The Hollywood Bowl sits in Cahuenga Pass at 2301 N Highland Avenue, with limited stacked parking, so most people arrive by the Bowl's own Park & Ride buses, the Bowl Shuttle, Metro to Hollywood/Highland or a rideshare to the Lot C hub. Getting there is the easy half. The Bowl itself warns that a rideshare pickup after the show can take 45 to 90 minutes, and that is the part of the night worth planning.

This guide sets out each option with the Bowl's published fares and pickup points, then explains how a pre-booked chauffeur fits in. Elly8.net's evening out and event night package in Los Angeles is 5 hours at a fixed, all-in price, from US$525 in a Business Sedan to US$1,050 in an Executive Sprinter for a group, with no surge when the whole amphitheatre empties at once.

What is the best way to get to the Hollywood Bowl?

For most single concertgoers, the Bowl's Park & Ride buses or the Bowl Shuttle are the best value, from US$9 to US$15 round trip, and free shuttles run from Hollywood/Highland for Metro riders with a TAP card. For groups, families or a special night, a chauffeured car with a planned post-show meeting point avoids the Lot C rideshare wait.

The Bowl's own options, with the published fares

The Hollywood Bowl runs two bus services of its own, and they are good. Here is what the Park & Ride and Bowl Shuttle page lists.

Park & Ride

Buses leave from lots across Los Angeles County to the Bowl at timed departures shown on your ticket. For LA Phil presented events, a round trip is US$10 online in advance, including fees, or US$15 on the day at the lot, cash only with exact change. For lease events, it is US$12.45 in advance or US$15 on the day. Online sales close at 10 a.m. the day before the concert. After the show, Park & Ride buses load at the transportation hub on Highland Avenue and begin leaving about 20 minutes after the concert ends.

Bowl Shuttle

The Bowl Shuttle runs from four lots closer to the venue. For LA Phil presented events it is US$9 round trip, in advance or on the day; for lease events it is US$12.45 in advance or US$12 on the day. Departures begin 2.5 hours before the concert, and the last shuttle leaves each lot at concert time. It is free with a valid Metro TAP card or Metrolink ticket. Parking at the Ovation Hollywood lot has a US$20 daily maximum; the other Bowl Shuttle lots are free. Return shuttles load at the top of Lot B.

Metro

Take the Metro B Line to Hollywood/Highland, then the free Bowl shuttle from Ovation Hollywood with a valid TAP card. The Metro regular fare is US$1.75. For one person staying near a B Line station, this is the cheapest way to the Bowl by a distance.

Parking at the Bowl

According to the Bowl's Getting Here page, on-site parking is extremely limited, stacked and may sell out in advance. Stacked parking means cars are parked in tight rows and leave in order, so you wait until the cars around you move. The Bowl also warns against parking in the surrounding neighbourhoods, which can lead to a costly ticket.

Rideshare: the Lot C hub and the 45 to 90 minute wait

The Bowl directs app rides to Lot C (Purple), at 6655 Odin Street. Drivers enter from northbound Highland Avenue or westbound Odin Street. After the show, you leave by the main gates and follow the purple lights down Pepper Tree Lane, through the pedestrian tunnel, to Lot C.

The Bowl's rideshare page is candid about what happens next: post-concert pickup in Lot C "can take anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes." Its own suggestion for avoiding the wait and surge pricing is to take the free shuttle from Lot B to Ovation Hollywood and request your ride from there. There is an accessible shuttle between the Rideshare Hub and the Box Office plaza before the show, and from the top of Lot B back to the hub afterwards.

Timing: when to arrive and when the roads close

The Bowl advises arriving at least 90 minutes before the performance and checking your event page for gate times. On busier concert nights, Milner and Camrose may be closed to cut-through traffic, starting about two hours before showtime and ending about one hour after the show.

That gives a simple plan for the evening:

  • Two to three hours before: dinner in Hollywood or on the Westside, timed so you can reach the venue by the arrival window.
  • 90 minutes before: be at the venue. This is also when the roads around Highland Avenue are busiest inbound.
  • After the show: the first 20 minutes are the crowd at the gates; the next hour is the traffic. Plan where you will be during that hour.

Where a chauffeur fits in

A pre-booked chauffeur does not get a private lane into the Bowl. Private cars follow the same traffic control as everyone else, and the chauffeur follows the venue's directions and local rules on the night. What a chauffeur changes is the plan around the crowd.

