An Aspen airport limo booked through Elly8.net meets you in the Commercial Traffic Circle as you leave baggage claim at Aspen-Pitkin County Airport (ASE), loads your skis and bags, and drives you about 4 miles (7 km) into downtown Aspen for a fixed, all-in price: US$145 in a Business Sedan, US$190 in a Business SUV and up to US$380 in an Executive Sprinter. The flight is tracked, and you get complimentary waiting after a tracked landing.
The ride itself is about 9 minutes on a clear road. What makes or breaks the arrival is everything around it: choosing a vehicle that actually holds a family's ski gear, knowing what the desk does when a storm sends your plane to Eagle or Denver, and planning around the airport's long closure in 2027. This guide walks through the arrival step by step. Rides in Aspen are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.
Where does the chauffeur meet you at Aspen airport?
At ASE, pre-arranged cars meet passengers in the Commercial Traffic Circle as you exit baggage claim, according to the airport. Your Elly8.net chauffeur waits there with a name board, having tracked your flight. Taxis and hotel shuttles use the Ground Transportation Circle; rideshare drivers meet passengers on the front drive.
That instruction comes straight from the airport's own taxis, shuttles and limos page, which also notes that pre-arranged transport is advised but not essential, because taxis are available. ASE is small: one terminal, one baggage claim, and a short walk from the carousel to the curb. That is a gift on a quiet Tuesday and a crowd on a Saturday in February, when several flights arrive close together and every family is waiting for the oversized-baggage door.
The chauffeur does not need you to call when you land. Because the flight number is on the booking, the desk sees the actual landing time and the chauffeur is in place for it. Take your time at the carousel; the complimentary waiting after a tracked landing exists precisely for the twenty minutes it can take for skis and boot bags to appear.
The arrival, step by step
- Before you fly. Book with your flight number, the number of passengers and an honest count of bags, skis, snowboards and boot bags. Add child seats if you need them; they are available on request, and the desk needs each child's age and weight.
- On the day. The desk tracks the flight from departure. If it leaves late, lands early or diverts, the pickup moves with it. Your chauffeur's details arrive before pickup.
- On landing. Walk to baggage claim, collect your bags and walk out to the Commercial Traffic Circle, where the chauffeur is holding a name board.
- Loading. The chauffeur loads the vehicle. Skis usually go in a roof box or the cargo area, depending on the vehicle the partner sends; this is why an accurate gear count matters.
- The drive. About 4 miles (7 km) east on Highway 82 past Buttermilk and the Aspen Highlands turnoff into town. For Snowmass Village, about 7 miles (11 km) and 13 minutes from the airport on a clear road, use the web booker for a fixed price to your exact address.
- At the door. The chauffeur unloads at your hotel or rental. Private homes up Red Mountain or out in the West End can have steep or narrow drives; tell us the address at booking and the desk will send a vehicle that suits it.
What fits: luggage capacity by vehicle
Most arrival problems in ski towns are luggage problems. A couple with two suitcases, two ski bags and two boot bags already has six items, several of them long. Use these capacities as a starting point and tell the desk about anything long or bulky.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Bags (standard suitcases) | ASE to downtown Aspen | Good fit for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Business Sedan | up to 3 | up to 2 | US$145 | One or two travellers with light luggage, no skis |
| First Class Sedan | up to 3 | up to 2 | US$255 | Executives, a quieter cabin, light luggage |
| Business SUV | up to 6 | up to 6 | US$190 | Couples or small families with skis |
| First Class SUV | up to 6 | up to 6 | US$235 | Families who want a newer, roomier SUV |
| Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | up to 12 | US$380 | Ski groups, wedding parties, multi-family trips |
Two practical rules. First, if anyone is bringing skis or a snowboard, skip the sedan: a sedan trunk holds suitcases, not long equipment. Second, if the group is at or near a vehicle's passenger limit, the luggage limit usually goes first. Six adults with six suitcases and six ski bags will be more comfortable in an Executive Sprinter than in a Business SUV.
The prices are per vehicle, not per person. As arithmetic for comparison only, an Executive Sprinter at US$380 carrying ten skiers works out to US$38 each, which is why ski groups rarely split into several SUVs. Prices include the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet; tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost.
Flat rate, not metered
The fare is fixed when you book. It does not change because your flight landed late, because the road through the Highway 82 roundabout backed up on a powder morning, or because every hotel in town is full for X Games weekend. That is the main difference from a taxi, which is metered, and from a rideshare app, which prices at the moment you request and depends on how many drivers are nearby. For the in-town comparison, including the free buses, read our post on Aspen taxi and rideshare fares.
Booked as a round trip (every class is listed in the Aspen fares panel), ASE to downtown Aspen and back starts at US$280 in a Business Sedan and runs to US$725 in an Executive Sprinter. The one-way fare is the same in either direction, so the departure run to ASE costs exactly what the arrival did.
