A Charlotte Sprinter van rental with Elly8.net means a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a professional chauffeur, not a self-drive van: the 12-seat Executive Sprinter is US$315 from Charlotte Douglas (CLT) to Uptown, US$190 an hour with a three-hour minimum, and US$1,400 for an eight-hour day, fixed and all-in. It suits teams, wedding parties, golf groups, families with luggage and anyone heading to a race or a game together.
Charlotte rewards the group vehicle more than most cities, because its business districts, stadiums and lake towns are spread out and the big event days bring heavy traffic. This guide covers the two Sprinters in the fleet, the neighbourhoods and routes that come up most, the traffic to plan around and what each kind of booking costs. Rides in Charlotte are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.

Not the bus: a note on the name
Search for "Sprinter" in Charlotte and you may find the city bus. The airport's own ground transportation page lists a "CATS Sprinter Service", which is the public transit authority's bus to the airport, not a chartered van. It is a good option for a single traveller with light bags; check CATS for the current route, times and fare before you travel.
This guide is about the other kind of Sprinter: a private Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van with a chauffeur, booked for your group alone.
Which Sprinter to book
Executive Sprinter (up to 12 passengers, 12 bags). The fixed-price workhorse. Forward-facing leather seats, standing headroom and room for a bag per person. It is the vehicle for team arrivals at CLT, wedding parties, golf groups and game days. See Sprinter van with driver.
Jet Sprinter (up to 6 passengers, 4 bags). A VIP cabin with captain's chairs, for executives or a small group who want space to talk or work on the move. It is priced in the web booker for your date and route.
When a Sprinter is not the right call. For up to six people, a business SUV (US$160 from CLT, US$120 an hour) or First Class SUV (US$195, US$145 an hour) is cheaper and easier to bring into tight hotel driveways. For more than twelve, book two vehicles under one reference, or see group transportation. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer; see the fleet for every class.
Charlotte neighbourhoods and the routes groups book
Uptown. The central business district around Trade and Tryon streets: bank towers, the main hotel cluster, the Charlotte Convention Center, Spectrum Center, Bank of America Stadium and the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Most group trips start or end here.
South End. Just south of Uptown along the light rail, with offices, apartments, breweries and restaurants. A common first stop for group dinners and birthday nights.
NoDa and Plaza Midwood. Arts, bars and music venues north and east of Uptown. An hourly Sprinter covers a dinner in one and a show in the other.
SouthPark and Ballantyne. SouthPark is the upscale retail and hotel district; Ballantyne in south Charlotte is a large corporate campus area near the South Carolina line. Company offsites and client days often run between them and Uptown.
Lake Norman. North of the city, with lakeside homes, restaurants and marinas. Groups book Sprinters for lake days and weddings there; give the desk the exact address, since some properties are down long private roads.
Concord. Northeast of Charlotte and home to Charlotte Motor Speedway, which shapes the city's busiest weekend of the year.
Race days, game days and the traffic to plan around
The Coca-Cola 600. Charlotte Motor Speedway lists the Coca-Cola 600 on May 30, 2027, with support races on May 28. Race-day traffic into Concord is heavy for hours before and after. Book hourly or the eight-hour Full-day chauffeur, agree a pickup point with the chauffeur in advance, and expect a patient exit. A Sprinter keeps the whole group together, which matters when phones die and parking lots look the same.
Panthers, Charlotte FC and bowl week. Bank of America Stadium in Uptown hosts the Panthers and Charlotte FC, and the Duke's Mayo Bowl on December 26, 2026. Game days close streets around the stadium and fill the Uptown decks. The five-hour Evening out & event night, US$950 in the Sprinter, covers dinner, the game and the ride back; see sports event transportation.
Concerts and the Hornets. Spectrum Center hosts the Hornets and arena concerts. Arena exits are slow on the surrounding streets, and a waiting Sprinter saves the group from splitting across app rides. See concert transportation.
Weekday peaks. The interstates into Uptown and the I-485 loop are slow at rush hour. CLT to Uptown is about 19 minutes on a clear road; at the evening peak or after a game, the desk allows 35 to 45 minutes. The fixed price does not change.
Weddings, offsites and convention shuttles
Beyond race weekends, three kinds of Charlotte booking keep Sprinters busy all year.
Weddings. Ceremonies run from Uptown hotel ballrooms to country venues outside the city and lakeside receptions at Lake Norman. A Sprinter carries the wedding party between the getting-ready suite, photos and the ceremony with standing headroom that protects dresses, and one or two more run guest shuttles between the hotel block and the venue. Each run takes up to twelve. Five hours is US$950 per Sprinter; a long day is better as the eight-hour Full-day chauffeur at US$1,400. See wedding limousine.
