sprinter vs Jet Sprinter
Both are Mercedes-Benz Sprinters with a professional chauffeur. The difference is the cabin and what it is for.
| Executive Sprinter | Jet Sprinter | |
|---|---|---|
| Passengers | up to 12 | up to 6 |
| Bags | up to 12 | up to 4 |
| Seating | forward-facing rows | captain's chairs, VIP cabin |
| Best for | airport groups, roadshows with a team, tours, guest shuttles, crews | executives, artists, families, meetings on the move |
| How it is priced | fixed on every city price list, or the web booker | web booker |
Choose the Executive Sprinter when the job is moving people and luggage: a team arriving for a trade show, a family of ten with skis or golf bags, a wedding party, a film crew. Choose the Jet Sprinter when the job is the ride itself: a CEO and four colleagues working between meetings, a band between soundcheck and the hotel, a family who wants space, privacy and reclining seats for a long transfer. For a single traveller or a couple, a First Class Sedan is quieter and cheaper; compare every class on the fleet page.
Sprinter or two SUVs?
This is the most useful comparison on the page, because the answer is often closer than people expect. A Business SUV carries up to six with six bags. Two SUVs carry the same twelve people as one Sprinter.
| Route | One Executive Sprinter | Two Business SUVs | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| JFK to Midtown Manhattan | US$550 | US$550 (2 x US$275) | same price; Sprinter keeps the group together |
| LAX to Beverly Hills | US$445 | US$450 (2 x US$225) | almost identical |
| O'Hare to the Loop | US$560 | US$560 (2 x US$280) | same price |
| Las Vegas airport to the Strip | US$325 | US$330 (2 x US$165) | almost identical |
| Pearson to downtown Toronto | US$405 | US$410 (2 x US$205) | almost identical |
So the decision is not really price. Choose one Sprinter when the group must arrive together, when someone is presenting or briefing on the way, or when luggage is bulky. Choose two SUVs when the group will split up at the destination, when one car must leave early, or when the drop-off is a narrow street or a residential driveway where a Sprinter cannot stop easily. For seven to twelve people with very little luggage, both work; for twelve people with twelve large cases, the Sprinter is the comfortable choice.
What groups use a Sprinter for
Airport arrivals for teams and families. Flight tracking, a meet and greet inside arrivals with a name board, and complimentary waiting after a tracked landing, so a delayed group flight costs nothing extra. See airport transfers.
Trade shows and conventions. Teams arriving for the Las Vegas Convention Center, which the LVCVA lists at 4.6 million square feet, or McCormick Place in Chicago, with 2.6 million square feet of exhibit halls, need daily runs between the hotel and the show floor. Book the week as hourly blocks or full days. See conference transportation and Las Vegas limo service.
Roadshows with a deal team. A corporate roadshow day in an Executive Sprinter is ten hours with one chauffeur and a planned route: US$1,890 in New York or London, US$1,800 in Chicago or Miami, US$1,980 in Toronto.
Tours and day trips. Every city price list has a signature day trip, and the Sprinter is the right size for families and friends travelling together: the Hamptons from New York (US$1,935, 10 hours), Niagara Falls from Toronto (US$2,025, 10 hours), Hoover Dam and Lake Mead from Las Vegas (US$1,050, 6 hours), and Champagne from Paris (US$1,660, 10 hours). See private city tours and wine tours.
Production crews. Crew moves between unit base and location, with kit in the back. See film and production transportation.
Ski and golf trips. Sprinters carry skis, boards and golf bags inside, which SUVs often cannot for a full group. Ask the desk to note sports equipment so the partner configures the rear.
Chauffeured Sprinter vs renting a Sprinter and driving it yourself
Searches for "Sprinter van rental" mix two very different things: renting the van and driving it, and hiring it with a chauffeur. Self-drive is cheaper on paper and suits a group with a confident driver, plenty of time and somewhere to park.
It costs more than the daily rate suggests. Someone in the group drives, does not drink, finds parking at every stop and returns the van with fuel. Large vans are harder to park in Manhattan, central London or Paris than any car, and the driver misses the point of the trip.
A chauffeured Sprinter costs more per hour and removes all of that: the chauffeur knows the airport, the hotel driveways and the loading zones, and waits while you are inside. See chauffeur vs car rental and chauffeur vs airport shuttle for the full comparison.
For larger groups that need more than one Sprinter, or a coach, see group transportation. Buses used for interstate trips in the United States carry a USDOT number that you can look up on the federal FMCSA SAFER Company Snapshot.
