Chicago limo rental prices on Elly8.net range from US$160 for a Business Sedan from Midway to the Loop, through US$215 from O'Hare, to US$1,840 for a 10-hour Lake Geneva day trip in an Executive Sprinter. By the hour, rates run from US$100 to US$200 with a 3-hour minimum. Every price is fixed when you book, per vehicle, and all-in: the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet are included.
Rides in Chicago are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. This guide explains what moves a Chicago limo price up or down, what you are actually paying for, the short list of extras billed at cost, and the checks that stop a surprise on the receipt.
How much does it cost to rent a limo in Chicago?
On Elly8.net, a Chicago airport transfer costs from US$160 (Midway) or US$215 (O'Hare) in a Business Sedan to US$420 or US$560 in an Executive Sprinter. Hourly hire is US$100 to US$200 per hour with a 3-hour minimum, and packages run from US$400 for a 4-hour tour to US$1,840 for the Lake Geneva day trip.
Those are ranges, not estimates: each figure is a fixed price on the Chicago fares panel, with a Reserve now button beside it. Specialty vehicles such as stretch limousines, party buses, Rolls-Royce and Maybach are priced in the web booker because they depend on partner availability for the date. The five things that set the price
1. The vehicle class
The class is the biggest single factor. From O'Hare to the Loop or the Magnificent Mile, the fixed fare is US$215 in a Business Sedan, US$280 in a Business SUV, US$345 in a First Class SUV, US$380 in a First Class Sedan and US$560 in an Executive Sprinter. The jump from sedan to SUV buys space for up to six people and six bags; the jump to First Class buys a premium cabin. Our guide to Chicago limo car service vehicles explains what each class is.
2. The distance and the airport
Transfers are priced by route. Midway is about 13 mi (21 km) from the Loop and O'Hare about 22 mi (35 km), so the same Business Sedan is US$160 from Midway and US$215 from O'Hare. Addresses outside the city, such as the suburbs or Wisconsin, are priced in the web booker for the exact journey.
3. The hours
For anything that is not a simple transfer, time sets the price. Hourly hire has a 3-hour minimum, so the shortest hourly booking is US$300 in a Business Sedan and US$600 in an Executive Sprinter. Packages are built on hours too: the Private city highlights tour is 4 hours, the Evening out & event night 5 hours, the Full-day chauffeur 8 hours, the Corporate roadshow day 10 hours and the Lake Geneva day trip 10 hours.
4. The package discount
Longer packages cost less per hour. The Full-day chauffeur is about 8% below the hourly rate: US$740 for eight hours in a Business Sedan, against US$800 by the hour. The Corporate roadshow day is 10% below: US$900 for ten hours against US$1,000. The 4-hour tour and the 5-hour evening package are priced at the hourly rate for their length, so book them for the shape of the day rather than a saving.
5. One way or round trip
Booking both airport legs together costs slightly less. The O'Hare round trip is US$410 in a Business Sedan against US$430 for two one-way fares, and US$1,065 in an Executive Sprinter against US$1,120. The Midway round trip is US$305 in a Business Sedan against US$320.
What the all-in price includes
An Elly8.net fare is all-in, and that phrase has a specific meaning:
- The chauffeur and the vehicle, from a licensed, commercially insured partner, with vehicles four model years old or newer (seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley).
- Taxes.
- Standard gratuity. It is already in the fare, so there is no tip to calculate at the end of the ride. Anything extra you choose to give the chauffeur is up to you.
- Airport meet and greet, with flight tracking and a chauffeur waiting inside baggage claim with a name board.
- Complimentary waiting after a tracked landing on airport pickups.
The price is per vehicle, not per person. Four people in a Business SUV from O'Hare pay US$280 together; ten people in an Executive Sprinter pay US$560 together.
The extras billed at cost, and how to avoid them
Only three things can be added after booking, and each is passed through at cost rather than marked up.
Tolls. Routes that use the Illinois Tollway, common on suburban and out-of-state trips, carry tolls that are added at cost. The chauffeur takes the best route on the day, and any toll on it appears as a pass-through rather than a guess built into the fare.
Parking. If the chauffeur has to park in a garage while you are at a museum, a meeting or a game, the parking charge is passed through.
Waiting beyond the included time. On a transfer, waiting after the included time is billed at cost; on an hourly booking, time beyond the hours you booked is billed at cost. The fix in both cases is the same: tell the desk early. If you are running late from a meeting or your bag is missing at the carousel, a quick message lets the desk plan around it.
Changes and cancellations follow the cancellation policy: more than 72 hours before pickup is free; 72 hours or less is 10%; 48 hours or less is 50%; 24 hours or less or a no-show is 100%. Refunds go to the original card. Late changes are the easiest charge to avoid, so put the pickup in your calendar with the cancellation deadlines beside it.
