An Aspen party bus keeps a group together for a birthday dinner, a bachelor or bachelorette night, a wedding weekend or an X Games evening, with one driver who waits and gets everyone home. On Elly8.net, party buses are priced in the web booker for your exact addresses, date and hours, and the fixed-price alternative is a 12-seat Executive Sprinter at US$230 an hour in Aspen with a 3-hour minimum, all-in.
In a mountain town the vehicle choice matters more than usual. Snow, narrow streets in the West End, steep private driveways on Red Mountain and the drive between Aspen and Snowmass all favour vehicles that handle winter roads and carry coats, boots and sometimes skis. This guide covers sizes, realistic costs from the Aspen price list, a planning timeline and the questions to ask before you sign. Rides in Aspen are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.
How much does a party bus cost in Aspen?
On Elly8.net a party bus in Aspen is priced in the web booker for your route, date and hours, with the driver, taxes and standard gratuity included. The fixed-price alternative is an Executive Sprinter for up to 12: US$230 an hour (3-hour minimum), or US$1,150 for the evening out and event night package.
Party buses are not on fixed city price lists because the vehicles vary more than any other class, and a five-hour Saturday in the middle of ski season is a different job from a two-hour weekday transfer. The number the booker shows is the number you pay, with tolls and parking billed at cost. The Sprinter and SUV prices below are fixed on the Aspen fares panel.
Aspen prices you can plan around
| Booking | Business SUV (up to 6) | First Class SUV (up to 6) | Executive Sprinter (up to 12) |
|---|---|---|---|
| By the hour, 3-hour minimum | US$145 an hour | US$175 an hour | US$230 an hour |
| Evening out and event night | US$725 | US$875 | US$1,150 |
| Full-day chauffeur | US$1,070 | US$1,290 | US$1,695 |
| Maroon Bells day trip, 5 hours | US$670 | US$805 | US$1,060 |
| ASE to downtown Aspen, one way | US$190 | US$235 | US$380 |
All prices are per vehicle, not per person, and include the chauffeur, taxes and standard gratuity. As arithmetic for comparison only, twelve friends sharing the US$1,150 Sprinter evening pay about US$96 each; six sharing a Business SUV evening at US$725 pay about US$121 each.
Party bus, Sprinter or two SUVs?
Choose by group size, by what the group will do, and by where the vehicle has to go.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Strengths in Aspen | Watch for | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Party bus | up to 12 on our fleet page; larger on request | lighting, sound, perimeter seating, the vehicle is part of the night | length on narrow streets and steep drives; winter roads | web booker |
| Executive Sprinter | up to 12, with up to 12 bags | high roof, forward seats, room for coats, boots and skis, handles transfers too | less of a party atmosphere | fixed Aspen price list and booker |
| Stretch SUV limousine | up to 16 | the classic limo look for photos | low seating, long wheelbase | web booker |
| Two Business SUVs | up to 6 each | the group can split later in the night; good on steep drives | two vehicles to coordinate | fixed Aspen price list and booker |
In Aspen, the Sprinter is often the better call. It carries a group from Snowmass to dinner downtown and back, it can do the airport run on the same weekend, and it has room for the gear that winter brings. A party bus suits groups who want the vehicle itself to be the venue between stops, on a night when the roads are clear. The party bus rental and Sprinter van with driver pages explain both classes in detail, and the fleet page lists seats and bags.
Mountain realities that change the plan
Driveways and pickup points. Many Aspen groups stay in private homes. Some have steep, narrow or icy driveways where a long vehicle cannot turn. Give the exact address at booking; the desk checks it and either sends a vehicle that suits the drive or agrees a pickup point at the bottom.
Downtown curb space. Downtown Aspen is compact and busy on peak nights. The driver drops at the agreed point and stages nearby rather than waiting at a restaurant door; you call when you are ready. With a big group, agree one meeting point for the end of the night before you go in, so nobody is left looking for the vehicle in the snow.
Weather. Winter storms slow Highway 82 and the Snowmass road. Plans with several stops need slack between them.
Distance between bases. Downtown Aspen to Snowmass Village is about 11 miles (18 km), around 21 minutes on a clear road. A night that starts in Snowmass and ends in Aspen spends real time on the road, which is part of the hourly count.
Rules on board. The chauffeur follows Colorado's rules on alcohol in vehicles. Plan the toasts at the venue.
A planning timeline
Three months or more ahead. For the biggest weekends, start here. X Games Aspen runs January 29 to 31, 2027, at Buttermilk; the holidays and spring break fill the valley too. Weddings with many guests should book the guest shuttle as soon as the venue is fixed.
Six to eight weeks ahead. Settle the head count, the stops and the hours. Decide between one large vehicle and two smaller ones.
Two weeks ahead. Confirm the pickup addresses, especially for private homes, and the names and phone numbers of one or two group leads.