Company offsites. A team flying in for two days at a SouthPark or Ballantyne office needs the airport run, a shuttle to the venue each morning and a dinner on the first night. The CLT round trip is US$600, a three-hour morning block US$570 and the five-hour dinner night US$950, all on one booking.
Convention shuttles. Most attendees at the Charlotte Convention Center walk from Uptown hotels, but hotels near the airport or in SouthPark are not within walking distance. A Sprinter on a fixed loop at US$190 an hour, with sedans on standby for speakers, keeps a delegation moving; see conference transportation.
In every case, the plan that works is a written run sheet: each address, each time, who rides in which vehicle and one contact for the day. Send it to the desk two weeks out and the chauffeurs work from it.
Day trips by Sprinter
Charlotte has no fixed day-trip package on the price list, but the hourly rate covers any day out, and you can choose up to twelve hours at checkout.
Biltmore and Asheville. The Biltmore Estate in Asheville is about 130 miles (210 km) from Charlotte, so a visit is a full day. Ten to twelve hours in the Executive Sprinter costs US$1,900 to US$2,280 for up to twelve people, about US$158 to US$190 each. Buy estate tickets in advance.
Lake Norman. An afternoon at the lake, timed to a lunch or a boat charter, fits a four- or five-hour booking: US$760 to US$950.
A Charlotte highlights tour. The four-hour private city highlights tour, US$760 in the Sprinter, can link Uptown, the NASCAR Hall of Fame, South End and the leafy streets of Myers Park; see private city tours.
On to another city. Charleston, Raleigh and Atlanta are all Elly8.net cities. Point-to-point trips between them are priced in the web booker through city to city car service.
Booking tips for Sprinter groups
Book race and game weekends first. Sprinters are among the first vehicles to sell out for the Coca-Cola 600 and big game days. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup, so booking early costs nothing if plans change in time. Inside 72 hours the charge is 10%, inside 48 hours 50%, and inside 24 hours or for a no-show 100%, refunded to the original card.
Count bags, not just people. Twelve people with twelve suitcases fit. Twelve people with golf bags and suitcases may not. Tell the desk exactly what you are carrying.
Group the airport arrivals. If the group lands on several flights, send the desk every flight number. One Sprinter can wait for a cluster of arrivals; widely spread flights are better served by SUVs.
Name one contact. The chauffeur's name and contact arrive by email before pickup. Share them with one or two people in the group.
Agree on-board rules. The chauffeur follows North Carolina rules, including on alcohol. Plan drinking at the venues, not in the vehicle.
Ask for child seats in advance. They are provided on request; give the number and ages.

Frequently asked questions
Can you rent a Sprinter van in Charlotte without a driver?
Elly8.net books Sprinters with a professional chauffeur only, not self-drive rentals. The chauffeur handles the driving, parking and event-day routes, and the price is fixed and all-in. The Executive Sprinter is US$190 an hour with a three-hour minimum, or US$315 between CLT and Uptown.
How many people fit in a Sprinter?
The Executive Sprinter seats up to twelve passengers with room for twelve bags. The Jet Sprinter has a VIP cabin with captain's chairs for up to six passengers and four bags. For more than twelve, book two vehicles on one reference with one contact on the 24/7 desk.
How much is a Sprinter to the Coca-Cola 600?
Most groups book the eight-hour Full-day chauffeur, US$1,400 in the Executive Sprinter, or hourly at US$190 an hour. Race-day traffic into Concord is slow before and after the race, so allow plenty of time. The Coca-Cola 600 is listed for May 30, 2027; book early.
Is the CATS Sprinter the same thing?
No. The CATS Sprinter listed on the airport's ground transportation page is a public bus serving CLT, shared with other riders on a published route. An Elly8.net Executive Sprinter is a private Mercedes-Benz van with a chauffeur for your group alone, meeting you inside baggage claim.
Can the Sprinter collect us from CLT?
Yes. CLT to Uptown is US$315 one way, the same price in either direction, and US$600 round trip. The chauffeur tracks the flight and meets the group inside baggage claim with a name board. Complimentary waiting after a tracked landing is included.
Can we take a Sprinter to Asheville for the day?
Yes, by the hour. You can choose up to twelve hours at checkout. Asheville and the Biltmore Estate are about 130 miles (210 km) from Charlotte, so ten to twelve hours is typical: US$1,900 to US$2,280 in the Executive Sprinter for up to twelve people.
