A Stockholm airport transfer booked through Elly8.net is a private chauffeur and vehicle at a fixed, all-in price, agreed before you fly and charged to your card in US dollars. Stockholm-Arlanda (ARN) to Norrmalm in the city centre costs from US$220 in a business sedan to US$575 in an Executive Sprinter, and the short run from Stockholm-Bromma (BMA) starts at US$110. The same desk handles Nobel Week in December, congress days at Stockholmsmässan and days out to Drottningholm and Uppsala.
Rides in Stockholm are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Arlanda is a long way out, about 42 km (26 mi) north of the city, and the Arlanda Express train is quick, so the choice between rail and road deserves an honest look. This page sets out both airports, the trains and taxis, Stockholm's congestion tax, the hotel districts, the event calendar and what the chauffeur actually adds.
How much is a car from Arlanda to Stockholm?
A fixed Elly8.net transfer from Stockholm-Arlanda (ARN) to Norrmalm costs from US$220 in a business sedan, US$290 in a business SUV, US$355 in a First Class SUV and US$575 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. It includes the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Tolls, congestion tax and parking are billed at cost.
The road distance is about 42 km (26 mi) and the drive takes about 38 minutes on a clear road along the E4. Weekday rush hours on the E4 into the city can add a good deal more, but the fare is fixed. A First Class Sedan costs US$385. A round trip, booked together so the departure is settled before you land, costs from US$420 in a business sedan to US$1,095 in a Sprinter.

Stockholm-Arlanda: terminals and the meeting point
Arlanda is Sweden's main international airport, and Swedavia, which runs it, refers travellers to Terminals 2, 4 and 5, with the contracted taxi ranks outside Terminal 5 and Terminal 2. Give us your flight number when you book: the chauffeur tracks the actual landing and waits for you in the arrivals hall with a name board, and waiting after a tracked landing is complimentary.
Swedavia makes a point that is useful to know. Only drivers with a pre-booked car are allowed in the arrivals hall to meet passengers, and the airport warns travellers never to accept a ride from a driver who approaches them inside the terminal. A pre-booked chauffeur with your name on the board is exactly the arrangement the airport recommends.
If a connection in Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London or Helsinki is missed, message the 24/7 desk with the new flight and the pickup moves. Read more about airport transfers and meet and greet. For private flights at Arlanda or Bromma, give us the operator and tail number; see private jet and FBO transfers.
Stockholm-Bromma: the city airport
Bromma is Stockholm's city airport, about 9 km (6 mi) and 16 minutes on a clear road from Norrmalm. Transfers cost from US$110 in a business sedan, US$145 in a business SUV, US$195 in a First Class Sedan and US$180 in a First Class SUV to US$290 in an Executive Sprinter, and round trips from US$210. The chauffeur meets you in arrivals with a name board, exactly as at Arlanda.
Arlanda Express, taxi, ride-hailing or a chauffeur
The Arlanda Express is the fastest link to the city: the operator says the trip to Stockholm Central takes 18 minutes, with departures every 12 to 15 minutes. A single adult ticket costs SEK 340, with group pricing of SEK 460 for two adults and SEK 580 for three. Swedavia also lists commuter trains and airport coaches.
Taxis are the other common option. Swedavia's contracted taxi companies wait directly outside the arrivals hall at Terminal 5 and outside Terminal 2, and they have a maximum fare for trips within a marked zone; outside that zone the meter applies, and Swedavia recommends asking the driver about the fare before the trip starts.
| Option | Price | Time to the centre | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arlanda Express | SEK 340 per adult, SEK 460 for two | 18 min to Stockholm Central, every 12-15 min | One to three travellers, hotels near Central |
| Contracted taxi | Maximum fare within Swedavia's zone | about 38 min plus traffic | Short notice, no luggage concerns |
| Ride-hailing app | Dynamic, changes with demand | Pickup wait plus drive | Off-peak trips, where the app operates |
| Elly8.net business sedan | From US$220 per vehicle, fixed | about 38 min, door to door | Families, groups, Östermalm and Djurgården hotels, fixed budgets |
The honest view: if you are one or two travellers with light bags and a hotel near Stockholm Central, the Arlanda Express is quicker than any car at rush hour and costs much less. Take it.
