When people search for a Miami Sprinter van rental, most of them want a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a professional driver, not a tall van to steer across the MacArthur Causeway themselves. With Elly8.net the Executive Sprinter seats up to 12 passengers with room for 12 bags, and the price is fixed before you travel: US$470 from Miami International Airport (MIA) to Miami Beach, US$200 an hour as directed with a 3-hour minimum, or US$1,475 for a full 8-hour day.
Elly8.net does not rent vans for self-drive. Rides in Miami are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Partner vans are four model years old or newer. This guide covers what a Sprinter is good at in Miami, what it costs on each kind of trip, and when a pair of SUVs or a different vehicle is the smarter booking.
How much does a Sprinter van with driver cost in Miami?
An Elly8.net Executive Sprinter in Miami costs US$470 from MIA to Miami Beach, US$665 from Fort Lauderdale (FLL), US$510 from Opa-locka (OPF), US$200 an hour with a 3-hour minimum, US$1,000 for a 5-hour evening and US$1,475 for an 8-hour day. Every price is per vehicle and all-in.
All-in means the chauffeur, the van, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet are inside the number. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost, so a day with a paid garage at a venue adds that garage fee and nothing else. The fare does not move if the causeway is jammed or the flight lands late.
| Sprinter trip in Miami | Fixed price | What is included |
|---|---|---|
| MIA to Miami Beach, one way | US$470 | Flight tracking, meet and greet inside arrivals |
| MIA to Miami Beach, round trip | US$895 | Both legs on one reservation |
| FLL to Miami Beach, one way | US$665 | Useful when group airfares are cheaper into FLL |
| OPF to Miami Beach, one way | US$510 | Private and charter arrivals |
| By the hour, as directed | US$200 an hour | 3-hour minimum, any stops |
| Private city highlights tour | US$800 | 4 hours of sightseeing with photo stops |
| Evening out and event night | US$1,000 | 5 hours, chauffeur waits while you are inside |
| Full-day chauffeur | US$1,475 | 8 hours at your disposal |
| Corporate roadshow day | US$1,800 | 10 hours with a planned meeting route |
| Florida Keys day trip to Islamorada | US$1,840 | 10 hours down the Overseas Highway |
Split twelve ways, the MIA run works out to under US$40 a head, which is often less than two or three separate app rides once bags and staggered pickup times are added in. The live price panel, with every vehicle class side by side, is on the Miami car service page.
Sprinter, two SUVs or something else: choosing by people and bags
The right vehicle depends less on the headcount than on the luggage and on whether the group needs to split up during the day. These are the classes most Miami groups compare, with the capacities from our fleet page:
- Business SUV or van: up to 6 passengers and 6 bags, in a Suburban, Yukon XL or similar.
- First Class SUV: up to 6 passengers and 6 bags, in an Escalade, Navigator or similar.
- Executive Sprinter: up to 12 passengers and 12 bags, with standing headroom and individual seats.
- Jet Sprinter: up to 6 passengers in captain's chairs, priced in the web booker for clients who want a lounge on wheels.
One detail of the Miami price list is worth knowing. From MIA to Miami Beach, two Business SUVs cost US$235 each, exactly the same US$470 as one Sprinter. Two SUVs make sense when the group is going to two different hotels, say one in Brickell and one on Collins Avenue, or when half the party lands on a later flight. One Sprinter makes sense when everyone is going to the same place and you want the group to arrive together.
By the hour the maths tips the other way. Two Business SUVs at US$125 each cost US$250 an hour against US$200 for one Sprinter, and over a full day two SUVs come to US$1,840 against US$1,475. For a bachelor party, a family reunion or a client group moving as one, the van is the cheaper and simpler choice. For groups above 12, book two Sprinters and the desk schedules them to the same door; our group transportation page explains how multi-vehicle moves are coordinated.
If the group wants a celebration vehicle rather than a comfortable shuttle, a party bus or a stretch SUV limousine may fit better. We compare those in our guide to the Miami limo bus.