Practical details before you book a Sprinter
A Sprinter is longer and taller than any car, and a few practical points decide whether the day runs smoothly.
Pickup points. Hotel driveways and porte-cochères usually take a Sprinter, but some boutique hotels, townhouse addresses and underground garages do not. Give us the exact pickup address and we confirm where the chauffeur will stop; for a narrow residential street, a corner or the nearest main road is often easier for everyone.
Old city centres. In the historic centres of Italian cities such as Rome and Florence, vehicle access to many streets is restricted, and the chauffeur will stop at the nearest permitted point and walk you in. Allow a few extra minutes and tell us if anyone in the group has limited mobility.
Luggage. The 12-bag guide assumes one large case each plus small carry-ons. Count golf bags, skis, strollers and equipment cases separately and tell the desk; for a large group with heavy luggage, a second vehicle for bags is sometimes the calmer plan.
Long days. For a ten-hour roadshow or a day trip, the chauffeur needs meal breaks. We build those into the plan around your meetings or your lunch stop, so the vehicle is always ready when you walk out.
Changes on the day. Call the 24/7 desk to add a stop or an hour. Time beyond the booked block is billed at cost at the same hourly rate.
Who operates the Sprinter
In Toronto and the GTA, Sprinters run on the Elly8 fleet and chauffeurs. Everywhere else, rides are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Partner vehicles are four model years or newer.
How booking works
- Enter the pickup and drop-off, with the flight number for airport pickups, or choose "by the hour" and list the stops.
- Choose the vehicle: Executive Sprinter on the price list, or Jet Sprinter in the web booker. Add passengers, bags, child seats and sports equipment.
- Reserve now and pay by card. The confirmation arrives by email and the chauffeur's details follow before pickup.
Companies moving teams regularly open a corporate account with monthly invoicing; travel agents and hotels booking for clients use travel-agent and hotel accounts. NDAs are available on request.
Cancellation is the same for every booking: more than 72 hours before pickup, free; 72 hours or less, 10%; 48 hours or less, 50%; 24 hours or less, or a no-show, 100%. Refunds go to the original card.

Frequently asked questions
How many people fit in a Sprinter van with a driver?
The Executive Sprinter seats up to 12 passengers with up to 12 bags. The Jet Sprinter seats up to 6 in captain's chairs with room for 4 bags. For more than 12 people, book two Sprinters or a Sprinter and an SUV, or ask the 24/7 desk about a coach for larger groups.
Is the Sprinter price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle. A JFK to Midtown transfer in an Executive Sprinter is US$550 whether four or twelve people ride, all-in with the chauffeur, taxes and standard gratuity. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost, and nothing is charged per head.
What is the difference between an Executive Sprinter and a Jet Sprinter?
The Executive Sprinter is built to move a group and luggage, with forward-facing rows for up to 12. The Jet Sprinter is a VIP cabin with six captain's chairs and space for four bags, for executives and private travel. The Executive Sprinter is on fixed city price lists; the Jet Sprinter is priced in the web booker.
Can the Sprinter meet us inside the airport?
Yes. Airport pickups include flight tracking, a meet and greet inside arrivals with a name board, and complimentary waiting after a tracked landing. The chauffeur then walks the group to the Sprinter in the parking area the airport assigns to pre-booked vehicles.
Can we hire a Sprinter for a full day?
Yes. Every city price list has a full-day chauffeur package of eight hours, priced 8% below the hourly rate: US$1,550 for an Executive Sprinter in New York, Los Angeles or London, US$1,475 in Chicago or Miami, and US$1,620 in Toronto. Longer days are booked by the hour, up to twelve hours.
Does the Sprinter have room for skis or golf bags?
The Executive Sprinter's rear luggage area usually takes skis, snowboards and golf bags for a group. Note the equipment when you book so the partner prepares the rear area, and count large cases and equipment together against the 12-bag guide, adding a second vehicle if needed.
Are child seats available in a Sprinter?
Yes, on request when you book. Tell us the age and weight of each child so the right infant seat, child seat or booster is fitted before pickup. Families of eight to twelve travelling with young children often find a Sprinter easier than two cars.
Is a Sprinter cheaper than two SUVs?
Usually about the same: from JFK to Midtown both cost US$550, and at LAX the Sprinter is US$445 against US$450 for two SUVs. Choose the Sprinter to keep the group together and the SUVs when the group will split up at the destination.
