A Kelowna limo service from Elly8.net is a pre-booked sedan, SUV or Sprinter at a fixed, all-in price. From Kelowna International Airport (YLW) to downtown Kelowna the fare runs from US$110 in a Business Sedan to US$290 in an Executive Sprinter, and a private 8-hour Okanagan wineries day starts at US$810, with the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet included. All Elly8.net prices on this page are in US dollars.
Kelowna bookings are mostly two kinds of trip: airport transfers to hotels, lake homes and resorts, and wine-country days on both sides of Okanagan Lake. Weddings, golf weekends and ski trips to Big White make up much of the rest. Rides in Kelowna are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.
How much is a car service from YLW to downtown Kelowna?
An Elly8.net car from YLW to downtown Kelowna costs US$110 in a Business Sedan, US$145 in a Business SUV, US$195 in a First Class Sedan, US$180 in a First Class SUV and US$290 in an Executive Sprinter. The round trip starts at US$210. Prices are fixed and all-in; parking is billed at cost.
YLW is north of the city, about 16 km (10 mi) from downtown, roughly 20 minutes on a clear road via Highway 97. Tourism Kelowna describes the airport as about 15 minutes from downtown. The highway is the city's main spine, so the drive slows at the afternoon peak and in summer, when visitor traffic fills the corridor past the shopping centres.
| Route | Distance | Clear-road drive | Business Sedan | Business SUV | First Class Sedan | First Class SUV | Executive Sprinter |

Arriving at YLW: where your chauffeur meets you
Tourism Kelowna says YLW handles more than 70 commercial flights a day, with direct flights from cities including Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and Victoria, plus seasonal routes. The terminal is compact, so most of the wait after landing is at the baggage belt, and in summer that belt can carry a lot of golf bags.
With an Elly8.net booking, the chauffeur tracks your flight, waits inside arrivals with a name board and walks you to the car. Complimentary waiting starts after a tracked landing. Send your flight number when you book, and tell us about golf clubs, ski bags or bikes so the right vehicle is sent. The airport transfers and airport meet and greet pages explain how delays are handled.
Many visitors are not going downtown at all. Lake Country wineries and homes are close to the airport, the Mission and the lakeshore resorts are south of downtown, and West Kelowna is across the bridge on the west side of the lake. Any of these is quoted in the web booker.
Bus, taxi, rideshare or a pre-booked car from YLW
Tourism Kelowna says car rentals, shuttles, taxis and rideshares are all available at the terminal, and BC Transit serves the airport. Here is the honest comparison. Transit fares are in Canadian dollars; Elly8.net prices are in US dollars.
| Option | Price, YLW to downtown | Time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| BC Transit (Route 23, then RapidBus 97) | C$3.00 single ride, C$6.00 DayPASS | longer, with a change at UBC Okanagan | One traveller, light bags, no rush |
| Taxi | metered | 20-35 min | Short-notice trips |
| Rideshare | varies with demand | 20-35 min | Flexible, off-peak trips |
| Elly8.net Business Sedan | US$110 fixed, all-in | 20-35 min, door to door | Late flights, meetings, a guaranteed pickup |
| Elly8.net Executive Sprinter | US$290 fixed, all-in | 20-35 min, door to door | Groups, golf weekends, wedding parties |
Bus. Tourism Kelowna's public transit guide says riders from the airport use Route 23, which connects with RapidBus 97 at UBC Okanagan for downtown and the Queensway Exchange. It lists fares, as of October 2025, at C$3.00 for a single ride and C$6.00 for a DayPASS, with children 12 and under riding free. For one person with a backpack, it is the cheapest choice; timetables are on BC Transit.
Taxi and rideshare. Both serve the terminal. Taxis are metered and rideshare prices follow demand, which is highest on summer weekends and when several flights land together.
A pre-booked chauffeur makes sense for groups and families, golf and ski trips with gear, late arrivals and anyone heading straight to a winery lunch or a lake house. An Executive Sprinter at US$290 carries a group and its bags in one vehicle. See chauffeur vs taxi and chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft.
Okanagan Valley wineries: the signature day trip
The reason many people come to Kelowna is wine. Tourism Kelowna says there are more than 40 wineries within a short drive, from modern estates with striking architecture to small family farms. They are spread across several areas: Lake Country to the north, East Kelowna on the benches above the city, the Mission and lakeshore to the south, and West Kelowna, with its Westside Wine Trail, across the lake.
The private 8-hour Okanagan Valley wineries package is priced from US$810 in a Business Sedan, US$1,035 in a Business SUV and US$1,325 in a First Class Sedan to US$1,620 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. A typical day picks you up mid-morning, visits two tasting rooms before a long lunch at a winery restaurant, then one or two more in the afternoon, finishing back at your hotel before dinner.
A few things make the day better. Book tastings where the winery requires it, especially at weekends and in summer, and send the list to the desk so the chauffeur sets a sensible order. Cross the lake once rather than three times. Leave room in the trunk for cases. The chauffeur follows local rules on alcohol, and there is no drinking in the vehicle; that is exactly why a driver is useful on a tasting day. Our wine country tours page has more on planning.
