Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) is a small mountain airport with a big job. It sits in Gypsum, west of Vail on I-70, and the airport itself describes Vail, Beaver Creek, Aspen, Steamboat and the Summit County resorts as being a short distance away. A pre-booked Elly8.net car service at Eagle starts at US$320 to Vail Village and US$490 to downtown Aspen, fixed and all-in per vehicle, and every other valley address is priced in the web booker.
What follows is the whole journey in order: what to put in the booking, what happens while you are in the air, the meeting at baggage claim, private jet arrivals at the FBO, the drive to each resort, the drop-off, and the trip back to the airport. Rides from Eagle are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.
What does an Eagle airport car service cost?
Elly8.net fixed fares from Eagle (EGE) start at US$320 in a Business Sedan to Vail Village, US$420 in a Business SUV and US$835 in an Executive Sprinter. Before you fly: the booking
Five details make an Eagle arrival smooth.
Your flight number. It lets the desk track the flight from departure. Eagle's schedule is built around connections through Denver and Dallas/Fort Worth year-round, plus seasonal nonstops from many hubs; the airport's airlines and destinations page lists them. If you connect, give the final flight into EGE.
The exact address. Vail and Beaver Creek lodges have their own entrances and loading areas; private homes have gate codes and steep driveways. The more exact the address, the better the drop-off.
Every bag. Count suitcases, ski and snowboard bags and boot bags. A Business SUV carries up to 6 passengers and 6 bags, an Executive Sprinter up to 12 and 12, and a sedan up to 3 and 2, according to the Elly8.net fleet page.
Child seats. Available on request; give each child's age and weight so the right seats are fitted before pickup.
Stops. A grocery store, a ski rental shop, a pharmacy. Add them as stops so they are included in the price.
Then you receive a confirmation by email, and the chauffeur's details before you travel.
While you are in the air
The desk watches the flight. If it leaves late, lands early or is held at the gate, the pickup time moves with it, and you do not need to call. Mountain weather can divert flights to other airports; if that happens, call the desk as soon as you know where you are, and the pickup is re-planned with you.
Misconnections are the other common change. If a late inbound flight means you miss the connection in Denver and the airline rebooks you onto a later Eagle flight, send the new flight number so the desk tracks the right aircraft. If the airline puts you on the road instead, or you decide to land at Denver and drive, the trip becomes a Denver to Vail transfer of about 121 miles, from US$715 in a Business Sedan; our Denver airport to Vail guide explains how that arrival works. Either way, one call to the desk starts the change.
Landing: the meeting at baggage claim
Eagle is a small, single-terminal airport. Your chauffeur meets you as you come into baggage claim, holding a name board. The airport's FAQ notes that its rental car and ground transportation companies are located inside the terminal, so this is where you will find every ground option in one place.
Complimentary waiting starts after a tracked landing. In winter, oversized items such as ski bags can take longer to reach the claim area than suitcases, and the waiting covers that. The chauffeur helps with the bags and walks you to the vehicle outside.
If you cannot see the chauffeur, call or message the number in your confirmation rather than going outside. The 24/7 desk knows where the chauffeur is.
Private jets: Signature Aviation
General aviation at Eagle uses Signature Aviation, the airport's fixed-base operator, on the southern side of the field. For a private arrival, give the desk the tail number, the FBO and the estimated arrival time. The chauffeur waits at the FBO, and the desk follows the flight. Crew transport and NDAs are available on request; see private jet and FBO car service.
On the road: three directions from Eagle
East to Vail and Beaver Creek. Most Eagle passengers turn east on I-70 up the Eagle River valley, past the town of Eagle, Edwards and Avon. Beaver Creek is reached from Avon, and Vail Village is a few miles further east. This stretch crosses no high pass. Our Eagle airport to Vail guide covers the Vail run in detail.
West and south to Aspen. Aspen is reached by going west on I-70 through Glenwood Canyon to Glenwood Springs, then up Highway 82 through the Roaring Fork Valley. It is about 69 miles (110 km) and about an hour and a half on a clear road, from US$490 in a Business Sedan to US$1,275 in an Executive Sprinter. Eagle matters more than usual for Aspen in 2027: according to Aspen-Pitkin County Airport, the Aspen airport will be closed to commercial and general aviation from April 4 to November 19, 2027, for runway work, so many summer 2027 Aspen arrivals will land at Eagle instead.
East over Vail Pass to Summit County. Breckenridge, Keystone and Copper Mountain are beyond Vail, over Vail Pass, about an hour and a half from Eagle to Breckenridge on a clear road. Enter the lodging address in the web booker for a fixed price.
In winter, the Colorado Department of Transportation's Traction Law applies on I-70 from Morrison to Dotsero between September 1 and May 31, or whenever conditions require, and CDOT can apply traction and chain laws on any state highway. Partner vehicles are set up for mountain driving. On storm days, the desk checks COtrip before the pickup and keeps you informed.
The drop-off
At a hotel or lodge, the chauffeur pulls in at the main entrance or the permitted loading point, unloads, and hands the bags to the bell staff where there are some. In Vail Village and Lionshead, where the cores are pedestrian, that means the lodge's own vehicle entrance rather than the front door on the street. At a private home, the chauffeur uses the gate code you sent and helps carry the bags in. If a driveway is unsafe in snow, the chauffeur stops at the nearest safe point and helps from there.
Check the vehicle for phones, chargers and gloves before it leaves.
During your stay
The same desk books the rest of the week. Vail hourly service runs from US$110 an hour in a Business Sedan and US$140 in a Business SUV to US$220 in an Executive Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum, through the hourly chauffeur service; the full-day chauffeur package is 8 hours, from US$810 in a Business Sedan. Evenings out in Vail or Beaver Creek are covered by the 5-hour evening out and event night package, from US$550. For a trip between resorts, see our Aspen to Vail guide.
The trip back to Eagle
Eagle's FAQ recommends arriving at least two hours before your scheduled departure for check-in and security. Work back from that: add the drive time from the table above, then add slack for the season and the weather. The desk will suggest a pickup time when you book the return. Booking the return at the same time as the arrival, with the outbound flight number, means one less thing to arrange on your last day.
The return fare is the same fixed price as the arrival. For Vail Village, the round trip starts at US$610 in a Business Sedan and US$800 in a Business SUV; for Aspen, at US$935 in a Business Sedan.
When another option makes more sense
One traveller, light bag, Vail Valley address. Core Transit's Valley route serves the airport and runs through Eagle, Edwards and Avon to Vail. Fares apply only to trips to or from the airport, Gypsum and Leadville, and every other Core route is fare-free. It is the cheapest way into the valley.
A couple on a budget. A shared shuttle seat from one of the operators on Eagle's ground transportation page costs less than a private car, in exchange for a timetable and stops at other lodges.
You will drive all week. If you plan to explore by car every day, a rental may suit, as long as you are comfortable with winter mountain roads. See chauffeur vs renting a car.
A pre-booked car suits families with skis, groups, late arrivals, private jet passengers, corporate teams and anyone heading to Aspen or a private home. For the general comparison, read chauffeur vs shared airport shuttle.
Corporate groups and events
Eagle handles a steady flow of company offsites, client ski trips and weddings. The desk prices several vehicles under one booking, with arrivals staggered by flight, and a corporate account gives monthly invoicing. See conference transportation and wedding limousine for how multi-vehicle days are planned.
