A limo car service in Chicago on Elly8.net comes down to one decision: which vehicle. There are five bookable classes with fixed, all-in prices, from a Business Sedan at US$160 from Midway or US$215 from O'Hare, to an Executive Sprinter that carries twelve people for US$560 from O'Hare. By the hour, the same five classes run from US$100 to US$200 an hour with a 3-hour minimum.

Rides in Chicago are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. This guide goes through the vehicles one by one, with the prices that apply to each, then covers the specialty cars, how partner vehicles are chosen, and the booking details that change which car you need.

How much does a limo car service in Chicago cost?

On Elly8.net, a Chicago car service from O'Hare to the Loop or the Magnificent Mile costs from US$215 in a Business Sedan to US$560 in an Executive Sprinter; from Midway it is US$160 to US$420. By the hour, as directed, rates run from US$100 to US$200 per hour with a 3-hour minimum. Every price is per vehicle, fixed and all-in.

All-in means the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet are included. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. The price is per vehicle, so four people in one SUV pay one fare.

The five bookable classes, one by one

Business Sedan

The everyday choice: a Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Cadillac CT6, Lincoln Continental or similar, planned for up to three passengers and two bags. It is the right car for a solo business traveller, a couple heading to a Gold Coast hotel, or a client pickup where the point is reliability rather than show. From O'Hare it is US$215 to the Loop, from Midway US$160, and US$100 an hour as directed.

The honest limit is luggage. Two large cases and two carry-ons fill the trunk. A family of three with winter coats and two big suitcases is already at the edge; that is an SUV booking.

First Class Sedan

A Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or similar, also for up to three passengers and two bags. People book it for the cabin: quieter, more legroom in the rear, and the kind of arrival you want for a chief executive, a board member, a speaker at a McCormick Place keynote or an anniversary dinner. It is US$380 from O'Hare, US$280 from Midway and US$160 an hour.

Business SUV / Van

A Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon XL or similar, planned for up to six passengers and six bags. This is the most useful vehicle in a Chicago winter, not because of any promise about the roads, but because coats, boots and bags take space. Families, golf groups, couples with ski bags and small teams with sample cases all fit. It is US$280 from O'Hare, US$210 from Midway and US$125 an hour.

First Class SUV

A Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator or similar, with the same six passengers and six bags. One detail surprises people: on the Chicago price list the First Class SUV is less than the First Class Sedan, US$345 from O'Hare against US$380, and US$150 an hour against US$160. If you want a premium vehicle and have more than two bags, the Escalade-class SUV is the better value.

Executive Sprinter

A Mercedes-Benz Sprinter executive van for up to twelve passengers and twelve bags. It is US$560 from O'Hare, US$420 from Midway and US$200 an hour. For seven or more people it replaces two or three cars, keeps everyone arriving together and costs less per person than almost any alternative. Our guide to Chicago Sprinter van rental goes into group trips in detail, and the Sprinter van with driver page explains the service.

Stretch limousines, Rolls-Royce and party buses

The fleet page also lists vehicles that are priced in the web booker rather than on the fixed list: a stretch limousine for up to eight, a stretch SUV limousine, a party bus, a Jet Sprinter with captain's chairs, and a Mercedes-Maybach or Rolls-Royce for weddings and VIP arrivals. These depend on partner availability for your date, so enter the trip in the booker and the desk confirms the vehicle and the price before you pay.

When does a stretch make sense? For a prom, a milestone birthday or a wedding photo stop on the lakefront, the stretch is part of the occasion. For an airport run or a business day, a sedan or SUV is more practical, easier to place at a hotel door and less expensive. Our black car vs limousine comparison and the limousine service page set out the trade-offs, and party bus rental covers larger celebrations.

Which car for which Chicago trip

A few typical bookings, and the vehicle the desk usually suggests:

  • One executive, O'Hare to a Wacker Drive meeting, then back. Business Sedan or First Class Sedan, booked as a round trip (US$410 or US$725) or by the hour if the day has several stops.
  • Family of four landing at Midway for a South Loop hotel. Business SUV at US$210, with child seats requested at booking.
  • Six friends going to a game at Soldier Field. Business SUV or First Class SUV on the Evening out and event night package, which keeps the car for five hours. The Soldier Field site lists the season's events.
  • Ten colleagues at a McCormick Place show. One Executive Sprinter for hotel to hall runs. McCormick Place is the largest convention facility on the continent, and on big show days the Sprinter avoids splitting the team across several cars.
  • A couple's day out at Lake Geneva. Business Sedan or First Class Sedan on the 10-hour Lake Geneva package, from US$920. Visit Lake Geneva has the lake path, boat tours and restaurants to plan around.
  • A wedding party of twelve. An Executive Sprinter for the party plus a First Class Sedan or a Rolls-Royce from the booker for the couple. See wedding limousine for how the desk plans the timeline.

