Limo rental prices in Philadelphia are easier to compare than they look, once every quote is turned into the same thing: a total, all-in price for the same vehicle, the same hours and the same addresses. With Elly8.net, the published Philadelphia rates start at US$95 an hour in a Business Sedan and US$190 an hour in a 12-seat Executive Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum, and run to US$1,710 for a full corporate roadshow day. Every figure includes the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity.
Stretch limousines, stretch SUVs, Rolls-Royce and party buses are quoted in the web booker for your date and route, because those vehicles vary more and demand swings with the season. This guide sets out the real ranges, explains the minimums, and lists the extra charges that turn a cheap-looking quote into an expensive night.
How much does it cost to rent a limo in Philadelphia?
With Elly8.net, a chauffeured car in Philadelphia costs US$95 to US$190 an hour depending on the vehicle, with a 3-hour minimum, so the smallest booking runs US$285 to US$570. An evening out package is US$475 to US$950 and a full day US$700 to US$1,400, all-in. Stretch limousines are quoted in the web booker.

What drives the price
Five things move a Philadelphia limo quote, in roughly this order:
- The vehicle. A First Class Sedan costs about 60% more per hour than a Business Sedan, and an Executive Sprinter about double. Specialty vehicles, such as stretch limousines, Rolls-Royce and party buses, cost more again and are quoted individually.
- The hours. Most operators, including us, have a minimum. Ours is 3 hours on the hourly rate. Packages such as the evening out are priced for a typical evening rather than by the hour.
- The day and season. Saturdays in spring and summer, prom and graduation weeks, the holiday season and big game days are the busiest times for specialty vehicles.
- The route. Point-to-point trips are priced by the journey. Hourly bookings are priced by the time, and long trips out of the city, to Atlantic City or New York, are quoted as a fixed fare.
- The extras. Tolls, parking, extra waiting and any additional stops beyond the plan.
Price per person: the number that matters for groups
Because pricing is per vehicle, the per-person cost falls fast as the group grows. Using the evening out and event night package:
- Business Sedan for 3: US$475, about US$158 each.
- Business SUV for 6: US$600, US$100 each.
- First Class SUV for 6: US$725, about US$121 each.
- Executive Sprinter for 12: US$950, about US$79 each.
For a group of ten going to a Sixers game at Xfinity Mobile Arena or a concert, the Sprinter is usually the best value per head and keeps everyone together. Our sports event transportation page explains drop-off and pickup on busy nights at the South Philadelphia complex.
Three real Philadelphia budgets
- Anniversary dinner on Rittenhouse Square: a First Class Sedan for the evening out package, US$775, or 3 hours by the hour, US$465, if dinner is the only stop.
- Client day in University City and the Navy Yard: a Business Sedan full day, US$700, with the car waiting between meetings and a PHL drop at the end.
- Family of six to Longwood Gardens: the 8-hour Brandywine Valley package in a Business SUV, US$885, with garden tickets bought separately.
Each is all-in; only tolls, parking and extra waiting would be added, at cost.
The minimums, explained
A minimum exists because a chauffeur and vehicle committed to your booking cannot take another job in the same window. What matters is how it is applied:
- Hourly minimum. Elly8.net's is 3 hours on hourly bookings. Book 3 hours and use 2, and you pay for 3. If the evening runs past the booked time, the extra time is billed at cost, so build a margin into the booking.
- Packages. The evening out, full day, tour and roadshow day are fixed prices for that use of the car. The full day becomes cheaper than hourly at 8 hours: US$700 against US$760 in a Business Sedan.
- Seasonal minimums elsewhere. Some operators raise their minimum on Saturdays or in prom season, say from 3 hours to 5 or 6. Ask, because a higher minimum changes the real price of a short evening far more than the hourly rate does.
Fees to ask about on any quote
The surprises on a limousine bill are usually charges that were not on the first quote. Pennsylvania's own regulator is direct about this: the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission says limousine rates may be based on mileage, time or both, that gratuities may be included if the company's tariff allows, and that customers should be informed of any and all charges, including gratuities, when they are quoted.
