A pre-booked DFW car service follows the same sequence every time: the chauffeur tracks your flight, adjusts to the real landing time, waits inside the terminal with a name board, helps with the bags and drives you to your address at a price fixed when you booked. With Elly8.net, DFW to Uptown Dallas is US$200 in a Business Sedan, US$260 in a Business SUV and US$520 in an Executive Sprinter, all-in per vehicle.
DFW is a big, spread-out airport, with five passenger terminals strung along a central spine road, so the details matter: which terminal, which door, international or domestic, how many bags. This guide walks through the trip from the moment you book to the moment the door closes at your hotel, with what to tell us at each step.
What happens when you book a car service at DFW?
You give us your flight number, the passenger name and the drop-off address. We track the flight, the chauffeur adjusts to the actual landing, waits inside arrivals with a name board and walks you to the car. Complimentary waiting after a tracked landing is included, and the fixed price does not change with delays or traffic.
The confirmation arrives by email, and the chauffeur's details follow before pickup. If you are booking for someone else, put the traveller's mobile number on the booking so the chauffeur can reach them after landing.
Step 1: Before you fly
Book with the flight number. It is the single most useful detail. It tells the chauffeur the terminal, the scheduled arrival and, once you are airborne, the live landing time.
Choose the vehicle by bags. Passenger counts are easy; luggage is where airport bookings go wrong. The figures below are from the Elly8.net fleet page.
| Vehicle | Passengers / bags | DFW to Uptown Dallas | DFW round trip | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Business Sedan | 3 / 2 | US$200 | US$380 | Business travellers, couples with carry-ons |
| Business SUV / Van | 6 / 6 | US$260 | US$495 | Families, golf bags, sample cases |
| First Class SUV | 6 / 6 | US$320 | US$610 | Executives with luggage |
| First Class Sedan | 3 / 2 | US$350 | US$665 | Client and VIP pickups |
| Executive Sprinter | 12 / 12 | US$520 | US$990 | Teams, wedding parties, tour groups |
Add the extras now, not on the day. Child seats are available on request; give the ages or seat type. If the traveller needs a quiet ride for calls, a stop on the way or an NDA for a confidential visit, say so in the booking notes.
Pick the right airport. If your meetings are in Uptown, downtown or the Park Cities and your airline flies to Love Field, the shorter Love Field ride starts at US$115. DFW suits Irving, Las Colinas, Arlington and Fort Worth, and it is where nearly all long-haul and international flights land.
Step 2: While you are in the air
The desk watches the flight. If you land early, the chauffeur is there early; if you are held on the ground in Chicago for an hour, the pickup moves with you. You do not need to call. Complimentary waiting after a tracked landing is part of every Elly8.net airport price, which takes the pressure off a long taxi to the gate or a late bag.
If you change flights, message the desk with the new flight number as soon as you can. The fixed price stays the same for the same route.
Step 3: Landing and finding your chauffeur
DFW has five passenger terminals, A, B, C, D and E. Airside, the Skylink train links them, so a connecting passenger may land at one terminal and leave from another; your chauffeur goes to the terminal where you will collect your bags.
Domestic arrivals. The chauffeur waits inside, in the arrivals and baggage claim area for your flight, holding a name board. If you only have carry-ons, message when you are walking out so the chauffeur meets you at the door you are heading for.
International arrivals. After immigration and Customs, the chauffeur waits at the arrivals exit. Customs times vary widely with the number of flights landing together, and complimentary waiting after a tracked landing covers that.
Curbside instead. Some regular travellers prefer to walk straight out. Tell the desk, and the chauffeur will agree a door and curb with you. For comparison, the airport's ground transportation guide places taxis on the lower level of each terminal and app rides on the upper level curbside; for a pre-booked car, the desk agrees the exact door with you in advance.
Our meet and greet page describes the routine in more detail.
Step 4: Bags and the walk to the car
The chauffeur helps with luggage and walks you to the vehicle. This is where the vehicle choice made in Step 1 pays off: four adults with four large cases will not fit a sedan's trunk, and a golf group needs an SUV or a Sprinter. If your plans changed and you have more bags than booked, tell the desk before landing so we can adjust the vehicle.
Step 5: The drive
From DFW, Uptown Dallas is about 21 miles (34 km), roughly 27 minutes on a clear road. Other common drop-offs, by clear-road routing estimates:
| From DFW to | Distance | Clear-road time | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|---|
| Uptown Dallas | about 21 mi (34 km) | about 27 min | US$200 to US$520, fixed |
| Las Colinas, Irving | about 11 mi (17 km) | about 18 min | web booker, fixed |
| Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center | about 21 mi (33 km) | about 30 min | web booker, fixed |
| Legacy West, Plano | about 22 mi (36 km) | about 31 min | web booker, fixed |
| AT&T Stadium, Arlington | about 14 mi (23 km) | about 26 min | web booker, fixed |
| Downtown Fort Worth | about 24 mi (39 km) | about 34 min | see the Fort Worth page |
Clear roads are not the norm at rush hour. The corridors into Dallas and up to Plano slow sharply in the late afternoon, and toll roads such as those run by the North Texas Tollway Authority are often the fastest route. On an Elly8.net booking, tolls are billed at cost; the fixed price does not rise because the drive took longer.
