Every Westchester party bus booking comes down to three numbers: how many people, how many hours, and what that costs per vehicle. Get them right and the night runs itself: one vehicle, one driver who waits outside every stop, and nobody deciding who drives home on the Hutch at 1 am.
On Elly8.net, party buses are priced in the web booker for your exact addresses, date and hours. The fixed-price benchmark on the Westchester list is a 12-seat Executive Sprinter at US$200 an hour with a 3-hour minimum, or US$1,000 for the evening out and event night package, per vehicle and all-in. This guide works through the numbers for the nights Westchester groups actually book.
How much does a party bus cost in Westchester?
On Elly8.net, a Westchester party bus is quoted in the web booker for your route, date and hours, with taxes and standard gratuity included. The fixed alternative is a 12-seat Executive Sprinter at US$200 an hour (3-hour minimum, from US$600) or US$1,000 on the evening out package, about US$83 a person for twelve as arithmetic.
Party bus prices move with the vehicle, the day and the hours, and a Saturday in prom season is a different job from a Wednesday in January. That is why the booker asks for every address. The price it shows is the price you pay; tolls and parking are billed at cost.

Number one: how many people
Count the real group, including the friend joining after dinner, then match it to a vehicle. Seats below are from our fleet page.
| Head count | Vehicle | Seats | Price basis | Typical Westchester night |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 to 3 | First Class Sedan | up to 3 | Westchester list, US$160 an hour | Anniversary dinner in Greenwich or Rye |
| 4 to 6 | Business SUV | up to 6 | Westchester list, US$125 an hour | Small birthday, double date, a show |
| 7 to 8 | Stretch Limousine | up to 8 | Web booker | Prom group photos, the classic look |
| 9 to 12 | Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | Westchester list, US$200 an hour | Concert, Manhattan night, brewery run |
| 9 to 12 | Party Bus | up to 12 on our fleet page | Web booker | Birthdays, bachelorette nights |
| 13 to 16 | Stretch SUV Limousine | up to 16 | Web booker | Larger prom groups and celebrations |
| 17 and up | Two vehicles, or a larger bus on request | varies | Web booker and desk | Big birthdays, team nights |
The desk tells you what partners can supply for your date rather than promising a size we cannot confirm. For 17 or more, two Sprinters at the fixed hourly rate also let the group split at the end of the night.
Party bus or Sprinter? A party bus has perimeter seating, lighting and a sound system; the vehicle is part of the celebration. An Executive Sprinter has forward-facing seats and a calmer cabin, and its hourly price is fixed on the published list. For a concert or a game, where the vehicle is mainly the way there and back, the Sprinter is usually the better fit. Compare them on the party bus rental and Sprinter van with driver pages.
Number two: how many hours
The classic mistake is booking the minimum and running over. Build the night backwards from the last drop-off.
- Pickups. Three houses in Scarsdale, Harrison and Rye can take most of the first hour.
- The drive. White Plains to Midtown Manhattan is about 29 miles (46 km), roughly 46 minutes on a clear road and far longer on a Friday evening. White Plains to Port Chester is about 11 minutes; to Rye Playland about 18.
- Dinner or pre-event. Two hours at a restaurant is two hours of the vehicle waiting outside, and waiting is part of the booking.
- The main event. A concert, a show or a game runs three hours with arrival and exit.
- Drop-offs. Twelve people to six addresses at the end of the night always takes longer than planned.
A Manhattan night out from central Westchester is rarely under five hours door to door; a local dinner-and-show night in the county often fits in four.
Number three: what it costs
On the fixed Westchester list, the Executive Sprinter is US$200 an hour and the Business SUV US$125 an hour, each with a 3-hour minimum. The evening out and event night package is US$1,000 in a Sprinter, US$625 in a Business SUV and US$500 in a Business Sedan, covering the ride there, the wait and the ride home. A full day is US$1,475 in a Sprinter and US$920 in a Business SUV.
| Plan | Executive Sprinter | Arithmetic per person, 12 guests | Business SUV | Arithmetic per person, 6 guests |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 hours (minimum) | US$600 | US$50 | US$375 | about US$63 |
| 4 hours | US$800 | about US$67 | US$500 | about US$83 |
| 5 hours | US$1,000 | about US$83 | US$625 | about US$104 |
| 6 hours | US$1,200 | US$100 | US$750 | US$125 |
| Evening out package | US$1,000 | about US$83 | US$625 | about US$104 |
| Full day | US$1,475 | about US$123 | US$920 | about US$153 |
Elly8.net prices are per vehicle, never per person. The per-person columns are arithmetic for comparison only, to help a group split the cost fairly. Time beyond the booked hours is billed at the hourly rate, so agree the end of the night before it starts.
