Limo rental prices in Pittsburgh on Elly8.net run from US$95 an hour for a chauffeured business sedan to US$190 an hour for a 12-seat Executive Sprinter, with a three-hour minimum, and from US$175 for a one-way transfer between Pittsburgh International and downtown. Stretch limousines, the stretch SUV limousine and party buses are priced in the web booker for your exact date, addresses and hours. Every price is per vehicle and all-in.

Those are ranges, and the advertised rate is rarely the number you pay with any operator. Minimum hours, garage time, gratuity added as a percentage, fuel or service surcharges and overtime rules can move a quote a long way. This guide gives the real Pittsburgh ranges first, then the fees to ask about, then worked examples from a Steelers night to a Fallingwater day.

How much does a limo cost in Pittsburgh?

On Elly8.net a chauffeured car in Pittsburgh costs US$95 to US$190 an hour with a three-hour minimum, so the smallest hourly booking is US$285 in a business sedan or US$570 in a Sprinter. A five-hour evening is US$475 to US$950 and a full day US$700 to US$1,400. Stretch limousines are priced in the booker.

Minimums: the number that decides the real price

The hourly rate gets the attention; the minimum decides the bill. On Elly8.net the minimum is three hours on any day. Other operators may ask for more hours on Saturdays, on prom and graduation weekends and on New Year's Eve.

A quick way to compare: multiply each operator's rate by its minimum and by the hours you actually need, and take the larger number. A US$90 rate with a five-hour Saturday minimum is US$450 for a two-hour job. A US$95 rate with a three-hour minimum is US$285 for the same job.

If your plan is a single ride with no waiting, skip hourly altogether and book a transfer: PIT to downtown is US$175 in a business sedan, and point-to-point rides anywhere else are priced in the web booker.

The fees to ask about

Most limo quotes in Pennsylvania are built from the same parts. Ask for each line in writing.

Gratuity. Pennsylvania's Public Utility Commission, which licenses limousines in the state outside Philadelphia, notes that gratuities may be included in rates if they are in the company's filed tariff, and that customers should be told about all charges, including gratuities, when a rate is quoted. Ask whether the price you are given already includes it. On Elly8.net, standard gratuity is included.

Garage time. Some quotes bill from the moment the car leaves its base. Ask whether the clock runs pickup to drop-off or garage to garage. On a booking that starts in the South Hills and ends in Cranberry, garage time can add an hour.

Fuel and service surcharges. Percentage add-ons that appear under the subtotal. Ask whether there are any. There are none on Elly8.net prices.

Overtime increments. If the night runs late, is extra time billed by the minute, by the quarter hour or by the full hour? Ours is billed at cost for the time used.

Tolls. Trips east on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, for example towards the Laurel Highlands, can involve tolls set by the Pennsylvania Turnpike. These are billed at cost on Elly8.net. A quote that bundles tolls for every route is worth a closer look.

Parking. Stadium and venue lots on the North Shore and downtown garages charge for parking. When the chauffeur waits on site, that cost is passed on at cost.

Cleaning and damage. Standard in most contracts. A vehicle that needs professional cleaning after a night out may be charged by the operator.

Deposits and cancellation. Some operators take a non-refundable deposit. Elly8.net charges at booking and refunds by policy: free cancellation more than 72 hours before pickup; 72 hours or less 10%; 48 hours or less 50%; 24 hours or less or a no-show 100%, refunded to the original card.

What Pennsylvania's rules tell you to check

The PUC sets out a short checklist for anyone hiring a limousine: make sure the company is licensed by the PUC, ask for its PUC number, get more than one quote because charges vary between companies, and keep the service agreement and receipts. Under the Commission's definition, a limousine is a luxury vehicle seating 10 passengers or fewer, excluding the driver, providing transport by advance reservation. Larger party vehicles fall under the Commission's separate group and party service category.

Rates for limousines may be based on mileage, on time or on both. That is one reason two Pittsburgh quotes can look so different for the same night: one may be priced by the hour, another by the mile with a minimum. Ask how the price was calculated.

Rides in Pittsburgh are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Partner vehicles are four model years or newer, seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley.

Worked example 1: a Steelers Sunday for eight

Eight friends staying downtown want a car to Acrisure Stadium on the North Shore and back after the game. The roads and bridges fill hours before kickoff, so the chauffeur drops at an agreed point and waits away from the main crowds.

  • Executive Sprinter, evening out and event night package: US$950 for five hours.
  • As arithmetic for comparison only: about US$119 each for eight. Prices are per vehicle.
  • What to check elsewhere: event-day minimums, parking passed on at cost, and overtime if the game goes long.

For game-day planning, see sports event transportation, and for the stadium's schedule, Acrisure Stadium.

Worked example 2: a Fallingwater day

Two couples want to see Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater in the Laurel Highlands, southeast of the city. The house runs timed tours and is closed on Wednesdays, so they book tickets first.