For a trip west, our Fort Worth car service page publishes its own airport prices. For anywhere not on the price list, the web booker prices the exact route as a fixed, all-in total.
Three common DFW arrivals, and what we would book
The 9:40 p.m. arrival from New York, one executive, a carry-on and a laptop bag. A Business Sedan to an Uptown hotel, US$200. The chauffeur meets at the door nearest the gate area for a carry-on traveller once you message on landing, and the drive at that hour is usually close to the clear-road time. If the traveller wants a larger cabin for calls, a First Class SUV is US$320.
A family of five from London, two car seats, six cases and a stroller. International arrival, so the chauffeur waits at the arrivals exit after Customs. The seats are fitted before pickup, and the luggage decides the vehicle: six cases fill a Business SUV, so with a stroller as well an Executive Sprinter, US$520 to Uptown, is the comfortable choice. A Sprinter carries twelve passengers and twelve bags.
Four colleagues on different flights, heading to Las Colinas. Either one Business SUV timed to the last landing, or separate sedans so nobody waits. The desk can book both patterns under one reference on a corporate account, and the Las Colinas price is fixed in the web booker before you pay. For a team that stays together all day, the corporate car service page explains hourly and roadshow options.
Step 6: Drop-off and what you pay
At the hotel or office, the chauffeur unloads the bags and you are done; there is no meter to settle and nothing to tip unless you want to. The price included the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes, a standard gratuity and meet and greet. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost and appear on your receipt.
That is the main difference from a taxi or an app ride. The airport lists 19 taxi companies at its stands but does not publish a set fare to Dallas, so a taxi fare depends on the cab's rates and the traffic; app prices move with demand. Our DFW taxi guide and the side-by-side DFW Uber vs taxi vs private car comparison cover when each is the better call. For a solo traveller, rail is a real option too: Visit Dallas lists a US$3 DART Local 3-Hour Pass and a US$6 Day Pass; the DART Orange Line runs from Terminal A Station, and TEXRail and the DART Silver Line from Terminal B, according to DFW's public transit page.
Departures: the same trip in reverse
For the trip to DFW, book a pickup time that leaves room for the drive, check-in and security. Tell us the airline; the chauffeur drops you at the right terminal so you do not ride Skylink with your bags. A round trip booked together is priced below two one-ways: US$380 in a Business Sedan and US$990 in an Executive Sprinter between DFW and Uptown.
Business travel, groups and accounts
Rides in Dallas are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer. Companies that bring teams through DFW can open a corporate account with monthly invoicing, and assistants can book several arrivals under one reference. For a day of meetings after landing, a car by the hour from US$95 an hour (3-hour minimum) keeps one chauffeur with you, and groups moving to a conference can see conference transportation. The Dallas Sprinter van guide covers larger groups.
Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup; 72 hours or less 10%; 48 hours or less 50%; 24 hours or less or a no-show 100%, refunded to the original card.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a car service from DFW to downtown Dallas?
Our published DFW route is to Uptown Dallas, beside downtown: US$200 in a Business Sedan, US$260 in a Business SUV, US$320 in a First Class SUV, US$350 in a First Class Sedan and US$520 in an Executive Sprinter. Each price is fixed per vehicle and includes taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet; tolls are billed at cost.
Where does my chauffeur meet me at DFW?
Inside your arrival terminal, in the arrivals and baggage claim area, holding a name board. For international flights, the chauffeur waits at the arrivals exit after Customs. Give us your flight number at booking so the chauffeur goes to the right terminal and tracks the landing.
What if my flight lands late?
The chauffeur tracks the flight and adjusts to the actual landing time. Complimentary waiting after a tracked landing is included, so a delay does not change the fixed price. If you switch to a different flight, send the new flight number to the desk.
How many bags fit in each vehicle?
A Business Sedan or First Class Sedan takes three passengers and two large bags. A Business SUV or First Class SUV takes six passengers and six bags. An Executive Sprinter takes twelve passengers and twelve bags. Golf bags, strollers and sample cases need SUV or Sprinter space.
Can I book a car from DFW to Fort Worth or Arlington?
Yes. Downtown Fort Worth is about 24 miles (39 km) from DFW and has its own fixed prices on our Fort Worth page. Arlington, Las Colinas, Plano and other addresses are priced in the web booker as a fixed, all-in total before you pay.
Is a car service better than DART from DFW?
For a solo traveller with one bag going to downtown, the DART Orange Line from Terminal A is cheap and avoids traffic. A car service is the better choice for families, groups, heavy luggage, late arrivals and anyone who needs to reach an address far from a station on time.
