Renting a limo in Vancouver through Elly8.net means booking a vehicle with a professional chauffeur, never a self-drive car, at a fixed, all-in price. By the hour, as directed, Vancouver rates run from US$110 an hour for a Business Sedan to US$220 an hour for a 12-seat Executive Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum; point-to-point routes such as YVR to downtown start at US$110, and stretch limousines and party buses are priced for your date in the web booker.
The right rental depends on three things: how many people ride together, how much they carry, and where the day goes. Vancouver is a compact downtown peninsula surrounded by water, so the bridges, the North Shore and the airport run to Sea Island decide timing more than distance does. This guide takes the vehicles first, then the city, then the routes people book most.
What does it cost to rent a limo in Vancouver?
On Elly8.net, an hourly chauffeur in Vancouver costs US$110 an hour in a Business Sedan, US$140 in a Business SUV, US$165 in a First Class SUV, US$180 in a First Class Sedan and US$220 in an Executive Sprinter, 3-hour minimum. Packages include a city highlights tour from US$440 and a full day from US$810.
Every price is per vehicle, fixed and all-in: chauffeur, vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the booked time are billed at cost. Rides in Vancouver are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.

The vehicles, and what each is for

| First Class Sedan | 3 | 2 | US$180 per hour | Executives, anniversaries, the couple at a wedding |
| Business SUV | 6 | 6 | US$140 per hour | Families, ski gear, cruise luggage |
| First Class SUV | 6 | 6 | US$165 per hour | VIP groups of up to six |
| Executive Sprinter | 12 | 12 | US$220 per hour | Teams, wedding parties, Whistler groups |
| Stretch Limousine | 8 | 2 | Web booker | Proms, birthdays, a classic wedding arrival |
| Stretch SUV Limousine | 16 | 2 | Web booker | Big celebrations |
| Party Bus | 12 | 2 | Web booker | Concert and birthday nights |
| Rolls-Royce or Mercedes-Maybach | 2 | 2 | Web booker | Weddings and VIP arrivals |
A note on names. When people search for a limo in Vancouver they often mean a stretch, but most of what we book is a sedan, an SUV or a Sprinter, because those suit how the city is used: airport arrivals, cruise days, business meetings and the drive to Whistler. The stretch and the party bus come into their own for nights out and celebrations. Our black car vs limousine comparison explains the trade-offs.
Neighbourhoods and the curbs that matter
Downtown and Coal Harbour. The central business district runs along Burrard, West Georgia and West Hastings, and Coal Harbour holds the convention hotels and the Vancouver Convention Centre next to Canada Place. Many hotel entrances share space with office towers, so the chauffeur confirms the exact door when the pickup is set.
Gastown. Cobbled streets and tight curbs at the east end of the waterfront. Restaurants rarely have driveways, so the desk agrees a corner for the pickup.
Yaletown and False Creek. Hotels, restaurants and towers next to BC Place and Rogers Arena. On event nights the streets around Pacific Boulevard slow down, which shapes any dinner booking nearby.
The West End and Stanley Park. Residential streets with traffic calming lead to the park and the seawall. A Stanley Park loop is usually the first stop of a city tour.
Kitsilano, Point Grey and UBC. Across the Burrard Street Bridge on the way to the University of British Columbia, useful for campus visits and beach days.
The North Shore. North Vancouver and West Vancouver, reached over the Lions Gate Bridge or the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge. This is the route to Grouse Mountain, the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park and the start of the Sea-to-Sky Highway at Horseshoe Bay.
Richmond. The airport city, with a cluster of airport hotels and the Canada Line into downtown.
Traffic peaks and the bridges
Vancouver traffic is shaped by water. Almost every route off the downtown peninsula crosses a bridge or a causeway, and the busiest are the Lions Gate Bridge to the North Shore and the bridges over False Creek. Weekday mornings bring traffic into downtown, and weekday afternoons from about 3 p.m. send it back out over the same bridges.
Three other patterns are worth knowing:
- Event nights. When BC Place and Rogers Arena both have events, the streets around them fill for an hour before and after.
- Cruise turnaround days. From spring to October, mornings around Canada Place are busy with coaches, taxis and private cars on Alaska sailing days.
- Weekend mountain traffic. Winter weekends bring ski traffic on the Sea-to-Sky Highway northbound on Friday evening and Saturday morning, and southbound on Sunday afternoon.
A fixed hourly rate takes the guesswork out of all three. The chauffeur plans the order of stops around the bridges; if traffic stretches the day, the booked hours cover it.
The routes people book most
| Route or plan | Typical vehicle | Elly8.net price | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| YVR to downtown Vancouver | Business Sedan or SUV | from US$110 | Same fixed price in either direction |
| YVR round trip | Business Sedan | from US$210 | Booked together |
| City highlights tour | Business SUV | from US$440 | Stanley Park, North Shore, Granville Island, Gastown |
| Evening out and event night | Business Sedan to Sprinter | US$550 to US$1,100 | Dinner, a game or a concert, and home |
| Full-day chauffeur | Any class | US$810 to US$1,620 | A long, loose day with several stops |
| Sea-to-Sky day trip to Whistler | Business SUV or Sprinter | US$1,015 to US$2,025 | 10 hours with one chauffeur |
| Corporate roadshow day | Business Sedan or SUV | US$990 to US$1,980 | Multiple meetings and a flight out |
The city tour. The private highlights tour usually starts at Stanley Park, crosses the Lions Gate Bridge for the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park or Grouse Mountain, and returns for Granville Island and Gastown. See private city tours for how the stops are planned.
Game and concert nights. BC Place is home to the BC Lions and the Vancouver Whitecaps, and Rogers Arena hosts the Canucks and major concerts. The chauffeur drops you close, waits nearby and meets you at an agreed corner afterwards. See sports event transportation.
Whistler. The Sea-to-Sky Highway is the signature day out: Howe Sound views, a stop at the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish and lunch in Whistler Village. In winter, British Columbia's winter tire rules apply on signed highways from October 1 to April 30, and the desk checks DriveBC before mountain departures. If you are staying up there, see the Whistler car service page.
Weddings and proms. Waterfront hotels, Stanley Park venues and North Shore estates are common, often with guests across several hotels. See wedding limousine and guest shuttles and prom limousines.
Three sample rentals, priced
An anniversary dinner. A First Class Sedan for 3 hours collects a couple in the West End, waits through dinner in Gastown and takes them for a drive along the Stanley Park causeway before home: US$540, fixed.
A visiting family's first day. Five people with a stroller book a Business SUV for the private city highlights tour, US$560, covering Stanley Park, the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park on the North Shore and Granville Island, with the chauffeur waiting at each stop.
A birthday night for ten. An Executive Sprinter on the evening out and event night package, US$1,100, collects the group from two addresses in Kitsilano, drops them for dinner in Yaletown and a show, and takes everyone home. As arithmetic for comparison only, that is about US$110 each; the price is one fixed amount for the vehicle.
Which vehicle fits which trip
- One or two people, a meeting or an airport run: Business Sedan. If the trip is a long day of calls, the First Class Sedan is quieter.
- A family with luggage, skis or cruise bags: Business SUV. It takes six people and six bags.
- Seven to twelve people: Executive Sprinter. It keeps a group together for less than two separate cars plus the coordination. Our Vancouver Sprinter van rental guide goes deeper.
- A celebration where the vehicle is part of the event: stretch limousine, stretch SUV limousine or party bus, priced in the web booker.
- Thirteen or more: two vehicles on one booking, each with a group leader.
Booking tips from the desk
- Book the hours you need, plus a buffer. Bridges and event traffic stretch days. The 3-hour minimum covers most dinners and short tours; a full day suits anything with three or more stops.
- Give the exact doors. Hotel and restaurant entrances in downtown Vancouver are often on side streets. The chauffeur's job is easier, and your wait shorter, with the exact door.
- Mention gear. Skis, golf bags, strollers and cruise trunks change the vehicle.
- Ask for child seats when booking. They are available on request and fitted before pickup.
- Plan around the water. If the day includes the North Shore, do it in the morning and come back before the afternoon bridge peak.
On alcohol, the chauffeur follows British Columbia's rules, so plan celebrations for the venue rather than the vehicle.
When you do not need a limo
For one person with a carry-on going from YVR to a hotel near a Canada Line station, the train is excellent value; TransLink's visitor guide puts the airport-to-Waterfront run at about 25 minutes. For a short hop downtown, a taxi on the meter is usually cheaper than a 3-hour booking. Our guide to Vancouver taxi or rideshare sets out when each is the better call, and chauffeur vs taxi has the wider comparison.