Seventy-two hours ahead. This is the free-cancellation line. Changes after this point have a charge: 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show.
On the night. One lead stays in touch with the driver. The 24/7 desk handles changes.
Summer 2027 needs special care. According to the airport's closure page, Aspen-Pitkin County Airport closes from April 4, 2027, at 11:00 p.m. to November 19, 2027, at 7:00 p.m. Summer wedding guests will arrive by road from Eagle or Denver, so book their transfers alongside the evening vehicles; our Aspen airport limo guide covers group arrivals and the alternatives.
Questions to ask before you sign
Whoever you book with, get clear answers to these. Here is how Elly8.net answers them.
- Is the price all-in? Ours includes the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost.
- What is the minimum? Hourly bookings in Aspen have a 3-hour minimum. Evening and full-day packages are fixed blocks.
- When does the clock start? For an hourly booking, at the booked pickup time.
- Is the price per person or per vehicle? Per vehicle, always.
- Who operates the vehicle, and is it insured? Licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network. Partner vehicles are 4 model years or newer.
- What is the cancellation policy? Free more than 72 hours out, then 10%, 50% and 100% at 72, 48 and 24 hours, refunded to the original card.
- What happens if the plan changes on the night? Call the 24/7 desk; extra time is billed at the listed hourly rate.
- Can the vehicle reach our address? Give the exact address and the desk will tell you.
If any provider cannot answer one of these in writing, that is the surprise you were trying to avoid.
Three sample budgets
These use only the fixed Aspen prices, so you can see how the choice of vehicle and package moves the total. Per-head figures are arithmetic for comparison only; every price is per vehicle.
Eight friends, one birthday dinner. Eight is too many for one SUV, so the choice is two Business SUVs or one Sprinter. Two Business SUVs on the evening out and event night package cost US$1,450 together, about US$181 each, and let the group split later. One Executive Sprinter on the same package costs US$1,150, about US$144 each, and keeps everyone together.
Twelve guests, a wedding welcome night. One Executive Sprinter for the evening package at US$1,150 is about US$96 each. If the night runs to six hours, booking the Sprinter by the hour instead costs 6 x US$230 = US$1,380, about US$115 each.
Six skiers, a full day plus dinner. A First Class SUV full-day chauffeur at US$1,290 covers the mountain hopping and the evening on one booking, about US$215 each, with the skis riding in the car all day.
If a party bus is what the group wants, enter the same plan in the web booker and compare the fixed price with these numbers side by side.
Typical Aspen celebrations
Birthday or anniversary dinner. One Sprinter or SUV, a pickup at the house, dinner downtown, a second stop, home. The evening package fits most nights.
Bachelor and bachelorette weekends. Often a mix: a group airport transfer on Friday, an evening vehicle on Saturday, and a Maroon Bells or highlights day in between. The private city highlights tour runs from US$580 in a Business SUV to US$920 in a Sprinter; see private city tours.
Wedding weekends. A car for the couple and a Sprinter shuttle for guests between hotels, the ceremony and the reception; see wedding limousine and guest shuttles.
Event nights. X Games evenings at Buttermilk: the driver stages at an agreed point rather than the venue entrance. More on event transportation.
Company retreats. A group dinner after an offsite day, with monthly invoicing through a corporate account and NDAs on request.
For short, separate trips during the week, you may not need a vehicle at all: the free buses and the Downtowner cover a lot of Aspen, as our post on Aspen taxis and rideshare explains.

Frequently asked questions
How many people fit on a party bus in Aspen?
The party bus class on our fleet page seats up to 12, and larger buses can be requested; the desk confirms what partners can offer for your date. An Executive Sprinter also seats up to 12, and a stretch SUV limousine up to 16. Over that, book two vehicles.
Is a Sprinter better than a party bus in Aspen?
Often, yes. A Sprinter has room for coats, boots and skis, handles winter roads and can also do airport runs, and it has a fixed price of US$230 an hour in Aspen. A party bus suits groups who want lighting and sound to be part of the night.
How far ahead should we book?
Three months or more for X Games weekend, the holidays and summer weddings; six to eight weeks for most other weekends. Booking early costs nothing extra, and cancellation stays free until 72 hours before pickup.
Can a large vehicle pick us up at a private home?
Sometimes not. Steep or narrow drives can rule out a long vehicle. Give the exact address when you book, and the desk will either send a vehicle that suits the drive or agree a pickup point nearby.
Is the price per person?
No. Every Elly8.net price is per vehicle. Dividing it by the group size is only a way to compare costs: twelve people sharing the US$1,150 Sprinter evening is about US$96 each.
Can we drink on board?
The chauffeur follows Colorado's rules on alcohol in vehicles, and we do not plan nights around drinking in the car. Plan toasts and celebrations at the venue; the driver's job is to get everyone there and home safely.