The Miami routes groups book a Sprinter for
MIA to Miami Beach and the hotels on Collins Avenue
This is the most common Sprinter trip in the city: about 15 mi (24 km) and roughly 30 minutes on a clear road. The chauffeur tracks the flight, waits inside arrivals with a name board and walks the group to the van at the arrivals curb. Families clearing US customs after an international flight benefit most, because complimentary waiting after a tracked landing absorbs a slow passport line. Our airport transfers page explains the meeting routine at every Elly8.net airport.
FLL to Miami Beach when the airfares are cheaper
Group fares into Fort Lauderdale are often lower, but the drive is longer: about 27 mi (43 km) and around 41 minutes with clear roads, much more on I-95 at rush hour. The Sprinter price is US$665 one way or US$1,265 for the round trip. If the group is staying in Fort Lauderdale first, the Fort Lauderdale car service page has its own Sprinter prices from the airport to the beach.
Opa-locka for private flyers and their entourage
Miami-Opa Locka Executive (OPF) is about 17 mi (28 km) from Miami Beach. A Sprinter from OPF costs US$510 and suits a charter group heading to Bal Harbour, Surfside or Sunny Isles, with the crew's bags and the golf clubs in one vehicle. Give the desk the tail number and the FBO when you book.
PortMiami on cruise days
A Sprinter is the vehicle that makes cruise mornings easy for multi-generation families: twelve seats, twelve cases and a door-to-terminal drop. Cruise transfers are priced in the web booker in every class. Our guide to Miami airport to cruise port transfer timing covers which terminal each line uses and when to land, and the MIA to cruise port shuttle vs private car comparison sets the van against the cruise line bus and a taxi.
Hard Rock Stadium, Kaseya Center and race weekend
Game nights and concerts are where a waiting van earns its price. The evening out and event night package, US$1,000 for five hours, covers dinner before a show at Kaseya Center in Downtown or a game at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, with the chauffeur parked up and ready at an agreed exit. For the Formula 1 Hard Rock Miami Grand Prix, which the official race site lists for April 30 to May 2, 2027, drop-off zones are set by the promoter, so book early and expect the desk to agree a pickup point a short walk from the gates.
The Florida Keys
The signature day trip runs about 87 mi (140 km) down the Overseas Highway to Islamorada and back over 10 hours, fixed at US$1,840 in a Sprinter. With twelve people and one road home, this is the trip where one van clearly beats two cars. Groups going all the way to Key West can price a one-way transfer in the web booker and look at the Key West car service page for rides once there.
When Miami traffic decides your schedule
A Sprinter is only as good as the timing around it, and Miami has a few patterns the desk plans for every week.
- Weekday rush hours. I-95 between Fort Lauderdale and Downtown, and the causeways onto Miami Beach, are slowest on weekday mornings and late afternoons. We add buffer to any pickup that has to meet a dinner reservation or a boarding time.
- Friday and Saturday nights on South Beach. Hotel driveways along Collins Avenue and Ocean Drive fill with valet traffic. A van needs a proper curb, so the chauffeur may stage around the corner and call when you are ready.
- Cruise mornings. Several ships turning around on the same day push traffic onto Port Boulevard and the bridge to the port. Leave earlier than the app estimate suggests.
- Event weeks. Art Basel Miami Beach runs December 4 to 6, 2026, according to Art Basel, and the whole of Miami Art Week clogs the causeways between Miami Beach, Wynwood and the Design District. The Miami International Boat Show follows on February 10 to 14, 2027, and the South Beach Wine and Food Festival on February 25 to 28, 2027. Book vans for those weeks well ahead.
Parking is the other reason groups choose a chauffeur. The City of Miami Beach charges US$4.00 an hour for on-street meters in South Beach and in the Entertainment District, where enforcement runs 24 hours a day, according to the city's parking meter rates. A self-drive van also has to find a garage tall enough to take it, which rules out many hotel garages. With a chauffeur, the van drops you at the door and parking is the driver's problem.
Neighbourhood notes for group pickups
A van pickup in Miami goes smoothly when the desk knows the building, not just the address. A few notes we give chauffeurs:
- Brickell and Downtown. Many towers have a covered drive designed for sedans. For a Sprinter, the street-side loading area is often easier, so tell us the building name.
