About Elly8.net

Elly8.net is a chauffeur booking service built around a simple idea: a traveller should know the car, the chauffeur's meeting point and the full price before leaving home. We book airport transfers, hourly chauffeurs, event nights, day trips and corporate roadshow days in 141 cities, 74 in the USA, 25 in Canada and 42 in Europe.

We are based in Toronto. In Toronto and the GTA, the rides run on the Elly8 fleet and chauffeurs. Everywhere else, a licensed local partner drives, and Elly8.net handles the part travellers find hardest to get right from a distance: choosing the operator, fixing the price and answering the phone at any hour.

The desk

The Elly8.net reservations desk is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is the same desk whether you booked a sedan in Chicago or a V-Class in Milan, and it can be reached by phone at 1 (877) 324-6688, by email at [email protected], through WhatsApp or through the chat on every page.

What the desk does on a booking:

• Confirms the details. Pickup and drop-off, flight number, passengers, bags, child seats and any special requests are checked before the ride is assigned.
• Assigns the operator and vehicle. In the GTA that is our own fleet; elsewhere it is the vetted partner for that city.
• Watches the day. Airport pickups are flight-tracked, so a delay moves the pickup without a phone call from you.
• Handles changes and problems. If plans change, or something goes wrong, you call the people who took the booking, not a third party you have never heard of.

Bookings are confirmed by email with a link to manage the reservation, and every reservation has a receipt number the desk can find in seconds.

The operating model

There are two ways a car reaches you on an Elly8.net booking.

Toronto and the GTA: the Elly8 fleet. Toronto is home. Pickups at Toronto Pearson, Billy Bishop and across the GTA run on the Elly8 fleet and chauffeurs, and the Toronto limo service page lists those prices.

The other 140 cities: vetted local partners. Rides in every other city are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network. Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. The partner supplies the licensed chauffeur and the vehicle, and is responsible for operating the ride under its local licence.

We work this way because a local operator knows its city: the airport's rules for meeting passengers, the hotel driveways, the road closures on game nights. What a traveller rarely gets from a local operator in an unfamiliar city is a fixed US$ price, one confirmation format and a desk that answers in English at 3 a.m. That is what Elly8.net adds.

The network: LWD, LAI, HWD and VWD

Elly8.net is a member of a worldwide network of travel and transportation directories:

• LimousineWorldwide.Directory (LWD), a directory of chauffeur and limousine operators.
• LimousineAssociation.International (LAI), an association of limousine operators.
• HotelsWorldwide.Directory (HWD), a hotel directory.
• VacationsWorldwide.Directory (VWD), a vacation and travel directory.

The Limousine Worldwide network is where our partner operators are found and vetted. For flights, hotels, resorts and activities, our travel partner is BookingWorldwide.net, reached through the travel desk. Elly8.net books the car; BookingWorldwide.net books the rest of the trip.

Standards we hold partners to

A booking on Elly8.net carries the same standards in every city.

• Licensed. The operator holds the licences its city or country requires to carry passengers for hire, and its chauffeurs are licensed for that work.
• Commercially insured. The vehicle is covered by commercial passenger insurance, not a personal policy.
• Vehicle age. Partner vehicles must be four model years old or newer. For Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley, the limit is seven model years.
• The class you booked. A Business Sedan is a Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Cadillac CT6, Lincoln Continental or similar in North America, and an E-Class, BMW 5 Series or similar in Europe. A First Class Sedan is an S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar. The fleet page sets out every class, with passengers and bags.
• Meet and greet. On airport pickups the chauffeur waits inside arrivals with a name board, tracks the flight and gives complimentary waiting after a tracked landing.
• Local rules. Chauffeurs follow local law on everything from child seats to alcohol, and may decline a request the law does not allow.

Fixed, all-in prices

Every price on the site is per vehicle, in US dollars, and all-in: the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes, a standard gratuity and airport meet and greet. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. There is no surge pricing and no fuel surcharge added after the ride.

Each city has fixed prices for its airport transfers one way and round trip, by the hour (3-hour minimum), a 4-hour city tour, a 5-hour evening or event night, an 8-hour full day, a 10-hour corporate roadshow day, and a signature day trip where one suits the city. The cancellation policy is the same everywhere: free more than 72 hours before pickup; 10% within 72 hours; 50% within 48 hours; 100% within 24 hours or for a no-show. Refunds go to the original card. Details are on the cancellation policy page.

Who we work with

Most of our bookings come from individual travellers and families. We also run accounts for three kinds of partner:

• Companies, through a corporate account with monthly invoicing and NDAs on request, for corporate car service and investor roadshows.
• Travel advisors, through the travel agent sign-up.
• Hotels and concierge desks, through the hotel sign-up.

What we do not do

Being clear about the limits is part of the service.

• We are not an on-demand app. Elly8.net is for pre-booked rides. For a car in the next few minutes, a taxi or rideshare app is usually faster, and our chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft page says when that is the better choice.
• We do not change the price after you book. No surge, no demand pricing, no extras beyond tolls, parking and extra waiting at cost.
• We do not sell seats. Prices are per vehicle; you are not sharing the car with strangers.
• We do not book flights or hotels. That is BookingWorldwide.net's job.
• We do not encourage drinking in the vehicle. The rules differ by city and the chauffeur follows them.
• We do not claim what we cannot show. You will not find invented reviews, star ratings, award badges or famous client names on this site. We would rather you judge us on the first ride.
