Limo rental in Los Angeles is usually priced by the hour with a minimum, or as a fixed package for an occasion. Through Elly8.net, chauffeured cars by the hour start at US$105 in a Business Sedan and reach US$210 in an Executive Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum, and a 5-hour evening out and event night package runs from US$525 to US$1,050. Stretch limousines, stretch SUV limousines and party buses are priced by route and hours in the web booker.
Those numbers are only useful if you know what they include. Limo quotes in any city can look very different once gratuity, minimum hours, waiting and fuel are added, and an "hourly rate" without its minimum tells you little. Below are the real ranges for each vehicle and package, how the minimums work, and the fees worth asking about before you sign anything.
How much does it cost to rent a limo in Los Angeles?
In Los Angeles, a chauffeured car by the hour costs US$105 to US$210 with a 3-hour minimum, so a short booking starts at US$315. A 5-hour evening package is US$525 to US$1,050 and a full 8-hour day US$775 to US$1,550. Prices are fixed and include gratuity and taxes; stretch limos and party buses are quoted in the booker.

The published hourly rates and their minimums
The hourly rate is the base of most limo pricing. These are the Elly8.net rates for Los Angeles, with the minimum booking in each vehicle.
| Vehicle | Seats | Hourly rate | 3-hour minimum | 6 hours |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Business Sedan | up to 3 | US$105 | US$315 | US$630 |
| Business SUV | up to 6 | US$135 | US$405 | US$810 |
| First Class SUV | up to 6 | US$160 | US$480 | US$960 |
| First Class Sedan | up to 3 | US$170 | US$510 | US$1,020 |
| Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | US$210 | US$630 | US$1,260 |
The minimum is the number that matters for a short booking. A one-hour dinner run is still a 3-hour booking at the hourly rate, so for a single ride from A to B, a transfer price is cheaper. You can book from 3 to 12 hours, chosen at checkout, and the car waits between stops for the whole time. Our hourly chauffeur page explains how waiting and stops work.
Package prices for occasions
Packages fix the hours and the price together. In Los Angeles they are priced at or below the hourly rate, and the longer ones are discounted.
| Package | Hours | Business Sedan | Business SUV | First Class SUV | First Class Sedan | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Private city highlights tour | 4 | US$420 | US$540 | US$640 | US$680 | US$840 |
| Evening out and event night | 5 | US$525 | US$675 | US$800 | US$850 | US$1,050 |
| Full-day chauffeur | 8 | US$775 | US$995 | US$1,180 | US$1,255 | US$1,550 |
| Malibu and the Pacific Coast Highway | 8 | US$775 | US$995 | US$1,180 | US$1,255 | US$1,550 |
| Corporate roadshow day | 10 | US$945 | US$1,215 | US$1,440 | US$1,530 | US$1,890 |
The 8-hour packages are 8% below the hourly rate and the 10-hour roadshow day 10% below. The evening package is the usual choice for a dinner and a show, a game at SoFi Stadium or Crypto.com Arena, or a night at the Hollywood Bowl; our guide to Hollywood Bowl transportation shows how the 5 hours are used on a concert night.
Stretch limousines, stretch SUVs and party buses
When people say "limo", they often mean a stretch. The fleet page lists three vehicles of that kind, all bookable in the web booker:
- Stretch Limousine, up to 8 passengers. The classic choice for weddings, proms and nights out.
- Stretch SUV Limousine, up to 16 passengers. For big celebrations.
- Party Bus, up to 12 passengers. For birthdays, concerts and nights out.
These vehicles are not on the fixed Los Angeles price panel; they are priced for the hours and route you need. The web booker prices them for your exact trip and shows the total before you confirm, on the same basis: chauffeur, vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity included, tolls and parking at cost. Saturdays in wedding and prom season are the busiest days, so price them early.
Is a stretch the right car? Often a First Class Sedan or SUV does the job better in Los Angeles: easier to park, quicker through hotel driveways in West Hollywood and Beverly Hills, and the usual choice for a red-carpet arrival. Our comparison of black car vs limousine goes through when each makes sense. For groups, our guide to the LA limo bus covers capacities and how many hours to book.
Maybach, Rolls-Royce and electric sedans
For a few occasions, the car is part of the event: a wedding arrival, a milestone birthday, a principal who expects a particular standard. The web booker also prices a Mercedes-Maybach and a Rolls-Royce, each for up to 2 passengers and 2 bags, and an electric sedan for up to 3. As with the stretches, the total for your hours and route appears before you confirm and includes the chauffeur, taxes and gratuity.
Two things are worth knowing. These cars are booked for the arrival as much as the drive, so allow time for photographs at the door and tell the desk if the venue has a specific arrival point. And for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley, the partner vehicle standard is seven model years old or newer, rather than four for other classes.
What decides the final price
Five things turn a rate into a bill.
- Hours, including the minimum. Count from pickup to final drop-off, not from the start of dinner to the end of the show. A 6 p.m. pickup for an 8 p.m. concert that ends at 10:30, followed by a drive home, is a 5-hour night.
- The vehicle. The Executive Sprinter costs twice the Business Sedan by the hour, but carries four times as many people.
- Gratuity. Some limo quotes add a percentage tip after the ride. Elly8.net prices include a standard gratuity.
- Overtime. Ask how extra time is billed if the night runs long. With Elly8.net, extra hours you request are charged at the published hourly rate for your vehicle, subject to the chauffeur's availability, and waiting beyond the included time is billed at cost.