A pre-booked chauffeur wins in other cases. Four travellers on the train pay for four tickets and still need a taxi from Central to a hotel in Östermalm or on Djurgården; a family with suitcases and a child seat, a group of colleagues, anyone landing late in winter darkness, or an executive who wants to make calls on the way will find the fixed fare and the door-to-door trip worth it. An Executive Sprinter at US$575 carries a group of six with luggage. See chauffeur vs taxi, chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft and chauffeur vs airport shuttle.
Stockholm's congestion tax
Stockholm charges a congestion tax on vehicles driving into and out of the city centre, and on the Essingeleden bypass, during fixed hours on weekdays. According to the Swedish Transport Agency, the amount depends on the time of day and the season, and the maximum per vehicle per day is SEK 135, or SEK 105 in the off-peak season. Peak season runs from 1 March to the day before Midsummer Eve, and from 15 August to 30 November.
Like tolls and parking, congestion tax is billed at cost on top of the fixed fare. In practice it adds little to a single transfer, and it is capped for a full day of hourly service, but it is worth knowing why it appears on an invoice.
Where to stay: Norrmalm, Östermalm, Gamla Stan and Djurgården
Norrmalm. Our reference point for fares, and the commercial centre: the Central Station, the shopping streets around Drottninggatan and Hamngatan, and several of the city's large hotels.
Östermalm. The elegant district east of the centre, with the waterfront boulevard Strandvägen, embassies, boutique hotels and the food hall at Östermalmstorg.
Gamla Stan and Skeppsholmen. The old town, home of the Royal Palace, with narrow lanes where a car can only drop you at the edge; the chauffeur agrees the nearest kerb with you.
Djurgården. The green island of museums, including the Vasa Museum, home of the seventeenth-century warship Vasa, and a handful of hotels by the water.
Södermalm. The southern island of restaurants, viewpoints and smaller hotels.
Stockholm is built on islands joined by bridges, so short distances can mean slow driving. The hourly service, from US$90 an hour in a business sedan to US$180 in an Executive Sprinter with a 3-hour minimum, keeps one car with you for a day of meetings or sightseeing. See hourly chauffeur.
Nobel Week in December
Every year on 10 December, the anniversary of Alfred Nobel's death, the Nobel Prizes are presented. According to the Nobel Prize organisation, the prizes in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine and literature, and the prize in economic sciences, are presented in Stockholm, at the Stockholm Concert Hall, while the Nobel Peace Prize is presented in Oslo. The Nobel banquet has been held in the Blue Hall of Stockholm City Hall since 1934, with seating for 1,300 guests.
The days around the ceremony bring laureates, delegations, guests and media into the city at once, and the Nobel Week Dialogue takes place in Stockholm on 9 December 2026. Hotels in Norrmalm and around the waterfront fill, and formal evenings need cars that wait. The evening out and event night package, from US$450 in a business sedan to US$900 in an Executive Sprinter, covers a formal evening with the car on standby, and the hourly service covers a week of movements. We cannot arrange tickets or access to official events; we book the car. See event transportation and government and diplomatic transportation.
Congresses, arenas and events
Stockholmsmässan, the city's exhibition and congress centre in Älvsjö, describes itself as Scandinavia's largest and most flexible facility, and says it is 9 minutes from Stockholm City. Large congresses there bring the same morning and evening crowds as anywhere, and delegations book the hourly service or the corporate roadshow day. See conference transportation.
Strawberry Arena, home ground of the Swedish men's national football team and AIK, hosts big matches and stadium concerts. Pickups after a full house need an agreed meeting point away from the crowds. See concert transportation and sports event transportation.