- Wynwood. Street parking is scarce and the blocks around the murals fill with visitors. We agree a corner rather than a door, and the chauffeur circles if needed.
- Design District. Shopping days with several stops suit hourly booking; the van holds the bags so the group does not carry them between boutiques.
- Coconut Grove and Coral Gables. Leafy residential streets and restaurant rows; the Sprinter suits family dinners and estate events where several couples travel together.
- Bal Harbour. The shops have valet lanes built for cars; the van usually waits at a nearby curb.
- Doral. Large hotels and golf resorts near the airport, where conference groups often need a shuttle loop rather than a single ride.
For anything not on the price list, such as a Coral Gables home to a Sunny Isles restaurant and back, the web booker prices any address in every class.
How a Sprinter compares with a taxi van, app rides and the bus
There is no single right answer for every group, and sometimes a Sprinter is more vehicle than you need. Miami-Dade taxis are metered, and MIA's published rates add a 30 percent surcharge for larger vehicles such as SUVs and vans, plus a US$2.00 airport origination fee, according to the MIA taxi and ride app page. Two or three app rides can work for a group that does not mind arriving separately. The Route 150 bus from the airport Metrorail station to Miami Beach costs US$2.25, which is unbeatable for one person with a carry-on.
The Sprinter wins when the group has real luggage, when children need seats fitted before arrival, when the plan has several stops, or when the group wants to arrive together and leave together. For a deeper look at the trade-offs, see chauffeur vs taxi and chauffeur vs renting a car.
How to book a Sprinter in Miami
- Enter the trip. Pickup and drop-off, the flight number for an airport pickup, or the ship and terminal for PortMiami. For hourly bookings, list the stops in order.
- Choose the Executive Sprinter and add the passenger count, the number of checked bags and any oversized items such as strollers, golf bags or surfboards. Request child seats with the age and weight of each child.
- Press Reserve now on a fixed price, or use the web booker for any other address. Payment is by card and the confirmation arrives by email with your pickup details.
The cancellation terms are the same in every city: free more than 72 hours before pickup, 10 percent at 72 hours or less, 50 percent at 48 hours or less, and 100 percent at 24 hours or less or for a no-show, refunded to the original card. The details are on our cancellation policy page, and the Sprinter van with driver service page explains what the van includes in every city.

Frequently asked questions
Is self-drive Sprinter van rental available in Miami?
Not through Elly8.net. We book chauffeur-driven Sprinters only, so the price includes a professional driver, the van, taxes and standard gratuity. There is no rental insurance, fuel or tall-van parking to arrange, and nobody in the group has to drive.
How many people fit in an Executive Sprinter?
Up to 12 passengers and 12 standard bags. For a group of 12 with cruise luggage or golf bags, tell the desk the real number of items. If it is more than the van takes comfortably, we suggest adding an SUV for the luggage or splitting the group into two vehicles.
Is a Sprinter cheaper than two SUVs in Miami?
From MIA to Miami Beach the price is the same: US$470 for one Sprinter or for two Business SUVs at US$235 each. By the hour the Sprinter is cheaper, US$200 against US$250 for two SUVs, and over an 8-hour day it saves US$365. Two SUVs win when the group needs to split up.
Does the Sprinter driver wait if our flight is late?
Yes. Airport pickups include flight tracking, so the chauffeur adjusts to the actual landing time, and you get complimentary waiting after a tracked landing. The chauffeur meets the group inside arrivals with a name board and walks everyone to the van once bags are collected or customs is cleared.
Can we use the Sprinter for a day in the Florida Keys?
Yes. The Islamorada day trip is fixed at US$1,840 for 10 hours in an Executive Sprinter, with time for lunch and stops along the Overseas Highway. Longer trips to Key West can be priced in the web booker as a one-way transfer or as separate bookings for each day.
How far ahead should we book a Sprinter for Art Basel or race weekend?
As early as you can. Sprinters are among the first vehicles to sell out during Miami Art Week, the boat show and the Grand Prix. Booking more than 72 hours ahead also keeps the cancellation free, so there is little downside to reserving as soon as your dates are set.
