A Sprinter van rental in Vancouver through Elly8.net is a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a professional chauffeur, seating up to 12 with room for 12 bags, at fixed, all-in prices. YVR to downtown Vancouver is US$290, the YVR round trip US$555, and by the hour the Executive Sprinter costs US$220 with a 3-hour minimum. Day plans include the Sea-to-Sky trip to Whistler at US$2,025 and a full-day chauffeur at US$1,620.
Groups book Sprinters in Vancouver for four reasons: arriving at YVR together with luggage, Alaska cruise days at Canada Place, ski and summer trips up the Sea-to-Sky Highway, and corporate or wedding days with many stops. This guide covers which Sprinter to book, what each plan costs, how to compare it with the alternatives honestly, and how to book.
How much does a Sprinter van with driver cost in Vancouver?
On Elly8.net, an Executive Sprinter with chauffeur costs US$290 from YVR to downtown Vancouver, US$555 for the YVR round trip, US$220 an hour with a 3-hour minimum, US$1,100 for an evening out, US$1,620 for a full day and US$2,025 for the 10-hour Whistler day trip. Prices are per vehicle and all-in.
All-in means the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the booked time are billed at cost. Rides in Vancouver are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.

Executive Sprinter or Jet Sprinter
The Elly8.net fleet page lists two Sprinter types, and they are built for different jobs.
| Sprinter type | Seats | Bags | Vancouver price | What it is for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | 12 | Fixed: US$290 YVR, US$220 per hour | Groups with luggage: airport, cruise, ski, wedding parties |
| Jet Sprinter | up to 6 | 4 | Web booker | A VIP cabin with captain's chairs for small executive groups |
The Executive Sprinter is what most groups need: twelve individual seats, standing headroom and a luggage area that takes a suitcase per person. The Jet Sprinter trades seats for space, with six captain's chairs, and suits a leadership team that wants to work or talk on a long drive, such as a site visit to Whistler or a roadshow day. It is priced in the web booker for your date and route.
Every Sprinter plan in Vancouver, priced
These are the fixed Elly8.net prices for the Executive Sprinter in Vancouver, in US dollars, per vehicle.
| Plan | Executive Sprinter price | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| YVR to downtown Vancouver | US$290 | A group arriving together with bags |
| YVR round trip to downtown | US$555 | Arrival and departure on one booking |
| By the hour, as directed (3-hour minimum) | US$220 per hour | Dinners, multi-stop days, guest shuttles |
| Private city highlights tour | US$880 | Stanley Park, North Shore, Granville Island |
| Evening out and event night | US$1,100 | A game, a concert or a celebration |
| Full-day chauffeur | US$1,620 | A long day with many stops |
| Corporate roadshow day | US$1,980 | Meetings across downtown, Burnaby and Richmond |
| Sea-to-Sky day trip to Whistler (10 hours) | US$2,025 | Ski, sightseeing or a summer day in the mountains |
Prices are per vehicle, never per person. Purely as arithmetic for comparison, twelve travellers sharing the US$290 airport run works out at about US$24 each, and twelve sharing the US$2,025 Whistler day at about US$169 each. The booking is one price for the vehicle whether six or twelve ride.
How to choose: Sprinter, SUVs or taxis
The honest answer depends on the group size and what they carry.
| Group | Best fit | YVR to downtown, Elly8.net | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 to 3, light bags | Business Sedan, or a taxi or the train | US$110 sedan | A Sprinter is more vehicle than you need |
| 4 to 6 with luggage | Business SUV | US$145 | Six seats and six bags in one vehicle |
| 7 to 12 with luggage | Executive Sprinter | US$290 | One vehicle, one arrival, everyone together |
| 13 to 24 | Two Sprinters, or a Sprinter and an SUV | from US$435 | Two vehicles fit hotel driveways a bus cannot use |
Two SUVs or one Sprinter? For eight to twelve people, two Business SUVs cost US$290 from YVR, the same as one Sprinter, and give two smaller vehicles. The Sprinter keeps everyone in one place, which matters for a team that needs to talk on the way, a wedding party on a timeline or a family that wants to arrive together. Two SUVs are better when the group splits to two hotels.
Taxis. YVR's taxi zone fare to downtown is C$46, including a C$4 passenger load charge and excluding the tip, according to the YVR taxi page. A group of eight with luggage often needs two or three taxis, which means separate places in the queue at the stand, separate payments and separate arrivals. YVR adds that guests may need to take additional or larger vehicles if luggage exceeds a taxi's capacity. Purely on price, three taxis can still cost less than a Sprinter for the downtown run; the Sprinter wins on keeping the group and the bags together, a named chauffeur inside arrivals and a fixed price back to the airport. Our YVR taxi vs Uber vs private car guide sets out each scenario.
The train. The Canada Line is an excellent option for light travellers and a hard one for twelve people with suitcases and ski bags at rush hour. TransLink lists a C$6.50 AddFare on top of the regular fare for journeys starting at YVR, on its fares page.
Sprinter trips that suit Vancouver
Group arrivals at YVR. Book the pickup against the last flight in. YVR's group arrivals guidance also suggests basing a group pickup on the latest flight's arrival. The chauffeur tracks the flight and meets the group inside arrivals. See group transportation.