The Okanagan Wine Festivals run a spring festival and a fall festival each year, with the 2026 fall festival held from September 25 to October 4. Festival weekends are the busiest days in wine country, so book early.
Downtown Kelowna, the waterfront and the lake
Downtown sits on the east shore of Okanagan Lake, with the waterfront park, the marina, Bernard Avenue's restaurants and the Cultural District within a few blocks. Hotels are clustered along the waterfront and downtown, with resort properties further south along the lake and in West Kelowna.
The city is long and narrow, following the lake and Highway 97, so a trip from a Lake Country winery to a Mission restaurant crosses most of it. An hourly chauffeur, from US$110 per hour in a Business Sedan to US$220 per hour in an Executive Sprinter with a 3-hour minimum, suits evenings that combine dinner, a show and a late return to a lake house. The private city highlights tour, from US$440 in a Business Sedan to US$880 in an Executive Sprinter, covers the waterfront, viewpoints above the lake and a winery or orchard stop in a few relaxed hours; see private city tours.
Prospera Place, events and winter at Big White
Prospera Place, downtown near the lake, is home to the Kelowna Rockets and hosts concerts and touring shows. It is also the venue for Skate Canada International, the ISU Grand Prix figure skating event, from October 30 to November 1, 2026, with official practices on October 29. Event nights bring heavy traffic and limited parking downtown, so a set drop-off and pickup point helps. The evening out and event night package is priced from US$550 in a Business Sedan to US$1,100 in an Executive Sprinter; see sports event transportation.
In winter, Tourism Kelowna puts Big White Ski Resort about 55 minutes from downtown. The road climbs into the mountains, and BC's winter tire and chain rules apply on signed highways from October 1 to April 30; see the BC winter driving page. Ski transfers from YLW or downtown are quoted in the web booker, and a Business SUV or an Executive Sprinter is the usual choice with ski bags.
Weddings, golf weekends and corporate retreats
Okanagan weddings often take place at wineries, lakeside resorts and private estates, with guests flying into YLW and staying across several properties. A First Class Sedan for the couple and an Executive Sprinter for guests between the ceremony, the winery reception and the hotels is a common plan; see wedding limousine and guest shuttles and group transportation.
Golf groups and corporate retreats follow a similar pattern: a cluster of arrivals at YLW, a few days of moving between a resort, courses or meeting rooms and dinners, then departures. The corporate roadshow day is priced from US$990 in a Business Sedan to US$1,980 in an Executive Sprinter, and a full-day chauffeur from US$810 to US$1,620. A corporate account adds monthly invoicing, saved traveller profiles and NDAs on request; see corporate car service.
Driving in from Vancouver or Calgary
Tourism Kelowna puts the drive from Vancouver at about 4.5 hours via Highway 1 and the Okanagan Connector (Highway 97C), and from Calgary at about 7.5 hours via the Trans-Canada through Revelstoke. Those are long days in a car, and most visitors fly. For travellers who prefer the road, long-distance transfers are quoted in the web booker; see city to city car service. The Okanagan Connector climbs over a high pass, so the winter tire rules above apply.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a car service from YLW to downtown Kelowna?
An Elly8.net Business Sedan from YLW to downtown Kelowna is US$110, a Business SUV US$145, a First Class Sedan US$195, a First Class SUV US$180 and an Executive Sprinter US$290. The round trip starts at US$210. Prices are fixed and all-in, covering the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Parking and extra waiting are billed at cost.
How much is a private Okanagan wine tour with a driver?
The 8-hour Okanagan Valley wineries package is priced from US$810 in a Business Sedan to US$1,620 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle, not per person. Tasting fees and lunch are not included. Send the desk your winery list and any reservations, and the chauffeur plans the route around the lake.
Where will my chauffeur meet me at YLW?
Inside the arrivals area with a name board. The chauffeur tracks your flight, so early and late landings are covered, and complimentary waiting starts after a tracked landing. You receive the chauffeur's contact details before you fly, and the chauffeur helps with bags and golf clubs.
Is the bus cheaper than a car from the airport?
Yes, for one person. Route 23 connects to RapidBus 97 at UBC Okanagan for downtown, and Tourism Kelowna lists a single ride at C$3.00. It suits a solo traveller with light luggage and time to spare. A pre-booked car is quicker door to door and better for groups, families and anyone with golf or ski bags.
Can you take us to Big White?
Yes. Transfers from YLW or downtown Kelowna to Big White are quoted in the web booker. Tell us about ski bags and child seats when you book. In winter, BC's tire and chain rules apply on signed mountain highways, and the desk checks road conditions before departure.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes, on request. Add the number and ages of the children when booking and the chauffeur installs the seats before pickup. Families with lake-week luggage usually choose a Business SUV or an Executive Sprinter.
Can you move wedding guests between a winery and hotels?
Yes. Send the guest schedule and addresses, and the desk plans the runs. An Executive Sprinter carries a group together, and a First Class Sedan for the couple is a common addition. The chauffeur follows local rules on alcohol, and there is no drinking in the vehicle.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup. At 72 hours or less the charge is 10%, at 48 hours or less it is 50%, and at 24 hours or less or a no-show it is 100%. Refunds go to the original card. Contact the desk early if your flight changes.
