Getting from the Las Vegas airport to the Strip by private car takes around 39 minutes on a clear road to the centre of the Strip, about 9 mi (14 km) on our routing, and costs from US$125 in a Business Sedan to US$325 in an Executive Sprinter with Elly8.net. The price is fixed per vehicle and the same for every Strip hotel, whether you are at the south end near Mandalay Bay or the north end near the convention center.
This post looks at the trip the way you would plan it: which part of the Strip you are heading to, what the airport roadworks mean this year, what the ride costs per person compared with a taxi, and how to time the return to the airport. Rides in Las Vegas are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.
How much does a private car from the airport to the Strip cost?
From Harry Reid International (LAS) to any hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, a fixed Elly8.net car costs US$125 in a Business Sedan, US$165 in a Business SUV, US$200 in a First Class SUV, US$220 in a First Class Sedan or US$325 in an Executive Sprinter. That is per vehicle, with gratuity, taxes and meet and greet included.
A round trip, the arrival plus the ride back to LAS on departure day, is listed from US$240 in a Business Sedan to US$620 in an Executive Sprinter. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. If your hotel is off the Strip, the web booker gives a fixed price for the exact address before you pay.

Which end of the Strip are you going to?
The Nevada Taxicab Authority divides the Strip into three airport zones for its flat taxi fares, and they make a useful mental map for any ride from LAS, because the farther north you go, the longer the drive and the busier the boulevard.
| Strip zone (taxi authority definition) | Typical guests | Taxi zone fare from LAS | Elly8.net Business Sedan | Elly8.net Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zone 1: Sunset Road north to Tropicana Avenue | South Strip resorts, Allegiant Stadium area | US$22.25 plus fees | US$125 | US$325 |
| Zone 2: Tropicana Avenue north to Flamingo Road | Center Strip, T-Mobile Arena area | US$26.25 plus fees | US$125 | US$325 |
| Zone 3: Flamingo Road north to the Stratosphere | Center-north resorts, Sphere, convention center end | US$30.25 plus fees | US$125 | US$325 |
The zone fares come from the Nevada Taxicab Authority's fare page, which adds a US$2.40 airport pickup fee, a US$3.00 card fee for card payments, a fuel surcharge and 3% excise tax. With a card, that puts the taxi at roughly US$28 to Zone 1, US$33 to Zone 2 and US$37 to Zone 3, before the fuel surcharge and the tip.
An Elly8.net price does not change by zone. A South Strip guest and a North Strip guest pay the same fixed amount, so the private car gets relatively better value the farther north you stay.
The drive in 2026: the airport connector tunnels
Many rides from LAS toward the Strip use the Airport Connector and its tunnels. In August 2026 the Clark County Department of Aviation began repaving both directions, and its connector tunnel project notice sets out the pattern: both the northbound and southbound tunnels are reduced to two lanes daily from 5 a.m. to midnight, and to one lane overnight from midnight to 5 a.m., Sunday through Friday. The work is expected to finish by the end of December 2026.
What this means for you:
- Late-night arrivals, Sunday through Friday, meet a single lane in each direction. The drive is usually still quick at that hour, but a stalled car has nowhere to go.
- Peak afternoons, when the Friday wave lands and Strip checkouts overlap, see the two-lane pattern add time on top of normal traffic.
- The fixed price absorbs it. If the drive takes 50 minutes instead of 39, the fare is the same.
Chauffeurs on the Elly8.net network know the surface-street alternatives and choose the route on the day. The airport itself asks travellers to allow extra time while the work continues.
What the ride costs per person
Because the price is per vehicle, the right vehicle depends on the headcount and the bags. Here is the arrival, per person, with each vehicle full or close to it.
| Group | Best vehicle | Fixed price LAS to the Strip | Per person |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 traveller | Business Sedan | US$125 | US$125 |
| 2 travellers | Business Sedan | US$125 | about US$63 |
| 3 travellers with 2 bags | Business Sedan | US$125 | about US$42 |
| 4 travellers with bags | Business SUV | US$165 | about US$41 |
| 6 travellers with 6 bags | Business SUV | US$165 | about US$28 |
| 8 travellers | Executive Sprinter | US$325 | about US$41 |
| 12 travellers with 12 bags | Executive Sprinter | US$325 | about US$27 |
The honest read of that table: a solo traveller with a carry-on pays more for a private car than for a taxi, often four times as much, and should take the taxi unless a meeting, a late landing or a VIP arrival justifies the difference. From four people upward, the gap narrows sharply, because four people rarely fit one taxi with their bags, and six people with luggage will usually need two cabs. At six or twelve with bags, the fixed private car is close to the taxi on cost per person and does not need splitting.