The nights Westchester groups book
Prom and graduation. The busiest weeks of the year for group vehicles in the county. Parents usually want one vehicle, one set of pickups and a confirmed drop-off time. Our prom limousine page lists what to agree in advance, and the chauffeur follows New York law on passengers and alcohol.
Concerts in Port Chester. The Capitol Theatre at 149 Westchester Avenue in Port Chester hosts touring acts most weeks. It is about 11 minutes from White Plains, so the evening package or a 4-hour booking covers dinner, the show and home. See concert transportation.
Rye Playland. The county's Playland Park in Rye is a seasonal amusement park and beach; it publishes its schedule on its own site. For birthday groups in season, a Sprinter for three or four hours handles pickups, the park and drop-offs.
Manhattan nights and games. Bachelorette groups and birthday crowds often head into the city for dinner, a show or a game. Here the Sprinter or party bus earns its price: no train schedule at 1 am, no parking in Midtown, and everyone home in one trip. Our New York City car service page covers the city side.
Weddings. Guest shuttles and after-party runs are covered in our Westchester wedding limo guide.
A sample prom night, hour by hour
Prom is the night parents plan most carefully, so here is a typical schedule for a group of twelve in central Westchester, using an Executive Sprinter for five hours.
| Time | What happens | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 5:00 pm | First pickup, then two more houses | Parents confirm the addresses and the head count with the desk |
| 5:45 pm | Group photos at a park or a family home | Photos often run long; build in 15 minutes |
| 6:30 pm | Arrival at the venue | The chauffeur drops at the entrance the school specifies |
| 6:30 to 9:30 pm | Prom | The vehicle waits nearby or returns at a set time |
| 9:45 pm | Pickup at the venue | One meeting point, agreed in advance |
| 10:00 pm | Drop-offs at each home, or one agreed address | No unplanned stops |
Five hours in the Sprinter is US$1,000 at the hourly rate, the same as the evening out package. Parents can give the desk a contact number for the night, and the chauffeur follows New York law on passengers and alcohol.
Check the operator: New York's rules
New York has specific safety rules for large passenger vehicles, and any group should feel free to ask about them.
- Stretch limousines. NYSDOT's stretch and modified vehicle policy says it is unlawful to operate a New York-registered stretch limousine that is more than ten years old from its completed manufacture date or has more than 350,000 miles on the odometer, whichever comes first.
- Inspection and authority. The same policy says for-hire stretched or modified vehicles with more than 8 seats including the driver need a NYSDOT inspection, and those over 10 seats generally need NYSDOT operating authority unless an exemption applies.
- Inspection history. NYSDOT publishes operator profiles with inspection and out-of-service rates through BUSNET.
- USDOT number. Larger and interstate operators carry one; look it up on the FMCSA's SAFER system. A trip from Westchester into Connecticut or New Jersey crosses state lines.
Elly8.net partner vehicles must be four model years old or newer (seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley), and partners are licensed and commercially insured.

Frequently asked questions
How many people fit in a Westchester party bus?
Our fleet page lists the party bus class and the Executive Sprinter at up to 12 passengers, and the Stretch SUV Limousine at up to 16. The desk confirms what partners can supply for larger groups on your date. For 17 or more, two vehicles are usually the practical answer.
What is the minimum booking for a party bus?
Hourly bookings on the Westchester list have a 3-hour minimum: US$600 for an Executive Sprinter and US$375 for a Business SUV. Party buses are quoted in the web booker for your exact hours. For a full evening, the US$1,000 Sprinter evening package is often the simpler choice.
How long does it take to get from White Plains to Manhattan?
About 46 minutes on a clear road for 29 miles (46 km) to Midtown. Friday evenings, game nights and holiday weekends can add a lot more. For a Manhattan night, budget at least five hours door to door so nobody is rushed at the end.
Is a party bus cheaper than taxis for a group?
Usually, for a full group and a long night. A Sprinter on the US$1,000 evening package is about US$83 each for twelve as arithmetic, it waits outside every stop, and nobody has to find a ride home. For two or three people on a short local trip, a taxi is often cheaper.
Can we drink on a party bus in New York?
The chauffeur follows New York law on passengers and alcohol, and rules can depend on the vehicle and the passengers' ages. For prom and graduation groups, the answer is no alcohol. Ask the desk before you book rather than assuming.
How early should we book for prom season?
As early as possible. Prom and graduation weekends are the busiest of the year, and stretch limousines, party buses and Sprinters go first. Booking early secures the vehicle at the published price; free cancellation applies more than 72 hours before pickup.