Frequently asked questions
How much is it to rent a limo in Vancouver for a few hours?
On Elly8.net, a 3-hour booking costs US$330 in a Business Sedan, US$420 in a Business SUV and US$660 in an Executive Sprinter, fixed and all-in per vehicle. Stretch limousines and party buses are priced for your date and hours in the web booker. Tolls and parking are billed at cost.
Can I rent a limo in Vancouver without a chauffeur?
No. Every Elly8.net booking includes a professional chauffeur; there are no self-drive rentals. The chauffeur handles parking, bridge timing and pickups, and waits during stops, which is the point of the booking. If you want to drive yourself, a car rental company is the right choice; our chauffeur vs car rental guide compares the two.
What is the minimum booking time?
Hourly bookings have a 3-hour minimum. Point-to-point trips, such as YVR to downtown from US$110, are priced per route without a minimum, and packages such as the city highlights tour or the Whistler day trip have their own fixed prices.
Which vehicle is best for a Whistler trip?
A Business SUV for up to six people with skis or luggage, or an Executive Sprinter for up to twelve with twelve bags. The 10-hour Sea-to-Sky day trip runs from US$1,290 in a Business SUV to US$2,025 in a Sprinter. Winter tire rules apply on the signed highway from October 1 to April 30.
How far ahead should I book?
For airport runs and weekday dinners, a few days is usually enough. For Saturday weddings, graduation season, cruise days and big event nights, book as early as you can, because larger vehicles are limited. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes, on request. Tell us the age and weight of each child when you book and the seats are fitted before pickup. Families with luggage and strollers usually choose a Business SUV, from US$140 an hour or US$145 from YVR to downtown, because it takes six passengers and six bags.