Beyond the Strip: Downtown, Summerlin and Henderson
Not every Las Vegas trip ends on the boulevard, and the price list is set to the centre of the Strip. For other areas, the web booker quotes the address:
- Downtown and Fremont Street, the original casino district north of the Strip, sit beyond Zone 3.
- Summerlin and the Red Rock area are the western suburbs, with resort casinos and golf.
- Henderson and Lake Las Vegas lie to the south-east. If you are flying privately, Henderson Executive Airport (HND) is the nearer airfield; HND to the Strip is listed from US$155 in a Business Sedan.
Our main Las Vegas car service page describes each district, and the airport transfers page explains how flight tracking and meet and greet work in every city.
Arrival day in brief
Book with the flight number, so the pickup follows the real landing. The chauffeur waits in baggage claim at Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 with a name board, as the airport itself advises for pre-arranged car services, and walks you to the car. Complimentary waiting starts from the tracked landing. Our step-by-step Las Vegas airport limo guide covers each part of the arrival, including what to do if a bag goes missing.
Want to stop on the way in? Some visitors ask for a photo stop at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign at the south end of the Strip. Book the ride as a multi-stop trip in the web booker, or take the hourly chauffeur service from US$95 an hour, three hours minimum, and turn the arrival into a short tour.
Timing the ride back to the airport
The return is the leg people underestimate. Three things add up on departure day:
- The hotel driveway. Big resorts process hundreds of checkouts at once; a car arriving at 10:55 for an 11:00 pickup can spend minutes in the porte cochere queue. The chauffeur arrives early, and you should be in the lobby at the booked time.
- The drive. Plan on 39 minutes clear-road to LAS from the centre of the Strip, more in peak traffic and while the connector tunnel works continue.
- The airport. Check the LAS security wait times page on the day and add your airline's bag-drop cut-off.
Booking the round trip at the start fixes both legs. Many guests book the return in a smaller vehicle than the arrival, for example a Sprinter in and two sedans out when the group leaves on different flights; each leg can be booked separately.
Families, golf bags and event weeks
Three kinds of arrival change the maths more than any other. Families need child seats, and those are available on request: give each child's age and weight and the seats are fitted before the chauffeur leaves for LAS, so nobody is installing a seat at the curb after a long flight. A Business SUV, US$165 from LAS, takes six people and six bags, strollers included. Golf groups travel with clubs that do not fit a sedan trunk; four golfers with four bags and suitcases belong in an Executive Sprinter. Event weeks, such as the SEMA Show from November 3 to 6, 2026 at the convention center or the Grand Prix later that month, fill the taxi and app queues at the same hours, and that is when a car already waiting in baggage claim saves the most time.
Private car, taxi, bus or app: a quick verdict
Take the RTC bus if you are alone, light on luggage and not in a hurry; the airport's public bus page shows Route 108 and the Red Line stopping at Terminal 1 on Level Zero, with the inter-terminal shuttle from Terminal 3.
Take a taxi for one or two people at a quiet hour; the zone fares are published and fair.
Use an app if you are flexible and it is off-peak; pickups are in the parking garages.
Book a private car when you are four or more with bags, when you land late into a long queue, when a child seat must be ready, during CES, race week or a fight weekend, or when a client or a VIP is arriving. That is when a fixed, all-in price and a chauffeur in baggage claim are worth paying for. Our chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft page covers the wider comparison.

Frequently asked questions
How long is the drive from the Las Vegas airport to the Strip?
About 9 mi (14 km) to the centre of the Strip, which we plan at around 39 minutes on a clear road. The South Strip is closer and the North Strip farther. Through December 2026 the airport connector tunnels run with reduced lanes for repaving, so allow extra time, especially at peak hours.
Is the price different for the North Strip and the South Strip?
Not with Elly8.net. The fixed price from LAS is the same for every Strip hotel, from US$125 in a Business Sedan. Taxi zone fares rise from US$22.25 for the South Strip to US$30.25 for the North Strip, before fees, fuel surcharge, tax and tip.
Is a private car worth it for one person?
Usually only for a reason: a late landing into a long taxi line, a meeting straight from the airport, a client arrival or a fixed company budget. For one person with light luggage at a quiet hour, a taxi or the bus is the better value, and we say so.
What does the private car cost per person for a group?
Six people with six bags in a Business SUV pay about US$28 each, and twelve with twelve bags in an Executive Sprinter about US$27 each, for the fixed one-way fare including gratuity. That is close to the taxi cost per person, without splitting the group into several cabs.
When should we leave the hotel for the airport?
Add the hotel driveway queue, around 39 minutes of driving from the centre of the Strip, extra time for the tunnel lane closures, and the airport's live security wait time. Check your airline's bag-drop cut-off. The desk can suggest a pickup time when you book the return.
Can we book the airport ride both ways at once?
Yes. The LAS round trip to the Strip is listed from US$240 in a Business Sedan to US$620 in an Executive Sprinter. You can also book each leg separately in different vehicles if the group arrives together and leaves on different flights.