Alaska cruise days. From spring to October, Canada Place is a homeport for Alaska sailings. A Sprinter takes a family reunion or a group of friends and a week of luggage from YVR or a downtown hotel to the terminal approach. Cruise terminal transfers are quoted in the web booker; see cruise port transfers.
Whistler, winter and summer. Tourism Whistler's getting here page describes the drive from Vancouver as about two hours. In winter the Sprinter takes skis and boots for twelve, and British Columbia's winter tire rules apply on signed highways from October 1 to April 30, so the vehicle must meet them. For a one-way transfer and a stay in the mountains, see the Whistler car service page.
Conferences and offsites. The Vancouver Convention Centre on Coal Harbour fills hotels in conference weeks; a Sprinter by the hour loops between hotels, halls and dinners. See conference transportation and the corporate roadshow page for meeting days.
Weddings. The Sprinter carries the wedding party between the ceremony, photos and reception, and a second Sprinter can run guest shuttles. See wedding limousine and guest shuttles.
Game nights and concerts. For a Canucks game or a stadium concert, the evening out package at US$1,100 covers the drive in, the wait and the ride home. See Sprinter van with driver.
Three sample Sprinter days, costed
A cruise family reunion. Eleven relatives land at YVR on three flights the afternoon before an Alaska sailing. One Executive Sprinter meets the last flight and takes everyone and their luggage to a downtown hotel for US$290. The next morning, the same group goes from the hotel to the Canada Place terminal on a web booker quote, and a week later the return from the ship to YVR is booked the same way. Three movements, one vehicle type, and nobody counting suitcases at a taxi stand.
A ski weekend. Ten friends arrive at YVR on a Friday in February with boards and boot bags. The one-way run to Whistler is on the Whistler car service price list, and the return on Sunday afternoon is booked on the same reservation. The Sprinter's twelve bag spaces are what make this work; party vehicles and sedans cannot take the gear.
A conference team. A company sends twelve people to a three-day event on Coal Harbour. A Sprinter brings them from YVR for US$290, then works by the hour on the second evening for a team dinner in Gastown and a stop at a client's office in Yaletown: four hours at US$220, or US$880. The departure run to YVR on the last day is US$290 again, the same fixed fare in either direction. The total for three movements is US$1,460 for the vehicle, billed to a corporate account if the company has one.
Practical details that save time
- Loading. Twelve people with twelve suitcases take a few minutes to load. The chauffeur handles it, but build five to ten minutes into tight schedules, especially at the cruise terminal.
- Oversized items. Skis, snowboards, golf bags, bikes in boxes and large strollers fit, but tell the desk the count. Very large loads may need a second vehicle, which is better known before the day.
- Accessibility. The Sprinter's step and grab handles help most passengers, and the chauffeur can bring the vehicle to an accessible door. Tell us about wheelchairs or mobility aids when booking so the right vehicle is confirmed.
- Several pickups. Collecting guests from three hotels adds time to an hourly booking; one meeting point keeps the clock down.
- Waiting during stops. On an hourly booking the Sprinter waits wherever you stop, so bags and coats can stay on board between venues.
What to tell the desk when you book
- Passenger count and bag count. Including skis, golf bags, strollers and cruise trunks.
- Every address and stop in order. With fixed times such as a sailing, a dinner or a door time.
- Flight numbers for every arrival, and which flight lands last.
- One contact person with a phone, who can make decisions on the day.
- Child seats. Available on request; give each child's age and weight.
On alcohol, the chauffeur follows British Columbia's rules, so plan celebrations for the venue rather than the vehicle.

Frequently asked questions
How many people fit in a Sprinter van in Vancouver?
The Executive Sprinter seats up to 12 passengers with room for 12 bags. The Jet Sprinter seats up to 6 in captain's chairs with room for 4 bags. For 13 or more, book two vehicles on one reservation, such as two Sprinters or a Sprinter and a Business SUV.
How much is a Sprinter from YVR to downtown Vancouver?
US$290 one way in an Executive Sprinter, or US$555 for the round trip booked together, fixed and all-in per vehicle. The same price applies from downtown to YVR. It includes flight tracking, meet and greet inside arrivals, taxes and standard gratuity.
Can we take a Sprinter to Whistler in winter?
Yes. The 10-hour Sea-to-Sky day trip in an Executive Sprinter is US$2,025, and one-way transfers are on the Whistler page. Winter tire rules apply on the signed highway from October 1 to April 30, and the desk checks road conditions before mountain departures. Mention skis and boards when booking.
Is the Sprinter cheaper than taking taxis?
Not always. For a downtown run, several taxis at the YVR zone fare can cost less in total, before tips. The Sprinter is better value when the group must stay together, carries a lot of luggage, needs child seats, or needs the same fixed price back to the airport, where taxis run on the meter.
Is there a minimum booking for an hourly Sprinter?
Yes, hourly bookings have a 3-hour minimum at US$220 an hour. Airport transfers and packages such as the evening out, the city tour and the Whistler day trip have their own fixed prices with no separate minimum. A 3-hour Sprinter booking costs US$660 for the vehicle, which covers most dinners and short tours.