How Chicago limo prices compare with the alternatives
A fixed limo price is easier to judge next to the on-demand options. The airport puts the average O'Hare to downtown taxi fare at about US$50, metered and depending on traffic (flychicago.com). The CTA's airport chart estimates rideshare at around US$35 to US$50, surging to US$140 or more, and lists the Blue Line at US$5 from O'Hare (transitchicago.com). Neither the taxi nor the app estimates include a tip.
| Trip | Cheapest on-demand option | Elly8.net fixed price | Per person in the right vehicle |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 traveller, O'Hare to the Loop | Blue Line, US$5 | US$215, Business Sedan | US$215 |
| 2 travellers, O'Hare to the Loop | taxi, about US$50 average plus tip | US$215, Business Sedan | US$107.50 |
| 4 travellers with bags, O'Hare to the Loop | taxi or rideshare, often two vehicles | US$280, Business SUV | US$70 |
| 10 travellers with bags, O'Hare to the Loop | several taxis | US$560, Executive Sprinter | US$56 |
| 5-hour night out for 6, car waiting | separate app rides each way | US$625, Business SUV | about US$104 |
For one person with a light bag, the train is the honest answer. For groups, families, late flights and nights when the car must wait, the per-vehicle fixed price often ends up close to, or below, what the group would spend on separate rides. Our O'Hare Uber vs taxi vs private car comparison goes through the airport options in detail.
Busy dates: the price holds, the availability does not
Elly8.net fares do not rise on busy dates, but partner capacity is finite. When a major show opens at McCormick Place, such as RSNA from November 29 to December 3, 2026, or on marathon morning, game nights and festival weekends, SUVs and Sprinters are the first vehicles to go. Booking early does not lower the price; it secures the vehicle at the same fixed price, with free cancellation up to 72 hours before pickup if plans change. For those dates, the cheapest mistake to avoid is waiting until the week before and finding only a smaller car left.
Five ways to pay less without cutting corners
- Choose Midway when it suits your trip. For the South Loop, McCormick Place and Hyde Park, Midway is closer, and the fare starts at US$160.
- Book the round trip together. It saves US$20 in a Business Sedan from O'Hare and US$55 in a Sprinter.
- Match the vehicle to the bags, not the occasion. A Business SUV at US$280 is often better than a First Class Sedan at US$380 for a family. If you want premium with space, the First Class SUV at US$345 costs less than the First Class Sedan.
- Use one Sprinter instead of three cars. For seven to twelve people, the Executive Sprinter is usually the cheapest per person; our guide to Chicago Sprinter van rental does the maths.
- Book a package for long days. Six hours or more points to the Full-day chauffeur; a day of meetings points to the Corporate roadshow day.
Proms, weddings and specialty vehicles
Stretch limousines, stretch SUVs, party buses, Rolls-Royce and Maybach are the vehicles people most often mean by "limo rental" for proms and weddings. Their prices depend on the date, the hours and the partner's availability, so the web booker quotes them for your exact plan before you pay. Prom and wedding Saturdays book up early in spring and summer. See the prom limousine, wedding limousine and limousine service pages for how those bookings are planned.
A booking checklist that prevents surprises
Before you press Reserve now, check these seven things:
- The exact pickup and drop-off addresses, including the hotel entrance.
- The flight number for every airport pickup.
- The real passenger and bag count, including golf bags, skis, strollers and child seats.
- The vehicle class that fits that count.
- The hours, for hourly bookings and packages, with a little margin if the plan may run long.
- Any route that leaves the city, which may involve tolls billed at cost.
- The cancellation deadlines for your pickup time.
Then reserve on the fixed price, or use the web booker for anything not on the list. Confirmation arrives by email. For every fixed price in one place across all cities, see all prices and packages.
Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest limo rental in Chicago?
A Business Sedan from Midway to the Loop or the Magnificent Mile, at US$160 fixed and all-in. From O'Hare the same car is US$215. By the hour, the Business Sedan is US$100 with a 3-hour minimum, so the shortest hourly booking is US$300.
Is a tip expected on top of the price?
No. Standard gratuity is already included in every Elly8.net fare, along with the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes and airport meet and greet. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. Anything extra you would like to give the chauffeur is your choice.
Is a limo priced per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle. Four people in a Business SUV from O'Hare pay US$280 together, about US$70 each, and ten people in an Executive Sprinter pay US$560 together, US$56 each. That is why larger groups often find a pre-booked vehicle competitive with separate taxis or app rides.
What is the minimum booking for an hourly limo in Chicago?
Three hours. Rates run from US$100 an hour in a Business Sedan to US$200 an hour in an Executive Sprinter, and you can book up to 12 hours at checkout. The 8-hour Full-day chauffeur and the 10-hour Corporate roadshow day are priced below the hourly rate.
Can the price change after booking?
The fixed fare does not change with traffic, weather or demand. The only additions are tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time, each billed at cost. Cancellation charges apply only within 72 hours of pickup, on the published scale from 10% to 100%.
How much is a stretch limo or party bus in Chicago?
Stretch limousines, stretch SUVs and party buses are priced in the web booker for your date, hours and route, because they depend on partner availability. Enter the plan, choose the vehicle, and the full price appears before you pay anything.
