The Monaco E-Prix returns to the streets of the Principality on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May 2027, as Rounds 8 and 9 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, according to the official Formula E calendar and the Automobile Club de Monaco, which has extended its partnership with Formula E through 2031. It is a double-header: one race each day on the Monte-Carlo street circuit, with a free Fan Village on Quai Antoine 1er by the harbour.
Elly8.net books the ground transport around it: a chauffeur meeting you at Nice Côte d'Azur airport, the drive along the coast to your hotel in Monte-Carlo, Fontvieille or Beausoleil, and a car on standby through race day, hospitality and the evening that follows. Prices are fixed, all-in and do not change for race weekend, and the 24/7 desk runs the booking from landing to departure.
How do you get to the Monaco E-Prix from Nice airport?
Book a fixed transfer from Nice Côte d'Azur (NCE), about 35 km (21 mi) and 45 minutes on a clear road, timed outside session hours if you can. Inside Monaco, roads in and around the circuit close for the races, so the chauffeur drops you at the nearest permitted point. The helicopter is fastest for light luggage; the coach and train are cheapest.
Monaco is small, steep and dense, and the circuit runs right through it: along the harbour at Port Hercule, through La Condamine, up to Casino Square and back through the tunnel. When the circuit is set up and running, roads inside it are closed and traffic control reaches well beyond, the same way it does for the Grand Prix in June, only for a shorter weekend. The whole Principality has a handful of entry routes from the French side, and on race days they carry spectators, teams, hospitality guests and the usual Riviera traffic together.
That is why a pre-booked chauffeur is useful here. The desk plans the arrival for a quiet window, asks for your hotel and the grandstand or hospitality venue you are heading to, and confirms the closest point a car may stop each day. The chauffeur knows the one-way systems and lifts that make Monaco walkable, and waits at an agreed spot when you are ready to leave.

Arriving at Nice Côte d'Azur
Nice Côte d'Azur (NCE) is Monaco's airport, about 35 km (21 mi) from Monte-Carlo, roughly 45 minutes on a clear road along the A8 or the coast.
| Route | Distance | Clear-road drive | Business Sedan | Business SUV | First Class Sedan | First Class SUV | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| NCE to Monte-Carlo | 35 km / 21 mi | about 45 min | US$220 | US$290 | US$385 | US$355 | US$575 |
| NCE round trip | 35 km / 21 mi each way | about 45 min each way | US$420 | US$555 | US$735 | US$675 | US$1,095 |
| By the hour, as directed | 3-hour minimum | - | US$100/hr | US$125/hr | US$160/hr | US$150/hr | US$200/hr |
All prices are per vehicle, fixed and all-in: chauffeur, vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. Hotels in Beausoleil, Cap-d'Ail or Roquebrune-Cap-Martin are priced by address in the web booker.
Give us the flight number. The chauffeur tracks the landing and waits inside arrivals with a name board; waiting after a tracked landing is complimentary, which matters with the morning connections from North America through Paris, London or Frankfurt. Child seats are available on request. For business jets arriving at Nice, tell us the FBO and tail number. See airport transfers, meet and greet and private jet and FBO car service.
Race days: hotel, grandstand, hospitality and back
Many visitors staying inside Monaco walk to their grandstand, and when the walk is short, that is the right choice. The car earns its place for guests staying outside the Principality, for families, for hospitality guests moving between a terrace, a yacht at Port Hercule and a restaurant, and for anyone with a dinner booked along the coast.
The packages that fit a race day:
- By the hour: from US$100 an hour in a business sedan to US$200 in an Executive Sprinter, three hours minimum. See hourly chauffeur.
- Full-day chauffeur (8 hours): from US$740 in a business sedan to US$1,475 in an Executive Sprinter, with the same car and driver from breakfast to the end of the day.
- Evening out and event night (5 hours): from US$500 in a business sedan to US$1,000 in an Executive Sprinter, for the dinners and parties after each race.
Because roads close around the circuit, the chauffeur may not be able to wait right beside your venue. The desk agrees a pickup point outside the closed section of the day, and the time you want to leave. Monaco's public lifts and escalators shorten the walk up the hill, and the chauffeur can point you to the nearest one.
Some guests prefer to stay in Nice or Cannes and travel in each morning. A car from Nice or Cannes by the hour, or a full-day package, covers the drive in, the race and the return, with a single fixed price.
Where you stay changes the plan
Hotels around Casino Square and the harbour put you close to the action, but on race days their driveways can sit inside or beside the closed roads, so arrivals and departures are best timed outside sessions. Fontvieille, on the western side by the heliport, and Larvotto, by the Grimaldi Forum on the eastern seafront, sit a little further from the harbour section of the circuit. Beausoleil, just above Monte-Carlo, is in France and often has easier road access, with a steep walk down. Cap-d'Ail and Roquebrune-Cap-Martin trade a longer drive for calm evenings.