How partner vehicles are chosen

Every Chicago vehicle is supplied by a licensed, commercially insured chauffeur partner vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, or seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley. The model named on the price list is a standard, not a promise of an exact make: a Business Sedan may be an E-Class or a CT6, and a First Class SUV an Escalade or a Navigator.

If a specific model matters to you, for a photo or a brand partnership, add a note at booking and the desk tells you before you pay whether the partner can guarantee it. If the exact model cannot be guaranteed, we say so rather than promise and swap.

What every class includes, from sedan to Sprinter

The vehicle changes the cabin and the price; it does not change the service. Every Chicago booking, whichever class you choose, includes the same core routine:

  • Flight tracking on airport pickups at O'Hare and Midway, so the chauffeur works to the actual landing.
  • Meet and greet inside the terminal with a name board, help with bags and a walk to the car. The Chicago Department of Aviation puts the walk from baggage claim to the livery parking at about 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Complimentary waiting after a tracked landing, with any waiting beyond the included time billed at cost.
  • One fixed price per vehicle, including taxes and standard gratuity, with tolls and parking passed through at cost.
  • The 24/7 desk for changes, delays and questions, and NDAs on request for confidential travel.

So the question is never whether a cheaper class gets a lesser pickup. It is only how many people and bags you have, and what kind of arrival you want. Our airport meet and greet page describes the routine in full.

Booking tips that change the vehicle you need

Count bags honestly. The planning figures are two bags for sedans, six for SUVs and twelve for the Sprinter. Golf bags, skis, strollers, wheelchairs and trade-show cases each count as at least one.

Child seats take a seat. A Business Sedan with two child seats leaves room for one adult in the rear and one in front. Two parents and two young children usually need an SUV.

Think about the curb, not just the cabin. Many Michigan Avenue and River North hotels have tight motor courts, and the blocks around Wrigley Field get crowded on game days (Cubs ballpark information). A sedan is easier to place at a narrow door; a Sprinter may need an agreed pickup point a block away. The desk plans this when you book.

Book Sprinters early for show and festival dates. Large vehicles are the first to sell out when a major convention or festival is in town.

For a day of meetings, compare hourly with transfers. Three point-to-point rides may cost more than a four-hour block at US$100 an hour in a Business Sedan, and the hourly car waits at the curb. Our post on Chicago private drivers covers as-directed days.

How booking works

  1. Enter the pickup and drop-off, with your flight number for airport pickups.
  2. Choose the vehicle class for your real passenger and bag count.
  3. Press Reserve now on a fixed price, or use the web booker for any other address or vehicle. Confirmation arrives by email.

Book any address

Cancellation: more than 72 hours before pickup is free; 72 hours or less is 10%; 48 hours or less is 50%; 24 hours or less or a no-show is 100%. Refunds go to the original card. Companies that book regularly can open a corporate account for monthly invoicing.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest limo car service option in Chicago?

The Business Sedan. From Midway to the Loop or the Magnificent Mile it is US$160, from O'Hare US$215, and by the hour US$100 with a 3-hour minimum. Each price is per vehicle and all-in, including the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet. Tolls, parking and extra waiting are billed at cost.

How many people fit in each Chicago vehicle?

Business and First Class Sedans are planned for up to 3 passengers and 2 bags. Business and First Class SUVs take up to 6 passengers and 6 bags. The Executive Sprinter carries up to 12 passengers and 12 bags. Stretch limousines and party buses are listed on the fleet page and priced in the web booker.

Why is the First Class SUV cheaper than the First Class Sedan?

That is how the Chicago price list is set: the First Class SUV is US$345 from O'Hare and US$150 an hour, against US$380 and US$160 for the First Class Sedan. If you want a premium vehicle and are carrying more than two bags, the Escalade-class SUV gives more space for less.

Is a stretch limousine available in Chicago?

Stretch limousines, stretch SUVs, party buses, Rolls-Royce and Maybach are priced in the web booker because they depend on partner availability for your date. Enter the trip, choose the vehicle, and the desk confirms the car and the full price before you pay anything.

Are child seats available?

Yes, on request. Tell the desk how many seats you need and the children's ages, and the chauffeur arrives with them fitted. Remember that child seats use rear seats, so two adults and two young children usually need an SUV rather than a sedan.

Does a cheaper vehicle class mean a different airport pickup?

No. Every class gets the same flight tracking, the same meet and greet inside baggage claim with a name board, the same complimentary waiting after a tracked landing and the same 24/7 desk. The class only changes the vehicle, the space for passengers and bags, and the fixed price.