Weather, diversions and the other two airports
Mountain airports divert flights more often than lowland ones. When weather closes ASE, flights are commonly sent to Eagle County Regional (EGE) or back to Denver (DEN). Because your flight is tracked, the desk usually sees the diversion as it happens. Call or message the 24/7 desk and we can move the pickup to the new airport; the fare for the new route then applies, and the desk confirms the change with you by email before a car is dispatched.
| Airport | Distance to downtown Aspen | Clear-road drive | Elly8.net one way | Round trip from |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aspen-Pitkin County (ASE) | about 4 mi (7 km) | about 9 min | US$145 to US$380 | US$280 |
| Eagle County Regional (EGE) | about 69 mi (110 km) | about 94 min | US$490 to US$1,275 | US$935 |
| Denver International (DEN) | about 223 mi (358 km) | about 274 min | US$1,235 to US$3,215 | US$2,350 |
Eagle is the realistic backup. The drive west on I-70 and up Highway 82 through Glenwood Springs takes about 94 minutes on a clear road. Denver is a mountain road trip of its own, with Colorado's Traction Law in force on I-70 in winter; our full guide is Denver to Aspen by private car. If your trip includes Vail, the Vail car service page prices Eagle to Vail Village separately.
The 2027 closure: plan summer arrivals by road
This is the most important planning fact for next year. According to the airport's closure page, ASE will close from April 4, 2027, at 11:00 p.m. through Friday, November 19, 2027, at 7:00 p.m. for runway work. Every arrival in that window, including the June festival season, comes by road.
The airport's own guide to travelling during the closure lists the alternatives: Vail/Eagle County at about 70 miles and 1 hour 35 minutes, Grand Junction and Montrose at about 130 miles each, and Denver at 3.5 to 4 hours. For an Elly8.net transfer, EGE and DEN are on the price list; for Grand Junction, Montrose or the Rifle general aviation airport, enter the address in the web booker for a fixed quote. Book early: when one airport closes, every car in the valley is suddenly doing a longer run.
Private jets at ASE
Private aviation is a large share of Aspen arrivals. Tell us the tail number and the FBO when you book, and the chauffeur meets you at the FBO door or planeside, depending on what the FBO allows that day. Wheels-up times move, so keep the desk updated; the chauffeur stages close by rather than at the ramp. Our private jet and FBO car service page explains how slot changes and late arrivals are handled. During the 2027 closure, private flights will use other airports too, which makes the road transfer the long part of the trip.
Booking tips that save time and money
- Count the gear, not just the people. It is the single most useful thing you can tell the desk.
- Book the departure at the same time. The round trip price locks in both legs, and early-morning departure slots fill on peak Saturdays.
- Give the full address, not the hotel name. Many Aspen stays are private homes; the exact address lets the desk check the driveway and the right vehicle.
- Add the flight number even for a short ride. Without it the desk cannot track delays or diversions.
- Think about the rest of the stay. If you need a car for a ski day across mountains or a dinner up valley, an hourly chauffeur in Aspen starts at US$115 an hour in a Business Sedan with a 3-hour minimum. Celebrations and late nights are covered in our post on Aspen party bus and Sprinter planning.
For any address not on the price list, the web booker gives you a fixed price before you pay. Elly8.net is a member of LimousineWorldwide.Directory, LimousineAssociation.International, HotelsWorldwide.Directory and VacationsWorldwide.Directory. Partner vehicles are 4 model years or newer.
How booking works
- Route and flight. Choose ASE to downtown Aspen on the Aspen car service page, or enter any address in the booker, and add your flight or tail number.
- Vehicle. Pick the class that fits your passengers and gear. The fleet page shows seats and bags.
- Reserve now. Pay securely; the confirmation arrives by email and the chauffeur's details follow before pickup.
Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. Refunds go back to the original card. For company travel, a corporate account adds monthly invoicing, and airport transfers explains how meet and greet works in every city we serve.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a limo from Aspen airport to downtown Aspen?
On Elly8.net, ASE to downtown Aspen is US$145 in a Business Sedan, US$190 in a Business SUV, US$235 in a First Class SUV, US$255 in a First Class Sedan and US$380 in an Executive Sprinter. Each price is per vehicle, fixed and all-in, including the chauffeur, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet.
Where exactly will my chauffeur be waiting?
In the Commercial Traffic Circle as you exit baggage claim, which is where the airport directs passengers with pre-arranged vehicles. The chauffeur holds a name board. You do not need to go to the Ground Transportation Circle, where taxis and hotel shuttles load, or the front drive used by rideshare drivers.
What vehicle do I need for skis?
Choose a Business SUV or First Class SUV for up to six people with gear, or an Executive Sprinter for larger groups. A sedan suits light luggage only. Tell the desk how many skis, snowboards and boot bags you have, so the partner sends a vehicle with room for everything.
What if my flight is diverted to Eagle or Denver?
The flight is tracked, so the desk usually sees the diversion as it happens. Contact the 24/7 desk and we move the pickup to the new airport. The fare for that route applies, from US$490 from Eagle or US$1,235 from Denver in a Business Sedan, and the desk confirms by email first.
Is Aspen airport open in summer 2027?
No. ASE plans to close from April 4, 2027, at 11:00 p.m. until November 19, 2027, at 7:00 p.m. for runway reconstruction. Plan on Eagle County, Denver or another regional airport, and book the road transfer early, especially for June events.
Can I cancel if my plans change?
Yes. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup. At 72 hours or less the charge is 10%, at 48 hours or less 50%, and at 24 hours or less or for a no-show 100%. A delayed flight is not a no-show, because the pickup follows the tracked landing.