Cruise passengers also use Stockholm: the Ports of Stockholm operate the city's harbour areas, including Frihamnen, Stadsgården and Värtahamnen, and the port at Nynäshamn south of the city. Tell us the ship and the quay, and the chauffeur times the drive to your check-in window. See cruise port transfers.
Drottningholm, Uppsala and days out
Stockholm has no fixed day-trip package on our price list, but the private city highlights tour and the full-day chauffeur cover the classic outings. Drottningholm Palace, on UNESCO's World Heritage list and the permanent home of the King and Queen, is about 12 km (7 mi) from Norrmalm, about 20 minutes on a clear road. The private city highlights tour, from US$360 in a business sedan to US$720 in an Executive Sprinter, takes in the palace or the city's islands and viewpoints. See private city tours.
Uppsala, the old university and cathedral city, is about 71 km (44 mi) from central Stockholm, about an hour on a clear road, and about 36 km (23 mi) from Arlanda, so many travellers combine it with an airport transfer. The full-day chauffeur costs from US$665 in a business sedan to US$1,325 in a Sprinter. Longer one-way transfers, such as Stockholm to Uppsala, Gothenburg or Oslo, are quoted on the web booker; see city to city car service.
Corporate travel and roadshows
Stockholm is a base for technology, finance, gaming and life-sciences firms, and roadshows here involve a lot of short hops between Norrmalm, Östermalm and the business parks to the north. The corporate roadshow day costs from US$810 in a business sedan, US$1,035 in a business SUV and US$1,305 in a First Class Sedan to US$1,620 in an Executive Sprinter. See roadshow chauffeur and corporate car service.
A corporate account gives fixed fares, monthly invoicing, one booking contact for many travellers and NDAs on request. Hotels and travel agents book guests on account through hotel accounts and travel agent accounts. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley, all from licensed, commercially insured operators; see the fleet.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a transfer from Arlanda to central Stockholm?
A fixed Elly8.net transfer from ARN to Norrmalm costs from US$220 in a business sedan, US$290 in a business SUV, US$385 in a First Class Sedan and US$575 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. It includes the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Tolls, congestion tax and parking are billed at cost.
Is the Arlanda Express faster than a car?
To Stockholm Central, usually yes: the train takes 18 minutes and leaves every 12 to 15 minutes, while the drive is about 38 minutes on a clear road. A car wins on door-to-door time for hotels away from Central, and on cost per person for groups of four or more with luggage.
Where does the chauffeur meet me at Arlanda?
In the arrivals hall of your terminal, with a name board. Swedavia allows only drivers with pre-booked cars to meet passengers in the arrivals hall. Waiting after a tracked landing is complimentary, and a missed connection simply moves the pickup.
Do you also serve Bromma?
Yes. Bromma to Norrmalm is about 9 km (6 mi) and 16 minutes on a clear road, and costs from US$110 in a business sedan to US$290 in an Executive Sprinter. Round trips start at US$210, and private flights at Bromma are handled with the operator and tail number.
What is the congestion tax and who pays it?
Stockholm charges a congestion tax on weekdays for vehicles entering and leaving the city centre and on Essingeleden, capped at SEK 135 per vehicle per day in peak season. It is billed at cost on top of the fixed fare, like tolls and parking.
Can you provide cars during Nobel Week?
Yes. Book hourly cars or the evening out package for the days around 10 December as early as you can, because the city is busy. We provide the car and chauffeur only; invitations and access to the ceremony, banquet and official events are arranged by the organisers.
Are child seats available?
Yes. Ask for child or booster seats when you book and give the children's ages, and the partner fits them before pickup. For families with suitcases and a stroller, an SUV or Sprinter from Arlanda is the simplest way into the city after a long flight.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation more than 72 hours before pickup. A 10% fee applies at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. Refunds go to the original card used for the booking.