- Tolls and parking. Billed at cost, with no markup. Venue parking on event nights is the most common item.
Hidden fees to ask about on any limo quote
When you collect quotes, ask each company the same questions. The answers make them comparable.
- Is gratuity included, or added as a percentage?
- Are taxes included?
- Is there a fuel or service surcharge?
- When does the clock start: at your pickup, or when the car leaves its garage? Get the answer in writing.
- What is the minimum on the date you want, and is it different on a Saturday or a holiday?
- Is there a cleaning or damage fee, and what triggers it?
- What is the cancellation policy?
- Is the operator licensed? In California, chauffeured charter service runs under the authority of the California Public Utilities Commission, which explains charter-party carriers and offers a public search for licensed passenger carriers.
A quote that looks cheap can stop being cheap once three or four of these answers are "extra". The fixed, all-in price exists so that the number at checkout is the number you pay.
Reading a quote line by line
The cleanest way to compare limo quotes is to rebuild each one into the same lines. Take a Saturday evening in a Business SUV for five friends: pickup at a hotel in West Hollywood at 7 p.m., dinner downtown, a show, and home by midnight. That is 5 hours.
On the Elly8.net evening package, the lines look like this:
- Vehicle and chauffeur, 5 hours: included in US$675.
- Taxes: included.
- Standard gratuity: included.
- Meet and greet: not needed on a hotel pickup; included on airport pickups.
- Tolls: at cost if the route uses any; most city routes do not.
- Parking: at cost if the venue charges for the car to wait.
- Extra time: at the published hourly rate, US$135 an hour in a Business SUV, if you ask to extend.
Now put the other quotes into the same lines. If a quote shows only an hourly rate, multiply it by the hours, then add the gratuity percentage, any fuel or service surcharge, taxes and any garage time. Only then compare totals. A quote that cannot be filled into these lines, because the company will not say what is added afterwards, is the one to be careful with.
The same exercise works for a stretch limousine or party bus priced in the web booker: the total shown before you confirm already includes the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes and gratuity, so only tolls, parking and extra time can be added.
Worked examples for Los Angeles occasions
Anniversary dinner in Beverly Hills and a drive along the coast. Two people, a 6 p.m. pickup and a 10 p.m. return: four hours by the hour in a First Class Sedan is US$680, or the 5-hour evening package is US$850 if you want time to spare.
Prom night for eight. A Stretch Limousine priced in the booker, or an Executive Sprinter on the evening package at US$1,050. The chauffeur follows local rules on passengers and alcohol. See prom limousines for how we plan the evening with parents.
Wedding day. A First Class Sedan for the couple and an Executive Sprinter for the wedding party, each for 6 hours: US$1,020 plus US$1,260. Our wedding limousine page sets out a typical timeline.
Award-season night. Arrival rules for red carpets come from the organisers, and the Dolby Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard and Crypto.com Arena downtown both see road closures around them on the biggest nights. A First Class Sedan on the evening package, from US$850, covers the arrival and the after-party.
Limo rental vs a single transfer
If you only need to get from one place to another, do not rent by the hour. LAX to Beverly Hills is a fixed US$170 in a Business Sedan or US$300 in a First Class Sedan, below the 3-hour minimum in either car. For the transfer side of pricing, our guide to flat rate car service to LAX explains what a flat fare should include. For a broader view of costs across cities, see how much a limo or black car costs.
Rides in Los Angeles are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley. The limousine service page explains the standards.
How to book
- Choose the package or hours on the Los Angeles page, or open the web booker for a stretch limousine, stretch SUV or party bus.
- Add the details: pickup address, stops, passengers and the occasion, so the desk can plan the timing.

Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup; 10% applies at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. Refunds go to the original card.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum to rent a limo in Los Angeles?
Hourly bookings have a 3-hour minimum. In a Business Sedan at US$105 an hour that is US$315; in an Executive Sprinter at US$210 an hour it is US$630. Packages fix the hours instead: the evening package is 5 hours from US$525. For a single ride, a fixed transfer is cheaper than the hourly minimum.
How much is a stretch limo in Los Angeles?
Stretch limousines, up to 8 passengers, and stretch SUV limousines, up to 16, are priced in the web booker for your date, hours and route. The total is shown before you confirm and includes the chauffeur, taxes and a standard gratuity. Book early for Saturdays in wedding and prom season, when demand for stretches is highest.
Is gratuity included in the limo price?
Yes. Elly8.net prices include a standard gratuity, together with the chauffeur, vehicle and taxes. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. If another company's quote does not mention gratuity, ask whether a percentage will be added after the ride.
Are limo prices higher on Saturdays or holidays?
Not on the published price list. The hourly rates and packages for Los Angeles are fixed, with no surge or demand pricing at busy times. What changes on a Saturday in wedding or prom season is availability, so book early. If you extend the night, extra hours are charged at the published hourly rate.
Is a party bus cheaper than a Sprinter?
It depends on the date and route. The Executive Sprinter has a fixed published rate of US$210 an hour for up to 12 passengers; the party bus, also up to 12, is priced in the web booker. Compare both for your night, and choose the party bus for atmosphere or the Sprinter for luggage and comfort.
What are the rules on alcohol in a limo?
The chauffeur follows local rules on alcohol and passengers, which differ by city and by vehicle. Ask the desk what applies to your booking before the night, and plan the evening around venues rather than the vehicle. The same applies to proms and groups with guests under 21, where parents should confirm the plan with the desk in advance.