Tell the desk the hotel when you book, and we plan the airport arrival, the daily drop-off and the evening pickup around that address rather than a generic Monte-Carlo point.
Teams, partners and corporate hospitality
Formula E brings manufacturers, technology partners and sponsors, and race weekends in Monaco are full of client programmes. The corporate roadshow day (10 hours) runs from US$900 in a business sedan to US$1,800 in an Executive Sprinter: one chauffeur and one vehicle for airport runs, hotel loops, meetings and the evening, without rebooking. An Executive Sprinter moves a client group together; the desk can book several vehicles on one confirmation and stagger them between hotels, the Fan Village and a hospitality venue. See corporate car service, event transportation and sports event transportation.
For principals and delegations who prefer discretion, the desk can assign the same chauffeur for the weekend and sign an NDA. Elly8.net is a car service, not a security company; where a guest travels with protection, the chauffeur follows the security team's plan.
Companies that book regularly can open a corporate account with monthly invoicing, and travel advisers can book for clients through travel agent accounts.
Honest alternatives: helicopter, coach, train and taxi
Monaco is one of the few places where the helicopter is a normal way to arrive, and for travellers with light luggage on a race weekend it can be the most sensible choice. Nice airport describes a helicopter terminal serving regular Nice to Monaco services, and you still need ground transport from the heliport in Fontvieille to your hotel, which a chauffeur can provide.
The airport also publishes a fixed taxi rate of €95 from the airport to Monaco, and the Express coach line 80 to Monaco and Menton leaves from Terminal 2, according to its public transport page. Regional trains along the coast run from Nice-Ville to Monaco-Monte-Carlo.
| Option | Price | Best for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Helicopter, Nice to Monaco heliport | Set by the operators | Fastest crossing, light luggage | A car still needed from the heliport |
| Taxi from the Nice airport rank | €95 fixed rate (airport's published figure) | Spontaneous trips | Same roads and closures as any car |
| Express coach line 80 | Bought before boarding | Budget trips, light bags | Longer, with stops along the coast |
| Regional train from Nice-Ville | Regional fare | Visitors already staying in Nice | Crowded on race days, hills at the Monaco end |
| Elly8.net business sedan from NCE | US$220 fixed, per vehicle | Families, groups, executives, heavy luggage | Book early for race weekend |
A pre-booked car wins when you arrive with luggage, with children or with a group, when you are staying outside Monaco, and when the day continues into dinner. See chauffeur vs taxi and black car vs limousine.
Around the weekend
The Riviera is at its best in early May. The private city highlights tour runs from US$400 in a business sedan to US$800 in an Executive Sprinter, around the Rock, the palace, the casino and the harbour. Many visitors combine the race with a few days in Nice or Cannes, or continue to Milan and Lake Como by city-to-city car service, all booked by the same desk. The Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco follows a few weeks later, from 4 to 6 June 2027.
Rides in Monaco are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Elly8.net is a member of LimousineWorldwide.Directory, LimousineAssociation.International, HotelsWorldwide.Directory and VacationsWorldwide.Directory. Flights and hotels can be booked through our travel partner BookingWorldwide.net; Elly8.net books the car.

Frequently asked questions
When is the 2027 Monaco E-Prix?
The Monaco E-Prix is a double-header on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May 2027, Rounds 8 and 9 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, on the Monte-Carlo street circuit. Formula E publishes the session timetable closer to the event.
How much is a car from Nice airport to Monte-Carlo?
A fixed transfer costs US$220 in a business sedan, US$290 in a business SUV, US$355 in a First Class SUV, US$385 in a First Class sedan and US$575 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle and all-in, including meet and greet inside arrivals. A round trip starts at US$420.
Can the car drive me to my grandstand?
As close as the race-day road closures allow. Tell us your grandstand or hospitality venue, and the desk confirms the nearest permitted drop-off and pickup point. Expect a short walk, often helped by Monaco's public lifts.
Is the helicopter worth it?
For one or two travellers with light luggage on race weekend, it is often the fastest way in. You will still need a car from the heliport to the hotel. With heavy bags, children or a group, a car door to door is usually simpler.
Can we stay in Nice and travel in each day?
Yes. Many guests do. Book a car by the hour or the 8-hour full day, from US$740, and the chauffeur drives you in, waits or returns at a set time, and takes you back to Nice in the evening.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes, on request. Tell us the number and ages of the children when you book, and the car arrives with the right seats fitted.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 72 hours before pickup for free. Within 72 hours the charge is 10%, within 48 hours 50%, and within 24 hours or for a no-show 100%. Refunds go back to the original card.