  • Fallingwater package, eight hours, Business SUV: US$885.
  • The same eight hours booked by the hour: 8 x US$120 = US$960. The package is US$75 cheaper.
  • Extras: tolls on the route are billed at cost.

In a business sedan the package is US$700 against US$760 by the hour. Where a package matches your plan, it usually beats hourly.

Worked example 3: a PIT round trip for a recruiting visit

A candidate flies in for a day of interviews in Oakland. The company books a business sedan from PIT, and a return the next evening. The round trip to downtown is US$335; an Oakland address is priced in the booker. If interviews move between campuses, an hourly booking from US$95 an hour keeps the same car all day. Companies booking regularly can use corporate accounts with monthly invoicing; see corporate car service.

Worked example 4: a downtown theatre night

A couple wants dinner in the Strip District, a show in the Cultural District and a drive up to Mount Washington for the view afterwards. Three hours in a First Class Sedan is US$465; the five-hour evening package is US$775. If the plan fits in three hours, hourly is cheaper. If dinner, the show and the view will take longer, the package is the safer booking, because time is fixed in advance.

Worked example 5: a prom night for six

Six students want photographs, dinner and the dance, with pickup and drop-off at one family home. Five hours in a Business SUV is US$600 on the evening package; a stretch limousine for up to 8 is priced in the booker. Ask any operator whether the booking is alcohol-free (it should be for students), whether there is a cleaning fee, and who the parent contact is. Our prom limousine page has a checklist for parents.

Dates when Pittsburgh cars are hardest to find

Elly8.net prices do not rise with demand, but cars still run out. In Pittsburgh these are the dates to book early:

  • Football weekends. Pitt plays at Acrisure Stadium on autumn Saturdays and the Steelers on Sundays.
  • Large conventions. Anthrocon returns to the convention center July 1 to 4, 2027, according to Anthrocon, and medical and trade shows fill downtown hotels through the year.
  • Spring. Proms, university graduations and weddings compete for the same larger vehicles.
  • Holiday weekends and New Year's Eve, when many operators raise their minimums.

Operators who price dynamically may quote much higher on those dates. A fixed list protects your price; only booking early protects the car.

Stretch limousines, party buses and Sprinters

Stretch limousines (up to 8), stretch SUV limousines (up to 16) and party buses (up to 12 on our fleet page, larger on request) are priced in the booker. Pittsburgh's hills, narrow neighbourhood streets and tight hotel driveways make a Sprinter or an SUV easier on many routes. For group nights, our Pittsburgh party bus guide covers sizes and licensing, and the Pittsburgh wedding limo guide shows a costed wedding day.

A checklist for comparing Pittsburgh limo quotes

  1. Write down the final total, not the rate.
  2. Ask the minimum for your date.
  3. Confirm the clock: pickup to drop-off, or garage to garage.
  4. Ask whether gratuity is included, and whether there are fuel or service surcharges.
  5. Ask how overtime is billed.
  6. Ask for the PUC number and check it with the Commission.
  7. Ask the model year of the vehicle.
  8. Read the cancellation terms.

National context is in how much does a limo cost, and the sedan-or-stretch decision in black car vs limousine.

How to book a fixed Pittsburgh price

  1. Choose a line on the Pittsburgh price list, or enter your addresses and hours in the booker.
  2. Pick the vehicle by passengers and bags on the fleet page.
  3. Reserve and receive the confirmation by email.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum to rent a limo in Pittsburgh?

On Elly8.net hourly bookings have a three-hour minimum on any day, so the smallest hourly booking is US$285 in a business sedan and US$570 in an Executive Sprinter. Transfers, such as PIT to downtown from US$175, have no separate minimum.

Is gratuity included?

Yes. Standard gratuity is included in every Elly8.net price, along with taxes, the chauffeur and the vehicle. Pennsylvania's PUC notes that customers should be told about all charges, including gratuities, when a rate is quoted, so ask any operator to confirm.

What extra fees should you expect?

On Elly8.net, only tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time, billed at cost. Elsewhere, ask about garage time, fuel or service surcharges, overtime increments, cleaning fees and non-refundable deposits before you sign.

How can you check a Pittsburgh limo company is licensed?

Ask for its PUC number. The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission licenses limousines operating in the state outside Philadelphia, and its district offices can confirm a licence is valid. Every Elly8.net partner is licensed and commercially insured.

How much is a stretch limo in Pittsburgh?

Stretch limousines for up to 8 and stretch SUV limousines for up to 16 are priced in the web booker for your date, addresses and hours, all-in, before you pay. They are limited on prom, graduation and wedding weekends, so book early.

Is a package cheaper than hourly?

Often. The Fallingwater package, eight hours, is US$700 in a business sedan against US$760 for eight hours by the hour. The five-hour evening package equals five hours at the hourly rate, so it mainly protects you from running over.