Ask every operator these questions, in writing:
| Line item | What to ask | How Elly8.net handles it |
|---|---|---|
| Gratuity | Is it included, or added as a percentage at the end? | standard gratuity included |
| Taxes | Are they in the quoted price? | included |
| Fuel or service surcharges | Is any percentage added to the base rate? | none; the price is all-in |
| Garage-to-garage time | Does the clock start at the garage or at the pickup? | the published price covers your booked hours |
| Overtime | Is extra time billed by the hour or in smaller blocks, and at what rate? | waiting beyond the included time billed at cost |
| Tolls and parking | Are they included or billed separately? | billed at cost |
| Waiting | How much waiting is included on a transfer? | complimentary waiting after a tracked landing on airport pickups |
| Cleaning or damage | What triggers a cleaning fee, and how much is it? | ask the desk before booking a party vehicle |
| Deposit and cancellation | How much is refundable, and until when? | free over 72 hours; 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, 100% at 24 hours or less or no-show |
A quote that answers all of these is comparable. One that does not is a starting price, not a price.
Check the license before you pay
Licensing is the cheapest due diligence you can do. In Pennsylvania, the PUC says limousines operating within the state must be licensed by the commission, carry adequate insurance and follow its vehicle safety rules, and advises consumers to ask for the company's PUC number. Inside the city, oversight is different: under Act 94 of 2004, limousine service between points within Philadelphia, and from an airport, railroad station or hotel in Philadelphia, is regulated by the Philadelphia Parking Authority, which describes itself as the regulatory authority for taxicab, limousine and rideshare services provided in the city.
Rides in Philadelphia booked through Elly8.net are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Partner vehicles are 4 model years or newer, or 7 for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley.
Stretch limousine or black car?
A stretch limousine seats up to 8, a stretch SUV limousine up to 16, and both are about the occasion: the arrival, the photographs, the interior lighting. A black car or SUV is about comfort and discretion, and an Executive Sprinter about moving a group together with room for bags. Our black car vs limousine guide sets out the trade-offs, and how much does a limo cost gives the wider picture across cities.
For weddings, the right mix is usually a First Class Sedan or Rolls-Royce for the couple and a Sprinter for the party; see wedding limousine. For school dances, prom limousine covers the parent questions. For a party with lights and music on board, our Philly party bus rental guide covers sizes and the city rules for group vehicles.
Ways to pay less without cutting corners
- Choose the package, not the hours. For dinner and a show, the evening out package is often cheaper than four or five hours booked by the hour.
- Book point-to-point when the car would sit idle. A drop-off and a separate pickup cost less than holding a car through a three-hour dinner.
- Size the vehicle honestly. Six adults with coats belong in an SUV, not a sedan and a second car.
- Book early for peak dates. Specialty vehicles are the first to go on prom, graduation and holiday weekends.
- Use an account for repeat travel. A corporate account gives monthly invoicing and one rate card for every city we serve.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a limo per hour in Philadelphia?
With Elly8.net, US$95 an hour in a Business Sedan, US$120 in a Business SUV, US$145 in a First Class SUV, US$155 in a First Class Sedan and US$190 in a 12-seat Executive Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum. Prices are all-in with taxes and standard gratuity. Stretch limousines are quoted in the web booker.
Is gratuity included in Philadelphia limo prices?
On Elly8.net bookings, yes: standard gratuity is included in every published price, along with taxes. Elsewhere it varies. Pennsylvania's PUC notes that gratuities may be included if the company's tariff allows, and that customers should be told about all charges when quoted, so ask each operator directly.
What is the minimum booking for a limo in Philadelphia?
Elly8.net's hourly minimum is 3 hours, so the smallest hourly booking runs from US$285 in a Business Sedan to US$570 in an Executive Sprinter. Airport transfers and packages, such as the evening out, have their own fixed prices. Some operators raise minimums on Saturdays and in prom season.
How much is a stretch limo in Philadelphia?
Stretch limousines, stretch SUVs and party buses are quoted in the Elly8.net web booker for your date, hours and route, as one all-in price before you pay. As a benchmark, a 12-seat Executive Sprinter is US$190 an hour, or US$950 for the evening out package.
What fees should you watch for on a limo quote?
Ask whether gratuity, taxes and any fuel or service surcharge are included, when the clock starts, how overtime is billed, whether tolls and parking are extra, what triggers a cleaning fee, and how much of the deposit is refundable. Elly8.net's price is all-in, with only tolls, parking and extra waiting at cost.
Is it cheaper per person to book a bigger vehicle?
Usually, yes. Pricing is per vehicle, so the evening out package works out at about US$158 each for three in a Business Sedan and about US$79 each for twelve in an Executive Sprinter. Size the vehicle to the real headcount and coats, not the most optimistic one.