The drop-off. The chauffeur brings you as close to the entrance as traffic control allows on the night, at a time you choose, from your hotel or your dinner reservation. You do not search for parking, and nobody in your party has to drive.

The meeting point. This is the part that matters. Before the evening, the desk agrees a post-show meeting point with you, chosen to stay clear of the Lot C queue and the closed streets. One option that follows the Bowl's own advice is to take the free shuttle from Lot B to Ovation Hollywood and meet the car there, away from the hub. The chauffeur is waiting when you arrive, rather than being one of hundreds of app drivers trying to reach the same lot.

The fixed price. The evening package covers 5 hours for a fixed price, so the time spent waiting for the crowd to clear is already paid for. App rides price that hour with surge; a chauffeur's price does not change.

The group. A party of eight in app rides is three cars, three pickups and three surge fares. In an Executive Sprinter it is one vehicle and one meeting point. Our Los Angeles Sprinter van guide explains how many fit.

Flying in for a show

Plenty of Bowl audiences fly in for a single concert. If that is you, think about the airport as part of the evening. Hollywood Burbank (BUR) is the closer airport for Hollywood and the Cahuenga Pass, and the published fare from Burbank to Beverly Hills starts at US$175 in a Business Sedan. From LAX, the Beverly Hills fare starts at US$170, and the drive north to Hollywood on a summer evening can be slow. Land early, check in, and let the evening package start from the hotel rather than the airport.

If your flight is tight, book an airport transfer straight to the hotel and a separate evening package; with the chauffeur tracking the flight, a delay moves the pickup, not the show. For a full day in the city before the concert, our guide to a private driver for the day in Los Angeles has routes that finish in Hollywood. If the car only needs to wait through dinner and the show, an hourly chauffeur booking for the exact hours can be simpler than the package.

Be honest about it: for a solo concertgoer, the Bowl's own buses are excellent value and a chauffeur is a luxury. For four or more people, a family or an occasion, the per-person cost of a chauffeur falls quickly and the exit plan is worth a lot at 11 p.m.

What is on at the Bowl

The calendar on the Hollywood Bowl website currently lists shows into late November 2026 and 2027 dates from May. Check your ticket for the gate time and whether it is an LA Phil presented event or a lease event, because the Park & Ride and shuttle fares differ.

The same planning applies to the city's other big venues. For stadium nights at SoFi, Crypto.com Arena and Dodger Stadium, see concert transportation and event transportation, and the Los Angeles car service page for airport fares if you are flying in for a show. For a comparison with app rides on busy nights, read Uber Black vs a pre-booked chauffeur.

How to book a Bowl night

  1. Choose the evening package on the Los Angeles page or book by the hour, and enter the pickup address.

Frequently asked questions

Where is rideshare pickup at the Hollywood Bowl?

In Lot C (Purple), at 6655 Odin Street. After the show, follow the purple lights down Pepper Tree Lane through the pedestrian tunnel. The Bowl says post-concert pickup there can take 45 to 90 minutes, and suggests the free shuttle from Lot B to Ovation Hollywood to avoid the wait and surge pricing.

How much is the Hollywood Bowl Park & Ride?

For LA Phil presented events, US$10 round trip online in advance or US$15 on the day, cash only with exact change. For lease events, US$12.45 in advance or US$15 on the day. Online sales close at 10 a.m. the day before the concert. Departure times from each lot are shown on your ticket.

Is the Bowl Shuttle free?

It is free with a valid Metro TAP card or Metrolink ticket. Otherwise it is US$9 round trip for LA Phil presented events, and US$12.45 in advance or US$12 on the day for lease events. Shuttles start 2.5 hours before the concert and the last one leaves each lot at concert time.

How early should we arrive at the Hollywood Bowl?

The Bowl recommends arriving at least 90 minutes before the performance. On busier nights, Milner and Camrose may close to cut-through traffic about two hours before showtime. A chauffeur can time the drop-off around your dinner and that window. Check your event page for the gate time.

How much is a chauffeur for a Hollywood Bowl concert?

The 5-hour evening package costs from US$525 in a Business Sedan, US$675 in a Business SUV and US$1,050 in an Executive Sprinter for up to 12 people. Prices are fixed and include gratuity and taxes, with parking and tolls at cost.

Can a limo drive into the Hollywood Bowl?

Private cars follow the same traffic control as other vehicles, and the Bowl's getting-here pages do not list a separate limousine area. The chauffeur drops as close as traffic control allows and meets you after the show at a point agreed in advance, away from the busiest pickup area.
